Noelle had to admit this place was actually pretty damn cool. It had all sorts of sceneries to check out, but the biggest one had to be the clearest sky she had ever seen. It was surreal, but also terrifying to think a year ago the most of the sky she had seen was a stormy cloud over a sunny sky drizzling lightly. There was no comfort compared to the rain that fell around her.

As they were told to walk and make a bouquet of flowers Noelle had nothing but confusion. It couldn't be that hard though right? Looking to Rory he had already asked her question for him, "Nothing flower shops don't really exist in Seattle. I think we can just collect a bunch of flowers though and hand in a finished product though?"

Squatting down Noelle would start to collect flowers she would cut quickly with the barb of her now closed umbrella, handing them to Rory to organize as they worked. Hopefully they would be able to just turn this in as a finished product pretty easily? Noelle had no clue if it would take.[break]

Noelle had to admit that he was being pretty tame today, as far as Rory standards, but that just meant she was going to have to watch him further then she already was. Lowering her umbrella to show Rory a Sunshine Pattern. Raising his PWR and lowering his DEF only to see the opposite happen to her own stats. It was almost getting to a point of automatic effect between the two. Noelle would take the hits, and Rory just needed to keep her alive and deal damage and he was disgustingly good at that. Like a cockroach that was sitting on someone's shoe and mocking them because their other foot was broken and couldn't squash the damn thing.

Says we need to collect resources for the base camp? I think that means for the place around that weirdo merchant. Should work out fine though? Anyways lets go, it says there are creatures we have to fight again, and I would prefer we got the combat over ASAP if we can, you know?" Noelle would stat as they started to walk away towards the location they were supposed to head to gather all of the needed materials for the base upgrades. Rory was likely smart enough to know to stick close with Noelle, since her range of attack redirection was low, but she was getting more useful overtime.

Vitality had become one of her main stats, yet hers was still F-Rank... it was a rather sad thing to note about her inventory. She would get by though, apparently you were also supposed to get tutorial rewards! And she hadn't seen those yet either which was disturbing to say the least.[break]

Noelle could do very little except laugh bitterly at the words that Mikael spoke as the rain around her picked up heavily. It was the worse case scenario in terms of how long this would take, and time meant that it was going to get dangerous. Though time also meant her strength grew rather then diminished, that did not mean to much in the grand scheme of things. Turning her umbrella to the the dragon and spun it to show a rainy pattern before it, a golden chain appearing around the dragons neck tightening in place as the rain around her glimmered purple and bombarded the dragon. Only to do, well, nothing. In truth that attack had not been planned to strike the creature down, but to layer on her debuffs.

I also hope your Willpower is good cause, I am awful at not affecting allies with one of my abilities and it could make things bad for you..."

Stepping in front of the attack and opening her umbrella the rain around her would begin to swirl into her like a halo into the eye of the storm as the beam was forcibly bent into Noelle herself. The attack being eaten by her umbrella thanks to its potent shielding and the not so obvious existance of the type weakness. Though both dragon or Noelle could know they were both the same variance of element, judging their existance as a shelter or gift wasn't public knowledge either could judge.[break]

Well that was kind of a messed way for the story to go, Noelle was reminded in a way of the story of hansel and gretel, two siblings that wandered into the woods they were told not to play in only to end up in danger. It was a story with the message not to wander around in the unfamiliar, but also not to go into stranger's homes. In this case bother were the case - the woods was a home to a stranger that was strong, and the

"So the woods is the only real clue we got? Should we start inside there then? Or is there more Ma'am?" Noelle would ask with a calm, and gentle voice if a bit cold. Though every word they said seemed to be slightly cold, perhaps a side effect to the gloomy posterior of the young adult.

Continuing to sit back Noelle would let the words and thoughts sink in deeper. If this was really how it was going to be, then she just needed to relax for now. There was going to be a lot of walking, and even more walking in the future of the duo and she didn't see Sebastian as the type who liked breaks very much so far.[break]

Noelle was not exceptionally quiet, but she did at least have the brain to try and stealth a bit, activating her jacket to hide her into her surroundings, though it would not mean too much. Against enemies with high WIL, undead did not tend to fall into that boat at all. Quite the conundrum for her to deal with, though she was incredibly interested in this zone as it was. The semi-abandoned land of robots and undead... it was both a cruel land and a fascinating one. Noelle being able to enjoy the misty weather even as she tried to elude the creatures here.

The halls were dimly lit though nothing you couldn't view the full hall under. Just annoying more then harmful. Noelle had come to Ender with Rory forever ago, yet she had never actually attempted the missions other then the first. However, recent events would speak otherwise for the young lass on whether she should of or not. Now there was a way to regularly access the forge, yet that took a lot of resources. Resources Noelle did not have, conditions to be met, it was work. So here she was once more babysitting her constant companion in what she would call a miserable game of life. If he wasn't a gambler by trade Noelle would of walked away from the toxic sort of friendship the two had. She, however, didn't because for all her grievances Rory didn't actually give her any anxiety... which was nice when the world tried to kill you constantly.

"Two missions on one go right Rory? Can you even do that sort of thing? That feels super not system legal," Noelle would state bluntly as she looked over the incredibly not thought out plan from her partner in crime. Truly the most fucked of bonnie and clydes... sans the romance. Definitely sans the romance. That was ashen ground that would never in ten thousand years be a thing even a night on hard substances.

Noelle would stand next to Rory doing her best not to flip her shit at the talking corpse. It was one of those situations where the two were dealing with a conundrum that Rory's behavior was a problem on. Noelle would slap the back of his head at the disrespect the first time. Listening to the undead guru immediately never breaking eye contact to the spirit once it had begun speaking on the mission.

Noelle didn't have much to say about Hana's suggestions, or Lafey's statment. Just a nod, though she supposed if she was going to be rude like this then she could at least try and help the two out some. But how was hard to say, after all they really didn't have much of anything to gain from their interactions. Exhaling her breath she would stand up and stretch out from inside of her massive jacket. The zipper holding shut over her body leaving her to look much like a bell from the neck down, though the jacket didn't billow out very wide from her boots.

"I could go for some work, I need to level after all..." Noelle would notice a notification and click it only to see a screen stating choices, Cyclical Seraph and Melancholic Martyr... She was neither an angel or a martyr, yet her offerings were as such. The system constantly ruined her weather patterns, the only good it ever gave her was the constant shower she could control. That made the choice simple, and choosing it would make her privy to far too much information.

Noelle was doing her best to keep her face from giving him a concerned look, easy enough to do with her WIL. Shrugging she shifted her umbrella as she listened to him, the rain never stopping its fall from nowhere around her, though the ground stayed dry. A good sign it was not truly raining. Reaching out a pale hand she would shake the young man's hand with no firmness to her grip at all.

Noelle had practically screeched her way into a different vehicle as the swarm of other cars at large slowed to enter into a refueling state. The second money shot missing, though only barely, Noelle having activated Hazy Stroll while Rory was distracting their newest quarry with something akin to a charm. Looking for an answer amidst the panic that was trying to not get hit by the seemingly overwhelming firepower, Noelle had to look around when she spotted what she hoped would be the game changer.

Purchasing her new tool of salvation, Noelle was greeted with a new set of tools. Though she didn't really have time to think on it too much, "Rory I don't think diplomacy is working with our wonderful compatriot here cares about diplomacy. I might have some medicine for that problem, but I can't touch him with my debuffs. System keeps saying 'invalid target'."

Noelle would watch the gauge of the vehicle fill and sigh, they wouldn't be getting away too quickly just yet. But the approaching tank had also slowed. Then came the molotovs. Noelle had been busy, and it was off kilter enough that it wouldn't of engulfed Rory, but it did catch Noelle. The fire licking in on the back of her neck. Noelle felt more complete in her misery then she had months prior, or even a month ago now. Wanting nothing more then to fade into nonexistence, and she had been for a time. Stuck in stasis during the initial fallout. Now she simply went about her time. Having a need, especially now after receiving her subclass, Noelle figured out what she needed to do and she was quickly making progress towards that. Having made the error of taking all of her abilities at a lower level she aimed to open the slot she had carelessly filled.

Noelle was not completely convinced to join a guild when she had caught wind of SIGMA, but she had liked the sound of the structure and its general vibe as a paranormal investigations group. Though joining the Investigation team had been brought about the fact that she often simply followed after Rory mindlessly because he actually went out of his way to see the world and she enjoyed his adventurous attitude even if she also hated his guts thoroughly as one could given they were tolerable of him to an incredible degree. Like having a doofy golden retriever while being incredibly allergic to dogs, the conflict of interest didn't stop the dog from being a favorable pet overall.

Having come to the opening ceremony in partial because of their applications Noelle had not expected something so incredibly formal as this. Rory had come in a suit, but Noelle had simply put away her umbrella and removed the rain effect that it caused. Leaving her simply looking partially soaked from within her raincoat, refusing to fit to a formal dress code she had not known about past what was generally formal. Her raincoat generally recolored to make it look like a closed off trenchcoat over black slacks, "Rory keep you voice down moron, this is a really high class looking event. Your gonna ruin the job prospect if you go around shoulding the entire time."

This was followed by a sigh as she turned to the new voice looking blank as always. Though something about the man before her was incredibly unnerving, to a point that those that were perceptive would notice the pale lady would pale ever so slightly more. Tommy was unnaturally beautiful, in a way that ran a chill down her spine, and it was not the kind sort of stimulus. Keeping her mouth shut she looked to Rory only to see the boy had practically chained himself as the gentlemenly type near immediately... simp.[break]

Laughter. The ugly kind that came from someone who really needed it. That was Noelle's reaction to Dantalion shooting the turtle. The world around her phasing into black and white as she continued to wail in laughter. The sight of the water-fearing boat-hating moron she called a travel companion being absolutely bone-chillingly soaked evoked a sense of glee from the normally incredibly gloomy woman.

Noelle had been getting the hang of things when a flying smoldering mess of piss green mini cooper came flying from around the corner and she was now very focused on dodging around as she felt herself speed up. The arrival of a LITERAL tank had her glaring daggers at Rory and if it wasn't for the mega phone tank man threats she would have immediately started to smack Rory to death with her umbrella. An incredibly slow kind of death in this situation. Sadly the swerving and her speed kept her from doing so as they entered a tunnel with seperating columns. A part of the track that would ensure that the groupd couldn't split up, which made the tunnel into a meat grinding station.

"JUST A JOYRIDE RACE RORY? IM TAKING YOU ON A DAMN BOAT AFTER THIS SOMEHOW JUST YOU WAIT!" Noelle would shout over the wind at the young man next to them. She was slowly pushing forward again as the men behind loaded their cannon. Pulling out her umbrella she would open it, and cause a bubble-like shield of haziness to cover them as cannon fire would shoot out her way and connect with a vicious boom. With the attack blocked Noelle would continue glaring at Rory as she decided to time the pillars. Swinging the vehicle across the way into a weirdly empty path.

Having shifted out the way Noelle was sure they were out of the way and back up at the lead of the pack where the two had begun... but it was certainly hard to tell.[break]

Noelle had not been home since she first broke from her tutorial. A long time had gone by since that day, nearly half a year and she was certain that she was becoming stronger and stronger by the minute. Or something like that, all in all, Noelle was the weakest she ever could or would be. The only way to go was up, so she had. Calmly she had quelled her mind through the numbing of stats. Surely she was finally going to have substance, something that would make her more then a nothing. A nobody that latched onto important someones... at least she hoped.

"Back where it began, just to make it to the next step in the journey... real hero mentality there buddy," Noelle would state out loud to herself. Was this main character syndrome? Perhaps the world wandering had warped who she was. She was miserable, constantly, yet she felt nothing really. Numb. Numb and cold. Perhaps that was the secret to finishing everything.

Emptiness, would make her whole. The system had chosen her to become misery and sorrow, it mocked her with the clown clothes that she was forced to work with. If that was her role though, so be it. They would become the misery for the world. They would become the system's source of sorrow.[break]
