"I should of known this was our luck," Noelle would state with a grumble as she changed her raincoat's shade to be a white in shade, matching her halo to a degree. Both radiating some amount of light, though mostly the halo. Turning themself into a massive glowstick for light as Noelle raised the umbrella above her head and began to walk in with an expression that was fully aggitated. The insanity of their buffed Defense stat going right over her head.

Heading Deeper in Noelle would lighten the false rain that she always had around her as she didn't want to make too much echo inside of what was... slowly expanding out actually. Less of a cave then it was an entrance overrun. The walls cobbled stone that seemed incredibly sturdy for being built into the earth, "You think this is a re-used buried city?"

Noelle would keep walking straight even when they saw turns, not wanting to really deal with twisting routes unless they found a dead end in the initial tunnel.[break]

Noelle was lying to say she hadn't been expecting way more of a challenge when she had come to deal with these things then she was actually experiencing. Rory and her were not the beginner's they once were and, granted, all of her damage and seemingly Rory's were incredibly easy to spread or AoE, Noelle found that they were an even better duo then she thought. A chuckle came from her as the silent drizzle of her rain became the only other noise again.

"I actually expected that to go waaaaay worse, I won't lie. Is this what they call overpowered in video games? If it is something is definitely going to go very very wrong here Rory," Noelle would state with her chuckle coming back to her more somber self. She was not going to be big-headed just because probable small fry were easier to take down. Shaking her head she would begin to stuff her inventory with rock and wood for the base camp before turning to her... ya know she probably would never say it out loud, but friend. She turned to her friend and made sure he was doing the same as she was.

As they continued to stroll inland Noelle felt more and more unease wash over her. Why though? She couldn't place they why. That was until they found a large rocky cave entrance with symbols lining the outside. A prompt appearing in front of her and an audible ' you have to be kidding me ' groan coming from her lips.[break]

Noelle was choosing the race this time, and Rory WAS NOT making her drive. It just was not happening, Noelle would play defense, and the could just smash through people using Rory's abilty to make them powerful! It was a simple concept, they were the tank and Rory was the offense. Especially since the duo always lacked that third member who brought the serious UMPH to combat. After taking Tankman off the road and winning their previous race they had been asked to join one of three big races and Noelle had chosen the one that was most likely to help them succeed in the future, or rather help her. Given that she had seen a few skateboards and the tie she was borrowing from Enigma let her summon a cloud? She was pretty sure she could eventually buy the tie, and get a driver's license. With those two things in hand she would combine the tie to a small vehicle and potentially something to help her achieve her goal of a flying rain cloud as a vehicle. It had to be possible right? It felt wrong for it not to work.

"The track goes over sandy roads, ice, and some really massive trees. You think they're redwoods? They have to be right? Now that were not about to die! I think this might actually be nice," Noelle would say with some amount of open cheer. The weird plushy in her hands having had its odd moon-sun head changed completely just to be a sun. After it had Noelle had seemed a lot less sullen, if still incredibly gloomy just naturally.

It was like the plushy had warped her mood to one that was high energy. Like medicine that she had no way of getting naturally due to the system ruining the world's ability to run pharamcy, but also removing its most necessary means. With her seatbelt set, Umbrella ready for use in one hand and her halo glolwing just a tiny bit brighter she looked nearly like a different person if not for the very laid back expressions that barely showed change.[break]

Noelle wasn't surprised that he wouldn't of guessed her love of Angels was a thing. It wasn't particularly a large love in her life, but the biblically accurate kind of angel was just really neat to her from a horror standpoint. It made her want to talk on it more, but as she went ot go do so some very stupid birds went in for a blast on Rory. Raising her Umbrella she would rush to close what little space she needed to with Rory to fully condense the blow. Though not until the three attacks had blasted his shield into pieces. Willing the rain around her to twist and turn Noelle would rip the storm in her direction. Funneling the blasts into her umbrella which easily absorbed the damage dealth by the attacks

"Well there are the monster!" Noelle would state nonchalantly as she swipped her umbrella upwards and would show one of the birds its worst nightmare before a jet spray of sharp rain would fly up and into the birds. Causing one of the creatures to drop outright, which was incredibly surprising for Noelle since she had incredibly low damage. She was not about to complain though as the next wave was already on them. Horrifying wolf creatures that looked like they had crawled out from some LCD-induced nightmare. Eyes covering their bodies as they rushed at Noelle and Rory. Noelle would keep close as the wolves ran in. The rain continuing to swirl heavily around her as the trio of wolves went to pounce, caught in Noelle's force of gravity in the situation two of them were immediately pulled onto her.[break][break]

As the wolves latched to her Noelle would release a pulse around her that would even hit that felt like the dread and lethargy of death condensed into a physical pressure. Though it wouldn't hurt him the sudden black and white world consuming them both certainly made the dreary scene even harder to watch. Each of the wolves beginning to bleed from their many eyes as the damage tok root. Noelle stabbing in finally to one of them with her umbrella's barbed end as the umbrella closed. Its body dropping dead, another surprise.[break][break]

Noelle had listened and followed along without any word. She didn't have anything to say that Rory didn't already state for the both of them collectively. It was like that at times with him, he spoke before she could even get a word in and she didn't fully mind that at all. It meant at times a response was not needed and it solved one of her largest issues; social batteries still existed for her.

As the mission ended atop the stairs Noelle had to squint in confusion at the notification and further at the half of a key that was now populating her inventory. They're ability to deal with this sort of fetch quest that called itself a 'C-Rank' mission was vastly hindered by the fact that even the lower ranking missions she had been on had taken longer and dealt with far more moving parts then this, but free rewards were free rewards, "Skill is nice yeah. Key is kind of useless for the moment, but we can fix that. Either way lets head back to the base Rory, this place still doesn't feel quite right and Im partial to trust my gut."

Noelle had found this entire mission to just be strange. They had gone all of the way out here only to be told to make a flower bouquet? That didn't seem right at all, but she had a nice time in the almost surreal fields. Things here were nice, almost too nice for what they were. Noelle actually felt more at ease here then she had in a while and even Rory was being tame, which was an unordinary situation for the young man. He was almost always so brash, yet here he was relaxed as could be.

Noelle would have continued the task until they had a pretty sizable collection of the different flowers, a collection that was kind of poorly placed together all things considered, but maybe that was just a part of the place they were in. Rory would voice something having pointed out a beehive, and what was wrong about this place finally dawned on Noelle as well, "I guess living things don't stay here, but maybe that's why this place just felt wrong despite seeming so tranquil?"

Noelle would stand as they offered the flowers to the shrine and stood, walking back towards the monk. Noelle wondered what was next, but stayed quiet, there was really no reason to disturb the peace her, especially not after seeing Rory alter the landscape for the better with the bee bomb.[break]

Noelle was never one for parties when she was in college. She had been the type that went home from school and watched TV with her little brother. A homebody type with an adventurous, if gloomy spirit was a good way to look at Noelle, and frankly she was trying to change. Change just happened to suck a donkey sized.... that train of thought was a bit too crude. Looking around she would notice Hana and the wave as they made contact and that was reason enough to part ways with Rory for the time being.

As unluck would have it, Rory too had found someone he wanted to go talk with and Noelle wasn't going to stop him from socializing at a social event. She wasn't a babysitter 24/7 after all. As the buff came, Noelle almost out of habit would lower her umbrella from her inventory and open it to spin sunshine into Rory's pep and step, "Careful over there, I'm gonna head to talk with Hana."

Noelle's response was short as the crime duo broke apart and Noelle would approach Hana from across the way, "Didn't expect to see ANTHEM's guild leader here, Tommy over there pay you to sing or something?" Noelle would ask as she got closer, their expression marginally less gloomy, more laid back and relaxed then usual. Though that may have been the fact she got away from the terrifying gaze of the guildleader.[break]
