Noelle hadn't bothered to stop and do anything particularly interesting today, she had caught wind of a missions and with Rory predisposed to... somewhere, that rat bastard didn't ever sit still, Noelle was left to go take on the mission alone. Or she would have, but the system denied that option. Further there had actually been two options opened to her in that time originally. However, Noelle was not the type of fool to look at something and spend weeks pondering, she had made her decision based on the direction of the clouds, brewing above into a storm. Taking the pill of the shark people, still confused by why there were shark monsters with intelligence?

Needing a partner though she went through her contacts, Dee Dee was whited out for some reason, Rory wasn't answering, so she messaged her only other contact - Dantalion. She didn't know the new age crusader very well, but he had said to call if she needed help and she was sure he had planned to join the war front here in the first place. He was that kind of guy to begin with, "I apologize if its bad timing, but I would hope you are willing to pledge with me to side with one end of the war effort here Mr. Dantalion. Out of the two the storm seems to side with the sharks who I also believe will be more straight forward in their approach and response then the Naga. No way to confirm without visiting but there is a barrier preventing my further continuation without a partner in this time. Thanks for the consideration."

Waiting from there she would sit in the drizzling of her own rain. It had been some time since they first managed to break land here and she was not sure if Dantalion would even remember her. Perhaps she was too formal? She would need to find out sooner or later.[break]

Stalking this island had been an amusing passtime and dealing with the monsters had been interesting, however he wanted something a bit more. He knew there were secondary missions available around here and was considering taking one up one of them when a message flashed up in his vision. He crossed his arms over his chest as he read over it before giving a small hum and a nod. He pulled up the messaging interface and sent a return. "No timing is bad timing for slaying monsters and demons, Ms Noelle. It would be a pleasure to join you on this quest. I shall be with you shortly." He nodded and sent the message off, not really thinking that he was just as formal, if not more than the woman.[break][break]
A short time later, Dantalion had moved to Noelle's position and raised a hand in greeting. Unlike last time he was seen, he wasn't wearing a black cloak but now a full suit of heavy black plate armour with a wispy smoke-like cloak floating from the back and a hood pulled up over his head to ward off the rain. Deep veins ran through the armour and down to the clawed fingertips of the gauntlets, pulsing through a variety of colours. "It's good to see you well. I was somewhat surprised to see you were joining the sharks but of the two, they are the ones I'd rather deal with."[break][break]
He paused for a moment and looked out into the distance, pursing his lips slightly and crossing his arms over his chest. "Though of course both factions will have to die eventually. Monsters cannot be left to roam the land for too long but it's best to eliminate smaller groups of foes first before making more enemies." He gave a shrug as though it was the simplest thing in the world. "So we play nice for now and learn what we can." Dantalion waved a hand forward, allowing Noelle to go first if she wished, otherwise he'd step forwards and start moving towards the Shark territory.

As the two approached got closer to the Shark’s Reef, they would find an odd sight- Rory, wearing a shirt that said ”I <3 Paris”[/b] over his cocoon coat, was flying through the air. In the ocean just off-shore in the direction they were headed, a Giant Sea-Turtle drifted slowly through the water. It bobbed toward and away from the shore-line, and the turtle itself seemed to be asleep; bubbles rose from its nose as it drifted with the waves. While it was a very calm creature, the creature on its back was anything but. ”C’MONNNN WAKE UP ALREADY PLEASEEEEEE PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE”Rory knelt with his hands to the turtle's shell, holding on for dear life.. He had fallen asleep on a massive rock near the shore, but what was meant to be a short nap turned into anything but. The rock, as it happened, was this turtle. Though Rory had woken up, the tables had turned: now it was the turtle who dozed off after crawling into the sea. He finally stood, holding his [Novel of Sellf-Discovery] in hand. As he stood, so too did the illusion of him in the sky above. He didn’t have any flares, but figured it was close enough to work- well, if anyone else was trying to go to The Shark Reef, anyway! ”Why did it have to swim all the way out here!! We could’ve just stayed on the shore where it’s dry… and safe… and not wet…” He held the book to his forehead, using it to block out the sun and scan the horizon- though it didn’t help at all. He was just about to give up and collapse again when finally, at the last second, his [Passive] activated: someone with a [+25% DEF] was approaching. Seeing this, he began waving his hands in their direction. He didn’t know any flag signals, but kinda wished he did right now; instead, it was all he could manage to do the Y M C A signs. It was like Noelle had rotten luck to gain a seventh sense born of disgust. Rory. He had no reason to be anywhere close, yet she could just tell he was. Looking around as Dantalion arrived she sighed, standing. To the man, Noelle had changed only slightly. Her coat looked drenched completely on the exterior and the colors shifted to blend more evenly with her surroundings in browns and greens rather then the black coat she had had before. Her umbrella seemed to shift in color similarly to blend, as she waved.

"Its good to see you too, though I think we've both gotten a lot stronger since we first travelled here. Anyways its just up the beach front from here so if we follow the coat we should be there in just a few..." Noelle trailed off as she looked out onto the water having moved to point her umbrella as the rain continued to fall around her from an unseen source. In the water a massive shark man was quickly encroaching on Rory and the massive turtle. That fool, that absolute idiot was about to die while trying to dance.

Noticing that the giant shark man was Merin himself, Noelle ran out to the beach to shout, "He's with us! We are here to pledge to your cause! Don't eat the idiot on the turtle please!" Her yell seemed to get some form of attention from the massive merman, as he stopped to look out and over to her. With a nod, it glared and seemed to back away. Noelle had seen few enemies she would genuinely say she was terrified of, but that was certainly one of them.[break]

No matter what happened it always seemed like Rory had a way of showing up. Was Dantalion's fate inextricably linked to the unluckiest person in this Creator Forsaken world? He gave a soft sigh and reached up, closing his eyes and resting the tips of his clawed fingers onto them before giving a gentle shake of his head and looking over to Noelle. "He is surprisingly hard to be rid of, isn't he?" He said with a note of amusement in his voice before hopping down some rocks and closer to the actual beach. Noelle beat him to shouting to the sharkman and that was fine, less sin on his own soul.

Once he was down on the beach he reached out to the side and folded his fingers in thin air and from a flurry of ghostlight and the scent of gravedirt a massive scythe landed in his hand. He tilted it back and rested the snaith against his shoulder, the blade clicked down and a long barrel extended from the top of the haft. Pale white-green smoke drifted from his right eye and a pair of crosshairs filled into his irises as the smoke drifted down and folded around his left forearm, forming a weapon mount there. "Rory! I guess you're joining the sharks with us, I'm afraid you don't get the choice now my friend." He called out, the smile on his face starting off warm but turning a bit wicked.

"And if you're going to be joining the sharks then there's a lesson you need to learn." He dropped the scythe and pulled the trigger. A screaming bullet of spectral energy blasted out and slammed into the turtle's shell, skipping off with a screech. Almost immediately the turtle was startled and dived under the water. "It's sink or swim, Rory!" He called out with a sing-song tone before spinning the scythe around and clipping it onto his back. He then turned to Noelle and gave her a shrug. "I don't feel like getting wet just now. Rory needs to be more careful about where he ends up." He told her plainly before crossing his arms over his chest to see if he needed to actually stop Rory from getting eaten or not.

"MY SAVIOURS! WOOOO! Rory was confused when he heard Noelle calling out something about Sharks, but the giant fin in the water beside him caused his face to drain. Oh. Noelle thankfully wasn't alone, with Dantalion walking up beside her in that fancy armor of his. "Aw you guys came out here for me? But um- PROBLEM!" Rory started tapping the turtle aggressively on its head, hoping it would wake up and get them the hell out of here. Noelle and Tali were still shouting about joining the sharks, making Rory take pause. Was this one of the tribes they could ally with on Ender Island? Well, Rory didn't really want to hang out with Sharks if it meant being around water all the time! Maybe there was like, a monkey tribe he could help, or a squirrel tribe, or a- Tali's attack rang out so loudly that Rory fell to his feet. The turtle jerked awake, right as Rory realized what the man had meant. "WAIT NONONONO TALI HOW-" Rory had to shut his mouth as the turtle dove below the surface, bringing him along with it. As fast as the turtle was moving, Rory didn't get a chance to hold onto it, meaning that now… he was on his own in the ocean. He flailed about, trying to stay calm and think if his class could somehow save him, but absolutely freaking out nonetheless. He turned in the water, and if he could breathe he would have screamed. A massive, bulging-muscle sharkman wearing tattered shorts watched Rory flailing about, and gave him a look of confusion. "WHAT PUNY MAN DO FLAPPING FOR? CANNOT MOVE LIKE FISH?"Rory was terrified, but shook his head in the water. The shark man laughed, before darting forward in an instant, grabbing him, and leaping onto land. Rory coughed, and shouted afterwards. "TALI!"He realized the shark was still holding him, however, and shut-up "MORE HUMAN COME HELP MERFOLK?" Rory didn't recognize Marin, but the Sharkman had encountered other players that allied themselves with him already, and stood waiting for a response. dantalion Noelle

Laughter. The ugly kind that came from someone who really needed it. That was Noelle's reaction to Dantalion shooting the turtle. The world around her phasing into black and white as she continued to wail in laughter. The sight of the water-fearing boat-hating moron she called a travel companion being absolutely bone-chillingly soaked evoked a sense of glee from the normally incredibly gloomy woman.

Catching her breath as Marin drug the boy towards them Noelle would talk low and slow for Tali to hear, "I... Good lord Dantalion I needed that. Having been doing my best to keep that moron alive, which admittedly Rory is stronger then he looks. He's also insufferable and Im pretty sure he will die if he ever goes off on his own,"

With their allegiances set she was simply waiting for the eventual tossing that Rory would hopefully get back up onto the shore so she could drag him onto some mission with her. He was probably here looking for money anyways. Dantalion would also likely be, but there was no full guarantee as far as she knew on that matter.[break]

Sometimes sinners had to be put in their place and if it was incredibly funny to do so that was just a welcome side effect. For the first few seconds Tali managed to keep his composure and a straight face but after hearing Noelle buckle beside him and start laughing he couldn't help it. He turned to the side and lifted a hand to pull his hood down slightly to hide the fact he was silently laughing, his shoulders shaking with the effort of keeping it in. After a few moments he took a deep breath, dusted his armour down and turned back to face them.

"I don't think the world is kind enough to kill him off, this is part of our penance for being here." He said to Noelle simply with a smirk on his face. With that done he turned to Rory and gave him a nod. "If one makes mistakes, one must learn to fix them or deal with them." His voice remained level as though he had done something completely reasonable. "I'm sure next time you'll check your surroundings more carefully." With that done he turned to the rather large sharkman that was nearby, making sure to keep one hand near the snaith of the scythe resting on his back.[break][break]
"We are here to assist the sharks. I've heard you've had issues with one of the other tribes on the Island." He said simply, crossing his arms over his chest and waiting to see if either of the other two were going to chip in or give any more information. He wasn't the best at negotiating but he was pretty good muscle when it all came down to it and hopefully that would be enough.

”uhm yes mr. sharkman human d-do come to help?!” Rory fought against the Mer man’s grasp, but it was futile, so he meekly gave his allegiance to him. It couldn’t be that bad, could it? After all, what was the worst that could happen?

With the others also being here to pledge themselves to the shark, Marin gave a toothy grin and dropped Rory to the ground. ”GOOD! HUMANS AND PUNY ONE COME TO SHARK REEF! MARIN WILL WAIT!” Rory glared at his friends as he rang out his coat. ”Well, uhhhhhhhhh…” He didn’t really know how to react, but the sharkman didn’t wait for him to. He had already turned back ot the shore, and dived in with a massive splash. His fin grazed the surface of the water, but quickly faded from view.
”Wait a sec, don’t tell me they live out in the sea?!” He slumped down, realizing that being friends with sharks meant he would probably be around the water a lot more often than he would’ve liked. Tossing a still-soaked coat over his shoulder, he shook his head to clear water out of his ear and turned to his allies. ”That was the goal, right? Being shark-people friends? Cuz uh… that was a big guy, a REALLY big buy. I dunnnno that he would like it if we backed out-” Rory’s own words made realization hit him even harder. He was DEFINITELY going to be spending more time around the water. He groaned.
