Sebastian couldn't help but smirk internally as Enigma seemed to have been caught off guard by the appearance of his spiderlings. He himself had been somewhat disturbed by them at first but they've since grown on him and he'd come to love them in his own way. "Of course, they don't just look pretty but what would be the fun in telling."[break][break]

With the match starting, Sebastian wasn't surprised to see that Enigma turned invisible once again. It was a powerful ability and he had already learned that Sebastian had no way of seeing through it leaving the teen with the only option of trying to sus out his location using his spiderlings.[break][break]

"Of course, he already changed locations. He must have some sort of stealth effect or something to muffle the sound of his footsteps." Sebastian thought as his eyes darted around his surroundings. He had no idea which angle Enigma would be attacking from but he would be ready to react to it. He quickly created another 5 spiderlings; releasing them from his hands and recalled the first batch, encircling himself in a barrier of 10 baseball-sized spiderlings.[break][break]

He didn't have to wait long either as a flash of light appeared in his peripheral vision, revealing itself to be one of the mask wear's signature butterflies. Dodging it, he sent two of his spiderlings to charge toward where he estimated the attack to come from, curious to see.[break][break]

Sebastian kept his body visibly relaxed as he waited to see if something was going to come charging at him from the treeline or not. Enimga still hadn't answered him back yet which was more of a cause for concern for the spider teen.[break][break]

Just as he began planning his exit, Enigma shimmered into existence some steps away and waved at him. Sebastian gave back a two-finger salute though he was still wary of the situation. While Enigma was someone that he got along with and had somewhat gotten to know from the previous encounters, that didn't mean that the teen would be fully trusting of him. Friends betray each other all the time after all, otherwise, his family wouldn't have run such a successful business.[break][break]

"Enigma. I was beginning to think something had happened to you when you didn't respond." he said in a nonchalant tone as he walked toward the mask-wear. Internally, the teen's mind was going into overdrive as he tried to dissect Enigma's ability. "How did he turn invisible? I couldn't even sense him. I have to come up with some way to detect that."[break][break]

Sebastian listened carefully as Enigma talked about subclasses; something that he had seen previously in the system messages but had decided to put off since he wasn't anywhere near being able to purchase one, as well as pvp. "I had actually been planning to buy a subclass soon. Been saving up points and going on various missions to earn more for it. Gotten pretty close too." he stated before faux blushing at Enigma calling him strong.

"Oh Enigma. You don't need to flatter me so much." he said as he glanced away coyly. When he turned back around, his face was back to its trademark grin as the bulges in his shirt moved, crawling along before revealing the 5 spiderlings that he had made earlier.[break][break]

"In the interest of keeping things fair, thought I'd show these little guys to you." Sebastian said as he stroked the head of one of the spiderlings.[break][break]

If there were no further questions, Sebastian would walk back until there were about 5 meters of space between the pair before accepting the PVP request. "Let's have an entertaining match shall we?" would be his last words before the countdown ended and his spiderlings charged toward Enigma, fangs at the ready to deliver a poisonous bite.[break][break]

Sebastian was about to remove his spider legs from the dead body of the lich when it suddenly gripped his throat in a vice; its hand coated in a sickly green aura. "Arrogant meat bag. Know your place," it whispered in a grave tone as it began to drain the vitality from Sebastian.[break][break]

Sebastian jabbed one of his spider legs directly through the lich's eyes before prying its hand off of his throat and leaping away as he sent a mental command for the 5 spiderlings to swarm the lich. "Stupid. I wasn't expecting it to have an attack like that." his mind raced as he crouched on the ground, trying to catch his breath. The lich was busy hacking and slashing away, the spiderlings managing to dodge it, giving Sebastian the time to mentally gather the remaining ones onto the nearby rooftops.[break][break]

Now, explode!" the teen sent the mental command for the spiderlings to each explode into 2-foot-long slicing silk. "What will you do now?" he thought, waiting to see what the Lich would do next. He doubted that this would be enough to defeat it and was proven right as it gripped its flesh again, ripping out another chunk before tossing it into his attack. "Enough!"

Lucky for Sebastian, he managed to grip the edge of the rootop; halting his fall though he was left in a rather precarious position now.[break][break]

Peeking a glance below, Sebastian noted that he was currently dangling over one of the alleyways, this one with a half full dumpster underneath.[break][break]

"Would probably be better to drop down and reposition myself. Practically a sitting duck dangling here like this." the teen spared at thought before movement from above brought his attention back to the enemy at hand.[break][break]

The lich had removed the scythe from its back and was now dropping toward him, ready to chop him in half.[break][break]

"Tch. Not even going to give me a second to recover?" the spider muttered as he quickly created 2 spiderlings and left them clinging to the wall as he released his grip, avoiding being sliced on half and landing with a thump in the dumpster.[break][break]

Not wasting a second, Sebastian rose out of the trash and sprinted out of the alleyway and into the open street, leaving behind 3 more spiderlings as the lich floated a few meters away from him.

The lesser devil could hardly stand up to the combined efforts of Nubia and Sebastian's attacks and was sent flying back severely injured with a slash to its body and 2 stab wounds.[break][break]

"Seems the ambusher became the ambushed," Sebastian joked in the group chat after Enigma killed the imp before turning back to Nubia's message about Hana. "Wtf? We can go AFK?" he asked, getting a bad feeling. He hoped that this was just a case of her having to do something really quickly and not something more sinister.[break][break]

"I saw that we continue, just with more caution. If she ends up timing out then we'll assess things then." the teen responded back as he opened his screen and checked his stats. "I can at least process 4 more level-ups so if worst comes to worst, I can always emergency dump into a stat to power through."[break][break]

Hearing a commotion from down the men's side, Sebastian glanced at the others before retrieving his dagger and silently moving forward, stopping short of the door to the men's side. "Think I figured out where Hana disappeared off to." he sent to the others before continuing, a grin appearing on his face. "Guys feel like doing an ambush?" [break][break]

Peering out, Sebastian saw that it was the engineer's office, as indicated from the map. "Good job." he whispered to the spiderling, patting it on the head before slipping his fingers through the bars and creating 2 more clones which promptly destroyed the vent and allowed him in.[break][break]

Climbing out of the vent, Sebastian made a beeline to the desk and began opened the computer, quickly locating and downloading the files onto the USB provided. While waiting for that, the assassin decided to be a bit nosy and go rifling through the drawers for anything interesting.[break][break]

"You'd think she'd keep something of interests in here" he said to the spiderling perched on the desk. It remained silent, merely staring blankly at its creator.[break][break]

"Sigh. Don't know why I expect much from you guys" the teen sighed before finding what seemed to be some early scamatics for some golems. "Jackpot"

Seeing that the download was finished, Sebastian put both items in his inventory before making his way back through the vents and to the building's roof.[break][break]

"So now all I have to do is find a lone group and bring back some parts and this mission will be done. Easy peasy lemon squeezy." Sebastian cackled gleefully, rubbing his hands together before taking off back the way he came.[break][break]

He had barely ran for 5 minutes when his danger senses went off and he felt an intense heat behind them. Wasting no time, he dodged to the side, avoiding a fireball and turning to face the robed undead that had attacked him.[break][break]

"Don't suppose you can just let me go can you?"

The research facility was like any government building one would find in the middle of a city. Various lights were on in different area with shadows seen walking back and forth. Given that the city had been abandoned for a few months though and it was no surprise why this would be suspicious.[break][break]

"Definitely would prefer avoiding any fights though I might have to since she wanted some samples; not counting my own of course." Sebastian muttered as he observed from an adjacent rooftop.[break][break]

As he had drawn nearer to the facility, Sebastian had elected to travel by rooftop instead of the streets in order to give himself a better vantage point. He was also trying to find a good entrance point but on that front, he was covered.[break][break]

"Guess this is as good a time as any to use this." the assassin sighed before a look of discomfort crossed his face. From both palms rose 2 baseball sized spiders, quickly followed by 2 more. The 4 spiderlings shook themselves off before quickly scuttling down the Cafe rooftop and toward the research center.[break][break]
