The smell of rust and mist was heavy in the air as Sebastian walked through the mist-filled city. From what he had seen from the system messages people had left, Russia was designated as a medium risk with a bunch of undead and machines running around, attacking any humans that wandered into the mist.[break][break]

"It's kind of like that Steven King movie honestly" Sebastian mused as he sulked past another abandoned car. He was forced to move around on foot as apparently in this new video game world, you weren't allowed to drive any vehicles without having purchased a license first.[break][break]

"Of course, even in the middle of a fucking apocalypse, Capitalism still finds a way to survive." the assassin grumbled before a groaning sound alerted him to the fact that he had company.[break][break]

A quick duck behind the car and Sebastian was treated to the view of a group of 3 zombies being led by one in armor, making a beeline directly for his location.

"Oh good, they decided to follow me." Sebastian whispered, grinning to himself as the zombies shuffled slowly after him. He was glad to know that these were the fast-moving zombie types that some modern movies had decided to introduce to the genre otherwise he'd have to adjust his strategy a bit.[break][break]

After ducking into the alleyway, Sebastian used his torn tapestry skill to turn the entrance into a deathtrap. Hidden from what little light shined through the mist, his silk covered as high as 5 feet while stretching back 4 feet into the alleyway. Anything that walked into them would be sliced into ribbons. And should anything actually be durable enough to make it to him, he'd be able to easily take it out from a distance with his other skills.[break][break]

Hearing the sound of groaning, Sebastian ducked deeper into the alleyway before adopting a fearful look on his face as he trembled in fear. "D-D-Don't come in here! Leave me alone!"

His first dagger sliced what little flesh kept the armored zombie's arm attached, sending it and the sword clattering to the alley floor. Before the creature could even register that it had been disarmed, another dagger would stab itself into its neck; destroying its voicebox.[break][break]

"You seem to be on your last leg. Clearly had some form of vitality and defense. Most likely power as well given that you use a sword. Still probably nothing higher than D probably. Possibly C in one of them since you survived my torn tapestry. Ah, it seems you've already died." he murmured, glancing down at the unmoving body. Reaching down, he picked up his daggers and headed off deeper into the mist.[break][break]

Unbenowost to Sebastian, 10 minutes after he left, a robed figure carrying a book in one hand floated down into the alleyway. It inspected the seen before it, not uttering a word before rising back into the sky, disappearing into the mist.[break][break]

Meanwhile, Sebastian was back on track toward the research center indicated by the former lead engineer. There seemed to be no undead in this part of the misty field, much like how he didn't see any robots in his teleport zone. Here, there were groupings of robots moving about in various groupings. The golems came in all shapes ranging from animals to vaguely human-shaped though none seemed to be all that strong.[break][break]

"Given that it only recently came back online, It's no surprise that none of them are strong. Still, better to avoid any fights until after I get the notes." Sebastian thought as he evaded another patrolling round of robots before he arrived at the facility.

When he had first obtained his Spider Queen core, he hadn't quite known what to expect when it evolved. He had originally thought that he'd get some kind of half-spider transformation Ala arachne; and he was ignoring the implications of this earth-chan knowing such an intimate detail but what he got was unexpected.[break][break]

(Flashback)
"I can do what?!" could be heard echoing through the hub. Many players glanced over; some curious, other annoyed, but Sebastian ignored them all as he once again reread his updated core.[break][break]

"What does it mean by giving birth?" the teen muttered. "Guess there's only one way to find out."[break][break]

Activating his ability, Sebastian felt a weird tingling sensation fill his body. It felt like hundreds of ants were crawling under his skin. It was a disturbing feeling, one that he wasn't sure he'd get used to but at least seemed to be able to direct it.[break][break]

Sending the feeling to his hands, Sebastian watched as 2 lumps forming out of his skin. They eventually detached and formed into 2 silver spiderlings. "Interesting." he muttered before sending the pair scuttling off into the hub.[break][break]

"Kya!"[break][break]

"Wtf!"[break][break]

How did a monster get in here!?"[break][break]

It didn't take long for others to notice the new additions to their ranks and freak out. The few competent ones acted and killed one of them before Sebastian activated the detonate ability on the other out of curiosity.[break][break]

"Hmm. So we don't share senses nor does damage transfer. A small silver lining I guess though I'd prefer some way to communicate with them. the teen thought, already having left the area in the confusion. "This warrents more testing."

Coming out of his musings, Sebastian noticed one of his spiderlings signaling over to him. Waiting until the coast was clear, he left across the rootop; rolling with his landing before the spiderling. "Lead the way"

Brief Description The Rottening Lich is a unfished Lich. It still is a threat and a master of the undead but is not as all-powerful as it could be. The flesh is rotting from its bones and a foul smell follows it no matter where it roams. It uses its scythe to [break][break]


[basic] attacks - 1 rank [PWR][break][break]



Flesh Explosion - The Rotting Lich will take 5% of hit [VIT] and use it as fuel to his attack. He'll lob a pile of flesh at the ane enemy. As that flesh lands, it will explode around a 5-meter radius dealing the Lich's [MAGI] in damage. [break][break]

Undead Soliders - He will summon mobs of undead that have all C-rank core stats. He can summon up to three of these for two posts before they fade and require a three-post cooldown.

Life Steal - The Lich will cast a green aura at a target. Once its hit, they will have 10% of their [VIT] be transferred to the Lich for the following three posts. This has a seven post cooldown.

Rotting Flame - He will throw a ball of oozing green flames at a target at his [SPD], upon making impact it deals his [PWR] in damage. It then causes your [DEF] and [VIT] to drop by 5% for the next three posts. Has a three post cooldown after it was cast

Lucky for Sebastian, he managed to grip the edge of the rootop; halting his fall though he was left in a rather precarious position now.[break][break]

Peeking a glance below, Sebastian noted that he was currently dangling over one of the alleyways, this one with a half full dumpster underneath.[break][break]

"Would probably be better to drop down and reposition myself. Practically a sitting duck dangling here like this." the teen spared at thought before movement from above brought his attention back to the enemy at hand.[break][break]

The lich had removed the scythe from its back and was now dropping toward him, ready to chop him in half.[break][break]

"Tch. Not even going to give me a second to recover?" the spider muttered as he quickly created 2 spiderlings and left them clinging to the wall as he released his grip, avoiding being sliced on half and landing with a thump in the dumpster.[break][break]

Not wasting a second, Sebastian rose out of the trash and sprinted out of the alleyway and into the open street, leaving behind 3 more spiderlings as the lich floated a few meters away from him.

Sebastian was about to remove his spider legs from the dead body of the lich when it suddenly gripped his throat in a vice; its hand coated in a sickly green aura. "Arrogant meat bag. Know your place," it whispered in a grave tone as it began to drain the vitality from Sebastian.[break][break]

Sebastian jabbed one of his spider legs directly through the lich's eyes before prying its hand off of his throat and leaping away as he sent a mental command for the 5 spiderlings to swarm the lich. "Stupid. I wasn't expecting it to have an attack like that." his mind raced as he crouched on the ground, trying to catch his breath. The lich was busy hacking and slashing away, the spiderlings managing to dodge it, giving Sebastian the time to mentally gather the remaining ones onto the nearby rooftops.[break][break]

Now, explode!" the teen sent the mental command for the spiderlings to each explode into 2-foot-long slicing silk. "What will you do now?" he thought, waiting to see what the Lich would do next. He doubted that this would be enough to defeat it and was proven right as it gripped its flesh again, ripping out another chunk before tossing it into his attack. "Enough!"
