Emir grasped Nikolas’ hand and pulled him close. Nikolas blushed but only for a moment. He noticed that Emir had a wand at the ready. Made him think he was in his very own Harry Potter movie or something. Who would have thought we’d be running around with wands and swords in today’s age? Not Nikolas. The black sand wrapped around them and Nikolas’ eyes scrunched up trying to pinpoint what was going on. Emir must have sensed and enemy before Nikolas had. Sure enough, a snout of a large wolf popped from some nearby brush.

“What do we do?” he asked in a hushed tone. Before either one of them took action, the blood-pitched howl sent a shiver down Nikolas’ spin. From the brush, five other wolves emerged. Nik tightened his grip on Emir’s arm. He was nervous but with Emir here, they should be okay. Right? Emir took charge and fired a blast of magic from his wand at the bigger wolf. Was he thinking take out the leader and the rest will fall? Might be worth a shot. Nikolas held his hand out and a blast of golden light ripped from the darkness and formed into a spear. It would smash right into the pack leader, the yelp it gave signaled that it hurt the beast but it was clearly still alive. “Damn, I thought that might do the trick.” He said to himself. He gripped Emir tight for a moment and whispered in his ear. “You leave the pack to me, you finish the leader”. He gave Emir a squeeze to let him know that he was ready whenever the shadow man was.

If he could only see his face. Nikolas knew that he was probably redder than a firetruck at this point. Emir was flirting with him and Nik was flirting back! AH! Who was he? Sure, he had his flings back in the day but he was a young twink with an accent in the big city. It wasn’t hard to find somebody that would be interested in spending time with him. This was different though. They were in life-and-death situations daily. Well, he’d been pretty lazy since coming to the Safe Zone. He hadn’t been out there in the wilderness like Emir. Lord knows what kind of scars covered his body these days. If he was a braver man, maybe Nikolas would have taken a peek to see but he just couldn’t. “Don’t count me out. I got more vitality than most men my age.” He said in a not-so-sure tone. His voice also held a bit of a chuckle and nervousness.

When Emir’ lifted him and spoke, Nikolas couldn’t look anywhere else but the man’s face. The small twirl set his heart flutter, so much so he didn’t know if he’d naturally stay lifted in the air from all those butterflies inside. “What are you doing on that island? Lifting boulders?” He teased Emir just as he sat down. As the two walked down the hallway, Nikolas would briefly look over at Emir before shifting his eyes to a weapon that hung on the wall. “I shouldn’t need much. I can use it for free so often but once I go past that it becomes expensive. I’ve got two free uses left though for the time being. I’d be happy to let you use them both. I know you’ll need the equipment.” They approached the woman and the actual anvil. “Okay, let’s do this.” He said while waiting for Emir to hand him all the items.

Nikolas was blushing at Emir’s comments. He couldn’t help himself. Emir was always so playful and sweet. “A ranker? I’m not sure I could be considered that.” He let out a very awkward chuckle. No way was Emir considering Nikolas at a level of those that were thought to be the strongest in the world. He just had some pretty tricky tricks. That was about it. His stats were rather low in comparison to others. He couldn’t help it. He dumped several of his level-ups in the mystery prizes. “I’m sure there are people out there with skills I couldn’t even wrap my head around.”

As Emir began to strip, Nik’s already blushing face became so red that you’d think he had face paint on. He tried to be polite and advert his gaze but he did take a quick look back. “Yea, well let’s get you some good gear then. Umm, I’ve got the Forge summoned back here in the bedroom.” His voice trailed off as he was already walking down the hallway. This was an awkward scene. Emir followed him half-naked down the hallway to his bedroom. Was he actually dreaming? Did he use his Storyboard Wand unknowingly on himself? The metallic touch of the doorknob pulled his senses together long enough to open the door. “Nope, it doesn't seem to tire me at all. The only issue I run into is that it starts to cost some major points if I overuse it." Was Emir flirting with him? That smile made it seem like he was. Should Nikolas say something coy? "I'm sure we can find someway for you to remember me while you're out on your adventures." Oh jeez. That was too far. Nikolas was going to pass out from embarrassment. He quickly trusted the door open and motioned for Emir to enter. "Beauty before age.” He said letting Emir into the Forge first with a wink.

Nikolas’ face shifted into one of sympathy as Dantalion talked about his group. It seemed even the most well equipped among them were having a difficult go about it. It was weird, he was starting to slip into an almost acceptance that he needed to move on with his life. In fact, he already had started. Emir and him kept in contact. Marius and him were in the process of creating a guild, he just needed to figure out some of the more finer details. But that would come with time.

“Ah! Well, maybe I can help you out with that? I’ve got some pieces here you can look at if you like.” He said motioning to the table. There was a small section with pieces of armor type items resting on it. On the tables were the items:

None of the items that Nikolas showed were really worth it. They were all very…pointed items. Not something he suspected a man like the one before him would like. He grasped at the man’s cloak, it was light and almost seemed like there was nothing but shadows on his hands. “I’m not sure I’ve got anything that can really give you too much defense. I think the only thing on my table that might be worth it would be that Red Hot Harness. But, I’m not sure you’d like to replace this cloak with that. “ He said with a chuckle. “Say, do you have any items you think might pair well with this? I’ve got a way to get you something that might help you out a bit.”

He had not been there too long before a familiar face approached him. Nikolas, at the moment, was doodling in his sketchbook. His eyes were mesmerized by the river of colors on his page. They moved with the slightest touch of his pen. The man’s voice broke his trance, prompting him to look up. "Oh, hey! It’s been a minute hasn’t it, Dantalion?" He smiled. Nikolas stood up and reached out his hand to the girl. "How are you, friend?" It had been a few months since the two of them had teamed up in those nasty sewers. It was good to see the man was doing well. His abilities seemed like they were well suited for this new world, even back then.

“Ah, no. I haven’t found them yet. Somebody told me though that not everybody’s tutorial is ran at the same time and some people might be in some limbo state. I’m holding on to my faith that they are just waiting to go through their tutorials rather than the alternative.” His smile faded slightly as the tone of his voice also dropped in cheer. It was unfortunate that he had not been able to find them yet. While he was in Europe, he had hoped they might show back up but up until now that was not the case. “What brings you here? Have you found anybody from your previous life around?” He inquired genuinely intrigued. Dantalion seemed like the type that had some sort of secret past. Being in boot camp to prepare for the end of days was a red flag if there ever was one but it seemed that it ended up working in his favor. Nik only had his luck to rely on.

Nikolas sat at the same table that he had a few day ago. He was due to leave Union Central any day now. He was just waiting for a few more sales to close and he’ll be packing his bags and headed back to Ender’s. It had been too long since he left that mysterious place. Thankfully, Emir had been able to come see him since he left. He knew that Emir headed back to Ender’s. He had some ambition. Nikolas found the island mysterious and cool, but he was also not the type that wanted to be in the middle of a fight all the time. In fact, he had enjoyed staying here in Union. Too bad his subclass encouraged him to be out of Safe Zones.

He sighed. “Hopefully, somebody will come along soon.” Several items sat on the table for sale while a small sign on the side about his special deal also was sitting there. He wan’t trying to promote the offer but if somebody were to ask about it who was he to deny?

rolling pin- A large rolling pin has become a weapon. It is as sturdy as a club and made from a very hard wood. Use it to whack enemies or bake. The rolling pin does -1 rank in damage per post up C rank. 90 Points

inspectifying glass- A fancy looking monocle. You put it on your face and look out from it. You can activate the magic within three times a thread. For one post it reveals the statistical information of a single target that is being looked at. 120 Points
