Nikolas walked down the street of Unison Central. While he had been around the city for some time now, he had not gone shopping like he had wanted to. He was too busy setting up his own shop and making sure Emir was safe. The weather was rather lovely today and Nikolas found a small shop that caught his eye. He meandered inside and saw a small girl there all alone. It seemed that the shop was still new in its inception. Nikolas gave her a soft smile and perused the store. He noticed that she had an offer for being able to pull certain types of items from the mystery boxes. This piqued his interest. "Excuse me, I'd like to buy two of your customer mystery boxes. I've been searching for some interesting grimoire-like items. Is that something you could pull?"

Nikolas appeared in a cluster of pixels adjacent to the warp stone that was near the small camp on Enders. “Wow, looks like more people are showing up.” He stated to himself as he started to walk through the shanty town. He wondered where on the island Emir was if he was even there. Emir could be very well still in that dungeon. Nikolas knew he should have stopped him from going there. At the very least, he could have gone with him to make sure he was okay. He was lost in his own thoughts when he finally realized that people were gathering around an odd-looking stall. Nikolas pushed past a couple of people and saw standing on the other side of the crowd not a man or a woman but a monster. At least, it looked like a monster.

Nikolas eyed him over and saw that it was some kind of merchant. He was standing before a collection of oddities. Having opened his own shop not too long ago, he was envious of this man’s crowd. Not only that, he seemed to have some items that Nikolas wouldn’t have ever guessed existed. Large eggs dotted a shelf behind him and floating cards with small cartoons on them were on another. Upon further inspection, these cards were actually skills! Nikolas looked a bit more when his eye was drawn to an odd looking bottle. When he further inspected he noticed it was actually an item that could boost his luck stat! He instantly grabbed it and brought it to the merchant. “I’ll be buying this. The tag said 750 points? I can transfer that now!”

Emir seemed to have gotten much stronger in the few weeks they were apart. Nikolas couldn’t help but be amazed. What were these abilities he was using? His eyes watched the shadow user utilize two new attacks. Right as they were used, Nikolas received two notifications that both skills were added to his pool of understood abilities. A flash of light and a dagger appeared in his hand. “Jeez Emir, should I be afraid of you.” He snickered at the man just as he threw his dagger at the nearby wolf. While it did not kill the beast, it did cause it a reason to pause.

The Alpha wolf seemed dead set on going after Emir. As it pounced, Emir was as quick as ever. A quick blast of energy from a wand struck the wolf. Nikolas could not let Emir be the only one to fight. He held his hand above his head and within a moment a golden magic circle flickered to life. From the circle tendrils of light raced out and lashed at the wolves, keeping the pack at bay from Emir and Nikolas. While his attack might not have outright killed any of the beasts, the damage was enough for them to stand back and wait for the ability to run its course. Smart beasts. Hopefully, Emir would be able to seize this moment and kill the Alpha once and for all. Once he’s dead, surely the others would turn tail?

Nikolas had been just enjoying the quiet day in his shop. No longer was he some sketchy table on the street. He had saved up his points and bought a decent storefront in an ideal location. He sat on a stool behind the counter, just doodling away in his sketchbook. Today his mind’s eye had shown him a landscape of a field with tall grass and sporadic yellow flowers. If he had to pin the image to a location, he would say maybe the Countryside region up in the UK. He had done some work there early on with Emir but had not returned for a while.

The sound of the door opening perked Nikolas’ ears up. He lifted his gaze and saw a single-standing man. “Welcome! Please, feel free to have a look around. I’m here to answer any questions you might have.” The man gave Nikolas a smile and stated what he was looking for. Nikolas' mind quickly was swept away with thoughts of wanting to help this man. As the boy went on about why he needed the help, Nikolas couldn’t help but feel for him. He could understand why he was so distraught. He gave the boy a smile and motioned for him towards a door to the back room. “Don’t worry, you’ve come to the right place. I haven’t done many of these before, but it seems to turn out pretty alright. Since you're my first customer in my new shop and you seem like you really need a pick me up, I can wave some of the fees. It will still cost 150 points though, are you comfortable with spending that?” He said while walking towards the front door and flipping the open side around. He then went to the doorway that led to the backroom. “Alright, let’s see what we can get you. You’ll just hand over the items to me and I’ll give them to the Forge Master, from there its up to her to make something nice.” He walked through the narrow hallway until he came to a door. He summoned the forge and opened up the door to let Enigma in.

Upon gaining the items from Enigma, Nikolas paused for a moment, the bones in particular seemed rather interesting. He had seen some for sale on Enders. Perhaps this man was an explorer over there. Nikolas would give the items to the Forge master and wait for her steady hand to finish its task.

You are able to pay 200-points, plus a luck-based fee, to gain access to the forge and utilize it. The fee covers the first set of items used in the Forge, all others after that first use will cost 150 points plus luck fee to cover the cost of the Forgemaster.

Nikolas gives the option for him to utilize his sub-class for an additional 50-point fee per use. This utilization will allow you to combine three items instead of the standard two!

Nikolas charges all Forge and Mystery Box customers a 'Luck Fee’. Due to Nikolas' luck, he produces typically higher-quality gear. Each point of luck Nikolas currently will add ten (10) point fee per luck to your final total for the Forge and five (5) point fee per luck for each mystery box purchased.

Additionally, for those brave few, we may flip Nikolas' Coin of Fickled Fate and potentially add +1 luck for the final results! Transmutation Crystal The crystal itself is made of a shimmering, translucent material that seems to glow from within. It is about the size of a fist and has intricate etchings and runes inscribed on its surface. When activated, the crystal emits a bright, pulsating light and a faint humming sound. Three times per thread this crystal allows you to transmute any non-living object into another non-living object of equal or lesser mass. For example, you could transmute a rock into a pile of gold coins or a wooden stick into a sharp blade. It adds no true effectiveness to the item besides giving it a boost of +1 [DEF], this can be used on "flavor items" to create a +1 [DEF] shield in durability for 2 posts.

Nikolas floated slowly through the mist, he was tired. That Banshee and those two wisps really took a toll on him. While he had been able to level up during the encounter, he still had used too many abilities at once. Nothing was still on cooldown and his stamina was starting to return but it had been a lot. As he floated, his eyes were drawn to an old-looking tower on the island beneath him. While ruble was always to be seen, this one was not of the old world like most. No, this seemed like something the System would have made. The biggest giveaway that this was the case was the sheer number or undead that seemed to have swarmed around the tower. Fearful that it might be more than he could chew but still tempted by the thought something rare might be down there, Nikolas opted to do some sleuthing.

As Nikolas floated downward, a cluster of undead started to take notice. Nikolas moved towards the tower, noting that none of the undead seemed to fly. He reached into his inventory and dropped an odd-looking piece of ice. Upon impact with the ground, the ice exploded and caused those undead around to instantly die. “Wow, I wasn’t expecting them to be that weak.” While he may have cleared out a handful there was plenty left and they were moving in towards him. “Well shit.” He had recovered most of his stamina but he didn’t want to overextend before even getting to the tower. Nikolas would then take out a whimsical-looking wand and begin to doodle in his Endless Tome for a moment. Once he was done, the image of several copies of Nikolas would spring from the page and start flying about, mesmerizing the undead. “Perfect.” He said with a smile. He knew undead were not known for their intelligence.

Now, with the dead distracted, Nikolas was able to use his Mangaka Camouflage to dawn an appearance of the Banshee he just killed and floated towards the tower. Once instead, he discovered that no undead seemed to be heavily lurking about. He was able to float aimlessly until he reached the basement and a rather ominous-looking chest. A small status screen appeared and after inspecting it for a moment prompted Nikolas that he did not reach the certain requirement. He scrunched up his nose and started dumping points into leveling up. Once he did that three times, his MAGI rose to the next rank and with it a ding as he now was able to open the chest.

As the mist faded, Nikolas stood now on the ground. The cold mist had started to turn to steam. He was sweating and becoming increasingly exhausted. While he had high stamina for long engagements, he wasn’t planning on constantly firing off everything he had. He didn’t know how much more of this he had in him. If he could get rid of this Wisp, he could use ‘mangaka camouflage’ again and slip away to find somewhere to rest, if only for a moment. “Come on, be dead.” He knew it was wishful thinking. He had not got a status screen alerting him to his successful elimination of the beast.

Two daggers of light flickered once more to live in his palm. The smoke and mist had started to subside and a pale blue light was once again seen. It was waning in its brightness, a sign that the Wisp was close to dying. A volley of two blasts of fire once again raced towards Nikolas, only to be slammed once again into his shield of light. He instantly returned fire, throwing both daggers of light at the creature. As they landed, the screen he was waiting for arrived. “Thank god” he said collapsing to the ground and letting how a sigh of relief. He didn’t know how many more volleys he had in him. One thing was clear, he needed to get his stats up. If it wasn’t for his items, Nikolas would have been screwed. His MAGI stat in particular seemed to be lacking. It would be in his best interests for these next few levels to be devoted solely to that stat. After a moment had passed, Nikolas opened up his inventory to see what the monsters dropped, if anything.

As he kept moving his arm, lashing out at the two ethereal flames, his hand summoned two more daggers of light. He threw them both at the injured Wisp and watched the blue flames fade into the mist. One down, one to go. The Wisp let out a blast of fire and met with Nikolas’ shield of light. The cool blue flames subsided and as they did, a golden blade of light sliced right through the creature. While it was not dead, it was about to be completely overwhelmed. Nikolas was starting to run out of steam, he needed to make sure that whatever he did next would end this sucker’s life and find himself some shelter. “Okay, let’s see if you can handle this.” His shoes of light pushed him forward through the mist, bringing the fight directly toward the Wisp. The whip of fire, now solely focused on the single Wisp, was relentless in its assault.

As the Wisp launched its second ball of fire, Nikolas was able to activate his new skill. The ability started to rip away and fade as Nikolas boosted his own [MAGI] to beat that of the incoming enemy. As the fire was ripped away into Nikolas’ own palm, a small glass orb appeared. Within the orb was that fire itself. Nikolas smirked as the orb floated in his free hand. “Weren’t expecting that, huh?” He said as the orb when right to the Wisp and exploded dealing B-rank damage to the monster, Nikolas already using his shoe’s last bit of power had repositioned himself several meters away. The fire from his wrist fading away as he waited for the smoke and mist to clear to show what was left.

Description:
While in the region of Gothica, a young woman who has a divine mission requests your aid. She needs a manuscript found within a warped library. Injured, she has created a small Safe Zone across the street, keeping the monsters at bay. Within thought, we’re creatures too fast and plentiful for her to beat on her own. She’s asking that you retrieve that book while she rests and keeps the library contained in a barrier so nothing can come and go without her permission. If you are successful in retrieving the book, you’ll be greatly rewarded.
Inside the library, you’ll find it is a maze of sorts. You’ll randomly be attacked by flying hexed books with teeth. You need to roll 4d20 per party member to see the level of these books spawn. You will have to roll a d3 in Discord in order to find the correct manuscript that she was looking for. You will need a 3 to find it, landing a 1 or 2 requires you to fight a warlock creature specialized in illusions and other non-traditional magic. The level of these creatures is your party’s equal level divided by 3. Once the warlock is killed, you can roll the d3 again. Rolling a 1 or 2 more than three times will require you to fight a warlock that’s level is equal to your party’s highest level +10. Once retrieved you can return this to the npc girl and gain a reward!

Victory did not last long for Nikolas. From the mists, pale blue lights appeared. “What now?” he muttered under his breath. The two dagger quickly flickered to life in his right hand. Before he could react, a blast of two blue balls of fire were right on top of him. Nikolas took the damage right to his face causing him to fall to the ground. Thankfully, he had high heath and had not suffered much from the banshee, this did cause a bit of an issue though. He flipped his Soul Judge dagger and stabbed himself in the leg. The healing light restored what little damage was done. Just as he was standing back up another volley appeared. This time, he was ready.

Activating his shoes, Nikolas dashed to the side narrowly avoiding the blast. The two pale lights in the mist mist have been the culprits. He tossed his light dagger to the nearest one while in his other hand a flame roared to life. It cooked around Nikolas’ wrist and extended outward, becoming a whip of flames. He lashed the whip around at the ghostly specters. Fight fire with fire”! the whip slammed into the wisps. Nikolas waited for their response. One had taken decent damage. The other was still roaring with its undead life. Maybe it’s time to try a new trick.” Nikolas had to wait though, it would take a second before he could pump out that kinda power again. It would be best to widely one away and then the other.

Description:
Near where the Countryside ends and Gothica begins is a small human settlement that houses nearly a thousand people. While the average level is rather low for being near such an ominous location, the town has stayed relatively safe due to some of the member's classes. Lately, something strange has been happening. Livestock near the town has been found drained of blood and missing chunks of flesh. This could have been dismissed as simply a monster attack but now several children have been found with their bodies void of blood and their organs. Other citizens have also gone completely missing overnight. People fear that the citizens of Gothica have finally taken notice of their settlement and have started to raid it for meals. They have posted for aid on the community board. Emir and Nikolas having a history with Gothica felt compelled to oblige the request themselves. The pair will need to go to the town and look for clues. They will have to take on a group of freshly converted Vampires that are some of the missing towns folk. They will need to roll six d15s in Discord and multiply those results by 2 to get their enemy's levels. Once these vampires are slain, they'll find a clue for the next mission in this chain!

While Nikolas was confident in his abilities to a degree, he couldn’t help but feel slightly nervous entering the maze. The pair were attempting ‘Hard Mode’ something that made him wish Emir was here. Between the two of them, Nikolas would have to play the role of tank and supporter. Thankfully, since he had leveled up he had gained a few new abilities that would surely aid them down here. “Ah, I guess being a Fragment is just for show then.” He said with a humorous tone. Nikolas gripped his tome tightly. He had prepared his two most used copied abilities Perception Glyph and Desert Night. One to aid in combat, the other to flee if things got too wild and crazy.

“Let’s hope we can turn a profit down here. I’m sure that key wasn’t cheap.” He eyes the item that Ollie held. Nikolas was lucky but Ollie was something completely else. From what he gathered, his class really aided in his acquisition of items and points. Nikolas’ new sub-class aided in some item gathering but it was nothing like Ollie’s. “I’ve got a few provisions. I was able to level up a bit before coming in here so I’ve got a few new abilities to showcase and some new items I’m sure you’ll be interested in seeing.” He gripped his blade with that comment.

“Your eyes will definitely play a major role in this dungeon, my friend.” He said as he walked forward to place himself a step ahead of Ollie. “But, let’s not get too cocky. We don’t know what we might find down here.” He held out his hand and light from his robe started to form a small sphere. It would float over the two men and act as a torch of sorts. “Let’s go at a slow pace until we get a better lay of the land. I’ll leave it to your judgment on where we go in the maze. You leave the combat to me. I’ll make sure you or Dendar aren’t injured.” With that comment, a dagger of light flickered into existence in his right hand. While there were no enemies present at the moment, that didn’t mean they might not be hiding behind the next corner.

Before they walked any further, Nikolas received a DM. It seemed urgent that he needed to get back to Unison Central. "Ollie, hey let's hold up for a bit on this expedition. I've got to run back to UC. Seems like something is going on with my shop. I'll dm you when things settle.

[attr="class","nik2reescroll"] As the banshee tried to muster the strength to continue, Nikolas’ light whips wrapped themselves around her frail body and pulled them taut. It was not like him to be cruel but he needed her to be still for a moment. As the ropes held her, several others twisted around her neck and spine, coiling around her body like a dozen snakes. Each moment their grip tightened. Thanks to his boosted MAGI, he was able to hold her at bay. For a moment he floated there watching her twist and try to wiggle free. He frowned as two daggers of light appeared in his right hand. One was his Soul Judge the other his basic light ability morphed into a dagger. He threw both at once and watched as they landed in her face. For a moment she was silent but then a shriek echoed throughout the whole island. As she faded away a small chat window appeared before him. [break][break] YOU HAVE SLAIN THE [ISLE HOMER'S BANSHEE] [break][break] He let out a sigh as he floated back to the ground. His abilities slipped into their cooldown stats. He had used quite a bit of power to kill that thing but he was still okay.
