Hikari smiled at Hana's comment, before nodding in acknowledgement. "You are more than likely right, Miss Hana. Perhaps in my next few level ups." It was already on her mind, and she knew she needed to increase her defensive stats more. She was a glass cannon, as she had been referred to previously, and while she has defensive capabilities, she needed more.

A treasure map? "Oh, perhaps that map would prove useful indeed!" It was, at least, very interesting to see it in action. She had not seen anything like it prior, and she was curious to see what they might be able to get from this treasure map. Treasures, after all, were quite thematic to this place...well, prior to all the snow at least.

Looking around, Dee Dee's guild certainly was a place of...mystery. Especially with these new beings that now seem to populate the area. What were they? Waddle-Doo? She was glad, though, that the beings seem to really like Dee Dee, and treat her as one of their own. She smiled as they passed her, "These little folks sure look very cute. I'll make sure to protect them while picking up the presents."

Hikari turned to the presents now, and picked one up. It wasn't too heavy, though it certainly was hefty. She placed one into her inventory, before moving towards the next one. As she picked this one up, she spotted a little fella grinning at her mischievously. It was...an elf? Its grin widened when it saw Hikari spot it, before taking out a knife and slashing at one of the presents. Hikari narrowed her eyes, before sending Shotsuren forward, catching the elf by surprise and running it through. "Heads up, we seem to have company, and they like to destroy the presents." She looked towards her companions, before turning her attention back towards her line of sight. If there was one, there was bound to be others.

The Mountain's Heart Dungeon Part Two: Inner Maze

As Dee Dee made her moves with her summons, Hikari prepared herself. It seems that this was to be a sword-fighting competition between herself and the dungeon's boss. She felt her fingers tingle in anticipation. In addition, she felt the buffs that Dee Dee seemingly placed on her. Dee Dee seems to be taking the role of a support this time around.

The swordsman flexed its fingers, gripping its sword tightly, before staring at them. And then, it rushed forward.

It was fast. Very fast. Hikari realized she needed to be fast, and quickly engaged her ability: Jyaki-buyo. She felt the rhythm of a soft beat as her held her fan. She felt the boost to her speed, before she rushed to meet the swordsman, with both Murakumo and Habakiri now unsheathed and in her hands.

It was good that Dee Dee's summon placed ice on the floor. Hikari bounded around the walls instead, using it as though she was doing parkour, while the swordsman slipped somewhat on the slippery floor, rendering it more clumsy that it would have been. The arm that was about to grab her was dodged with her now ever higher speed. She got into the physical space of the towering swordsman, before she struck.

It was Murakumo, her trusty sword, which struck first. She sliced a chunk out of the swordsman as she continued moving, using her momentum to flip herself around, finding purchase with Habakiri and Daitsuren. After the second attack from her sword, Kenmyoren unsheathed itself, and Hikari flicked her hand as it shot forward, being slightly parried by the swordsman, but also finding purchase.

The swordsman looked battered, but it wasn't done. It lifted its sword and was sending an overhead slash towards Hikari. The woman didn't have enough time to dodge this time, and so did the next best thing. Raising her hand, she conjured up a shield: Absolute Terror. The problem was that she was now pinned under the sword of the swordsman, it putting pressure on her shield. She cannot move, maintaining the barrier in front of her. "Dee Dee, opening!" She yelled, hoping that the woman would attack while she had the swordsman distracted. The weight of its sword was almost unbearable, but her shield held. For now.

Hikari watched as the figure in the middle unfolded themself. It looked to be a swordsman, someone to match Hikari's abilities against. She felt a small amount of fear creep into her. Instead of succumbing, however, she squashed it down. Instead, adrenaline filled her system. She was, first time in a very long time, excited.

"Dee Dee, I'm going to hang back to see this swordsman's abilities." She announced, sheathing Murakumo and Habakiri, before letting Shotsuren and Daitsuren forward. Daitsuren had unsheathed after fighting against the flying plates. Both swords leveled themselves forward, before Hikari waved her fan, letting both swords loose as they shot towards the swordsman.

The swordsman responded in kind, looking as though it was parrying her blade, but instead letting it glance over before stabbing at the statue. Hikari got two hits in, but that didn't mean the statue was down. Instead, it turned towards their direction, and lifted its sword before slashing forward.

Hikari watched as the attack came at her. She watched as it barrelled towards her. And then, last minute, she side-stepped, dodging the attack. It was fast, but not fast enough. Not now with her having invested so much into her speed. She looked towards the swordsman, watching as Dee Dee made her move, before deciding on her next steps.

Hikari smiled at Hana and waved at Suiu. Seeing Suiu reminded her that Kairi had wanted to be called out when she had arrived at the beach. And so, she raised her hand, and the Angelic Serpent manifested, coiling herself around Hikari and draping herself on Hikari's should, as though a fur shawl.

"Dee Dee said she would- Ah, there she is." She smiled at the approaching Dee Dee, and gave her a small bow. "I'm glad you're not busy, Dee Dee. I thought it would be great to work together. I was surprised to see all of this." Hikari gestured around, more specifically the presents falling softly onto the snow-filled ground. "It seems Utopia has a lot on their hands this month."

Looking towards Hana, she would pet Kairi's head before responding to both hers and Dee Dee's question. "Ah, it seems I acquired new items that make me seem that way. Though I can assure you that I am still the same person. Or else Kairi might not like me as much." She chuckled, letting Kairi nuzzle her head on her cheek, before looking ahead. "Though it seems animals like me more now." Looking at the parrots and waving forwards, commanded them to fly towards her and land on her outstretched arm. The parrots then bowed to her, before flying away.

"Perhaps we should get started? Though it seems we have to be wary of certain Christmas-themed mobs..." Hikari looked around a moment, before making her way forward. "I hope you'll be okay in that dress, Hana? It seems a tad bit colder than anyone expected here." She, herself, felt the chill, but otherwise was fine. At least for now.

Hikari watched as Hana took control of the situation. She had even stopped the large three-headed dog from using one of its abilities again. Quickly, she took advantage of what had happened and launched herself forward.

With her swords in both hands, she made quick work of the right head. using her superior speed, she weaved through the bites that were aimed at her, narrowly dodging and receiving a small scratch as she used the momentum to jump upwards! It gave her the necessary vantage point she needed to do the next part.

With Murakumo in hand, she lashed out in a flurry. She aimed for the mechanical joint which seemed to keep the heads attached to the body. The pseudo-neck of the creature. She hacked at it in quick succession, causing sparks to fly as she landed on top of the head of the large dog.

"Two more." With a flick of her hand, Daitsuren shoved itself into the joint as well. And with a last snap of her finger, Kenmyoren unsheathed itself and slammed into the mechanical joint, completely severing the right head.

She jumped up once more, narrowly dodging the bite sent by the middle head, before twisting herself to land just behind Hana. "One head down." Just as she announced it, however, electrical pulses started to shoot through its body, stunning it into silence. It was still standing, but unmoving, as though paused. [break][break]
"Kurai, an opening." She spoke up, her swords already ready to shove themselves into the beast. However, a shooting pain dominated her senses for a moment when she realized that she had been scratched by one of the dog's numerous fangs. It was slightly bleeding, which marred her dress.

Hikari was not glad to hear that the scum of the earth were still around. Really, who would fall for that kind of desperate scheme anyway? An item? If anything, women in this new world were more empowered now. Gone were the times where men had all the power. Now, women had power too, alongside men. Some of the strongest people she had met along her journey had been women. Hana was one of them, and so was Dee Dee.

"A swift kick in the nuts would do him good." Hikari nodded, smiling as she listened to Ravenna's response to the man. "Though I've never really understood your fascination with men." She would shrug, taking a small sip of her drink. "Men have been soured in my opinion." Just the thought of her father and how he treated women made her blood boil. No, she would rather be on her own. Forging her path and making something of herself.

She smiled at Ravenna's last comment. "I'm glad you think highly of me." Taking a sip of her drink, she continued, "And you'll always have me. Just say the word, and I'll be there. As long as it's not a blind date." For once, she grinned. "But if you do, perhaps you'd find a good-looking woman?" It was a joke, of course. A jest. Hikari had never once felt any attraction with anybody. Sometimes she told herself: one day. That day has not come, however.

Looking around, she realized Ravenna had become the centre of attention for most of the men in this bar. That was no surprise. The men were trying to be subtle, to no avail. At least not to a woman's eye. "It looks like you've caught the attention of several patrons." She smirked at Ravenna, wondering what her friend would do.

Hikari watched in horror as Dee Dee was hit by the door. "Oh! Dee Dee, are you alright?" Before she could respond, the tiny woman had gone through the other door and had been hit once more. She had unsheathed her sword quickly, before realizing that breaking a door unnecessarily might just trigger something that they didn't want to deal with. Instead, she chose to trust Dee Dee when she said that she was alright.

When Dee Dee finally decided on the route, or perhaps the route decided for Dee Dee, she would ask, "I guess your skill only works if you're already in the route?" It was possible, given that the voice she had heard prior did not say anything at all. "These traps are getting out of hand..." She continued her thought, before going through the hallway.

It seems that...there was a whole lot of nothing through the space. She had been ready for a trap, but nothing came. Instead the path winded through the area, and Hikari noted that the hallway was getting larger and larger with each passing moment. Until...

They came upon a large room. Larger than the previous maze's own. There was a huge set of doors at the very end. But before they laid a structure. "This must be the boss room. Probably why we didn't find traps leading here." The fight was to be fair, after all. "When you're ready, we can engage." She gave Dee Dee a nod.

Hikari dodged and weaved, while cutting the plates that were undodgable. She had been having fun, by all accounts. Her swordsmanship abilities were getting tested and proven. Murakumo sliced through the plates cleanly, while Habakiri shattered them into a million pieces.

Just then, a shield appeared in front of her, before the mechanism at the end blew up! She glanced towards Dee Dee, before nodding. "Thank you. I was just about to sprint forward to destroy it, but your method was certainly much easier!" She bowed towards the little lady, before continuing, "And yes, it seems they were much craftier this time. Trying to catch people off-guard after the first maze."

Hikari apologized to Dee Dee as she made her move. "I apologize for the basins, by the way. I will be more mindful in the future." She bowed towards Dee Dee, before keeping herself back as she let the woman do what she was going to do. It seems that Dee Dee had something better up her sleeves.

When the British voice started shouting, Hikari turned her attention towards the surroundings. But then with Dee Dee seemingly following the advice, she realized quickly that it was coming from her. She took it in stride, and let the woman do her things. It was easier than trying to find the natural airflow.

"That's a pretty nifty skill you got there, Dee Dee." She gave the small woman a nod as they started their way forward. As they continued down their path, Hikari noticed something shiny at the very end of the tunnel. Squinting her eyes, she held her sword aloft before realizing what it was.

She sliced the first projectile, and said, "Dodge." They were...porcelain plates. Plates that were being shot towards them by some mechanism. High, low, and everywhere in between, the plates kept coming as Hikari advanced, slicing the ones that were headed towards her indiscriminately. "What is this? First wash basins, and now plates?"

Hikari smiled at Suiu. "Your partner is truly shy." Kairi, for her part, wrapped herself around Hikari as her response. The woman let her hand fall on top of her summon's head, petting her as she continued, "Perhaps one day she'll come out of her shell." That was always possible, of course. Summons grow, after all.

She listened to her guild master's words, before nodding to herself. There were still certain things that needed to be done for the guild to continue to grow. One of them, she knew, was taking on harder missions. Hikari was always up for that task, and gladly volunteered herself to do so. She hoped that her contributions were at least somewhat helpful.

Following them around, Hikari found herself daydreaming about her manor. She wanted to redesign the place somewhat, perhaps with Hana's input. It was to be made as a safe haven, one that Hikari herself would protect.

"And if you need anything, please don't hesitate to task, Miss Sylvia." Hikari turned to the woman and smiled. "I'm always glad to help whenever I can." Turning to Hana, she continued, "I shall take my leave. I'm sure Miss Sylvia will want to settle in. I'm hoping to do some...hunting." Missions, that is. There was no rest for the wicked, after all.

As Hikari turned her attention forward, she realized just how different this maze was compared to the other one. The wider halls made it more intimidating. The smoother walls were not hiding the fact that this place was not one made by natured, but carved artificially. It was made specifically for something. What that thing was, she wasn't sure yet. It wasn't just to have a "dungeon" for people to venture into, right? Was it keeping something sinister inside?

She was stunned by the sound of Dee Dee hitting a trap, and immediately lifted up her sword for...nothing to happen. She looked towards Dee Dee as she investigated the trap itself, before nodding at her response. "It seems we're lucky in that regard, hm? It was good it wasn't me." Hikari shook her head, facing forward though not sheathing her sword. She was more on edge now.

So much so that when Dee Dee tripped something else, Hikari immediately used her speed to do an overhead block, and then slicing through whatever was falling onto them. Looking around, she realized that they were..."Wash basins?" That was odd. "Is Earth-chan messing with us?" A possibility, to be sure.

Before long, they reached another junction. There were three options, though Hikari knew only one was correct. She tried her method but to no avail. Instead, she consulted Dee Dee. "My method isn't getting anything. The air circulation isn't as good here, which means I cannot find the right path." Having Kairi wrap around her neck as though a fur shawl, she continued, "What do you think?" She looked back towards the three doors, wondering if Dee Dee had a way to figure out their next step.
