Hikari turned her attention back to the guild's current base as she stepped through the portal. It still looked the same as usual, and she was quite happy that it did. Neo-Tokyo was still considered one of the most dangerous places in the world, and therefore anything can happen to their little safe haven. She was just glad that Earth-chan had not turned its attention to them.

Looking at Sylvia, she smiled. "Welcome to ANTHEM's home base. At least, this is our current one." She knew that they were on the verge of retaking her old ancestral home to become a base of sorts. Perhaps once that is completed, Hikari and Sylvia might relocate themselves there. It would be nice to live in her father's room for a change, especially since she knew it would piss him off if he were still alive.

Looking back at the building, she saw the very person she had been hoping to see. "Ah, Hana." She waved to the woman, before bringing up Sylvia with her slowly. "Sylvia, that is Hana, our guild leader. I'm sure she'd be more than happy to set you up with us. And you as well." She ended that with a small nod to Sylvia's summon catgirl maid.

Sylvia and Sakura stepped through the portal and came face to face with the apartment building somewhere across the world of where Hikari and the two of them had once met at. The blonde quietly took in her surroundings in intrigue and hesitation. The furthest amount of distance she had moved from the manor back in France had been to the small countryside town a short distance away to buy groceries at the market or for some other mundane reason. So to say that she was a bit spooked from the sudden jump to a modern cityscape was quite the understatement.

Hikari could see Sylvia lost in her curiosity around them, enough to completely miss her introduction into the building.

“You'd think Neo Tokyo wouldn't be that exciting, nya~” Sakura commented and then looked towards Hikari, her tail swaying left and right. The current apartment for the guild housing was pretty surprising. Sakura had been expecting something more...well, official. A house, an old rundown warehouse, even some weird ass dog out nobody would ever check.

But an apartment building? That was a first.

Sylvia came back from her little exploration in place, having smiled weakly at Hikari. It was all so new and distracting that she didn't have time to register every new thing.

“Désolée, Madame Hikari. I've never been in a city as busy as this. It will take a while to get used to is all...”
“Heh, you never venture into the city much, do you, Master?”
“N-Not very much, no. I usually tended to stay at the manor being the Head Maid. I was too busy to really leave.”
“Oh...”
“In more important matters, thank you for taking us here, Madame Hikari. It's quite a lovely base.”

Sakura's confusion and smugness showed a bit more apprehension at complimenting the home than her master's, but Sylvia would be happy for any kind of roof over their heads. There was a woman standing near the exterior of the building that Hikari introduced as the guild leader of ANTHEM, a smaller woman with similar blonde hair to Sylvia's. The two maids, dressed to the nines in the uniform and full regalia, would would give a bow to the guild leader.

“Bonjour, Madame Hana.” Sylvia spoke, her tone hushed and whisper-like in volume. She tended to look away every now and again when eye contact was made, but returned it back after a moment. “I am Sylvia. It's an honor to meet you. Madame Hikari has told me a bit of ANTHEM and you already.”
“And I'm Sakura! Nice to meet you, nya~” The cat maid greeted the leader, appearing much more bubbly and restless than her master gave the impression of.

Both stood perfectly in unison before the guild leader, two maids happily awaiting Hana's greeting.

Hana stopped at the bottom of the stairs, having just descended from her upper floor apartment. The teen looked over, smiling and waving, before jogging closer. She was dressed for the activity, stretchy exercise gear with a baggy hoodie on top. "Oh, hey! Two new recruits?" Surprised, but in a pleasant way. "We've definitely still got room here!"

The musician returned the proper bow. "Uh, I feel underdressed for this, though..." Hana couldn't help but blush, looking between the maids and her always regal Guild member. "Nice to meet you both! Mmm, did you recruit them to help with your, uh, manor?" After the encounter they'd had there when claiming it, more than a few repairs were required. Nothing some mission grinding for points wouldn't fix, though.

"For now, I can get you rooms assigned as soon as we make things official." Hana summoned one of the floating system screens, beginning to poke through options. "So, what classes did you get?" She had a feeling they weren't combat focused, most likely. Although at the moment the pressing issue was why she couldn't seem to send both of the girls in front of her a Guild invite. One did pop up in front of Sylvia, at least.

Hikari smiled at Sylvia and Sakura, before offering them a response. "Neo-Tokyo is even busier now than it once was. And the lights...well, it wasn't neon prior, I promise you that." She looked towards the city and its gleam. It was both enticing and dangerous at the same time. A trap for any unsuspecting wanderer who thought they were safe there. There was a reason that even Hikari kept herself in this guild space. There was a chance that a monster she could not handle might spawn on top of her. It was just what Earth-chan would do to her unsuspecting victims.

She turned to Hana, and chuckled softly, "Well, once we've fully recovered the place, I'm sure that Miss Sylvia and Sakura would feel more at home there with me." The manor was almost ready, perhaps a few more repairs, and cleaning up the place would make it habitable once more. And, of course, making sure that there were no more enemies within and around the vicinity to worry about.

The woman watched in careful anticipation as Sylvia had not mentioned that Sakura was her summon. In fact, she wanted to see how Sylvia would react to being recruited. Hopefully, the woman would say yes. It would be nice to add a new face to their guild, continue to build and grow their numbers, and eventually retake Neo-Tokyo as their own. Hikari was ready to carve out a piece of her most beloved and most despised city for her own. And can anyone blame her?

Sylvia giggled at Hana's little remark about feeling underdressed, being dressed in more plain clothing. If anything, they were the ones dressed like something that was torn right out of a book dressed about the 1800s. The blonde nodded her head along with the guild leader's question to Hikari. “Oui. We've spoken a bit about the manor. Because of my experience, I thought it only right that I come to offer my assistance with restoring the manor.”

“That's right! Us maids have a knack for making any manor feel like the best home you could ask for, nya~”
“Th-That as well. We lack appropriate housing of any kind. So a restored manor would help us both.”

Things appeared to be hitting off pretty well. Hikari could even vouch for them given the circumstances. Sylvia was just happy to be able to help somebody with her newfound class of sorts. The window popped up in front of Sylvia about joining ANTHEM while Sakura's airspace remained empty. That when she recalled a critical piece of information.

It had just dawned on her that she thought Sakura was another player entirely. A common misconception due to her class. The woman pursed her lips in thought of how to explain it before speaking.

“Apologies, M-Madame Hana, I should have said so beforehand, but my class is actually called...Cat Herder.”

Sylvia stepped forward, flicking up her phone and displaying it for Hana to see. It had her information, alongside some other miscellaneous details. Most importantly, it listed Sakura as a summon inside of the roster, along with space for more.

“Sakura isn't actually a player like me. Instead, she is a summon. One that is permanently out of the field.”
“Pretty cool, huh? Master's kind of like the cheerleader! Pretty soon we'll have a bunch of us together!”
“Regrettably, I cannot assist with combat directly, but I can assist in other ways.”

Her attention went back to the window in front of her as the maid's finger slowly hovered over both the options to accept or reject the invite. Her index finger pressed the accept button as the input was registered in the system, offering a meek smile at the two in front of her.

The teen blinked at the explanation. "...oh, and she's the cat? That's cute." Hana looked over the information on the phone screen as it was pointed at her. Most newbies were more comfortable accessing the system through their phone, especially if she hadn't been in much combat yet. "I just got a, uh, summon too!"

Hana gestured with one hand...obviously expecting something, by the way she paused afterwards. "...she's shy." Another motion, more insistent this time, and a figure appeared behind her in a burst of liquid, like a giant water balloon popping. "Stop hiding and say hello, Suiu!" With just her horns and eyes peeking above Hana's shoulder, the elemental waved to the new arrivals. She seemed less concerned about Hikari, at least.

"Well, it's official now! I can still give you both an apartment, if you want. Suiu just disappears on me." After pondering it for a moment. "...if you're going to recruit more maids, we should probably let you have full control of the, like, uh...servants' wing of the manor? You have one of those, I bet." Hana looked to Hikari for confirmation.

Hikari nodded in response, already planning what she would do to the manour. "I'm hoping to turn it into a proper home and base. But, that's after we get it fixed up, of course." It was an uphill battle, that one. "I wanted to provide an environment where Sylvia and her cat summons might feel more familiar with. I'm sure they're as excited as me to see the place." And have it redone. She wasn't going to keep the things her father had laid hands on, or had a hand in designing. It was her last revenge.

Her attention was quickly turned to Hana's summon. Just as Hana had mentioned, the creature was shy at first. The complexity of these being always astounded Hikari. Even Kairi, who was often so cuddly and attached to her, was ferocious when faced with challenges. Specifically when those challenges involved creatures that threatened Hikari.

"Hello Suiu." Hikari waved, before letting Kairi manifest. The Angelic Serpent coiled around her body, before leaning forward as though to say hi to Suiu. "Yes, we do have a servant's wing, which should make housing Sylvia and her fellow summons very easy." She turned to Hana and nodded. "I'm glad we found another person to join us. Hopefully we get to do something about this...soon." She waved her hand around Neo-Tokyo, before smiling. She knew it was her guild master's goal, and just as Hana has helped her, she would help the woman in kind with her goals.

“That's me, nya!~”

Sakura purred at the recognition that Hana had given her. It was honestly so hard being a lone cat around here, especially when your master was the kind to keep to themselves. Her cooking and skills in petting her remained unrivaled though, so at least there was that! She beamed at the guild leader while Sylvia's information updated to include that she was a part of the guild now. But all of their attention was drawn to Hana's summon behind her.

At first, nothing appeared. Nothing but the air around them all, but after some encouragement from the other bespectacled blonde, it would show itself to the other players. The creature was rather strange, made entirely out of water and possessing horns and lovely eyes. Sylvia leaned forward in interest, observing the timid little summon and offering a wave of her own. Sakura did the same, her ears flicking themselves at the new summon.

“It's nice to meet you, Madame Suiu.”
“Hiya, nya~”

Onto more official business, Hana offered to show the both of them to an apartment, a welcome respite after the day that Sylvia had just had. “If it isn't too much to ask for, Madame Hana. It will be nice to sleep on a bed again.” Sakura even backed her up on this little judgement, stretching all around as she would nod in agreement. “I'll say. It beats sleeping on park benches all the time.” Sylvia did turn to Hikari, but her words and Hana's question about the servant wing did raise some more questions that she grew curious about.

“A-Actually, I wished to ask the both of you. I know the manor is a bit along in our goals, but how may we assist with the guild matters in the present? Is there something that we need help with now? I wish to help however I am able.”
“Preferably after dinner, nya~” Sakura added.

The watery being returned the wave to Hikari, after greeting their two new arrivals. When the dragon appeared, though, Suiu abruptly vanished with another wet pop. A tiny blue ball of light spun around Hana, before digging itself into the hood of her jacket to hide. The musician just shook her head.

"We've expanded a bunch, and recruited everyone we could. We're almost finished with the Guild Challenge we were assigned...I bet that'll make a big difference!" Hana shook a fist in excitement. Before remembering what they were doing. "Right! I can show you around."

Turning back towards the apartment complex, Hana began to lead the way. She resummoned the floating screen and returned to poking at it. "Your badge should be in your inventory now. And I'll grab the keys from the office!" The teen glanced at them, pointing towards the stairs she'd used earlier, before ducking inside a ground floor door.

After a few moments she returned, keys in one hand and a plastic grocery bag in the other. She held the bag out towards the pair of maids, unsure which one would grab it. "There's some snacks to get you started. If you want to help out, besides just doing missions and leveling up, we've still got some empty rooms. The keys are in the office there, so if you want to poke around inside and try to get them set up for new arrivals, and keep them tidy, that'd be a big help!"

Heading up the stairs, she pointed to a pair of doors before holding out two keys. "Take your pick. They've got the basics, but there's more supplies in the office, or in the Guild bank. Feel free to grab whatever to get comfortable!" Hikari had seen Hana's apartment before, complete with a rather large, expensive TV, and stacks of Hikari Utano CDs.

Hikari smiled at Suiu. "Your partner is truly shy." Kairi, for her part, wrapped herself around Hikari as her response. The woman let her hand fall on top of her summon's head, petting her as she continued, "Perhaps one day she'll come out of her shell." That was always possible, of course. Summons grow, after all.

She listened to her guild master's words, before nodding to herself. There were still certain things that needed to be done for the guild to continue to grow. One of them, she knew, was taking on harder missions. Hikari was always up for that task, and gladly volunteered herself to do so. She hoped that her contributions were at least somewhat helpful.

Following them around, Hikari found herself daydreaming about her manor. She wanted to redesign the place somewhat, perhaps with Hana's input. It was to be made as a safe haven, one that Hikari herself would protect.

"And if you need anything, please don't hesitate to task, Miss Sylvia." Hikari turned to the woman and smiled. "I'm always glad to help whenever I can." Turning to Hana, she continued, "I shall take my leave. I'm sure Miss Sylvia will want to settle in. I'm hoping to do some...hunting." Missions, that is. There was no rest for the wicked, after all.

Suiu was ever the shy little summon. Sylvia wondered if Sakura could ever manage a conversation with her, being the same class of unit as her, but decided not to ask. The dragon that Hikari had possessed had spooked the water elemental away and left Hana by herself. Sylvia frowned at the sight of this, but would respect their wishes to remain hidden.

Hana made the final preparations of welcoming both into the guild, grabbing their badges while Sylvia would check her inventory to check if the command had gone through. It had and Sylvia smiled when Hana returned from the front officer with a bag of supplies. Sakura was quick to take the bag and make a note of the many rooms that were in need of tidying up for future members. Both maids perked up at the mention of such a thing, with the blonde aiming for another timid smile.

"We would be happy to assist you in cleaning up the unused rooms, Madame Hana."

Sakura nodded her head along, antsy to sink her nonexistent claws onto a feather duster and start blowing away dust before they had been both lead upstairs and to their separate rooms. Sylvia accepted the key as did Sakura and seemed pleased enough to get some privacy, quickly dipping into Sylvia's room and inspecting around to see what each room would have. Sylvia, meanwhile, continued to conversate with the other two.

“Do we get cable, nya?~ I wanna watch my shows!”
"Regardless, Madame Hana, thank you again. We promise to serve the guild as best we can. Isn't that right, Sakura?"
The catgirl grumbled something in the other room while not paying too much attention.
"Isn't that right, Sakura?" Sylvia repeated, this time in a more sinister tone.
“Y-Yes! We'll get this place clean in no time flat, n-nya!”

"I've got some ideas for that...we'll see how it goes!" Hana hadn't fully powered up Suiu yet, or brought her into battle. After handing over the keys, she waved to Hikari as her Guild member departed with her pet dragon. "Madame? Oh, you don't have to be so formal." She waved the idea away. "I guess I'm in charge, but I'm not, like, the boss or anything."

Looking between the two maids as they chattered, she did her best to answer those questions. "Well, there's no TV or radio signals, and no internet. But I grabbed a bunch of TVs and laptops and stuff!" She pointed towards the apartments. "They've got one of each, and a disc player, along with some furniture and beds. Everything else is in the office or bank."

Hana gestured back towards the stairs. "There's discs in there for movies and music, and a lot of games still work, too. Just the online stuff is down." She smiled. "I'm not a, uh, decorator or anything, so if you want to make things look a little prettier while you're dusting or whatever, that's fine too!"
