"Scars. These are mine to bear. A piece to remember my freedom by, and the challenges we are still facing." Hikari finished up her bandage and looked towards Kurai. "In any case, the scars never linger too long." It was one thing she was happy about in this new world. Stats. Skills. Abilities. They were all a godsend when it comes to life. The problem was, life just got a bit harder because of them.

She listened to hr brother tell her of his travels, of the people he had met. She was glad that Kurai was making his own way, not that his brother ever was lost. He knew who he was, and fought tooth and nail for it. Herself? Well, that was different. And she was different now too.

"I'm glad your journey has been well so far. Many are not as lucky." She grimaced a moment, before letting an impassive expression settle. "I've been good, thank you. The world is anew, and I'm paving my way through it. My own path." She smiled at Kurai, a rare smile. What was unsaid was: a path not chosen by father.

Once they were all ready, she waved at Kurai, "Let's go once you're ready, I would rather we finish this sooner rather than later. And then perhaps we can share a meal." She nodded towards the door, before walking towards it. "As far as I know, this Earth-Chan is not one we should mess around with. And, in some ways, I should thank her." Hikari was not happy about it, but she must admit that the opportunities now before her would not be available if not for Earth-Chan.

"Shall we? Hikari emerged from the dressing room feeling refreshed, as though she had been rejuvenated just sitting within the space. She was ready to finish this mission and regain her home.

Hikari watched as Kairi pulled her. She could see determination in the eyes of her summon, and Hikari immediately knew why Kairi had been so headstrong lately. "I apologize for putting you in the sidelines, Kairi. It's not that I don't trust you. Rather, it's that the missions I have been undertaking are just slightly above your current capabilities." She stroked the back of her Angelic Serpent, "Perhaps once you grow a bit more, you can fight alongside me. For now..." She paused, as Dee Dee pointed something out.

It was a brawl. A fight. With...a reindeer? "It seems as though your companions are quick to action, Dee Dee." She nodded towards the small woman, before smiling, "and it looks like you've got some new companions as well. Are those...? Hikari looked closer, and yes, they do look like the miniature version of at least one boss they fought.

"Alright, Kairi, I'll make you a deal. For this fight, I want you to fight in the air. Find opportunities to use your ranged attacks." It would be Kairi's first true battle, and Hikari was nervous. She set that aside from her mind for now, however, and focused on the battle.

Leaping forward, Hikari withdrew both Murakumo and Habakiri. She dashed forward, black wings manifesting behind her as she started flying towards the fight. In a flash, she was within the melee, slashing at two elves as she made her presence known. Kairi took the lead of her summoner and sent a Frigid Blast towards an elf that had tried to get too close to Hikari. Kairi, for the first time in forever, felt needed and useful.

The daily decisions of guild masters is not something Hikari was privy to. Nor would she want to be privy of them. Establishing branches and supply lines aren't what Hikari is interested in. She was by no means a follower, but rather, she enjoyed her autonomy. And so, when talk of guild branches and waypoints came up, she looked aside, instead focusing on their beautiful surroundings.

Hikari looked towards everyone once more when Dee Dee produced the summons which had seemingly been hatched. She stared a moment, before smiling. It was always great to see summons being well taken cared for, especially since they had been hatched by Dee Dee, whom she knew was the best person for the job.

At the mention of curious companions, Hikari's head turned forward. "This place is truly magical. I haven't seen species like those in my own travels." She had traveled quite a bit since coming back, and she had not been quite as luck to have met species like fairies and whatnot.

"Do you think we can communicate with them, perhaps?" She looked curiously at Hana, then Enigma, and finally at Dee Dee. It might be to their benefit if they do. They might have some knowledge of this place, and what it holds. Or perhaps they might be allies, which is always good to have in a dangerous world such as this.

Summons were all fearsome in their own way. It was one of the reasons why Dee Dee was formidable when it comes to combat. Her summons are basically various extensions of herself, able to do multiple things at once, in comparison to a regular person. "I don't doubt her abilities in a fight. I've seen Dee Dee's own summons, and they always surprise me with what they can do." Perhaps she needed to get Kairi more immersed in fights herself, though she knew she was being overprotective of her summon.

As they were led to a frozen lake, Hikari smiled. It was beautiful. She was always a winter kind-of person, who enjoyed Christmastime the most. She enjoyed going to Paris, to Barcelona, and especially to New York during her winter break. New York was her absolute favourite because of the festivities that happen there, and the fact that it was far far away from her father.

She picked another gift just before reaching the lake's shore. Kairi was snuggled up fully, though Hikari knew that the Angelic serpent did not mind the cold. She was snuggling because it helped keep her summoner warm, which Hikari was grateful for.

"I remember these...creatures." Hikari glanced over at Hana, "We fought them before, didn't we?" She turned back to the lake as the skis were handed to her. It seems the Stonks were pulling, though it was Kairi who unwrapped herself from Hikari and nodded towards the Stonks. "Ah, it seems Kairi wants to be the one pulling me." She let Kairi take the reins in her jaws. "Let's follow Dee Dee, shall we?" Kairi growled before taking off, following after Dee Dee.

When the three-headed dog finally fell, Hikari turned her attention quickly to Kurai. She glanced towards him and his position, before deeming him to be safe and sound, before smiling at Hana. "I assure you, Miss Hana, that we didn't have a dog like that when we lived here prior." His father hated dogs, and said they were dirty. Perhaps she should get herself one when she lived in this house one day?

The pain on her side, however, jolted her back. She glanced towards her dress, before wincing once more. The fang had left a gash wound on her side, though it wasn't too deep. She wasn't bleeding out profusely, but it was starting to stain her dress more and more.

"Oh, the lawn? It needed redecorating anyway." Hikari was glad it was destroyed. The pride and joy of her father need not live on. "About the dressing room..." Hikari wanted to continue on, wasting no time. However, she knew that she probably needed to bandage herself up, and perhaps provide Kurai some armor. The last thing she needed was for her brother to get hurt.

She moved with Hana before the woman seemingly summoned a door out of nowhere. Her guild leader's voice was slightly jarring, though she knew it was only because she had not done many missions with her. "Sounds good." She trusted the woman and walked in.

Inside was a dressing room. A dressing room filled with everything one needed to...survive? She looked at the clothing selection, before realizing that there were armor lined up that looked similar to Hana's own, as well as samples of her dress before her transformation. They were beautiful, though not her style. It was Hana's through and through.

She turned back, hoping Kurai would follow through. "We should get you suited up, Kurai. You can probably choose yourself, let me bandage myself up here real quick." She glided to the mirror before grabbing a lace of cloth and started to wrap it around her wound. "It's been a bit, Kurai. How's everything with you? Especially after you...loaded in?" Hikari tentatively asked, as she finished wrapping her wound, tucking the makeshift bandage to make sure it wouldn't get in the way.

Hikari looked towards Suiu and Hana, before petting Kairi. "I'm sure Suiu will grow more confident with each passing day." She looked towards Kairi then, and softly chided her summon, "Kairi would learn well from Suiu that confidence, is sometimes, not a good thing. Especially against really strong monsters." Kairi would rub her cheek against hers, as though apologetic. Sometimes, the Angelic Serpent was too headstrong for her own good. Just like herself, she supposed.

Picking up another present, she glanced towards Dee Dee and nodded. "It would be good to pick up presents and head towards the X. Especially if you're familiar with the area. Lead the way." She picked up another and placed it into her inventory. It was then she realized that there were more elves now...

"These elves keep popping up...they're pests, aren't they?" She asked, before being answered by Dee Dee. It seems the woman thought they were inhabitants, until proven otherwise now. She flicked her hand and Shotsuren skewered one more, before Daitsuren unsheathed. The woman glanced sideways, and found another trying to sneak behind her to tear at a present.

"Oh no, you don't." Daitsuren shot backwards, nabbing the elf before it disappeared. "I thought elves were Santa's helpers. I never expected to see evil elves...though the System has ways of making nice things...not nice." She shook her head, before turning her attention back to their task.

Hikari breathed a sigh of relief when they finally left that specific corridor. The place had been too ominous for her, and she could still feel the hairs on the back of her head prickled up. She knew that they could probably have taken on that monster, or whatever it was. But in their state, it would have been a hard match.

Looking up towards the various paths open to them, she realized that these were the ones they had already gone through. she turned back a moment, assessed the situation, before nodding. "It seems we've gone through the paths we can for this section. Perhaps we need to backtrack and fin-" She was stopped by a loud roar.

Hikari's eyes looked towards Dee Dee. She could not sense the presence heading towards them. No footsteps were to be had either. The monster that they had just turned away from must be frustrated. Angry, even.

"Perhaps we should head out now..." Hikari nodded towards the exit, before making her way towards it. She was not going to tempt fate.

Hikari nodded at Dee Dee's suggestion and started their way away. "Yes, I feel like these rubber would be useful. Perhaps for wheels?" Wheels were often a necessity, and while wood sufficed, having ribber wheels would be really useful, especially in certain terrains.

They moved to another corridor. Hikari sighed as she peeked through. This time, there were no holes or indents in the wall. Instead, it was just clear. Clear of everything.

Hikari's eyes narrowed before she sensed danger ahead. Not fake this time, but real. She could hear breathing somewhere along the corridor. It was deep and menacing. But it also was not moving. Which means it might be waiting for people to cross the threshold. The only reason she could even hear it is because she'd encountered things like these before. In the dark, there were monsters who fed. And those were the worst.

"I feel like we should leave this one alone, Dee Dee." Hikari spoke up, not even making a move into the corridor. "There's something there. Something menacing. It seems we finally found the real trap." She was not going to risk it, not when she's injured like this.

"I'm unsure why that is. Perhaps the System is toying with us?" It was possible. Toying with higher levels would make most be very angry. Most higher leveled people would want to be treated seriously. This was, perhaps a way to lower their guard. "Maybe the System is trying to lower the guards of those caught in these traps?" She voiced out.

Kairi carried her for a few more before Hikari found herself healed enough to walk on her own. The healing aura from Kairi worked wonders, though Hikari knew she would need to keep her foot iced for the next couple of days. Walking, however, should be fine.

When they got to the room with the floors having holes, Hikari paused as well. "Yes...traps..." She held out her hand, and shot one of her swords through the room, zooming through as it triggered the traps.

Spikes shot out of the floor. The steel spikes left little time for reaction, though something odd was happening. The spikes...were flopping? "Dee Dee, is this also made of rubber?" The spikes were now lolled to the side, as though they were never even dangerous in the first place. "We should...try another corridor I think?" She backed away at the scene, before looking towards another corridor.

"Kairi will carry me for a little bit, but after that, I should be fine." She was not going to be weak. Not right now. Not ever.

As they arrived to a long hallway, the junction having been one they had not gone through prior, Hikari stopped. She looked around, before holding her hand out. There was an indent on the wall, one which looked to be covered in dust and very hard to see.

"Dee Dee, watch out." Blades started to whir, as it started halfway through the room before zooming towards them. Hikari jumped off her dragon and held out her swords, Murakumo and Habakiri, to block the blades, only for it to..."What? It's rubber." Hikari felt it flop on her swords, before she held out her hand and touched the blades. They were, in fact, made of rubber.

Hikari nodded at Dee Dee as she explained why she was exhausted. "The System has a way of punishing us for using strong skills and abilities. I myself am..." She paused, wincing as each and every word she spoke sent a sharp pain down her upper back. It seems she took more damage than she thought.

"I'm fine." She grunted out, before Kairi started using one of her abilities to heal her. She felt Kairi's comforting halo, and slowly, the aches and pains she felt were ebbing away. For the most part. She cracked her neck, before turning her attention back towards Dee Dee.

Hikari nodded at the woman's suggestion. "Yes, we should look at exploring the maze a bit further. The map might prove useful, it might not, but having some information is better than none." She knew that it would help other people one day, especially those who are in contact with Dee Dee. Is it possible they were the first this far into the dungeon? Is that why there aren't any information available out there?

Hikari found herself staring at Dee Dee, and her attack. The fact that the swordsman had been distracted by her attack made it easier for Dee Dee to do hers. She had been planning to have Dee Dee be the surprise aspect for this fight, after all. She had seen the woman do so much damage in one go, and she thought this was their best chance.

"Dee Dee, are you okay?" Hikari asked as she slowly made her way forward towards the woman. She waved at her, before holding out her hand. "I can have Kairi heal you if you need it?" She let her hand flow forward as the Angelic Serpent materialized in front of her, before curling herself up into Hikari. Hikari had wanted Kairi out of the battle for now, knowing that it was too much for her young summon.

The woman then turned to the now-fallen corpse of the swordsman. She moved slowly towards the golem, before looking at the sword it carried. She lowered herself, holding her hand towards the sword, before letting it go. The swordsman was a worthy opponent, and the bruises on her legs and back were a testament to this. She might not be bleeding, but she was hurt.

"Say, Dee Dee, I'm guessing you're ready? I hope your summons are doing fine. Thank them for me later, will you?" Hikari nodded towards the small woman. "Shall we?"

All of Dee Dee's work had irritated the swordsman. Hikari could see it in its eyes. It took a beating, which gave Hikari some room as she stepped back. Her shield was still up, having recovered the damage that had been done to it. She took herself to a kneeling position, before forcing herself back up. She can feel the bruises forming on her knees and lower back, the pressure of the sword strike had been devastating to say the least.

Hikari had to quickly dodge as the swordsman swung towards her. The swing of its sword barely missed Hikari as it ripped her dress. She looked at the aftermath, before seeing red.

"You're dead." Hikari glowered at the swordsman, before waving her fan. The shield was still there, and the swordsman's skill hit it head on. It crashed into the shield, making it glow in shades of red and black. Hikari did not bother to move, she was unable to regardless. Instead, she waved her hand as Shotsuren, Daitsuren, and Kenmyoren shot out from behind her, hitting the swordsman head on. It successfully parried them, but they still opened up gashes on its body.

The swordsman, seeing its attack did not connect, tried to breach the barrier with its hand, hoping to grasp onto Hikari. Hikari watched it slowly, calculating her move meticulously, before at the last minute, she jumped back, letting her barrier dissipate.

The swordsman followed, dashing forward. But Hikari was faster. She knew, however, that her SPD buff from her skill was about to end. She needed to do this quick. With a good amount of distance between herself and the swordsman, Hikari sheathed all of her swords and spoke, "Ougi - Yuudachi."

There was a silence, before celestial blades started raining down on the position of the swordsman. From here, Hikari can see the swordsman try to parry the swords, to no avail. There were too many. And the swords were not completely tangible. Hikari watched as the celestial swords pierced through the swordsman, as it now tried to get away.
