Hana followed Jonas, lagging slightly behind to keep an eye on Arcana as well. She wanted to be near both, just in case either the merfolk or spirit suddenly became less than friendly. For now, the creatures in the water seemed to be keeping their distance as well, and the ghost was content to pester Arcana. Once she began paying it less attention, though, it vanished and returned to repeating that same unfinished trip.

"Uh, well I already picked ghost." A lot of Japanese myths were cool, but she wasn't sure she wanted to be a part of any of them. "Before everything changed, I would've picked something that could fly, I guess." Now flying was a fairly common activity for her, and several people she adventured with.

"I think it keeps trying to gather up these items and take them to the portal. How about we each grab one and head that direction?" Hana pointed towards the break in the trees, which all seemed to be angled the same way. Then she began moving towards a package she'd seen lift and fall a few times, picking that parcel for herself.

Hana looked up from the floating screen, nodding to Hikari. "It's your place, after all. I'm happy to leave you in charge of it!" She smiled at the maids as well. "I'm sure the extra occupants will be appreciated. Along with all the help. The place is pretty huge, so it's gonna require a lot of attention."

The teen blinked at the explanation. "...oh, and she's the cat? That's cute." Hana looked over the information on the phone screen as it was pointed at her. Most newbies were more comfortable accessing the system through their phone, especially if she hadn't been in much combat yet. "I just got a, uh, summon too!"

Hana gestured with one hand...obviously expecting something, by the way she paused afterwards. "...she's shy." Another motion, more insistent this time, and a figure appeared behind her in a burst of liquid, like a giant water balloon popping. "Stop hiding and say hello, Suiu!" With just her horns and eyes peeking above Hana's shoulder, the elemental waved to the new arrivals. She seemed less concerned about Hikari, at least.

"Well, it's official now! I can still give you both an apartment, if you want. Suiu just disappears on me." After pondering it for a moment. "...if you're going to recruit more maids, we should probably let you have full control of the, like, uh...servants' wing of the manor? You have one of those, I bet." Hana seemed a little confused when Tristan turned down her offer. Usually people were more than happy to grab some old school snacks like these. Although, now that she was paying more attention, she noticed he seemed rather anxious. "...right, I forgot. It, like, freezes you in time before you start your Tutorial. The world's been different for, like, more than a year. I've been running around here almost as long, so I've kinda gotten used to it."

She'd heard about people having way worse Tutorials than hers, and she'd been pretty upset with what it had interrupted as well. "If you've got some points from your Tutorial, I can show you how to buy stuff from the system instead. It's not as good, but...you gotta eat, right?" The bag in her hands disappeared, as another screen popped into existence. After a few pokes she turned it around for Tristan to see the store interface.

And then, another new person appeared, the greeting causing Hana to turn her head. A moment later she waved, smiling happily. "Hey! Do you need help, too? I was just leading people back to my Guild base. The Safe Zone doesn't extend much further than this. Not yet, at least."

Hana stopped at the bottom of the stairs, having just descended from her upper floor apartment. The teen looked over, smiling and waving, before jogging closer. She was dressed for the activity, stretchy exercise gear with a baggy hoodie on top. "Oh, hey! Two new recruits?" Surprised, but in a pleasant way. "We've definitely still got room here!"

The musician returned the proper bow. "Uh, I feel underdressed for this, though..." Hana couldn't help but blush, looking between the maids and her always regal Guild member. "Nice to meet you both! Mmm, did you recruit them to help with your, uh, manor?" After the encounter they'd had there when claiming it, more than a few repairs were required. Nothing some mission grinding for points wouldn't fix, though.

"For now, I can get you rooms assigned as soon as we make things official." Hana summoned one of the floating system screens, beginning to poke through options. "So, what classes did you get?" She had a feeling they weren't combat focused, most likely. Although at the moment the pressing issue was why she couldn't seem to send both of the girls in front of her a Guild invite. One did pop up in front of Sylvia, at least.

"Huh?" Hana broke from her pose as Jonas stopped singing to ask a question. "Oh, it was daytime when we were driving over here. I think it just changed the time of day right here." Not the strangest thing she'd seen happen. Time zones no longer made any sense at all, and several parts of the world were locked to one season, or one time of day.

She looked around as well, guitar disappearing back into her inventory once she was confident the miniature event was over. The phantom hands that had been assisting her were gone by now as well. A few moments later and the official mission completion screen popped up in front of her.

"We should report in at the farm nearby. I'll introduce you to everyone! I bet they want us to stay for lunch." Hana grinned wide at the idea. "Also, good work! Hana was just glad to see him improving. The worst thing people could do in this new world seemed to be staying stagnant. Without something to strive for, people tended to just disappear. If she'd been aware of his own concerns, she'd probably tell him about the time she had to run away from one vulture...

For now, she let Jonas rush off, glancing around to work out where he'd wind up at the end of that route. Taking the direct path to get there first, she spun her instrument back around to the proper grip and began to copy the guitar accompanying his singing. "You can fight it, or rock with it!" Hana happily announced, smiling, as she anticipated the next break in the song.

After Jonas blasted the horde and hopped out of range, Hana warped the melody of the song into a country-flavored guitar solo, sonic force expanding out from her position. The advancing wave of skeletons was blasted apart, crumbling to dust as the wall of sound washed over them. "But music conquers all!" She finished things up with a final strum, unable to keep herself from posing for a moment.

That seemed to be the cue for light to begin filtering through the trees again. Tombstones sinking into the ground, and disembodied eyes vanishing from the surrounding foliage. Soon enough it'd be proper daytime in a peaceful forest once more.

Hana let out a shout as Jonas dashed forward like that, impressed by his maneuverability. Once he turned back to dispatch a couple of the stragglers with some short of shattering blast, she dashed closer, following the path he'd taken. The blonde didn't need any speed increases to keep up, moving swiftly enough on her own.

At the back of the pack, she hopped into the air, spinning as her momentum carried her forward. Her skirt suddenly jutted outwards, rotating with her like some sort of buzzsaw as she sliced through a pair of skeletons. Landing smoothly, Hana continued twisting, blasting through another two undead with each fist as she kept spinning.

Popping back up next to Jonas as her spin skidded to a stop, the floating hand helpfully dropped her guitar back into her grip, and she slashed it through a final skeleton as she finished cleaning up. Well, she finished cleaning up the current mob. There were more flashes of bone visible pushing out of the earth, peeking from the forest surrounding them. "Maybe we can do a big loop to round everyone up? Or this is gonna take all day!"

The map Jonas created immediately began pinging in multiple locations. The most obvious one seemed to be the ghost, invisible to them while the map seemed to have less trouble keeping track of it. While it didn't always cross the entire distance between two points, it would be easy enough for Jonas to study the pings it made whenever it reappeared and track its course.

At first, it seemed to be simply looping around the strange little settlement with no real purpose. But now, with a bit more detail, it seemed to be repeating some sort of routine. Stopping at the same huts, trying to lift the same boxes and other objects, before they slipped from its insubstantial grip. Towards the trees, then reappearing back near the buildings.

Of course, now that they'd disturbed its routine, it seemed curious about them as well. Mostly Arcana, who it seemed to be bothering the most, while it mostly ignored Hana. "Eh, what? What's wrong?" She turned to spot the footsteps in the sand, circling around their confused party member. "I think it likes you! That's good news. Aren't you supposed to be studying it?"

Hana flinched at first, before realizing the flying earth was meant to protect her. "Woah, cool rock!" The exclamation seemed genuine. Jonas was already taking care of his share of skeletons, so now it was time for her to focus on the undead approaching her.

The first one was easy, as she simply smashed it to pieces with a swing of her guitar, a squeal of tortured sound emitted as the instrument hit home. Freeing one hand from the weapon, she smashed her fist through the skull of the next skeleton in line, wincing for a moment at the sight. "Ugh, gross!"

They didn't seem to be stopping there, more of the unliving creatures dragging themselves free from the ground or stumbling from the concealment of the dark and shadowy bushes surrounding the area. Hana tossed her guitar into the air as a phantom hand appeared to grab it for her, freeing up her other hand to let her punch through another skeleton as it attempted to grasp her with a bony hand.

"They're not very strong, but there's sure a lot of 'em!" Hana called out to her partner for this mission, glancing over to make sure he was doing okay with his share of the skeletons. So far so good! His class seemed to prefer keeping a distance and using those barriers to let him fire off ranged attacks, from what she'd seen.

Hana did a double-take when she heard Hikari's voice coming from this still unfamiliar face. Even though she'd been made aware of what had happened to her Guild member, as well as several other unlucky victims, it was still a surprise. "Oh, Hikari!" She recovered, smiling and nodding in response. "If you wanna come along, sure!"

The musician pulled up a system map to select that waypoint, turning it slightly towards Hikari as she explained Engima's current predicament. "I guess that Halloween lottery was full of surprises, huh?" Selecting their teleportation destination, she tried to put a serious and concerned look on her face. "Hey, uh...I got teased a lot for my hair and looks and stuff too. I know it's not really the same, but, I'm here if you wanna talk! Or just need new hair and makeup tips until this wears off!" Hana was all smiles again by the end.

A few moments later they appeared at their destination, and the blonde...uh, the blonde musician again checked her status screen for any other changes in the environment. "We never really explored this area, besides collecting the waypoint and marking portals on the map. But there's portals everywhere, so that doesn't really help." She looked up from the map after noting a new marker on it, pointing at the building now visible jutting above the trees. "That wasn't here before, though."

"It's not causing any problems right now, but..." Hana gestured back the way they'd come. "The villagers and farmers that live nearby call me in whenever there's a problem like this. They're not really interested in leveling up and doing missions and stuff, but they've always got plenty of fresh vegetables and bread and stuff for me, so...!" Hana had slowly and steadily assembled her own very full inventory of items, and was reaping the benefits. Her original stage costume she'd been wearing when her Tutorial started had gone through multiple repairs and been recycled into new outfits, but her new Dress of Wonders let her recreate it! Or anything else she could think of. Of course, she was still wearing something sporty and protective underneath it, just in case something went wrong.

Suspicious shapes began to appear in the trees and bushes, glowing eyes watching them. Hana looked up from the crystalline bass guitar she was strumming as the message from Engima popped up nearby. Tilting her head, a confused expression on her face, she returned the item to her inventory and began double-checking the status of herself and her Guild. All of the menus said she was in the same place, and poking her head outside the door to her apartment confirmed the same view as always.

"I'm still just outside Tokyo. All I got from the Halloween event was a token for a free level, and I'm saving that for later! I didn't know the base getting moved was an option! I should've read the fine print a little more carefully." Hana messaged him in return, before beginning to prep for an excursion. "I'll see if I can grab Dee Dee and come check things out!"

Messaging the other Guild leader she knew was always up for a little exploration, Hana attempted to make plans to meet up with Dee Dee at the waypoint closest to Enigma's supposed current location. Although he was off in uncharted territory, for her at least. And she was pretty sure Engima and her had spent more time in the Devil's Triangle than any of the other high rankers she was familiar with.

Thankfully her distraction worked, as the final sentry focused on her, attempting to smash at her with both arms. She lifted her own arm in response, a heart-shaped shield appearing, pink aura pulsing as it easily absorbed the attack. The ranged attacks from Kurai and his companion hit it from behind a moment before a melodic tone rang out from her shield. While it simply tingled through her party members, it seemed to damage the robot, sending it reeling directly into Hikari's attack.

As the slice sent it stumbling back towards her, she simply smashed her fist through the sentry's head, the malfunctioning machine crumbling to the ground, twitching and sparking. Hana glanced at Hikari, smiling sheepishly. She hadn't exactly given Kurai much of a chance to finish it off, but at least he'd gotten to contribute!

"That was a good start!" Even if she'd been way louder than any properly stealthy approach. Noticing where Hikari was looking, she also turned to examine the house they'd been clearing a path towards. "Well, you knew a side entrance through the gate...is there a back door?"
