Another day, another way in which Olliver had to find ways to fund his business venture. That having been the case, Olliver had decided that the best way to expand his stores was to take on a mission or two. After having checked around in the Hub, this fairly plump merchant would decidedly pick one. One that had supposedly been taking place within Los Angeles. Given that he had been there previously, the man had figured that this would be a good enough choice of place. A quick trip to a waypoint later and Olliver would find himself there once more.

All that was really left at the moment was for Olliver to head to the location in which the mission had been given. This much would be a rather simple task for him if he had decided to fly on out towards the supposed mission location. Olliver would opt against such a method though, seeing as it would offer him really nothing more than a disadvantage. Sure, this place may have been considered that of [Safe Zone], but who knows what kinds of things could happen out here?? Rather than zoom through the skies to get to where he needed to be, Olliver would simply call on the friend that he had made within New York. His fifteen foot horned serpent whom he had aptly named Dendar.

Rather than soar through the air, Olliver would take a more interesting route in his opinion. He would simply climb atop of the horned serpents head and would allow for it to slither through the streets of Los Angeles. Along the way towards their initial destination, Olliver would take note of a truck that was driving along the road. A sight that he hadn't anticipated coming across for sure!! Sure, he had a license of his own that would allow for him to make use of such a vehicle, but this was the first time that he had come upon another individual with such a thing. That being the case, Olliver would simply smile and have his horned serpent begin to approach the vehicle. More than anything else, he had been rather curious about the individual that had managed to acquire a license.

Time would continue to pass as Olliver had carefully navigated his way through the city sized colossus. He would have to move slowly so that he could avoid the attention of the prehistoric creatures lurking about. The thought of simply flying overhead to try and track down his patron had certainly occurred but it was rather quickly deterred. The winged beasts with scales and long beaks had made sure of that. All in all, simply being here had caused enough worry for the merchant. 'Honestly.. I hope that I can track this man down soon. This is clearly not the best place to be on my own.. Honestly, being here with another individual doesn't even feel like it'll help. Should have waited until a full party had been established.' The portly man couldn't help but allow for a soft sigh to escape from his lips as he had continued to determine what to do.

Thankfully Olliver wouldn't have to worry so much about it for long. After a few more minutes of exploration, he would go on to catch something in his peripheral vision. Turning about and taking the time to focus on it would allow for Olliver to take note of a singular individual. Given the clothing that they had been wearing, Olliver could only assume that it was a human that had caught up with the times of this newly fantastical world. Either that or this had been a well established NPC. Unsure of which it had been, the portly man would begin to make headway towards this individual. 'Earth-Chan, you better not be messing with me.. If this isn't the guy that I'm looking for-'

Before he could even finish the thought, Olliver would manage to close in on the rock that this fellow had been standing upon. From down below it, he would call forth his gnarled wand and hide it behind his back. Better safe than sorry. "Who goes?" A phrasing that he had learned at a LARP in his youth. Having recognized this, he would shake his head and attempt to reintroduce himself. "My name is Olliver. You may refer to me as that or as the bronze hawk." This last bit would be pointed out solely for the purpose of trying to catch the mans attention. Some had heard of the merchant and some had not. "Yourself?"

Having just wrapped up setting his store in Central Unison, Olliver had now found himself in need of something to do. He had opted to give Nubia a bit of time to herself for a bit while he had handled his business and as such, was without her for the first time in awhile. "Honestly.. What am I going to do now?? I could wait at the shop but that sounds horribly boring if I am being honest. That's what the NPCs are for now." It was then that an idea would come to him. He could simply take up to the player boards!! This was something that he had utilized once before, when he had been putting out the word for his auction. Hopefully something good is up there for now. He needs the connections.

It wouldn't take all that long before Olliver would find a posting that would catch his eye. From what he could tell, there was an individual requesting aid in tracking down some kind of flower. Such a task didn't seem all that difficult upon first glance. It was only after Olliver had read over the location of this request that he would have a moment of hesitation. Sleeping Colossus. An area known for deadly beasts and player killing. If this was some kind of trick to hunt down players... Well hopefully Olliver would be able to get his ass out of there.

In truth, this was something that the merchant truly hadn't been all that sure about. The risks were exceedingly high.. but than again, if this was legit, so were the rewards. Always a gambler, Olliver would decide to simply ignore that gut feeling and take the risk. He would simply head out towards the nearest waygate and teleport to the designated location. Rather than working towards running an auction and forcing players to bid against one another, perhaps it would be best for him to simply set up a shop and allow for people to come and claim what they want. Of course he would still charge people for these services but at least it would allow for someone to purchase something at a set price instead of fighting against others for constantly raised ones. That being the case, Olliver would take the time to head back towards Unison Central once more. [break][break] Much like the reason that he had chosen to set up the auction here, Olliver had very much appreciated this place. It was one of the few locations within the world that had NPCs to enforce the rules. A true bastion of wartime neutrality. One that was too isolated for monster incursions and that employed various high level guards that could ensure that peace was maintained. Truly a place of a beauty. "I suppose that I am going to need to find a storefront for such a thing... This much should work!!" The man would quite honestly spend a very little amount of time tracking down a proper location for his store. All he needed was a neat little studio for the time being. In time this would change but for now?? For now, a shoddy shop with access to a warehouse was all that he had needed. Once everything was taken care of in that regard, he would simply display his items and place their prices beside them. As far as he was concerned, everything was more or less in order now. The question that she would go on to ask Olliver was truthfully a rather good one. Just how many more times could he use this blade?? While he had truly been hoping to show off to Nubia, so as to impress her and of course test out this new weapon of his, Olliver hadn't considered how often he would be able to utilize this dimensional katana. That being the case, Olliver would take the time to inspect the weapon in hand. From what he could tell.. He wouldn't be able to use it again for quite awhile. Not during this quest at least. A true miscalculation on the part of the merchant. All that he could really hope for now was that he wouldn't embarrass himself during this quest. "Ahaha... I may not be the best with this thing quite yet but at least I got some decent use out of it!!" He would than proceed to toss the katana back into his inventory whilst calling forth and equipping his wand of shared misery. "I should probably use this time to test out most of the equipment that I have gathered."

As the two would walk about, Olliver would take the time to filter through his inventory. He would make various trades with the System, casting away items that he didn't feel that he would need and going as far as to acquire a few items here and there. One of these items that he would go on to acquire would act as a level booster of sorts. Something that he was honestly quite surprised to have found. 'Huh.. I wonder how big of a difference things will make once I take this??' That thought in mind, Olliver would down the golden liquid contained within. As he would do so, massive bouts of power would begin to flow throughout the entirety of his body. His magic reserves would further bolster themselves in every which way, going on to increase his magical capabilities and how often he could find himself capable of utilizing magical effects. This surge of power that had coursed throughout his body had absolutely been no joke. If anything, this was perhaps the justifiable proof that Olliver had needed to recognize just how wonderful it was to live in this world governed by Earth-Chan. Sure things were different but.. All in all, he had truly begun to feel as though his life was better to some effect.

Shutters would escape from the mans body as his grip would softly tighten around Nubia's hand. He had done his best to not display the way that he had been feeling in this moment but dependent on Nubia's intuitiveness, it was entirely likely that she would perceive what was going on. Hopefully he could get away with it seeming like he just had chills from all the compliments though.

Eventually the two would come upon a warped tree. One that had held a face of sorts upon its lumber base and that was entirely likely to come and attack them. It was as the two would come upon this that the system would offer them a prompt, displaying the name of the creature. Treant. If Olliver was remembering correctly, he had read about one of these during his time in University. It was around the time that he was going over the creatures from his tutorial as well.. Thank the gods for Greek History!! "A talking Elm huh..?? Well shit," he would say practically in unison with his interlocked companion.

Crouching down beside Nubia, the man would begin to do as told. He would offer a soft yet curt nod towards the woman beside him and begin to charge up his flying capabilities. It would take a moment to fully power up but at least it was a start. As he had begun to do so, the Treant would lash out at the duo, roots flailing about and find themselves sent towards them. "I need you to buy me a minute of time.." Hoping to buy said time for the both of them as well, Olliver would raise up the wand of shared misery and unleash a bolt of energy towards one of the roots. It wasn't effective enough to really do much, if he was being honest, but the frost slowly starting to cover the root would be rather evident.

Having taken note of the fact that Nubia had wished for him to cease his movement, Olliver would do just that. He would stop mid-step and quirk a single towards his companion. Next thing he knew, Ollie was being tackled to the ground, his life being saved in the process. "What the hell was that?!" The plump man wasn't sure what else to say in the moment. Not only had something just attempted to take the lives of one of these two but now Nubia was laying atop of him. To say that he was unsure of how to proceed would be an understatement. "Are you okay..?" It was then that she would tell him about the ranged attacker. Someone that was actively attempting to take them out for sure. "Shit.. Alright."

Knowing that he was screwed if he just stayed here, Olliver would quickly call forth a helmet from his inventory. One that he had received as a reward for clearing the tutorial. It was fashioned much like a bronze hawk and went solely by the name of Eagle Eyes. 'I can't just leave her to get attacked like this. Even if I can't really fight the damned thing, I should help how I can.' The rotund man would also go on to equip the wand that he had found, hoping that it would be of some use to him in this venture. Upon doing so, he would come to understand the value of this gnarled wooden wand. It was capable of sending out bolts of magic that would eventually go on to incorporate frostbite damage. Perhaps not the best suited for this particular venture but... There was really only one way to find out.

By this point, Nubia would have been rushing off towards the Ice Elf Scout. The dagger within her hand would grow to that of a katana and from that point, a sickle of wind being flung from her blade and towards the creature. This wasn't enough to end the life of the scout, unfortunately, but it was at least a start. And thankfully it would buy Olliver enough time to prepare his own attack. With shaking hands, Olliver would raise up the gnarled wand of shared misery. The tip of the wand would begin to set itself aglow and from there, a single bolt of energy would find itself flung off towards the scout!! Hopefully it hits.. Otherwise, Olliver might just find himself taken out here.

With each advance that Nubia would make towards Olliver, the redder the man could feel his cheeks beginning to darken. It wasn't all that often that he was on the receiving side of such affections. If anything, the only true love that he has had up to this point was his love for merchantry but now? Well it was a possibility for something to expand. Perhaps this quest would be enough to throw things into motion for the two of them. Perhaps not. Quite honestly, only time would tell. Either way, with things having progressed in the way that they had thus far, Olliver couldn't help but smirk and gently rub shoulders with Nubia.

With another slash of the katana, in the open air in the direction facing the spirit that had attempted to attack him a moment earlier, that purple rift would appear once again. This time however, rather than capturing something within it, the rift would opt to expel something in the direction of the miniature spirit. The arrow that had been consumed only moments earlier was now taking off towards it's original owner with the same speed that it had been at earlier. Upon hearing that there were rumors of treasure being hidden within these mists, Olliver's eyes would immediately go wide and the corners of his lips would shoot up rather high. Any form of treasure that he could acquire would be good enough for him. It was something that he could sell.. And that is all that the man had really needed. The fact that Nubia had slapped him on the ass had registered in his brain but in this moment, in front of another individual, Olliver had chosen to ignore the fact that it had happened. It was something that he could bring up later when it was just the two of them. After all, despite the fact that the two had pretty blatantly had some feelings for one another, there hadn't been any formal statement of them being together at this point. Perhaps this was a discussion that would come sooner rather than later due to the public displays of affection.

Figuring that he would have to explore a bit more of the world to truly understand what things were like now, Olliver had chosen to hang about the hub as so many people had been doing. He had just finished another round of mimosas and had chosen to make his way on over towards the waypoints. From what he had heard while he was having drinks, there was various things slowly happening about the world. The most ear grabbing one at present though was the fact that something known as the Ghost Mines of the Badlands was opening up?

Although he had known nothing of these supposed Ghost Mines, Olliver had been aware of what the Badlands were. Up to this point, he had actively been avoiding them and for good reason. Not only were these Badlands a place in which other players could actively harm one another but they had been set up in a manner that would allow for one to die from the very nature itself if one wasn't prepared. Now that the plump man had managed to level up a decent amount though, Olliver didn't see too much reason to ignore the place. Of course he would take the time to invite the few comrades that he had managed to make. Unfortunately, it would seem as though Nubia simply wasn't able to make it out this time around.

Equipped with his anti-gravity boots, his Eagle Eye (bronze hawk) mask, and his dimensional slicer, Olliver would arrive on the scene. From what he could initially tell, there wasn't a ton to really see in the beginning. Nothing more than a few other people at least. "A large network of mines, huh? Suppose we should hope that these spirits don't cause too many problems for us." A hearty laugh would escape from the mans lips at this as he would take a gander at those around him.

Olliver would nod several times to show the man that he had been listening to the things that he had to say. "Yeah, that's right. Everyone has their own class, from my understanding. And those that have similar classes likely have their own skillsets for those classes. I'm honestly not sure how the whole thing works or whatever but I understand my own class and that's enough for me. Hopefully that Poet class of yours comes into play at some point in the future. I'm sure that it'll be rather great to see in action." Honestly, Olliver would have said this much for anyone that is actively making use of their class. As for what his own tutorial was like? Recalling the very experience had caused the man to cringe a bit. Not because he was afraid of what was going on but because of the fact that he could honestly have completed it so much faster. "I.. suppose that you could say that my own experience was quite different from whatever it is that you have faced. While I am aware of what a Gundam is, I can't rightly say that any such creation appeared within my space. No.. In my situation, I, along with so many others, were teleported out to some forest. I'm honestly still not quite sure where it was that it was located. The end goal was to make it to the safe zone before the time ran out. In doing so however, we had to face off against various creatures of myth that continued to get in the way."

As Nubia would go on to accept the mission, Olliver would be sure to do so as well. Their mission was, just as Nubia had stated, going to be a rather interesting date to say in the least. The only real question that Olliver would even have for the time being would be whether or not Nubia would be able to effectively make use of her abilities whilst the two had found themselves in such a predicament. With her capabilities being what they were, he was certain that she could. There was truly only one way to find out though.

A short bout of laughter would escape from the mans lips at this point as he would draw forth his katana. In his mind, it was best to be prepared for anything. Whilst he might not be able to fight off everything in the way that he had wanted, due to his mostly being a pacifist, it was best to put this weapon of his to use. Thankfully the two wouldn't have to wait all that long before a couple of creatures would make their way from out of the surrounding woods. Dangling their feet off the edge of a branch about thirty feet away from them had been a couple of wood spirits!! These creatures had rather impish looks upon their faces as they would prepare to pounce themselves onto the two coming towards them.

"What in the hell..?" One of these spirits had chosen to take the direct route whilst jumping towards the sealed together duo. As for the other one though? It would simply draw back a miniature bow that it would use to send a dart of wood towards Olliver. Knowing that this was the most that he could hope for at the moment, Olliver would slash his katana into the air downwards. In doing so, the katana itself would thrum with a purple glow that would quite literally tear the space before them into some kind of astral rift. From there, the dart would find itself thrown into the rift and would be swallowed on up, thus sending the rift out of existence.

The more time that he had spent around her, the more interested Olliver would find himself in overseeing her progress as time went on. There was something truly fascinating about Nubia that always kept Olliver coming back for more. If she were to continue at the rate in which she had, Olliver was certain that she would find herself as one of the top rankers of this world.
