Andy had heard about the man who could buy and sell pets enough. Dee Dee had spoken about him before and if that wasn't enough Jeanne-Marie did a good job of selling him as well. It makes sense that he would know them both. Dee Dee has a veritable menagerie of pets. Jeanne-Marie was always keeping an eye out for tends and deals. It was time for them to finally meet.

Whether or not they knew it the girls had given him just what he needed. Andy had plans to start his own farm and a butchery as well. He'd need a guard and herding dog to protect his animals from whatever may come their way. A normal dog wouldn't make the cut nowadays. The only option was to find a special pet from someone with a specialized class.

To this end he contacted the so called Mr Beast and asked him to meet in Paris. Andy wasn't sure exactly what he was getting himself into, but he couldn't be that bad if the girls were vouching for him. While waiting for them at the cafe he ordered a coffee and an omelet.

Finally, the haze around the beast dissipated and Andy could see what it was. Before them was an enormous tiger. It may not have been exactly what he was looking for, but it was a great discovery nonetheless. It looked badly beaten now that he could get a good look at it. Was Argent fighting it for a while before they got there? Or maybe the two girls were stronger than he thought.

Regardless, between the combined attacks of Argent and Dee Dee, the tiger fell quickly after appeared. He was glad that the danger had passed and he could put away his bombs. If he was unlucky one of them could bring the cave down on them or block the entrance with an avalanche. Both are things that nobody would want. “I came out here to hunt. I wanted some rare [Ingredients] so Dee Dee and I came here. Looks like we stumbled upon you just in time.”

Andy chuckled and looked over the body of the tiger. “Speaking of... If you'll excuse me for a moment.” While walking over toward the tiger he summoned a large butcher's knife in his hand. After examining the body for some time he began to make large cuts around its neck to take off its head. “Anyone else want a piece of this?”

He didn't stop to wait for a response before continuing his cuts. This time Andy made a few around certain areas before grabbing at the skin and tearing it away from the meat. Once it was skinned he began the work he came here for. Getting meat. He swapped the cleaver in his hand with a smaller knife he'd brought with him. He then used to carve out the flesh of the beast.

He felt a bit bad for laughing after seeing Argent's response. “I'm sorry, but really it's not that bad. It's smart to bring something like that to protect you. Whatever it does.” After she complimented his sword he swung it a few times to give her a demonstration. With each swing dark red letters spelled out multisyllabic words like 'soliloquy'. “It is pretty nice. It's no X-Caliber though with all its effects. It can put out some pretty good damage though.”

Unfortunately Argent didn't seem to have any means to traverse the labyrinth except by force. It was kinda funny to think a treasure hunter just cut through most of her problems. Then Dee Dee piped up. “Oh great that'll make things a lot easier! Let's try to get this done quickly. Maybe we could do something else after this.”

It was then Andy noticed how mismatched she was dressed as well and chuckled. It was like they both were in a video game and putting on whatever clothing gave the best stats. It was a good strategy of course and he did the same. However, he managed to match by some stroke of luck. A black leather jacket and black slip-on shoes. Maybe the system liked him. The only thing that stood out was the rubber gloves on his hands.

Dee Dee then took the lead. She turned one direction then doubled back and went the other direction. “Interesting Skill. I'm sure it'll come in handy in a lot of other situations too.” As they continued on their way through the labyrinth they took various twists and turns, but didn't seem to be getting any closer to the center. “Even with this Skill it's hard to tell where we are. The center usually has something to mark it right? We should know it when we see it at least.”

After walking for a while more a loud hiss came from the next turn. Andy whispered over to the assassin in the group. “Argent you're stealthy, right? Could you see what that was?” Not that he wouldn't do it himself, but it was best to send the person best suited for the job.

After getting the first half of the Forge Key in Motor City all Andy needed to do was complete a mission in The Devil's Triangle. If it was anything like The Bermuda Triangle then he was sure to run into something weird. He didn't know what he was getting into so he made sure to send a message to someone he trusted to help him out.

Who better to help him out than Argent and Dee Dee? The two of them had known Andy since the very beginning of his journey. Things had changed quite a bit since then and in all honesty he couldn't wait to show the two of them how much stronger he'd gotten.

Andy waited for his partners by the portal that would bring them to their mission. During his wait, he could hear subtle whispers and see things in the corner of his eye. This place was creepy. He sat on a nearby rock and began to quickly slurp down his Jumbo Gumbo to pass the time. He could feel the warmth of the meal spreading through his body to strengthen it. Now he just had to meet his companions.

Andy couldn't help but laugh when he saw that Hana lost to her clone. It was tragic really. In a way he couldn't believe the judges allowed it to happen. “Sorry. Sorry. You're right. That's unfair. I-” Then Dee Dee memed on the other girl and he burst out laughing again. The only way this race could have ended better was if he had won.

He may not have gotten the big prize, but he got what he came here for and then some. Once Andy stopped laughing he looked over Dee Dee's Guidebook and whistled. “Impressive. Looks like you've put in quite a bit of work since we last talked. I like it. Good job Dee Dee.”

The man in the mask wasn't too friendly, but at least he wasn't cold. Andy assumed he meant him when they mentioned unexpected competition. “I'm not too sure I could be considered competition to you quite yet. You were pretty good out there. I'm just lucky the two of you did as much damage as you did. Seems like I still have quite a ways to go. 'Till next time everyone!” It was best to stay humble in front of a new friend.

Once the illusion was gone Andy could see Hana and Dee Dee's vehicle slowing down in front of him. It seemed like the man who they were talking about before was slowing down as well. Despite this, he still couldn't catch up to them.

If his vehicle had been going at its normal speed he could have used his ability to match their pace, but not having a license has its drawbacks. Andy could feel his energy being drained through the steering wheel as he drove. It was siphoning his Magic to fuel the vehicle and slowing down significantly to do so. He activated his Dash and Dine ability to try and offset the Speed debuff. At least it was something.

The popup for the third lap appeared and the landscape shifted once again. The guardian statues appeared not long after asking annoying questions. Luckily working in a hectic environment like a kitchen allowed him to keep his cool and think under pressure. Hopefully, the riddles would be easy enough that he could answer.

“The shorter I am, the bigger I am. What am I?” “A temper!” Andy took another egg and threw it at the statue. It crumbled away when the explosion hit its head. Looks like they were pretty weak if he answered correctly. Now he just had to deal with the others.

“I have three eyes, but cannot see. I command with each blink, but I cannot think. What am I?” “A traffic light!” A third egg dispatched another statue. Almost there. Just a few more.

“Reaching stiffly for the sky, I bare my fingers when it's cold. In warmth, I wear an emerald glove, and in between I dress in gold. What am I?” “What the hell that makes no sense!” “Wrong answer. A deciduous tree.” He still didn't understand what it meant. Andy quickly slammed on the brakes and hid behind the sphinx. He managed to avoid the large evergreen tree that appeared out of thin air thankfully by crossing behind the creature.

The statue looked back at his van and lifted a back paw. Again he wished he had one of the larger vehicles. He could just ram it and take it down. For now, he had to settle with throwing an egg bomb to knock the paw off its course. Andy then threw the last two bombs in his possession at the statue. It didn't take it down right off, but it distracted it enough for it to run straight into a wall it hadn't noticed during the fight. He quickly swerved to avoid it and laughed as he continued forward.

No sooner did Andy slay the rat in front of him than Hana piped up letting him know she took out another one. Most likely the one she threw into the air just moments before. The other rat next to him began to bolt and his companion spoke up again. He looked up to see what she was talking about, expecting another rat.

It certainly wasn't a rat.

Andy quickly ducked out of the way of the oncoming hammer. Had he been slower he may have gotten hit by it, but what was the use of bickering? She apologized anyway. Why spoil a good night? It was almost over anyways since Hana crushed the last rat.

Once the hammer was safely stored back in her inventory Andy walked over to her. “No need to be sorry. Everything turned out fine after all. I can see why you're a Guild Master.” He looked around to make sure nothing was hiding. “Looks like we're all done. Let's get out of here.”
