The door to the shop opened as Vanilla had been busy cleaning as the small woman looked up at the blonde man who had walked inside of her business. "Hello!" she said, offering a wave as she carefully set the broom down and hurried behind the counter by climbing over it. Said movement was easier described than done as the man was then subject to watch as this four foot woman flailed around trying to climb over a table. After landing (somewhat) on her two feet, Vanilla brushed herself off and smiled at the potential customer. "Ah, Welcome to the Spell Counter! I'm Nilla, the owner of the store. You're actually my first customer here, although I wish I could give something to you for it." She puffed her cheeks out in a frustrated pout for a few moments but exhaled and then went to motion to the small sign above her head. "Maybe in the future...Are you looking for anything specific?"He spoke about a pretty simple thing, just needing a couple of mystery box pulls. She nodded her head as her thick rimmed glasses slid down her nose. Dainty fingers fumbled to place them back onto their proper place as Vanilla looked back up at the customer. "That's something I can do, yes. 2 Mystery Box pulls should be simple enough." Her phone was pulled out and scrolling through the site store and looking to order Mystery Boxes as a proxy of the man. "That comes out to 200 points."nikolas

Vanilla stood in the fully renovated one room building, tucked neatly in the streets of Unison Center. The once derelict building had been found by the girl had seen far better days when she had found it, dusty, broken and somewhat in need of a deep cleaning. All it took was a week straight of moving boxes, breaking down rusted metal, running away from spiders and pulling cobwebs away from the corners of buildings, but this little hole in the wall was ready to go and serve as her little shop. While not explicitly experienced in running a store by herself as much as Ollie would be, it did excite her that this was her first step into realizing her dream of opening a business to help people. Sure it wasn't baking, but weapons and magic were certainly better than confectionary goods.
The quiet little shop was in need of things here and there, the bricks old and worn but still holding up strong, but Vanilla would sit and await the happy public to finally notice her. "It's not much so far, but it's a start." she said to herself, pushing a broom around the floor in an attempt to keep the floor clean. "I wonder if Ollie would have stuff in his store to furnish this place. Maybe a weapon rack or something might help."

[nospaces][googlefont=Roboto:400,700|Montserrat:200,400|Montserrat+Alternates:300|Open+Sans:400|Source+Sans+Pro:700] [attr="class","jeaContain"] [attr="class","jeaHeader"] [attr="class","jeaBody"] Vanilla's Spell Counter Located in a quaint little shop near Unison Center plaza lies The Spell Counter, owned by a short British woman named Vanilla. Her class has given her the ability to take away the bad and make it good! She's ready and willing to help any player become even stronger! [break][break] This post will always have the most recent updates on current services and prices. Simply post in the thread if you'd like to inquire about services or upgrades, and also feel free to simply hang out and interact with the owner and other customers. [break][break]
Enchanting:
Charming The [Charmed] tag allows the object to receive its own Anchor typing from all available types (besides Fragment), allowing for synergistic effects detailed below. Choose the Anchor type during your purchase or it will be randomized. The item also gains a slight mystical shimmer as a cosmetic effect. [120 Points per Item][break][break]
The [Charmed] tag will grant the any item an anchor of its own, providing synergistic effects. Items with an Anchor type that matches their user's Anchor will have the item's cooldowns lowered by [1] and duration raised by [1], when applicable. Armor and other protective items will have +1 rank when defending against the Anchor typing it is strong against, while weapons and other damaging equipment will similarly do +1 rank damage when attacking against the Anchor type weak to it. [break][break][break]
Advanced Charming Vanilla's next breakthrough in improving items will take any item she's [Charm]'d to the next level! One of the following tags is added to the item. [120 Points] Requires Item with a [Charm] Tag[break][break]
[Sanctified] - Items are blessed to protect and defend their users. Three times per thread, if the item's Anchor typing matches your own, you may substitute a stat of your choice when calculating your defense against one instance of incoming damage you defend against with it. This may only occur once within a single post. Additionally, once per thread you may choose to instantly end the effects of any single debuff that has been placed on you for a specific number of posts.[break][break]
[Hexed] - Items are filled with malevolent, cursed energy meant to debilitate their targets. Three times per thread, if the item's Anchor typing matches your own, you may add [piercing] to one instance of damage it applies, bypassing 25% of the target's DEF to strike VIT. This may only occur once within a single post. Additionally, once per thread you may choose to double the duration of any single debuff or continuing damage effect on a target.[break][break]
[Spellbound] - Items are overflowing with mystical power, allowing you to reduce the cooldown of its abilities and effects by one more turn in addition to the [Charmed] bonus, if the item's Anchor typing matches your own. This cannot reduce cooldowns below one turn. This ability can only be used three times per thread, and may only be used once within a single post. Additionally, once per thread you may choose to double the duration of any single buff currently affecting you.[break][break][break]
When [Charmed] items are Forged or Enchanted, the tag and Anchor type is transferred to the resulting item. If they were further upgraded with one of the three additional tags, that tag disappears, but the resulting item is guaranteed to be empowered in a similar manner. Forged or Enchanted items may be [Charmed], but not further upgraded.

Vanilla looked down at her bloodied hand as Tali was quick to jump into action. He plucked the knife for her quivering fingers, sticking it into the roof as she quietly sulked about the loss of a dear friend. It did improve her mood that he had offered some words of encouragement for her situation. But the pain filled tears continued to slide down her cheek as she stewed in the melting pot that was her inner thoughts. For as uncomfortable as it was to unload them on somebody, Vanilla felt better than before. The metaphorical ball had been released from the pressure of the water, free to float up and Bob along the waves. It was pushed back down as quickly when he'd rest his hand on her shoulder. "Ah-I'm okay." She said, shaking her head to Tali, clearly lying to him and herself. He pushed her button on Vanessa again, as the small girl frowned, her sense of guilt only rising through her body again. How could she make her worry like that? What if they had met again and Vanilla was truly gone? Gosh, she was acting like a proper arsehole for a change. Still, the girl just hid her face in her arms while Tali would make his vow to her. It was to tell Vanessa about how Vanilla thought about her should she be unable to from no longer being in the game. A thought that harrowed the girl to even think about it. The pain that she’d likely feel from learning about what would happen. "I just want to see her again…" she said through her muffled face, looking up to Tali. "I just…feel awful for being here instead of her. B-But she’d just call me silly for it again, tell me I should stop seeing myself negatively all the time…I miss that annoying way she’d leave the milk out of the fridge after she uses it too." Vanilla vented a little more, emptying the contents of her bottled up thoughts aloud. It all just sort of came out of her in word vomit form. No reason or rhyme, but just decompressing everything. After another few minutes, the pink haired merchant let out an exhausted sigh. Her bandaged hand held against the other. "S-Sorry. I don’t know where that all came from. I feel better now. I apologize for having to witness that." The bloodied hand fell to the platform she sat on before just experiencing the beauty of the forest they had wandered for what felt like the better half of two months. It wasn’t all bad here. Nothing was attacking them, and she was relatively happy with the work they had managed to accomplish. "Tali, can you…ugh, can you teach me how to be strong?" Vanilla asked. "If Vanessa comes back, ah-I don’t want her to worry about me anymore. And who better to know about strength than from a knight?"dantalion

Vanilla sat in the back of the truck, casting a look at the environment around them. It had been a pretty cool ride along with the other women in the party, and the little merchant was more than happy to be out exploring, at the very least. The new area hadn't been seen before, and it excited the girl at the prospect of doing something nobody has dared to trek. But it was something that needed to be done, even though the prospect of stepping foot into an unmarked area was a little intimidating for somebody who could barely fend for herself. It was relieved slightly by having the other girls in their little group together, although it was up in the air about what their abilities were. Hana and Natalaya were the first ones to get out, while Vanilla followed in their footsteps, planting herself on the ground beside them. "I've...never really went to the beach before." Vanilla admitted, looking down at the sand beneath her shoes while gazing at it as if transfixed on a certain little detail, the small woman looked back up at the others and began to walk along the dunes before them. Hana spoke up about signing everyone up for a mission about settling things here, which had caused the merchant to pin around (and nearly faceplant into the sand). "Yeah, I think we can do that. It could be fun, really...Ah, I'm not entirely...certain on how we should begin thought. There's so much to do."Her interest was piqued with Natalaya's mention of the dragons and monsters near, causing some amount of worry to accumulate. If this settlement was near some kind of powerful monster nest or something, would it be truly safe here? Splitting up did seem a tad risky, with her tiny little head going up and down. "I have to agree. Perhaps it would be better to pair up. Going it alone seems somewhat ill advised."Hana Sakuyuki@natalaya @noelle

To her luck, the women in the truck didn't point guns or weapons at her, or even try to kill her! In fact, the driver welcomed her into their little squad. This caused the English woman to beam at the other girls, doing her best to let her envy at their height and figure to go unnoticed (or at least as much as possible). There was a stoic, hooded woman that looked towards the rest of the girls there, likely figuring out who would go where on the truck. Not wanting to be too much of a hassle, Vanilla would look at the bed of the truck. "Ah-I don't mind sitting in the back, if it helps. I don't take up that much space anyway." The pink haired woman slowly climbed into the back of the vehicle while everyone else would get ready for themselves. "How did you find a working truck, anyway? these things are pretty rare from what I hear." Vanilla commented, stretching her legs out while scaling the side of the truck. It likely would have been a typical step over for any other person but that was a perk of being short. Every little hill was a mountain to conquer. Once everything got moving and they were on the road, the woman pushed her large glasses back up to the bridge of her nose. Come to think of it, the driver was pretty young. Like Vanilla looked like a quarter of her age but even then, she at least had a driver's license back home. "You can, ah, drive...Right?" Regardless of the answer, a free ride was a free ride. So the girl enjoyed her time with the others. When it came time to introduce herself, she'd beam at everyone present. "Vanilla, but Nilla's fine. And yes, that is my actual name. My mom's a bit weird with our names. I have a brother named Biscotti among others." she said, offering a smirk. "I'm an Enchanter searching for a place to open my store in the future. I've been all around to a couple different zones so far. Oh, and thank you for allowing me to come with you."Hana Sakuyuki Natalya Noelle

Vanilla graciously took the flask that was offered to her and took a quick drink before sitting down on an upturned rood right next to Tali as he told her about the Bastion and its people. It was a pretty thorough explanation, and while she did have some questions about some minute details, it was very clearly that Tali had a love of the people he grew up with and took his duties very seriously. She did have to wonder exactly when he had been taken timewise. Because how he spoke of it and more made it seem like Earth-chan had yoinked him out of the middle ages. "The Light?" Vanilla asked, quietly taking in all this information fed to her over the course of the conversation. So him and his group were training for an event, which then happened, and trained even harder in preparation? It did sound somewhat like some type of cult or a whacked out version of what had happened, but then it conflicted with how nice he was. Vanilla had some pretty bad preconceptions about his story, but would accept what she was told. A man from an order of the highest importance to combat some evil force. "That does sound very important. I hope you do find some way back to your home, and I'll try and keep an ear out for any way back there as well." She carefully moved to a little closer and offered a small hand to pat his back in an effort to show she had his intentions in mind. But his own question came to her. One she wasn't ready for. Vanilla chewed the inside of her cheek, but opened up after a moment of hesitation. "I was looking for somebody. Somebody close. Her name was Vanessa. Um, she worked at the maid cafe and got me the job there. Even helped me move in with our five roommates." She frowned, the knife in her hand spinning around while her eyes seemed much too heavy to be picked up from the ground. The red glassed drooped down her nose while Vanilla continued. "I think the worse part is that I never got to tell her how I felt about her. I just never really ever had the courage because I was afraid, but now she's just gone with everyone else I knew. A-And for whatever reason, Earth-chan chose me instead of her! She's smarter, braver, and able to do anything, buh-but I'm nothing compared to her! It's not fair! She should be here, not me! It's not fair for her! It's not fair that I never got to tell her I love..."It was by this time that Vanilla had noticed tears beginning to stream down her cheek, alongside the hand that was gripping the bladed edge of the knife to dribble a crimson ichor down her palm. She stopped to inhale a ragged, painful breath before wiping her eyes and just frowning to Dantalion. She wasn't in the best headspace for obvious reason, her bleeding heart out in the open as she quietly stewed in her bottled emotional outburst. "That's why I came to a risk area without knowing how to fight." Vanilla explain stoically, eyes going to the knife stained red as she gently embedded it inside of the tree. "Nobody knows me anyway. I've didn't have much to lose back home, but I managed to fuck that up as well..."dantalion

Ah, the sunny shores of California. It was her second time back here and already, Vanilla was interested to see what the rest of this place had in store. Despite the majority of people currently being blinked out of existence, the city was still a paradise for capitalism as ever. So of course, it had attracted the littlest aspiring business owner here more than ever. Vanilla was still a bit stumped on where to open her business at, having visited all sorts of places. Seoul had been pretty cool, all things considered, but Vanilla wasn't the biggest fan of the incident where a mecha had almost squished her. While a good story, she preferred to be human shaped instead of pancake shaped. She wandered around the streets of the city on her part sightseeing part looking at locations to open up shop at that weren't too far into enemy territory or in danger of being robbed. Grrr, things were a lot more annoying to do when you didn't have any sort of way of getting around this place faster. It was like that everywhere, with electronics and vehicles just flat out not working. So when Vanilla's ears heard the sound of a car being driven close by, her curiosity had been thrown into overdrive. Somebody had actually paid the amount of money to not get a car, not even find one, but to be able to turn on the engine for one?! That was almost a thousand points, and it was far more money than she had made in profit even just wandering around and doing odd jobs! The short woman skittered across the way to peak out at whoever was driving the vehicle as her eyes caught on three woman she had never met or seen before. They were all gathering inside of a beaten down looking truck that was at least functionable, all things considered. Thoughts ran amok in her head. She could seriously cover a lot more ground in that thing than walking the entire way. But were the group willing to put up with a fresh face? Time would certainly tell! But if she waited too long, this was going to be gone forever. So Vanilla summoned up her courage and ran towards the vehicle with her arms waving as high as could be. "W-Wait up!" The girl called out in an accent that was drenched in tea of being so English. She called out to the truck gang, who would look up to see a woman that couldn't be over 4'3" that was scurrying up with her hands up and trying to catch their attention. Once she was close enough, Vanilla would try and reason with them. "Ah-I'm not an enemy or armed. I'm just a merchant looking for a ride. I'm just trying to see around California and figured this might be easier than walking around. Would you guys mind if I came along?..."Hana SakuyukiNatalyaNoelle

The laugh that came from the blonde man's mouth had caused the woman's heart to sink. She blushed more at the action, cursing her bashfulness until he reassured her that the humor was not at her expense. They shared a similar act of not taking compliments well, the irony of which wasn't lost on Vanilla. She looked on for a moment before a wide grin stuck itself on her face. "Y-Yes. I guess you're right." The grin turned into a chuckle of her own, then laughter. She had a pretty funny little moment with the knight in this isolated forest, her attention turned away from the herbs they were sent out to pick as the two found common ground with one another. She went to cut at the final sample's roots to separate it from the base of a tree, the small woman a bit bummed that their adventure was reaching its conclusion. A misty walk with another man was something that she hadn't expected to grab her attention, but it was nice that Tali was proving her wrong. "Likewise. You're a wonderful partner for a mission, Tali." Vanilla chirped in her slight English accent. "Should you ever need my assistance again, or wish for me to help with equipment, just let me know with a message. Or if you ever need anybody to chat with again. I wouldn't mind getting away from my thoughts for a moment or so."With the final herb collected, they had two options available: either get some chatting time with one another or search for some extra herbs for brownie points. Either way, she was happy to continue to get to know the man a little better. "We can do either. If you want to search for more herbs, I'm ready to continue as long as we have something to talk about. It beats looking at my notes and trying to learn the ins and outs of a business." Vanilla offered, another laugh escaping her lips. Tali was a fairly interesting person, although Vanilla didn't quite understand his commentary about where he was from, The Bastion. She couldn't get if it was some type of gathering of people or cult or what have you. But he seemed nice enough, and he wasn't trying to go and recruit her for a change of pace. That idea nibbled at the back of her mind, having to disappoint people with a decision of her on. She fumbled with her glasses some and continued on with Tali. A thought entered her head, one that may have been just what she needed to go and learn about the Bastion. She did feel for the man, having been separated from his home with no current way back to. So maybe a little push for him to open up would be what he would want to hear? "Pardon my intrusiveness, but I was just curious. You spoke about Bastion before, but what exactly was it like there? Were you a knight sent to guard people there as well? Or was it just a place to call home for you?"dantalion

His words reached her ears as Vanilla's cheeks turned a bright red color. She fumbled over her words, defaulting to childish babble while Tali continued on with his words. It was a strange feeling to be called "cute" or adorable" for her, having been pint sized for the good majority of her life as a girl so far. It did make her feel some tinge of envy towards other people. But it had always caused her to diminish into a trembling mess at hearing herself being call that. Still, Vanilla understood that Tali wasn't exactly too experienced with getting compliments about his own self. She'd cover her blushing face by facing away and trying to sound somewhat unaffected. "I-It's alright. I was just making an o-observation. I'll try not to sound very, ah....observant."The topic changed to what she had wanted to do, the shop idea once again. She appreciated that Tali did show some kind of interest in her goals in this world turned asunder. "Some assistance would be nice while I'm still getting things set up. Thankfully it's not a totally lengthy process, at least not yet. Just points and draining of me of energy for ten minutes or so. Nothing I can't handle. Should the need for any kind of" she paused, smiling at the seasoned knight before her, "And a friend would be even better. It would be my honor to supply a han-ah, chivalrous knight such as yourself." she said in a more humorous tone, offering a grin while praying he wouldn't managed to figure out that little slip of hers as they walked along the forest ground once more. They stopped at the foot of a tree as Vanilla stood by, side eyeing the man to see if it was safe or not to proceed with cutting the roots of the flower here. Nothing that wanted to kill them just yet, so this was turning out to be pretty fine. She got to work with her knife. "So far, yes. I've met a lot of helpful people. I'll admit, I was skeptical of everybody when I first loaded in, but the few people I've met were nice. There's still a part of me that's anxious about new people, but I do try and keep a good mind towards everyone. It's a bit naive of me, but I do think that every person has their reasons for what they do, but they're good people at heart."dantalion

Hm, he was as keen as everybody else. Vanilla had gotten several offers to join guilds and things, and the thought of what any person may do if she had denied them or picked somebody else over them made her anxious to choose a place to settle down. While Try Hard was at least slightly understanding, she was still on edge from the earlier incident. Who was to say that they wouldn't strike out against her once she had made her choice public? Vanilla let out a soft hum of conflict, but would look back up to the man before her. The man who was currently towering over her puny body. "I hope it's not too much of a let down. I went from being an undesirable to being somebody who gets constant pressure from people. It's just a lot of things happening at once for me to get used to." The thought of which was enough to fill the girl with anxiety to the point of exploding. But she'd appreciate Try Hard understanding about her reservations. At least He understood he had the same shot as everybody else had at a useless girl with a powerful class. His pep talk about her confidence did make her look back down to the ground for a moment in self reflection. She wasn't exactly the most outgoing or optimistic person. Just a realist at heart. It was worked for an aspiring business owner. Everybody could fawn about what the future might hold and look forward to ideas and fantasies, but reality had a high benchmark of issueing out free check ups on individuals in need of a reminder of life. Vanilla frowned, her thoughts swirling around in her head again as the girl couldn't help her train of thought. If Vanessa was here and like her, she'd be more powerful than she was currently. More skilled, more wealthy, more skilled at business, more...everything! Her right hand slowly latched onto her left arm ouut of instinct as she continued to experience her life as a void. The only thing that had changed was having a useful trick now. That's all anybody really cared about. She cursed silently for not having a knife, a blade, something to distract herself with. But after a minute of stewing in her thoughts, she'd mutter out an apologetic, "I'll keep it in mind", in response to Try Hard and carry on. She followed alongside the man, walking across the scenic view of LA as Vanilla was curious about what the city had to offer here. "Do people still live in LA after the game started? How do people afford things anyway?" she asked, casting a puzzled look over to the man. "And where do you live at?"Try Hard

No monsters or things trying to kill them yet, so this was turning out to be a fairly normal mission all things considered. It was a bit strange walking along with a wild and rugged man such as Dantalion, and Vanilla did have to admit that he had a certain charm to him that was making her think of him as a sort of knight lacking a charge in the game. His commentary on her work before coming to the game made it almost sound noble. But in a way, she understood why he had that view. "I suppose that's a good way of viewing it. I can't say that I absolutely detested working there. You meet a lot of interesting customers." His second question did make her have to think on her answer given. Vanilla pursed her lips in thought and then exhaled. "It's complicated. there were some days that customers got too touchy, but typically we had staff present whose role it was to exclusively deal with them. Every maid had their own persona and...Ugh, it's embarrassing, I was supposed to be the cutesy maid. When I was taken for the game, I was coming home after work. I still have that stupid uniform." The tiny woman pouted at some memories from the café, but she did want to try and see the positive in her time there. Tali appeared somewhat quiet at her cute comment, as the girl did worry that she had upset him in some kind of way. He fumbled with himself for a short while until the man responded in turn. Now Vanilla did have to worry about trying to sound as if she hadn't been trying to make him uncomfortable. "W-Well, every knight requires a brave and noble steed to carry them into battle. I'm certain that your steed and weaponry are quite the sight to behold." A bit of an awkward silence, but she'd laugh a little to herself. Half out of embarrassment and half at imagining Talia on the back of a whining white, armor clad horse. She'd jump to begin to climb a tree before being stopped by him. The man took the duty of climbing onto the branch and severing the herb from the tree. Vanilla opened up the bag to catch their quarry inside and give him a thumbs up. "thanks. Word of advice, never be short. Everything becomes a hassle."Talia spoke on her ability to have confidence in herself in spite of the world around her. While not based on nothing, she could tell that he had experienced etched into every one of his words to her. But she struggled to view herself as anything that wasn't helpless. Every one of her roomies had experience for this kind of thing, and here she was, the least experienced out of any of them, currently wandering around freely. Still, it was sage advice. Vanilla couldn't say that she hadn't looked death in the face on many occasions. It was mainly how she had met Vanessa all those years ago. Vanessa had always said that she had been saved from paying for half of the rent, but the pink haired woman never told her exactly what she had saved her from. "It's wise advice." Vanilla said in a solemn tone, "Keep fighting until the bitter end, then fight some more. Some days are easier at following it than others, but I'll keep it in mind." She flashed a smile at Talia and moved on, pursing her lips at his beliefs for her future. While baking wasn't for forte, maybe it really was a stepping stone onto the next best thing. And she'd be lying if that wasn't the case. "I've actually started thinking about opening my own shop." Vanilla said, walking along with Talia, "My class isn't really geared for direct combat, as I said previously, but it's opened up some possibilities at being profitable. I can enchant things. Items, weapons, armor, anything really. I'm hoping that I can get good enough that my friends will hear about me and know I'm alright. I-If they're not..." Her talking faltered, as if the realization set in about the people she knew and cared about being long gone before she switched angles. "But anyway, ha...If you were ever interested, I could show you what I can enchant in the future. Anything to help a friend out...If you would consider me as such."dantalion

Well, at the very least, it was a nice gesture for her. The woman didn't find herself doing anything akin to what a rogue's job might have ben, but any weapons were certainly better than none. "It's a fine gesture, Ollie. I may not be a grandmother yet, but a weapon's a weapon after all." When he promised to reserve anything that would benefit her directly, she smiled at the gesture given to her. "I appreciate your offer. Of course, I'd be happy to pay any extra fees or what have you from the reservation. But if you ever find yourself in need of a little extra help or improving your own equipment, I would gladly offer my assistance in exchange for all that you've done for me." Call it a good business partnership. Two (mostly) independent merchants coming together to help one another. Of course, she was the farthest thing from being business savy from her inexperience with selling goods outside of scantily clad maids in a café, but at the very least, it was a start of things to come. At the mention of being kept safe, there was a strange feeling in her chest. It was appreciation for sure, but she felt almost liked and wanted. It was strange to really describe in full detail, and any attempts of trying to decipher it in full resulted in being frustrated. "You certainly know how to make somebody warm up to you." Vanilla mused, laughing to herself at Ollie as their little conversation continued. From the sound of it, nobody really had any clue as to what happened to the people that weren't with the rest of the player base. Could they be frozen in suspended time somewhere? Missing completely without so much as a trace of them remaining? It made her worry for the safety of her friends, but if she was powerless to do anything, was it right to just focus on something else? Vanilla internally felt guilt for even being here over anybody else. Thomas, Barry, even Vanessa all had way better rights to get to do stuff in here than her. Although she smiled at Ollie's words, she was far from feeling deserved in this world that she found herself in. Maybe it was why hearing that somebody had taken a liking to her was so weird? She shook her head free of any worries before turning her attention back to Ollie. It didn't seem to be any misunderstanding about what happened when somebody died here. No revival, no second chances, gone. Still, the tiny woman couldn't help but let her mind wander to the more macabre thoughts. It dug at her that she was here, although hopefully everyone else was somewhere in this game. Maybe they could meet up again. Maybe she could see Vanessa again. "I know. Death is still ever present here as it was back home. I promise I'll be extra careful for you." she gave her word to Ollie, her heel digging into the chair, "On a more lighter topic, I was wondering if you knew any good places I should visit just so I can get familiar with the zones and such. I know a good portion should be available, but I'd prefer to stay away from combat zones unless necessary."Ollie

Well, it was more than Vanilla gave herself credit for, at least. Try Hard at least believed in her enough to pull her own weight around in a mission or quest or whatever the game called them, but what actually did take her by surprise was that segway into asking her to join his little group, whatever that meant. She could see that he was really into his little proposal and had some amount of energy into hyping her up, but the tiny woman still was a bit on edge. This was only the third or fourth invitation to a group now. Maybe they saw something in her that she couldn't? Her brows furrowed, attempting to see just what kind of thing she could say to get out of this situation. Another person to tell she would be thinking them over, and another person that would hate her for her eventually decision. Once Try Hard had given her some kind of time, Vanilla would be able to speak. "S-Sorry! I'm just...I need time to think." she admitted, "I only just dropped in this world recently, and just learning about everything is making my head spin. I don't think I can answer you now, but I'll defnitely give your offer some thought." The brit said, attempting to smooth things over with the boy. "But for now, I'd love to tour around LA with you, Try Hard." she said, then looking down at her phone and remembering something. "I-If I may, I do have a request. That name you see on the phone, Vanilla. It's my actual name. Mom was a bit fancy with names for my siblings. Can you just call me Nilla?"Try Hard

Sure, a short woman sitting on top of a wall with a notepad in hand, talking to herself about locations for a shop wasn't exactly the most sane look for a girl, but Vanilla was (mostly) of a sound mind! She'd be jotting her thoughts down on the notepad while mumbling something about the distance between potential shop location and a boba tea seller when footsteps had caught her ear. She looked up from her notepad just in time to come face to face with another man in front of her. A man with dark brown hair had wandered closer to her while greeting her. She blinked, looking around to check and see if anybody was present besides her, then to look at him and point to herself. "Last time I checked, I was a miss." She joked, her accent dripping with afternoon tea time from how much the tiny Brit sounded. He freaked out a bit of her response as she only chuckled to herself. The notepad was set down on the wall while she took a long sip of her beverage and smirked. Her expression was genuine, if only a bit worn and worried. "No worries. Just a bit of fun is all. It's a pleasure to make your acquittance, Kai." she held a hand to her chest and took a deep bow. "I'm Nilla." she kept her name short part out of keeping things professional and masking her identity and part because of having to explain that yes, Vanilla was actually her legal name and no, she hadn't changed it herself. She let out a soft and gentle laugh at his little remark. "And don't worry. I've met a few people who go by their tags rather than names. As long as you have a name, that's good enough in my books." Vanilla smirked and sat on the wall, looking down at Kai. Since he was close enough in proximity, it became very evident that the woman in front of him was struggling in the height department. Had it not been for the wall pushing him above his head, Vanilla would have probably just stopped at the five foot mark cleanly. "I was just debating on locations to open my shop across the zones. I'm an aspiring merchant...kind of. It's rather difficult to explain." Vanilla said, adjusting her seat on the wall. "I don't sell weapons or items, but I can enchant them. Make them into something fierce. Or rather, more fierce than usual. I'm still learning exactly how much I can push myself as a new player." The small woman smiled before pushing herself off of the wall and standing before Kai. Their height difference was put on full display for him, as Vanilla brushed the dust from her behind and chest. "If you've got the points for it, I'd love to give you a sample of what i can offer. Although I do have to warn you: I can't control exactly what you'll get. Just that you'll get something. Of course, should you not want a little demonstration, I won't force you."Vanilla smiled up at Kai. "If you are, however, I'll require 150 points and the item you want enchanted."Kai
