Paris, the city of lights and love. It was a place that held a reputation for being the ultimate romantic getaway. A place that he had only ever visited for the purposes of business. And yet, now that the world had changed so vastly, a place that he was never expecting to be able to visit again. Thankfully Earth-Chan had been willing to put out a few things that worked quite well for the players. Or was this to be considered compensation for allowing monsters to evolve now?? 'Gods, I hope that is a one off thing. If all the monsters around here start to evolve, there is no telling just how horrifying the world could get.'

Olliver couldn't help but keep a firm eye on the gargoyles that had covered the rooftops as he had meandered about the streets. From what he had heard, these things had the possibility of coming to life whilst here. Honestly, the very thought of such a thing occurring was.. worrying. For some at least. For Olliver, it was more of something to keep an eye on just incase. Not that he had to be all that worried about it though. If anything had decided to come at him, whilst he had been exploring the city, he was sure that Dendar would take care of it.

Yes, you heard that correctly. Dendar, the fifteen foot horned serpent that Olliver had managed to tame via a love potion, was slithering through the streets of the city of love beside his master. If that wasn't explicitly ironic than Olliver wasn't sure what would be. "How are you liking the sights here, Dendar?? Is it something that you find to be interesting?? It's certainly different from New York." Even though the serpent had no real way of communicating in words, it would softly bob its head up and down in response, signifying the fact that it had indeed been enjoying the area. "I'm glad to hear it," the portly man would respond with a smile. "If this place sticks around than perhaps we can visit more often.. Just wish it was more than just the two of us here." He would then laugh to himself whilst pondering what it would have been like to visit this place in the past. For one that stepped foot into the city of love so often, he had never been here for that express purpose.

Ah, Paris. The city of love, romanticism and a sense of superiority over the over countries of Europe. Yet as Vanilla walked through the streets of the once grand capital, she couldn't help but feel a tad homesick. Her home in Britain hadn't exactly been the best socio or economic wise. Her roommates and her were almost always struggling in some way, shape or form. But there was a sense of how such little things she had grown to miss dearly ever since falling into this world. She sat with one arm inside of her cardigan the other held her phone. Her large glasses halfway down her face with both pupils staring at her status screen. It was hardly a productive use of her time, even as much as Vanilla so wanted the group DM to open up again. What the woman would have given to see a new message in the group chat, to see their names pop up again and ask where she was, if they wanted to hang and to just eat pizza do do normal stuff for a change. '...Merry Christmas, guys.'But Vanilla knew better than to believe in such a hope. A sniffle came from her nose. She wiped the tears on her sleeve for however many times she had done so and sat the phone down before just leaning back and debating on what to do. The brisk walk she had been out on had turned out to be somewhat troubled. The reminder of her situation had allowed a sense of lethargy to overtake her small form as the streets were as quiet as ever. Since the portal had opened, she willingly came to see Paris for the first time, and almost debated staying as crazy as it sounded. But Vanilla couldn't bring herself to do so out of some strange emotion she couldn't decipher. It was like exhaustion mixed with doubt and around six other motions. A hand hovered over her right arm as it clenched around the wrist out of habit. Vanilla cursed quietly to herself at being unable to shake this feeling from her head. It was why she kept herself busy or thinking of something. To push this dreadful thing away. 'No use in just sitting here. I should just find something to do.' She exhaled, picking herself up from the bench. Two feet touched the ground once more as their own gave way to their tour across Paris. It was somewhat hard to really shake this feeling in this empty town. While not entirely devoid of a populace, it no doubt was a shadow of its former beauty before Earth-chan had helped turn this place into yet another strange zone. It was only by her luck that she wasn't being chased by another kind of monster again. Vanilla didn't exactly trust the game to keep its rules consistent if things got boring, and for all she knew, this was just one big session of some entity having fun before getting bored with its game and throwing it away. She continued across the way, lost in her own thoughts while looking up at a path that had been overlooked by the resting stone gargoyles that were above. 'Good thing you guys don't seem to live human meat too much.' So meticulously carved, and terrifying to look at even from down below. Vanilla walked about with her head in the clouds, eyes glued to their distinct snouts and inhuman features. It reminded her of those creepy Halloween cookies that were all the rage when she was younger. At the spookiest time of year, everything in her family's café would be as terrifying as their tax record. Little bat cookies with devilish tails and that scent of pumpkin greeting you as you opened the door. Her mind lingered on thoughts from a time before she had came to Paris for the time being. With Vanilla distracted enough, she'd continue walking with her mind focusing on more delicious scents and smells until her journey came to a complete stop as she hit something and bounced onto the ground below her. Her frazzled hands moved to push up her oversized glasses at whatever she had managed to run into despite this entire place being mostly absent of people. "Sorry." she said, looking up to spot a man standing before her. His hair was a bit wild, the color reminding her of those day old caramel candies in the window from the richness of the brown color. A man that looked far from what one would have seen back before they had all ended up in this cruel game of sorts. But not too much thought went into him as the next thing her eyes picked up was the fifteen foot snake slithering behind him. She yelped in surprise and crawled backward, a look of fear present on her face while shaking to herself. "Ah-I didn't mean to run into you. I was just thinking about something."Ollie |

Having been a little too caught up in his conversation with his horned serpent himself, Olliver wouldn't notice that he had practically power walked directly through somebody. Before he had even realized it, a woman had been tossed to the ground by his recklessness. Realizing his mistake, Olliver would bend over and extend a hand out to the woman. Rather than accept it though, she would immediately back away. Had he.. truly been all that frightening of an individual?? This had never occurred before.. It was then that Dendar would loom over the pair, it's shadow being cast over both individuals. Having remembered that most people would be wary of a creature such as Dendar, Olliver had more or less understood the given situation now.

In hopes of rectifying his mistake, Olliver would continue to hold his hand out to the woman. It was then that he would catch a good look of her. She was perhaps a few inches shorter than he had been and had by far the most interesting appearance of those that he had met thus far. Wavy, peachy hair and golden eyes with a shade of amber and brown. Truly a spectacle to behold. "I... Wow. Erm..." Realizing that he had been at a loss for words for the first time since this Re:World thing began, Olliver would attempt to compose himself. After a short, awkward cough, he would offer the woman a soft smile. "I'm real sorry about that, ma'am. I wasn't paying all that much attention either." As he had continued to find himself inadvertently getting lost in her gaze, his discerning eye would find itself automatically activated. From the looks of things, she had been at around level one. A horrifying prospect.

If the woman before him would permit it, Olliver would grasp a hold of her hand and assist her off of the ground. If she hadn't felt all that inclined to grab his hand though, he would simply place it back at his side a bit awkwardly. "Can I.. Perhaps make this whole thing up to you??" Dawning upon the fact that she might still be afraid of his horned serpent, Olliver would use his spare hand to gesture back towards the creature. "You don't have to mind my companion by the way. I assure you that no harm will come to you at the hands of myself nor my serpent." Not that he could harm her here one way or another, without her express permission. This wasn't a PvP designated area, nor was it a DEZ area. Not that he was aware of anyways.

"My name is Olliver.. but you might have heard of me by another name?? Some around here," here referring to Europe, "know me as the Bronze Hawk. I uh.. I'm something of a merchant, I suppose you could say." The grouping of people that have and haven't heard of him was constantly fluctuation so he had no real basis for knowing just who was aware of him and who wasn't. The fact that this woman had been level one might also be a contributing factor as to why she might not have heard of him. Honestly, the temptation to probe her surface thoughts at this moment and see if she had heard of him was strong. Having a level of respect for this woman though, the man would simply keep that ability to himself. Either way, as Olliver had been introducing himself to the woman, Dendar would crouch beside him and bow his head to the woman as an apology.

Vanilla looked up at the man that she had bumped into. Her initial fear was that he would take offense at her mistake and do away with her by a variety of means. Burning alive, decapitation, anything was possible with this world that she had stumbled into. So when he raised his hand towards her, she flinched and anticipated an energy beam or some kind thing that would end her life in seconds. So when a few seconds passed and her head was still attached to her body, she slowly opened up an eye to look at his open hand. Confusion had set in as he apologized as well. So it had just been both of their faults then? The woman sat up and pushed her glasses up her face as she listened to the man inquire if he could make it up to her somehow, an act that didn't fall on deaf ears. Vanilla blinked but extended her hand until it fell within his own and gripped it. She allowed herself to be helped onto her feat as she guided herself onto her feet again and brushed the dirt from her cardigan and blouse. Now that she was standing up, he could tell very quickly that he towered over her, as the small woman was just about to his chin level. "Thank you." Vanilla offered him a timid smile, nodding her head to him as those large glasses bounced around her strawberry colored hair. She spent a moment fumbling with them again before looking back up at the man she had run into. The great serpent that had garnered the reaction that she had given it bowed its head to her, as if to apologize. Though the beast had sent chills down her spine, Vanilla did have to feel a bit bad about her first impression. Her attention turned towards the man's reptilian pet. "Sorry, I just...Had a bad experience with snakes when I first loaded in. Not a fun time. Sorry if I offended you," She would have likely tried to coax the creature had she not been a bit too hesitant that she offended the poor creature. Vanilla then turned back to him, her English accent all but noticeable. "The Bronze Hawk, hm?" she repeated, putting a finger to her chin. She tried to recall if the name or title had ever really passed through her head but not no avail. After a few seconds, she'd give an answer, "Sorry, but I've only just fell into this place. The name doesn't ring much of a bell. I'm Nilla, a sort of newcomer here. I've just been wandering around as of late. As for repayment, maybe not anything too luxurious. Some lunch or a coffee would do."Her hands idly messed with her bangs, looking at their surroundings for a moment with a questionable glance. "How long have you been a merchant for? With Vanilla having apologized to Dendar, the horned serpent had turned it's attention towards it's master. It had never really been apologized to before, aside from by Olliver himself. As such, it wasn't quite sure what to do. Noticing this, Olliver would laugh to himself a bit before responding to her in the serpent's stead. "He doesn't seem all that concerned about it. Accidents happen and you weren't exactly coming for my life, you know?? Besides.. I should have properly considered the fact that not everyone is used to seeing such things simply slithering through the streets." Reaching back to place a hand on Dendar's snoot, the merchant would softly pet his pet.

That much having been taken care of, Olliver would turn to the other matters at hand. He had managed to secure her name and the fact that she was indeed a new player. Not that he didn't know the latter as of yet. "It is good to see that there are new people loading in, as it goes. A bit worrying as well though. Guild's haven't been properly established yet and most people aren't quite sure what to do when they first arrive. Even the act of gearing up is a bit of a difficult concept for some. Hm.. I guess that we can talk it over during lunch!!" This'll be the first lunch that he has shared with anyone outside of Dendar since he had gone on that picnic with Nubia. Just where was she anyways..??

Realizing that there was a restaurant a few blocks away, Olliver would offer his arm to Nilla and begin to head off that way. He wouldn't expect her to allow him to escort her if she hadn't been comfortable with it. It had simply seemed like the gentlemanly thing to do. Either way, as the two had been heading out towards the restaurant, Olliver would speak a bit more on his disposition as a merchant. "Let's see.. I suppose that the easiest way to explain my role as a merchant is to start by saying that it is my primary class. Or well, Space Trader is anyways. My mere purpose in this newly refurbished world is to acquire items and pawn them off to the players. That last bit of information did take Vanilla by surprise. She arched an eyebrow out of curiosity. "People are still loading in? So everyone didn't just get snatched up and wake up all at once?" A bit of hope had begun to rise up in her tiny chest. If she was alive, then maybe it meant maybe some of her roomies had been out there already. There was a chance that she could meet up with everyone again! But then reality came crashing around. How was she even going to just find them without any leads? And how long had it been since this game started anyway? Would they even remember her if she did find them? So many thoughts went through her head again that the hope she had gathered was gone once more. She exhaled but went back to the moment at hand. Olliver had continued to walk with her along his arm while Vanilla rested beside him. The explanation was pretty summarized and Vanilla did have to admit that it did surprise her that he was so actively helping people. Most of the shop keepers from most of the RPGs she used to play always were so outrageous with prices and stock. So seeing a reasonable take was pretty rare. "Interesting. But I suppose it does make sense. This is only the first step. You want everyone to have an equal standing. But where do you get your items from? A shop can't just get stock from anywhere, especially if they're magical and extraordinary items."Now came the hard and most boring part! Vanilla, to her credit, did have a pretty troublesome past, but compared to what most people had went through? She was likely second or third fiddle to the "least interesting individual" champion. Her worries rose while her feet walked alongside Ollie's finally matching his pace as the two moved through the street together with his serpent behind them. "I apologize for however I may let you down, but my story isn't exactly exciting. Before I ended up here, I used to work at and help run a maid café in Britain. The owner wanted to copy something popular from overseas. I dreaded wearing those uniforms and it's even worse when you're the smallest on your staff." she said, though shaking her head to clear her mind and get back on track. "But I was saving up money to go to university for business. I wanted to open up a café since I was a kid. My family are bakers, it's kind of our thing. But I would just sit and watch my family make stuff and...I dunno, I was never good at it, but I always wanted to just create things. I'm not exactly smart enough to take apart a phone and put it back together, but still. Just making something's in my blood."A pause came as she fumbled to push her glasses back up the bridge of her nose. "A-Anyway, I remember coming home from work when I was taken. It was Christmas Eve and I was trying to get home for my roommates. I fell on the subway platform and the next thing I know, I'm rolling down a hill in the middle of some kind of monster nest area. As nice as it would have been if everyone had loaded in in that same instant, it simply wasn't the truth. Not from what he could gather anyways. People were still showing up with little to no knowledge of what had happened to the world and each one of them would start at level one. Presumably, much like Nilla here. It was unfortunate for some, admittedly. Those that had been searching for loved ones that they would likely never see again, until they had loaded in. "From what I've managed to gather, people started to load in sometime in twenty twenty two. Giant sinkholes had begun to open up across the Earth and monoliths would rise out, rewriting reality. There was only a 1 hour notice period before everything had gone to hell. Honestly, I still remember what it was like.. A horrifying event for many."

As for where he had managed to procure his stock?? Well that answer was a bit more complicated. "I suppose that you could say that I earn these things both through my class and on my own. In some instances, I simply stumble across items and toss them into my shop. Or are awarded them by the 'system'. For the most part though, I have a unique ability with my class. It allows for me to acquire items after completing dungeons and quests. Those items are items that I specifically am unable to use myself. I have to sell them, whether that be to a player or back to the system. I prefer to opt for selling to players though, for obvious reasons."

The time would come in which Nilla had briefed Olliver on her past. She had seemed to believe that her past was less than exciting. To a degree, he could understand where she was coming from. On the other side of that though, he could tell that she had become who she was as a person thanks to the various events that transpired within her life. No person was truly boring, no matter how much they wished to tell themselves that. "A café sounds really nice, you know?? If you'd allow me to do so, I would be fully open to assisting you in the matter. It might have been a bit more difficult in the past but now that the world has changed?? Well it's much simpler than you might think."

Maintaining his gaze upon her, Olliver would continue to smile. It was a softer smile this time though. One that he couldn't help but allow himself as he thought about how nice it would be to assist her with a few things. "Even if you discard the idea of a café and focus solely on creating other types of things, I'll be willing to assist. I'd just need to know a bit more of what you are currently capable of to get a decent idea of where to start." The fact that she had undergone such a tragic entrance to this world had also been a bit concerning. If anything, it would only endear him to her even further. "I know that it might not mean much, given that we just met, but I'm glad that you are safe now at least. Train tracks sound like a horrible way to go. Hell, falling into a monster's den sounds like an even worse way to go. But still, you are here. And that's what's important."

The pair would begin to arrive at the restaurant that they had been aiming for. It was known as Crêperie Gigi and thankfully had outdoor seating. "If you'd like, we can go over this class of yours and see just what kinds of things you are capable of. An enchanting class could be rather useful, depending on what it allows you to do." Olliver would proceed to pull out a chair for Nilla, hoping to assist her in taking her seat, before he would move over to take his own. Once he had sat across from her, a young waitress would come over to them and begin to take their old. She would mention that the chef held the Chef class and that this was one of the best places to be at the moment for fine dining. Naturally, Olliver would order some of the most refined things that he could find. Additionally, in order to make up for his blunder of bumping into Nilla earlier, he would be sure to order a few things for her on the side. Namely: a box of chocolates and rockcandy confetti pop.

It did sort of stand to figure that Olliver would be able to find stock by his own means. Be it buying them or stumbling upon them himself, she did have to wonder just what constituted treasure in this world. By his own definition, they had to have magical properties, but did he sell keys or some other miscellaneous things like an actual shopkeeper? How intriguing! Vanilla had to admit that his power seemed a lot cooler than the first impression. Lots of things to get when he'd finish a dungeon would make for an easy way of restocking his store, and there was also a pretty active incentive for people to buy from him. It gave her an idea. Sure, she wasn't much of an adventurer but maybe that business degree would come in handy here? There was a clear market for cafes or even shops. But that did raise the question. Was she going to just give up the search for her friends to just open a store somewhere? Decisions, decisions. Vanilla kept her thoughts to herself for now but returned to their conversation. "That's a fairly nifty ability. I imagine most people would want you for getting treasure then."But what took her by surprise was the clear offer to assist her in opening a café here in this new world. "You'd actually help me without knowing who I am? I could be some kind of thief or a murderer!" By all accounts, Ollie probably could tell the woman was neither. her biggest struggle from a existential standpoint appeared to be choosing a take out restaurant to order from rather than taking a life. "I appreciate your concern and assistance though. Any help would be quite valued." It wasn't a terrible sort of deal. She'd be able to get on her feet and start something, but she did have to wonder why exactly he had wanted to help her. It could have been for the good in his heart, but Vanilla knew that those types of people only really existed in those manga pages she binge read in between classes. They arrived at a local café a short while later. She did find herself charmed by the décor and food here. Her seat was so graciously pulled back by Ollie as she'd smile and sit down before scooting in. It was a tad embarrassing to have to look up so awkwardly to speak with another person, but Vanilla was comforted that he appeared so genuine. She even started warming up to his pet snake a little. They both ordered, with Vanilla thanking Olliver time and time again for his extra goodies as an apology for bumping into her. As they waited for the food to finish, she'd show her phone to the other man and display her own status and class for him to see. Some short time later, Vanilla would be learning more about the Enchanter class from her phone and Olliver. It had been a wealth of information that she just never really discovered until now. "Hm, perhaps I should have dug a bit deeper into my phone when I got here. I'd know much more about this than I did then." It had been a pretty fruitful investigation into her abilities here. She raised the fruity drink to her lips to take a long, introspective sip before continuing on. "So if what I understand is correct, then I can make any item better than it was before? And similar to your own powers, I can control what's inside of a chest? Then It certainly seems like I'm not much of a person meant for the battlefield, rather more formidable in what I can do to other peoples' belongings." Vanilla mused on this for a while, staring at the screen as feeling swelled inside of her seeing the addition of more power being unlocked at a certain rank. Was it drive? Aspiration? A feeling that she desired to improve upon herself that had been all but lost? Her siblings might have been better at her in the world of baking, but being an Enchanter? That was what she would use to stand out. And if she was well known enough, would any of her roomies come and find her if word spread out? That was her best real benefit and thing that would help the most. She smiled, looking up to Olliver. "I think I know what I wish to do. If I can get better with this class, then I can get out to more people, and find my friends. But I don't think I can do it on my own...Would you still offer you assistance?"Ollie |

It would be nice if people had wanted him for much of anything, honestly, but most people weren't aware of what he was capable of. And even if they were, it wasn't as though he was about to give out items without having people pay for them. "You would think as much, right?? Unfortunately there aren't many people that actively come to my shop or request much of anything from me. To their own disbenefit, I'm sure." As for his offer of assistance to her?? Well he quite frankly didn't care who she was in the past. Who someone was back before the light had touched this world and who they were now were vastly different things. Even in the sake of murder, who was he to judge?? Everyone had varying circumstances that changed the course of their lives. If they were ever to be pushed to the point of committing such an act?? Well it was quite likely that there were things that led up to it. That's nothing he can hold against them. "I know how this might come across, Nilla, but even if you were something akin to a murderer... Do you really think that you could take me on?" He hadn't quite meant for it to come across as a threat but in all actuality, Olliver could wipe the floor with her. Especially at the level that she currently was.

Hoping to try and pull the conversation away from a possible looming threat, Olliver would offer her a toothy grin. "Besides, I full-heartedly believe that assisting you in growing is the best thing that I can do. Not only does it ensure that I have a future customer but perhaps even a friend?? Well, that and the fact that I wouldn't dare to deprive the world of such beauty." He would proceed to laugh to himself a bit as the conversation would die off and the two would continue walking.

Once Vanilla had offered him her phone, Olliver would carefully take it from her hand. He couldn't believe that she was so freely sharing such information with him, even if he had offered to assist her. It was a dangerous move, depending on the company, so at least this showed that she had trusted him to a degree. Either that or she was gullible as all hell. He had hoped for her sake that it was merely the former. "Let's see here.. The abilities that you seem to have thus far are admittedly quite favorable in a world such as this. I know that I'd sure love to be able to pick the items that I receive from my chests~"

The more that he would read about this Enchanter class of hers, the more interested in her he would find himself. If the two of them had teamed up.. They would very easily corner the entirety of the market. Especially if they added Nikolas in the mix. "I must admit that you have far exceeded my expectations. This class is absolutely wonderful. The fact that you can even go as far as creating items from mundane objects is astounding. Just thinking about it is giving me all kinds of ideas for items that I could sell." It wouldn't take all that much longer for their waitress to come back and hand them their food and drinks. Apparently it was much easier to create food and the like when your class is focused solely on that fact.

It was a fascinating read with Olliver to understand more about her class. Vanilla did have to wonder just how safe it was entrusting quite literally all of her information to a man she barely knew and just agreed to help her, but in her naïve eyes, it seemed like the best way to get a straight answer from this guy. "Chests do sound nice. Even better when you can choose what will be inside of them." she mused, smirking at Olliver while kicking her feet around beneath the seat. She brought her legs in the seat with her for the moment and leaned forward to look over her class information with the man. She did find herself feel somewhat proud of her selection back when she first came here. It looked like hitting random buttons out of your control had paid off for her. Just as fast as they put in the order, their food had come for the both of them. Vanilla had quickly gotten into eating her portion, bitng into the most delicious dishes that Paris could offer. This place had certainly been worth its weight in both price and quality. Was this what eating like one of those five star restaurants back home was like? Maybe she was in the wrong business! "I do have to wonder, about the class, I mean." Vanilla began, wiping her mouth free of residue and crumbs before taking another bite, "I haven't actually used it yet. So how does that power work anyway? I need to learn more about it if I'm to use it effectively. Much like Nilla, Olliver would proceed to dig into his meal as well. It was exceedingly delicious in his opinion, which would likely go to show their vast experience in the field. Either that or this mans class had been advanced enough in this regard. After a few more bits of his food, and having washed that food down with the wine, Olliver would speak up to answer her questions. "Erm.. Well if you are hoping to advance your class than it is best to level up. I would personally recommend throwing your stat points into your magic and willpower stats but it's ultimately up to you. That's the route that I ended up going down and things worked out well enough for me. And even for yourself, I am sure that those are what will come most in handy for your enchantments."

The merchant would proceed to take another couple of bites of his food before continuing on. "Especially if you consider the fact that your enchantments are likely to be based off of how much magic you are outputting to the items that you are essentially creating. Honestly, I'm tempted to request an item from you here and now. Both to allow you to test out these abilities of yours and of course to acquire a new item for myself." The thought was tempting but not something that he could quite afford at the moment. Perhaps in the future.

"That reminds me actually.. In the coming month, if you'd like, I could take you with me to the forge. I have my own ways of getting there but I can't quite make use of that method for a little bit. If you decide to accompany me there, we could collaborate on a few things. Enchant a few items, fuse them together, and then get them appraised. It would be quite the experience for the both of us, I'm sure."

All of this would ultimately depend on how comfortable Nilla was with Olliver though. Hopefully he could earn her trust over the course of time and convince her to come with him during that specific outing. "If you'd like, I'd be willing to undertake a few missions with you here and there. It would allow for me to keep you safe and help you with advancing your class. I'm pretty excited to see what kind of subclass you unlock as well so this all works out on my end~"

It was a good point. Her magic would definitely be pulling from that magic stat of her, and it was entirely possible that pumping it as full as it could go would no doubt increase the effectiveness of her abilities with it. She shoveled a large piece of her meal into her mouth while mulling over Olliver's advice for improving her skillset. After washing her pallet down with some wine, she'd find herself interested in his comment about wanting to use her for a kind of test of her abilities. Vanilla leaned forward and took her phone from the table, glancing back down at the screen before pushing up her glasses again. "Let's do it." she said with a motivated expression, "If you've got a weapon or something on you right now, I want to test out what I can do? No time like the present...Unless you don't have it on you." Surely a merchant would have a way of getting that thing he wanted her to take a crack at, right? The talk of the forge did interest her greatly, as she sat and listened to the description of the thing? The area? Whatever The Forge was. By the sound of it, it looked to be one of Olliver's go to places to make weapons or anything he desired. So it would probably be in her best interests to visit there sometime soon and discover what could be done there. "Fascinating. I'd love to travel there with you one day that you're able. Seeing as how I'm not exactly employed any longer, I would say my schedule is free most of the week." Vanilla joked but appeared in good spirits since stumbling across Ollie and his little pet snake. Good thing that he wasn't the type to just up and kill people. Or at least that she knew of currently! But so far, they were getting it off well enough! "I'm not entirely sure I can offer much support in a mission alongside you, but I would be happy to do so." The small woman said, wiping her mouth on her napkin as she had concluded in the main course, though still working on the glass of wine. She hadn't really been much of somebody to partake in it although if it tasted good, she'd eat mostly anything. "Your assistance in this matter would be much appreciated. If anything, he could certainly say that he was interested in this armament function of hers as well. "Yeah?? Well then let's see how you do with this." He would proceed to reach into his inventory before pulling out a pair of knitting needle shaped knives. Once they were removed, he would set them down on the table in front of them. "These are known as granny’s choice. They have the capacity to deal your [PWR] stat in damage, up to about A-Rank. You can try it out on the ground or something... Vanilla looked at the two weapons handed to her. Well, at least she was pretty sure that they were weapons. Ollie handed her a pair of knitting needles but like knives or daggers. They did interest her as her hands gently rubbed against the blade. The name made her laugh at the strange name. The fearsome blades known as Granny's Choice. "How ironic. A lovely name for a pair of lovely blades." Vanilla's fingers drilled on the rim of the weapon, pressing her thumb against the tip as she'd listen to the explanation behind the weapon. While not entirely magic based, it did feel nice to have a way of defending herself. "How extraordinary." he hands picked up the handles of the knives and moved away from the table. She moved around in phantom stabbing motions but would seem to be having a fun time with herself. "Now's probably a bad time to mention that I haven't had any self defense training. But how hard could using knives you? You just stab, right?" She laughed to herself again before she had ended her fun and set them back onto the table. It did warm her heart that she was helping Olliver out somehow by just simply talking. Maybe things were different when you were a proper height and had bulging muscle behind you, but it would be hard for her to ever really consider herself able enough to defend from anything that might pose a threat. But maybe when she had been in the game for as long as him, she'd understand. Maybe she could find something to make her grow a couple of inches! "Well...I'm just happy to help, I guess." she smiled, leaning back into her chair, "You say that like you've been on a thousand and one adventures already. Maybe if I had loaded in sooner, we could have gone on such a venture together." Vanilla mused, taking a long sip of her wine glass to finish it off finally.
