Well, at the very least, it was a nice gesture for her. The woman didn't find herself doing anything akin to what a rogue's job might have ben, but any weapons were certainly better than none. "It's a fine gesture, Ollie. I may not be a grandmother yet, but a weapon's a weapon after all." When he promised to reserve anything that would benefit her directly, she smiled at the gesture given to her. "I appreciate your offer. Of course, I'd be happy to pay any extra fees or what have you from the reservation. But if you ever find yourself in need of a little extra help or improving your own equipment, I would gladly offer my assistance in exchange for all that you've done for me." Call it a good business partnership. Two (mostly) independent merchants coming together to help one another. Of course, she was the farthest thing from being business savy from her inexperience with selling goods outside of scantily clad maids in a café, but at the very least, it was a start of things to come. At the mention of being kept safe, there was a strange feeling in her chest. It was appreciation for sure, but she felt almost liked and wanted. It was strange to really describe in full detail, and any attempts of trying to decipher it in full resulted in being frustrated.
"You certainly know how to make somebody warm up to you." Vanilla mused, laughing to herself at Ollie as their little conversation continued. From the sound of it, nobody really had any clue as to what happened to the people that weren't with the rest of the player base. Could they be frozen in suspended time somewhere? Missing completely without so much as a trace of them remaining? It made her worry for the safety of her friends, but if she was powerless to do anything, was it right to just focus on something else? Vanilla internally felt guilt for even being here over anybody else. Thomas, Barry, even Vanessa all had way better rights to get to do stuff in here than her. Although she smiled at Ollie's words, she was far from feeling deserved in this world that she found herself in. Maybe it was why hearing that somebody had taken a liking to her was so weird? She shook her head free of any worries before turning her attention back to Ollie.
It didn't seem to be any misunderstanding about what happened when somebody died here. No revival, no second chances, gone. Still, the tiny woman couldn't help but let her mind wander to the more macabre thoughts. It dug at her that she was here, although hopefully everyone else was somewhere in this game. Maybe they could meet up again. Maybe she could see Vanessa again.
"I know. Death is still ever present here as it was back home. I promise I'll be extra careful for you." she gave her word to Ollie, her heel digging into the chair, "On a more lighter topic, I was wondering if you knew any good places I should visit just so I can get familiar with the zones and such. I know a good portion should be available, but I'd prefer to stay away from combat zones unless necessary."
