“So this is the shop with the second most handsome man on the continent. Not a bad place to be.” Emir would say to himself softly, as he strutted into the place like he owned it. Which in his head he did. Anything Nik had was his and vice versa. Emir trusted him more than he trusted anyone he was related to by blood. The night chaser believed it would insult their bond to not be comfy in his situations place of business.[break][break]
He looked around and figured he could find what Nik invited him over. Emir walke behind the counter and would ignore any of the other shop patrons. They were not worth the effort for him to look at. Scrambling around and making a mess Emir would find an item in a box with his name on it. At first he would assume it was a wedding ring. His heart would speed up as color would enter his face. They had a thing but Emir just thought they could be considered dating or friends with benefits. He was still too young for things like marriage and settling down. He opened it up to find a rock that looked like a kidney stone. He was confused as to if he should be happy or disappointed.[break][break]
It looked nice enough and Emir was happy, since it was from Nik. He would put it in his pocket. Leaving a note for Nik who was probably busy with some stuff. Emir was fine chilling for a moment. He talked himself into being calm and he had no reason to rush. It was not until he got his mission partner that he made a face. The dude was good looking. It was not Emir’s fault he had a weakness for pretty faces. He could not react but gave a thumbs up. His thoughts were on how Allah took extra time with this one. His mouth was a bit faster. “Yep! Pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Emir Nebu. I guess I am your partner for this mission.” He sent a party invite through the system.[break][break]
The Night Chaser raised his eyebrow. Coming across a music based class was not surprising. Someone that claimed themselves as a support type was uncommon. It was a concept that Emir found intriguing. Till he second guessed himself and just believed the man meant he leaned more towards supporting. He had not seen any class without an offense or defensive ability yet. The man was a real cutie but his instinct said straight, not the GOP bathhouse kind, but genuinely no interest in other dudes. That and he was pretty happy with Nik and whatever that whole situation was. “I guess we can get this show on the road.” Emir’s lexicon was rapidly expanding with all the cool vernaculars.[break][break]

The Night Chaser was back. He was glad to make a few more purchases in the shop. He could not wait to get his hands on the map pieces. He pursued the shop to find the map pieces. His disappointment was large. He could not find any of the needed parts. He figured they must be out.

Emir watched with a satisfied smile on his face as he saw Nikolas getting ready. It was a peaceful and beautiful view. No less than the sunrise or any work Michalangelo could hope to capture. If Emir was aware of his own feelings and was a bit more poetic. He would have written verses that could impress Shakespeare.

He was so distracted getting lost in the thoughts he had about Nik. It took his mind a few seconds to process the question that was asked. “Uhhm…. The place I am going to have drinks. First I should ask you something. Truthfully, I have taken over the guild I was in as the leader. I have a new guild base and even some people in the guild or joining it. I was going to ask if you wanted to be one of them. The place I was taking you to was going to be the base in question. Emir munched on some snacks as he relaxed. It was his first time visiting good old Neo-Tokyo. It was as dangerous as the people said. Emir had manipulated his dark sand to cover his body. He stealthed himself to avoid trouble. It did not work on the snacks well but it was not like most of the monsters even cared about the weird sight. The ones that did were dispatched quickly. It was not even needed. The area he was in was not devoid of life and was pretty busy. The only reason he remained as such was out of habit. It was easier when he was exploring alone to do so in stealth mode.[break][break]
The Night Chaser was going by a more sparsely populated area when he got a mission alert. He accepted it. The man had some free time. He needed to find talent for his guild. Anyone with a sense of talent could be found in the most dangerous zones. Only the slow witted would play it safe all the time. Not to say that the safe zones lacked top rankers. It was just the fact that most of them were niche, belonged to a force, or was what Emir was looking for. The general vibe was off for all of them.[break][break]
The HUD started giving him an alert. The mission details paired him with a random partner. Emir was surprised because he did not remember seeing that as a part of a requirement to take part in it. He un-stealthed himself in surprise and swore. The system was getting too in depth when it came to tricks like this. Emir would have accepted the mission even if it did not. This was not his first random party mission. Emir waited in a designated area. Wondering what his party member was going to be like.[break][break]

“Nice! I am happy to have you. Welcome to Elite!” Emir took a moment to give Summer a guild welcome. He opened the interface to make it more formal. Not wanting to waste time on the small details. He was just excited to have another member to his guild. Pori would have been first choice since the guild was originally hers. Since the little vegetable handed it over to him. It meant that it was his to do as he pleased. He took the guild and had to run with it. She was important but did not count as a guild mate.[break][break]
Emir would wait a moment for Summer to accept before continuing. “Anyway. This statue is a high ranking treasure. It was rumored to be able to function as an access port for a guild hall. Since you are a part of the guild you are privy to knowing this info. The mission would have been completed now otherwise and you would have had to leave. You can stay and check out our new home.” The night chaser would put his Gor Medallon into the groove on the statue.”[break][break]
The statue started to glow. The light started to build till it became blinding. Emir averted his gaze to let it pass. When it stopped the statue was in the shape of Pori’s slime form. An alert was made to the region signifying the Everest region as the guild Elite’s new area of work. It also created a magic circle to the castle, instead of a regular door. They got a magic circle with the guild symbol etched on it. When a guild member stepped on it. Their specific color would glow before sending them to their room or other specific area.[break][break]
Emir was enjoying the site of the magical castle that was now their home. “I hope you don’t mind. You can put Pori down. Now that I have found the place. I need to gather the rest of us. You can feel free to come with me, or see what this place has to offer.”[break][break]

Emir narrowed his eyes after the rest of his team attacked and took down the boss. He was unsure that all the damage should have been enough to take down the boss like that. Summer was more of a defensive nature, and Malorie was a mascot. Great for encouragement but damage capabilities were on the meh side. He had a vague idea of what he could do but even he did not go all out.[break][break]
The nightwalker moved closer to the falling boss and felt a new presence. He was not used to the armor he was wearing so sometimes he tended to miss stuff. Another blade presented itself on his leg. Emir stood up and kicked out with the leg. The blade shot out and flew towards a target. It missed but Emir was sure someone was here.[break][break]
“I know where you are. That was a warning shot. Reveal yourself or the next blast will be aiming for your life.” Emir’s eyes narrowed as he glared at the hidden figure.[break][break]

Emir was feeling pretty chill. Things were all falling into place for him. His guild was pretty much started, just missing some formalities. He looked hot, was in good health, and was one of the most powerful people around. It was hard being someone as awesome as him. It was just a shame the whole world was not aware about how cool he was. The shame of it was almost too much to bear. Anyway he accepted an invite to slay a lizard because he had time. He invited Summer because being around her made his life a lot easier.[break][break]
“Oh, we are doing this already? Guess I will put some effort in.” Emir sighed as he made some hand seals. Multiple copies of him popped up. “I have always wanted to use the shadow clone jutsu.” Most of them started crisscrossing towards the large dino, lizard, whatever it was, except one. Emir was impressed that Mal could use the arrow successfully, as he traveled. It was like watching a dog do calculus, or Nikolas when they first had to fight to live. Using his cape he flew into the air in case it had a breath attack, then came down on the neck like he was an attack on titan character.[break][break]
Emir was blasted away from impact. He managed to nick the beast. The Night Chaser was not expecting the reflective damage back onto him. He used his cloak to right himself midair and lashed out with a kick. A kick from his leg that had grown a large black blade from it. Chaining his active stuff came with practice. A flurry of attacks from him was a specialty. “See if you can throw this back!” Emir was laughing as he dished out his damage. The darkness enhanced blade cutting into the skin. It was going to turn his head but it being immobilized meant it was an easy target to bully. A clone smacked it in the snout, before Emir took another to return to Summer.[break][break]
The Night Chaser was breathing hard. His ability to maintain his speed was hampered by his weak body. He could go all out for a moment but would start to feel the effects a bit. He made a mental note not to invest in the vitality stat. Maybe he could start to do more damage if he did. What was impressive was the fact that the beast was still standing. Even if it was heavily injured.[break][break]

Emir used me and my shadow, death dance, a basic weapon attack from his cursed blade. Damage from the Blade was A rank, Damage from death dance was 2 A ranks, damage from shadow was another A rank. The first damage was to get rid of the remaining defense value. The rest was going straight to the vitality so three A ranks.[break][break]
Emir was got hit with the recoil from the passive of the boss. The D rank damage was absorbed by his armor value. Leaving him unhurt. He also used the same armor to fly this post.

Emir did not pay it much attention. Several different hoards of monsters kept showing up. The Dark chaser was treating them like an afterthought. Their dead bodies piling up and increasing the stench inside the air. It was a horrible way to move forward. Like moving through a room full of swamp butt. The stench of which increased the more they climbed.[break][break]
“So tell me about yourself. I am a bit bored and could use an interesting conversation.” On the last word Emir took a deep breath, then exhaled it as if he was a dragon. The breath attack rippled out as a 3-meter wide beam up 30 meters away. Leaving a trail of devastation as if acid was poured through a paper towel. “Sorry. That stench was bothering me. At least there is not as much of it now.”[break][break]
The night chaser was unaware of the fact that his culling attack had hit the poor rotting lich. It injured it critically, the lich was to die if it did not act fast. It did not like the way Emir had attacked. It summoned five rotten soldiers and sent a green energy blast at the caramel king.[break][break]

Emir was listening to any clues of the shield girl working in a group. He was starting to feel better from his injuries as well. It was a great booster to his mood. Emir was starting to feel like he could take on a dragon for fun. It was an interesting feeling to note the increased healing factor of his own body.[break][break]
His attention was grabbed at her mention of Santa. Emir thought her name sounded familiar when she talked about the first boss, it was able to click in his mind. Summer was one of the people who got the first clear for it. It was an accomplishment that stood out to him. When she said it his thoughts were on recruiting her full stop. This was the kind of Elite person that he wanted to be on his side. If he got her that would make three members of the guild already.[break][break]
“I have some plans. One is finding this base I heard about. If it works I am going to reopen my guild for recruitment. It would be a small thing for no more than six people. Emir was skeptical at best. Still it was her life. If she died Emir would give her a good funeral. It was the least he could do. In fact he knew someone with a graveyard class. It was only slightly creepy but the price for a plot was fairly reasonable. She could rest easily.
Thinking deeper about it. Emir pulled out an arrow with a heart shaped tip. “Check this out. It may be useful enough to you. You can use it and just return it to me later.” Emir would attempt to pass the arrow on to her. If she could use it and take it. That would be fine. If not, Emir would get it back from her later.[break][break]
The first step into the tower made Emir want to puke. The smell was horrid. The Night Chaser spent a lot of time around death. He could summon slain foes to do his bidding for a bit. He just never had to deal with something that smelled so rancid. A bunch of bees started flying towards his direction as soon as he entered. Emir held up his wrist and simply snapped his fingers. Dark motes gathered in the air and pulsed outward. Taking the lives of the small swarm.[break][break]

Emir was going to take another step when he received a notification from the system. His basic abilities as well as his core had actually evolved with the addition of a few experience points. He was a lot stronger all of a sudden. Which was weird since he did not raise his level.[break][break]

Emir was feeling the effects of his recent training session on the island. It was always nice to get the free experience from hunting. It was a nice habit to get into. He washed himself in the river and his eyes caught sight of a strange hut. Emir was calm as he walked towards it to check it out.
The view of various items was given to him. There were eggs and all other kinds of things with various price tags. The main thing to catch his attention was a golden bottle. It had a brew in it that reminded Emir of the high class whiskey he would sneak. He was not sure of the effects but brought it anyway.
When it was brought he would walk out chugging it. It gave him a drunken feeling but was also highly refreshing.

ITEMS {Spoiler}shroud of midnight - A dark purplish shroud of silk that can magically extinguish any light 15 feet in diameter, up to 30 feet away from you for a single post every three posts. This shroud can protect up to a single instance of damage equal to your [DEF] or less once per turn. While equipped you gain +20% [MAGI].
wand of hot sands- An black oak wand that can telekinetically move unattended objects 10 ft. per round. The object must be within 15 feet and weigh 1 lb. or less. Fire a [basic] projectile equal to your [PWR] each round up to 20 feet, at your [SPD]. 4 posts after landing the first hit, all targets hit by this wand will take heat damage equal to your [MAGI]. The counter then resets.
dark soles - A pair of midnight black shoes that allow you to walk on uneven, unsteady, and difficult terrain with ease. When wearing these shoes you can gain +20% [SPD] three times per thread for 2 post.
Guild Rations - Heal a small portion of stamina and health when consumed. Great for long missions/ dungeons.
broach of the black scarab beetle Three times per thread, you may cause this beetle to come to life. It can attack an enemy dealing -2 rank your [MAGI] each post for three posts. After the three posts are done, you will be healed of the total damage done. This can be broken by [PWR] +1 rank than your [DEF]. If broken, it will remain so for the remainder of the thread.
Notes None Death Chase Sub-Class has been unlocked. [attr="class",robtext] Seeing Nikolas' tentacles put a smile on Emir's face. The thought of them being able to do various things that would make a Japanese person blush passed through his head. He had to snap his attention back to the situation at hand. The second largest wolf had managed to escape the grasp of the light tentacles. It was met with a swift blast from the wand and knocked backwards.
The air shimmered with another dark pulse before dissipating.The accumulated damage managed to take out the other wolves. It left the big wolf as the only survivor. Emir was feeling more comfortable with the extra space to breath. It was a shame the dark motes that inhabited space started to disperse. The two little wolves fell to the ground freeing up the alpha for a second. It was only for a second as Emir’s infernal power took over the other three. They turned on their heavily injured alpha. Ripping out its throat and allowing it to fall in a puddle of blood.
“I cannot believe we survived that!”

Emir did not get far when he heard Summer. He stopped in shock. A subclass was something rare. In fact he was aware of only Nikolas and himself having one. He had a theory that all the other rankers had one as well. That would mean that this young lady must have had some sort of talent. When she started to heal him Emir felt a lightness in his body. Even his injury had healed to a great extent. He had never received healing like this before. It was amazing to say the least.[break][break]
“Whoa! Thanks for that! That is some great healing.” Emir opened his hub because he noticed a new but familiar icon. It was a special party bonus he had before. It was interesting to see again. Whenever Nik was in a party with him they had a certain boost. Emir did have an ability to heal but it was great when Nik did it for him. This time it was even better. Summer looked like she was holy aligned and healed a lot better than Nik.[break][break]
“Out of curiosity. What do you plan on doing after the mission?” As they made their way up the mountain. Emir decided it was time to try and recruit this potential ranker. It would do him and his future guild some good. That and the hidden castle in question was not far from what he could see. They were getting closer to their destination.

Emir took in the stats and information of the new armor and weapon. The smile that jumped on his face was practically blinding. He loved the new gear. The Night Chaser would attempt to go in for a hug in his excitement. He was so happy with the things he had gotten. It was rare, new, and exciting. Emir had no clue what Nikolas had to do to get where he is currently. He just believed that in his own way, the ever so lucky one had to put in a great amount of effort. Nik was a rare jewel that needed a place to shine.[break][break]
“I adore it!” The armor and the blade had a sinister feel to them. Emir felt like he would be a bad boy when he wore it. He liked the dark supervillain look. It was perfectly aligned with his family's aesthetics.[break][break]
He could not hide his excitement as he rushed to try and pick up Nikolas. If allowed the Night Chaser would show the benefit of the power stat as he picked him up and spun him around. The thoughts of how amazing he is spurring him on. If the man was going to continue to be awesome. He should have a place to shine.[break][break]
