As they were walking for some reason Arcana pulled out one of her cards. Nothing had even happened yet and she was already pulling out a weapon. Jonas sighed and a puff of white vapor appeared from his mouth. “I think you're asking the wrong people that question. You think two performers are going to have ice magic?” She'd gotten just what she wanted so why was she asking so scared?

Using his map Jonas was able to keep track of the spirit's erratic movements so he could gather information. Little bit little he caught on to what it was doing. It seemed to be retracing its steps from when it was alive and continuing on its daily routine. Did it have some sort of unfinished business in the village? Whatever it was doing was likely enough to complete the survey at least.

Then it suddenly teleported once again and appeared near Arcana. It didn't seem to be harmful so Jonas didn't pay it any mind while it bothered the annoying woman. Instead, he was watching the map for any other signs of movement. Luckily there were other pings further up the beach. “I think I've got what I need. I'm going to go check out whatever these other dots are.”

Following the pings up the beach Jonas caught sight of the other creatures inhabiting the island. The distinctive scales of a fish could be seen approaching the group. Finally, he got what he wanted as he watched the merfolk skim across the top of the water. He didn't bring a swimsuit or anything so he didn't want to go swimming to get a closer look, but he didn't need to for a long-range observation. Instead, he watched from the shore as the fish people swam near the surface and breached the water like a shark. They sort of reminded him of dolphins the way they were moving and playing with one another. “You ever think about what mythical creature you'd be?”

It took a while for Arcana to regain her composure once Hana pointed out the specter behind her. She almost lost it again when they approached her so suddenly, yet she remained still as she took some deep breaths. "You know, it would be better if you shared full info of your skills and class, I would not be a bit paranoid about these monsters." Yeah, keep telling yourself that, Arcana.

Regardless, she decided to shake off her fears and put her card back in her [Deck Holster] while observing the specter. After a while, Arcana managed to grow accustomed to the spirit's presence and took a sigh of relief. She stayed in place while ignoring Jonas trying to approach the fish people to observe them. Looking at the spirit, she began to wonder why they still stayed in the land of the living. Unless it was something important, she might try to help. But she didn't know how or what.

Eventually, Arcana overheard Jonas's question. "Nope. But if I do, I would be a witch. Does that count?" She asked with the cheekiest shit-eating grin she had. She then turned to Hana next. "Any ideas what the spirit wants? One of our missions seems to involve this guy."

Hana followed Jonas, lagging slightly behind to keep an eye on Arcana as well. She wanted to be near both, just in case either the merfolk or spirit suddenly became less than friendly. For now, the creatures in the water seemed to be keeping their distance as well, and the ghost was content to pester Arcana. Once she began paying it less attention, though, it vanished and returned to repeating that same unfinished trip.

"Uh, well I already picked ghost." A lot of Japanese myths were cool, but she wasn't sure she wanted to be a part of any of them. "Before everything changed, I would've picked something that could fly, I guess." Now flying was a fairly common activity for her, and several people she adventured with.

"I think it keeps trying to gather up these items and take them to the portal. How about we each grab one and head that direction?" Hana pointed towards the break in the trees, which all seemed to be angled the same way. Then she began moving towards a package she'd seen lift and fall a few times, picking that parcel for herself.

Jonas squinted his eyes and glared at Arcana after she answered his question. “What? Witches are just humans with magic. They aren't a creature. Besides you basically are one already!” Maybe she sustained a brain injury from her fall during the tutorial. Who answers a witch when asked what mythical creature they want to be?

While Arcana's answer was dumb Hanas was... concerning... She demonstrated earlier that she could turn into some sort of specter, but it was odd to hear someone say they wanted to be a ghost. Jonas hoped his Guildmaster didn't have any plans of dying any time soon. “Yeah flying is pretty cool huh? I can ride my shield, but it's not really the same thing.”

For once Arcana had a good point. They had an actual job to do here. With all the observations out of the way, they could get down to business. Thankfully Hana was paying attention and had a good idea of what to do. “Sounds easy enough.” A hum ran through his body permeating the ground around Jonas until four hexagonal crystalline-shaped objects rose from the earth. After lying them horizontally in the air he then picked up a few of the items scattered around the area before using the shields to hold them. It was much easier than carrying each of them after all. “So to the portal we go?”

Yeah... That comment from Jonas didn't sit well with Arcana. ~~(Even if he was right.)~~ "Excuse me?! Witches do count as creatures! Just ask Minecraft!" She's trying her best not to punch him out of pettiness. Besides, she wasn't thinking straight ever since meeting her "arch-enemy" from the tutorial again (and the ghosts).

Dumb excuses aside, Arcana took a deep breath before moving on from this conversation. "Well, if I want to fly, I might have tried using a different Arcana for my ability. Though I haven't tested most of them yet." She said. "Still, I'm good with delivering these through the portal." She then helped Hana pick up some items and went off to wherever the ghost was guiding them. Thankfully, they were light enough for her to carry without relying on her [Fractured Arcana].

Yet this made her wonder. What was the purpose behind these objects? And what do the specter want with them? She wasn't the type to question the true nature of the Mission, yet she wondered if there was more to it.

Hana hefted up her chosen parcel and headed down the beach towards the break in the trees. The closer they got to the portal, the more obvious its presence was. Trees bending towards it, a path winding back and forth, until they were finally presented with the swirling hole floating in the middle of a barren clearing.

For once, the spirit's footsteps broke from its repeating loop, following after them as they carried the packages away. It was unclear if they were the spirit's belongings, or something it was supposed to deliver, but they seemed to be on the right track. In fact, the closer they'd moved, the more substantial the ghost had become.

Soon enough a vaguely humanoid figure was standing in front of the portal, finally tangible enough to begin taking the boxes and other items from them to pass through the portal. Hana handed hers over without delay. "I think this wraps things up. Whatever these things mean to them, hopefully they'll be at peace now."
