Hana had contacted Aliyah and Nubia (along with several other people on her friends list) through the system, inviting them to a little pop up live performance she was going to attempt. They'd both showed appreciation for her music before, so they seemed like good recruitment candidates!

She'd been staking out this corner for weeks now. Before establishing her actual Guild Base, Hana had basically been based in LA, so she'd had plenty of time to observe the city and its people. It was busy, but not crowded. The street was mostly clear. And a partially collapsed building had created a flat, raised area that might work as a makeshift stage. Now she just had to take it.

Taking a deep breath, Hana deftly hopped up the chunks of rubble like stepping stones, landing on the flat stretch of fallen building. "H-hello, Los Angeles!" Hana blushed at the small stutter, but continued on with her plan. Gesturing as three floating stage lights appeared behind her. They clicked on and began pulsing with color, as she lifted her hand into the air, firing off dazzling pyrotechnics!

Thankfully, in the Safe Zone, none of this would harm anybody. Now that she'd gotten the attention of the people going about their business of survival, a curious crowd was beginning to form. She just needed a few more pieces of equipment to help keep their attention. A headphone and mic appearing, as she adjusted it near her mouth, followed by her trusty guitar summoned into her hands.

Reassuringly, she spotted two of her invitees appearing from slightly different directions. As she began to play, accompanying music slowly faded in. It was definitely pulsing outwards from her spot on the stage, but where exactly it came from was unclear! Hana smiled, hoping they noticed her noticing them, as the stage lights began to float about, pulsing colors in time with the music.

Aliyah was brimming with excitement as she exited the teleportation ring. It was nice ti be back in her hometown and was considering getting a permanent residence here rather than continuing to rent a room in the hub. But that could wait, for now she was here to support Hana's performance and enjoy herself.[break][break]
Activating her raven cloak, the witch took off into the air, making her way toward the make-shift stage. Quite a few people had gathered, most of them curious about what was going on. Ever since logging in, everyone had been in struggles for survival so Aliyah hoped they appreciated the performance.[break][break]
Orion; who had been in his regular location, drew her attention upward as Hana landed into her stage. She seemed a bit nervous but quickly recovered, filling the streets of L. A. with music.[break][break]
Aliyah let herself get lost in the music, swaying with her eyes closed.

Nubia was happy to have received Hana's invite, since Ollie had gone missing she felt a little lost herself. It was strange, and she couldn't live her figure out why, but when she brought up her friend list he was still on there, meaning he hadn't died.[break][break]
At least for now. The thought of such put forth a gut-wrenching feeling, it was so frustrating. "Why did I have to fall for those big green eyes of his?" she muttered letting it fall in random with a small sigh. [break][break]
Nonetheless, there was no looking back, only forward. Go after what's in front of you and cut down any obstacle in the most efficient way possible. That was what her parents taught her, and that was the creed she lived by. It was a quick trip through the way gate, as it always was.[break][break]
Nubia quickly found herself getting lost in the magic of LA, she made her way through a few shops, before ultimately settling on a food stand stall that sold elotes on a stick. She bought two, before making her way toward where Hana said she might be.[break][break]
Nubia locked onto Hana after hearing her voice, she watched with glee as the lights activated and the pyrotechnics started. "Wow! Talk about a one-woman band!" Nubia said with excitement, her feet already moving in the direction of Hana as she noticed, another young girl flying in the sky swaying to the music. [break][break]
Nubia let her worries drown out for a moment and found herself swaying as well, letting the melodic tones wash over her as she waved one of elotes in the air as if it was a lighter while munching on the other. [break][break]

Dee Dee was surprised to get a message from Hana about her throwing a concert, pleasantly surprised, and apparently Dee Dee had been invited! so she headed back to Los angels and on arriving she took the parts of her food cart out and started ot set it up, summoning Kramer, BombDee, and Jimmy to help, and soon the little group was on there way. Honestly Dee Dee wasn't sure what this all was about, other then Hana wanting to put up a show, well if that's what she wanted to do Dee Dee could help make it better when what skills she had, or at the very least making sure there was food at the Venue! Rolling her Food Cart down the streets Dee Dee started to hear music and Hana's Voice and realized her friend was starting up her show, so Dee Dee pushed a little faster, completely forgetting that with her summons out she was much stronger and much faster then before and before she knew it she was moving at a fair clip, what with Kramer and BombDee helping her push and pull the Cart into place. Coming quickly around the corner Dee Dee spotted a nice place to set up that had a good view of the impromptu Stage and she guided the cart over that way, pulling to a stop and quickly starting to set up, BombDee and Kramer helping as well as Jimmy, to get the cart fully up and running with tables and chairs set up as well. and then Kramer used his flame breath to quickly get the cooking surfaces and fries up to speed as Dee Dee took out the needed supplies and got ready for customers. Though as she finished her set up she took the time to wave over at Hana no doubt her stand was sticking out quite a bit due to the large Tomato shaped sign on it that proudly displayed the name of the little food cartthe "Maximum Tomato" with the two different menus on it, a more Tomato Focused menu Featuring the "Tomatonator" as the chefs choice, and then a normal menu for those not wanting to try the Tomato Centric menu. Hana's voice started out a bit shaky, but she quickly recovered. The song was familiar to enough of the crowd to get people excited. "My First Love Song" was Hikari Utano's first big hit, and when the English version came out ten years later, it had also performed solidly. Of course, her most famous song in America was still the theme song to that video game, but they'd both made it here on the same album!

She smiled, even while singing, as she spotted Dee Dee and her companions setting up their cart. She noticed Nubia had food too, and there were several other opportunistic merchants at work spreading drinks and snacks through the crowd. This was everything Hana could've hoped for!

Finishing the song, the teen needed a few moments to catch her breath. The applause and cheers energizing her, reassuring her that she should continue. "I've got a few more of Miss Utano's songs I'd love to share with you, if that's alright?" She couldn't help but blush at the positive response.

She'd save the Guild recruitment speech for a little later, once she'd really shown the audience what supporting ANTHEM would mean. Hopefully the people she'd personally invited already understood. Hana would also understand if they simply wanted to enjoy the shows she was putting on, without involving themselves in the actual performances...of course, they did need plenty of strong fighters to deal with the other side of things, no matter their artistic talents.

As Hana began to sing to her music, Aliyah noted the shakiness in her voice. Anyone would be nervous in her position and the fact that she recovered quickly showed Hana's talent as an entertainer. Of course, Aliyah could be biased simply because Hana was singing one of her favorite Japanese artists.[break][break]
One day while she had been going through some of her mother's old things, she had discovered the artist's cd inside. Curious, she pocketed it and when she returned to her room that night, listened to it in private. She had gotten hooked immediately. This was another thing that connected her to her mother so she needed to love it.[break][break]
As the song finished, Aliyah clapped and cheered loudly, not caring if she drew any attention to herself. She was here to support Hana and wanted the other girl to know that. With the break between songs though, the avian user was starting to get a bit peckish and there was an interesting smell coming from a nearby food cart. "Trust someone to take advantage of the crowd."[break][break]
Making her way over to the cart, Aliyah noted that it seemed to be tomato themed, an interesting choice but one that worked in her favor since Orion personally loved them. "Excuse me, can I get one tomato please?"

Nubia continued dancing idly to the songs but she wondered when they would get down to business. Granted this wasn't really the music she was always into or choose to dance to but Hana kept a good rhythm up which made it easier for her to dance. She had never heard of the artist Hana had mentioned but she didn't deny the gesture for Hana to play more songs. Instead, she screamed at the top of her lungs, "Hell yeah! Keep rockin' girl!" While tossing her fist in the air, before letting the crowd of swayers once again engulf her.[break][break]
The energy wasn't as electric as she would've liked it to be, after all this was an outdoor impromptu show, not a major concert but the longing, the feeling of relaxing and just letting go with the music was something she so dearly missed, and couldn't help but get lost in. For just a moment it felt like all her cares, worries, and stress in the world just vanished. Then she looked to her side, her smile dipped, her shoulders sagged, and her swaying become a little more stagnant. A large empty feeling rested on her and she wished that she could be sharing this feeling alongside Ollie. [break][break]
She sighed, letting the momentary sadness wash over her before forcing it away and choosing to enjoy the music and the energy of the building crowd. Nubia wondered if there was anything she could do to make the show stand out more, but in truth, her skills, her abilities, and items were not of the fancy or show-stopping variety. Thus she simply enjoyed the songs sending out the occasional "woo, yeah!!!" of support into the open air. [break][break]
Then as her eyes glanced upward, she could see the flying person move over toward the food stalls, to which Nubia inquisitive as she was followed suit, to not only grab a bite to eat but to inquire where the person had got such an item.

Dee Dee had been cooking up a storm since she got here, People asking for food, mostly from her normal menu rather then the main Tomato based one, but she didn't mind she was just glad people liked the food, the cold drinks, and the music, and she and BombDee happily made move food for people quickly pelting out burgers, fries, onion rings, salads, some quick fry porkchops and even some spaghettis, she was glad she upgraded her food Cart to cook more things for situations like this, it also meant her menu was quite expanded, Kramer was happily laying in his bed near the cookers ready to help if something needed to be flash fried, and it kept everything running smoothly.. despite a few Dee Dee/BombDee collisions, but nothing ever got dropped as one of them always managed to untangle themselves fast enough to catch and flying food. Some people even seemed to think it was an act or at least found it entertaining. Then someone walked up and asked for a tomato... just a tomato? Dee Dee had found one of her people! and Dee Dee Quickly nodded and popped a nice, large, fresh, slightly polished Tomato from her supplies and handed it to the girl before giving her a thumbs up and writing on a notepad "I see you are also a lover of Tomatoes! that's right very few realize the absolute Amazingness of Tomatoes and how versatile they are! but nothing compares to a simple fresh tomato.. but if you wanted to try it roasted or part of our Special Tomatonator you can put in an order! Oh Right and I am Dee Dee nice to meet you, this is BombDee my Waddle-dee Friend, and Kramer my Baby Dragon!" the writing on the notepad Read as Dee Dee turned it around for the girl to see, as she didn't speak a single word. After catching her breath, Hana launched into another song by Hikari Utano. This one was more recent, but Aliyah likely still recognized it. The floating lights continuing to pulse in time with the beat, as the backing music continued to simply emanate from where she was standing. Hana was obviously playing the guitar live, just like her singing, as the odd imperfect note snuck through.

The three faces she recognized began to converge around Dee Dee's cart during the song, so she decided this would be a good place to start her pitch. As the second song wound down, she took a moment to let the audience applaud before her guitar vanished back into her inventory. "Thank you again, everybody! I'm going to take a short break to grab a drink before playing a few more songs. Don't worry, I'll be right here!"

Hana pointed towards the food cart, before stepping off the makeshift stage and into the air. Waves of sound rippled under her feet as she walked over the crowd, waving down as people looked up. "And, if you'd be interested in being notified about future performances...look for ANTHEM in the Guilds menu, and follow our update feed!" The Guild's logo appeared on a large system screen above her head, broadcasting its info to the crowd.

Mic disappearing for a moment, she hopped back down to the street near her three friends. "Hey! Hana quickly bobbed bows in their direction, waving to Dee Dee's companions. "I don't want to keep them waiting for too long, but...I'd be really honored if you'd consider joining ANTHEM with me!"

The musician gave a slightly deeper, more formal bow as she asked this of the adventurers that had accepted her invitation to the impromptu concert. "I want to put on more performances for people...and make Tokyo a safe place again. Like, with musicians, and artists, and everything!" Hana was obviously a bit worked up, adrenaline pumping after all the excitement. "We'll be going on regular missions, on top of all of that. Oh, and I've got a base that's, like, all furnished and private and safe and everything, just for Guild members!"

Aliyah smiled at the girl, holding the tomato in her hand as Orion began to peck at it as the seller began to write on a notepad. "Oh. I think she's mute." the witch thought before she was joined by 2 others; that being Hana and a mystery swordgirl.[break][break]
Hana wasted no time in coming out with her pitch for them to join her guild which Aliyah appreciated. She hadn't put much thought into the guild system since there weren't any that had started up. "It probably wouldn't hurt to get a leg up on the competition." she thought before giving her answer.[break][break]
"That definitely sounds like something that would be right up my alley. One of my skills requires me to sing so maybe you can help me with some songs and singing." she said, flashing Hana a smile. By this time, the cart worker had finished writing in her notebook and turned it so that Aliyah could read what she had been writing.[break][break]
Aliyah felt herself blink a few times as the written word vomit as she processed what she was reading. "It's nice to meet you, Dee. My name is Aliyah and this is Orion." she stated, waving a hand at the raven halfway through eating the tomato. "I take it that you're a tamer class also?"

Nubia made her way toward the open stalls some people had up, mostly because she wanted to talk to the purple-cloaked girl to ask about her item. Though as she got closer she quickly released that the girl had gotten into a conversation with the shop owner and that the music had come to a halt. She glanced back to see that Hana was coming their way.[break][break]
She moved over toward the two exchanging in there a moment of commerce for food, listening to the menu of available items, though it sounded like a bit too much tomato for her liking, if it wasn't made into some form of pasta sauce. Thus she simply waited for Hana to show up, looking in her direction, a small smile on her face. [break][break]
Her eyes glanced through the crowd, picking out the girl as she made her way over. Once Hana was near them, Nubia's smile widened and she propped up a little bit more. She could still remember the feeling of Hana's skill taking over her, improving her, letting her move smoother, more fluidly. It was foreign yet familiar, a brilliant combination of potential and magic. It's what drew her to be even more interested in the girl's talents, and abilities, and why she thought moving in this direction would offer just that: Direction. [break][break]
Nubia waited until Hana spoke, enjoying that Hana was getting straight to the point, so Nubia returned in kind with a quick rush of her own words, "Sure, I'm in, but I'm not much of an entertainer but I'd be down for any fights, missions, dungeon raiding, and so on and so forth," she said her smile unwavering. She had a few business deals on the side, like being a bodyguard for Enigma, but she didn't think that warranted much mention as things currently stood, especially as it didn't seem the two goals didn't interfere with each other. Nubia then turned to Aliyah jolting out the question, "I love your cloak, where'd you get it?" then turning to DeeDee jolting out the words, "Also, you wouldn't happen to have anything pasta related would you?" she said, a small pang of hunger creeping from her belly. [break][break]

Dee Dee was glad she had a few customers, and then as she was making some food for a few other customers she managed to sell a Tomatonator! Which she made with Extra gusto and delivered the meal to the customer and gave them a little Salute, the woman giggling and thinking them before paying and leaving, then Dee Dee heard Hana start talking rather then thinking and Dee Dee looked over and it was at that moment Hana pointed at her and the ENTIRE CROWD turned around and looked right at her, Dee Dee's eyes became large as dinner plates to the point even when she was walking over it was likely Hana could see them, but she responded in the most Dee Dee way... she waved to the crowd as Hana made her way over. Dee Dee was then accosted by many questions at once, Hana Asking her to join a guild, the Purple girl Aliyah asking her about her class, and then a third woman asked her about having Pasta, Dee Dee looked at the woman, then leaned over the counter and looked up at her two menus, one of which was Tomato based and the other Menu was normal stuff, and right there on the Tomato Menu was Pasta with Tomato sauce, she then looked at the new woman and gave them a thumbs up before taking out the note book and opened a message window and started to write and type at the same time. The Notepad was turned around so Nubia could read it and it read "What's your name by the way? I am Dee Dee nice to meet you!". And she left it so she could read it as she finished the message to Hana and the new Girl Aliyah which was sent to them well it was two different messages one to each of them. The Message to Aliyah read as "Hello nice to meet you! And you Too Orion! I am glad you like the Tomatoes! I have a whole menu as you can see with a selection of different Tomato Dishes or Dishes with Tomatoes in them, and I have the normal menu if you want anything more conventional, As for my Class technically I am a Summoner not a Tamer, but yes I have my own little friends, these are BombDee the Waddle-dee, Kramer the Baby Dragon, and finally Jimmy the Fire Ant Larva!". Hana seemed quite pleased by Aliyah's response, smiling wide and nodding along. "Yeah, of course! I'm still learning myself, but I'm happy to share what I've learned!" She turned to Nubia after that. "Oh, that's fine! We have to earn points to get by and improve the Guild and everything, so doing missions together is still great!"

Although Nubia clearly wasn't Japanese, the class she'd picked and the weapons she used meant she at least had some affection for Hana's hometown. Hopefully she'd be willing to keep fighting for it alongside her. Hana used the brief respite while Dee Dee was writing up her multiple responses to withdraw a bottle of water from her inventory, taking a few swallows before returning it to storage.

Honestly, the message she received was a little surprising. She paused for a moment, before reading it over again. Nodding, finally. "Okay, I get it." Hana understood, even if she was a little disappointed. "Whatever you do, I'll be there to help you out, too!"

The musician smiled as her two new recruits conversed, happy to see everyone getting along. "Alright, you just need to sign this contract..." A few pokes at the system menu, and the contract to join ANTHEM popped up on screens in front of the two that had accepted Hana's request to join. "...and you should get access to the Guild living space and everything. I'll show you around later! Right now, um, I should get back to it!"

Hana didn't want to leave the audience waiting for too long. The instrumental track she was emitting picked up again, matching up with the floating lights as she hopped back up into the air and walked back over the crowd. Undoubtedly some of them would be curious about the two people that would suddenly have smaller ANTHEM logos pop up over their heads, and the display had definitely attracted more attention to Dee Dee's cart as well.

For now, the teen returned to her makeshift stage, guitar reappearing as she went right into a third song. Something fast and upbeat, to get the crowd excited again! Hana could probably handle several more before needing another break, unless she spotted more familiar faces she needed to recruit.

"I wouldn't mind having some company to do dungeons and missions with. I can only spend so long around these guys before I start to crave some human companionship." Aliyah joked before answering her melanated companion. "It was a lucky pull from a mystery box honestly. I'm hoping to upgrade it to be able to shoot out feathers of something."[break][break]
Once she finished answering Nubia, Aliyah turned back to read what Deedee had written in her notebook. "Oh my God, no way! You're the first summoner that I've met since everything went down." The witch-themed teen squealed out, crouching down to examine each of the summons named. It seemed that unlike her, Deedee hadn't gotten limited to a single type of creature.[break][break]
When the contract appeared on her screen, Aliyah made sure to go through it in full before she signed. Just because she trusted Hana didn't mean that she was just going to blindly sign something like this. Finding nothing malicious in it, she signed her name, becoming an official member of Anthem.[break][break]

Nubia smiled as DeeDee flipped around the notepad for her to read, she used the but of her palm to begin scanning the page. She gave a warm smile and simply replied, “Nubia, but most call me Red Bee,” she said with a smile. [break][break]
Nubia felt the minor weight of concern she had about not being able to let loose vanish as Hana spoke. “Well that’s all I’d need on my end, you can count me in,” she said, her smile softening before she placed one hand on her hip and brought the other into the air with a single finger pointed upward, “that said, I’m not much of a performer. I, mean I can dance and I’ve got rhythm but the best I can do for singing is a few bird calls.” Nubia let loose a small chuckle, before turning to Aliyah. [break][break]
“Well, I look forward to working with you, If you’d like some help getting the materials for that upgrade let me know!” Nubia said, pressing the accept button for joining the guild. She saw a new menu pop up and the icon of “ANTHEM” pop above her head. She quickly found herself wondering how to get rid of it for the sake of stealth when fighting, but as Hana went back to culling the masses with her music Nubia in turn decided to give a simple wave to both girls before running to join the crowd and dance.
