Growing up, Aliyah had always had an interest in birds, to be more specific ravens. It was something that her mother had been interested and she decided to pursue this interest as a way to be closer to her mother. She also did some research into tengus as this was another of her mother's interests due to her Japanese heritage. From her father, she got a love of anime and liked to envision herself as a magical girl with a talking raven sidekick that had the ability to transform into a tengu. She spoke so much about this that her father opted to go and buy her a pet raven only for her father to be later killed in a drive-by shooting. She grew close to the raven, to the point of being able to teach him some human words but she always felt that Orion was a bit too intelligent and aware, leading her to wonder where her father had gotten the raven from. One of Orion's quirks was that he had a strange fascination with ice and snow, and can often be found playing in it during winter. [break][break]

The ornithologist's class is one that involves observing, understanding, and befriending avian creatures. All over this world, there are species of birds that have yet to be found or discovered. Your unique skill is that whenever you cross paths with a bird or bird-like creature, you can attempt to add them to your roost. This is done by rolling a 2d6 in Discord. A single even numbers result in the creature submitting to you, odd numbers result in the creature becoming enraged and gaining +10% [PWR] and [SPD] stats for the following 2 posts. These birds do not have to be monsters presented to you by staff, they can be regular birds you have found on your journeys. If you tame a regular bird and not a monster made by staff, that bird will auto-start at a 1-star summon and cannot upgrade. Orion is the exception to this rule.

Your roost can only house nine birds. You may summon up a number of birds equal to every rank past F [MAGI] from your roost. If a bird is killed, it will simply return to the roost for the remainder of the thread and cannot be resummoned. Birds in your roost can have their levels rise. Once every other post, you gain what is known as a [Rune of Knowledge], this rune glows with a soft glow and can be placed anywhere on your body.
