He returned to the kitchen immediately after, quickly grabbing his utensils to continue cooking. Pepero was satisfied after giving Susame a long sniff, and the shaggy dog strode back to his original resting place: a well-loved dog bed near the small television in the far right corner of the apartment.
Aside from the cat investigating Susame at the door, another had yet to budge from the chair at the small dining table, and the final cat was too busy scratching at the post of a cat tower to care.
There was a brief pause in his actions (which he quickly resumed to prevent burning) at the question. "Mm..." The answer truly was a simple one, even if it was enough that Min-su had spent far too long agonizing over whether or not he should invite him over. "I... wasn't much help during the tutorial." Not wanting to witness the one-sided beating, he turned away, wearing the bow over his shoulder like one would the strap of a backpack. He collected his things (including the bag of dog food) and followed after them, but not before closing a level-up notification or two.
Now that they were somewhat equipped and he had witnessed the combat prowess of the other two, Min-su was not nearly as nervous traversing the school as he had been. Due to the lack of lighting, he kept his attention on the glow of the flashlight, never straying because, well, he didn't want to get lost. They knew what they were doing in a fight, but Min-su? That was a lucky shot earlier.
When they stopped on the first floor, Min-su set the bag down on his feet so his arms could relax. He was quiet for a moment, his eyes trained on the red beyond the tears in Susame's clothes. "... Nurse's office. You might get an infection if you go into another fight like that. I, um, I can apply the bandages for you."
He's bandaged up a few unwilling cats and dogs before. He could bandage a human, too.

He rushed around, collecting groceries and other supplies before returning to his humble one-room apartment to begin preparation. First, he hastily cleaned (as in removed a cat from the table, wiped down the table, and then put away all the pet toys - he was a relatively clean person to begin with). Then, he donned an apron and set to work chopping vegetables, slicing meat, and cooking rice.
Lost in his own world, he only knew someone was at the door when the knock caused his dog to bark, startling him out of his focus. Min-su fumbled as he set his chopsticks aside and reached for a towel to wipe off his hands. He was at the door the next moment, taking in a deep breath before opening the door. He paused his search with Elisande's exclamation, eyes wide with surprise. Following her finger, his lips formed a small o before forming a frown. While the outcrop was the right distance from the star map, getting there was still going to be a challenge. Scaling a building was different than scaling a cliff, and it definitely did not hold a candle to scaling floating islands. "I can climb, but I don't know about my jumping skills."
This wasn't like Minecraft where they could hold shift the moment they landed to prevent themselves from falling off the ledge.

Granted, Min-su was beginning to expect this out of Ryuko. He brushed off the sarcasm with a polite smile, and somewhere in the back of his mind he made a note about her growling stomach.
If the end of the tutorial did not immediately teleport them back to where they originally were, then he needed to remember to offer them a meal.
The shield was pulled from his grip before he was prepared (a little warning, please!), and Min-su's grip on the remaining items slipped, most of them having been balanced on the shield. He fumbled with the remaining items, one of the arrows falling to the ground. After regaining his hold, he almost bent over to pick up the fallen arrow.
Before he could so much as lean over an inch, Susame exchanged the spear for the knife, and Min-su received critical damage the second he glanced up at him.
Min-chan?
The knife slipped from his grip before he could secure it, and it clattered to the ground. He quickly crouched down to pick the fallen items up, head down to hide the embarrassment that tinged his cheeks and ears. He was thankful for the darkness.
Min-su cleared his throat as he stood up, but he was not given much of a chance to fully recompose himself before their next encounter approached from the stairs. His mind reeled as he tried to figure out what he could do, and, yes, he briefly considered grabbing the dog food to use as a blunt weapon. However, that idea was tossed aside. Ryuko had a better shield to use. For bashing. Like she said. Oh, boy.
He carefully 'sheathed' the knife into one of the belt loops on his pants and set to work figuring out how to hold the bow. He would have to work based on movie logic for now, and that knowledge at least got him halfway there. All he had to do was hope he could aim.
One of the hostile students immediately aggro'd on Susame, leaving the other one for them. Ryuko could probably handle this on her own, but, still wanting to prove he was useful, Min-su focused his eyes down the tip of the arrow. With a deep breath in, he waited for a flicker in the lights to confirm his target's location (and tried his damned hardest to ignore Susame's beautifully terrifying battle style) before he released the arrow.
Surprisingly, it soared through the air, the tip sinking into the oncoming undead student's shoulder.
He did it!
But, that wasn't enough to down it.

His steps stopped when the dolphin started circling in the air as if signaling to them. Hands on his hips, Min-su's chin tilted upward to take in the height of the nearby waterfall and the likely holder of the so-called star map. Going anywhere near the waterfall would be dangerous; the force of the water alone would be enough to knock them down for some hefty fall damage.
A frown of thought on his lips, Min-su surveyed their surroundings for the safest path. "Climbing would be dangerous." Not to mention Elisande seemed to be a magic build, and the most climbing he had done was for getting cats out of a tree or scaling a window or two in order to feed, you guessed it, a cat.
His eyes turned to Delphi. "... Can't Delphi get it? She can attack, so shouldn't she be able to grab something high up as well?" It was worth a shot, at least. [attr="class","minsu-info"]Min-su missed the bustle of the city, the upbeat music that would drift from open storefronts, and the idle chatter with customers while he worked. The sharp decrease in Seoul's population left it barren, occupied by more slimes than people. He had only encountered a handful of other humans (players?) thus far, probably because there were designated safe zones for those who wanted easy survival.
As for Min-su, he chose to stay in Seoul (though the waypoints made it easier for him to travel when necessary). He had nowhere else to go, and uprooting what was left of his old life... He couldn't do it.
But, that was a thought for another day.
Today, he was on a supply run. There was a food issue on the horizon, and he knew he would need to start growing his own produce or leaving Seoul to collect herbs in the wilderness. For now, thankfully, the food lining the shelves of markets was still questionably fresh. He couldn't trust anything in the refrigerated section, but there was still plenty of shelf-stable food.
Min-su had an old messenger bag slung over his left shoulder. A few canned vegetables weighed it down, his hand gripping the strap to prevent it from slipping off his shoulder. He was trying not to pick a specific store clean and spread out his grocery shopping across a variety of nearby markets.

Then came the voice from behind, a promise to look, even if it was just keeping an eye out. That was more than enough. Min-su turned back around, relief drawing a smile to his face. "Really? Thank you!"
At the question of a name, a single syllable immediately left his throat, "Pe--" but it was his name the stranger was asking for. He quickly cut himself off and cleared his throat. "Min-su." He... he thought he was asking for his dog's name. At least that was clarified before he could start listing off snack names.
The other man began walking away once more, and Min-su found himself following after. It would be more efficient to split up and search, but it felt like he needed to follow him.
And he was glad he did.
A nostalgic aroma wafted out of an alley, reminding him of popup bars and dog food. An odd combination, but it worked. Min-su vaguely recognized the voice that projected outward, the idea of verifying who it was not crossing his mind as his feet carried him to the opening of the alley. The scene before them might as well have been out of a children's book, only instead of a normal chef serving a bunch of strays on stools, it was Earth. The avatar of Earth, rather.
He should have been hesitant, yet his eyes were already scanning the crowd of animals in search of his own. He spotted them just as they did him, and Min-su threw caution to the wind as he darted past the other man. "Pepero!" Nearly halfway down the alley and Min-su dropped down to his knees, releasing the bags of treats (which fell to the ground) as he throws his hands out to wrap his arms around the old Sapsali. He did not care how he looked, clinging to a wire-furred dog while cats climbed all over him.
The panic from the past few hours rapidly subsided as relief took over. Tears threatened to spill over, and Min-su kept his face buried in Pepero's fur for a long moment before he slowly lifted his head. "How can I not thank you? Thank you, Earth-ssi, truly."

A floating dolphin was not bound by gravity, and normal dolphins were a force to be reckoned with, especially in groups.
Min-su blinked in surprise at the sudden oh! from Elisande. "That's fine," he was the one intruding to begin with. He had no right to stop her and was curious to see what her class could do. Celestial dolphins are great and all (no, fantastic), but there had to be more than that.
His eyes traveled to Delphi, his interest growing knowing that whatever she wanted to do involved the dolphin. Delphi set off, and Min-su suddenly realized that he should not be standing in one place right now. He followed after Elisande, finding it easier to track her movements than the searching dolphin.
