Min-su placed the bags of pet food back into the cabinet and stood, grabbing a towel off the counter to wipe his hands with. Now that his pets were fed, all he had left was to feed--
The thought cut off, disturbed by the clattering. His eyes first snapped to the place he had left the leopard shapeshifter, finding it void of his patient. He turned on his heel toward the direction of the sound, where the refrigerator was wide open. A long and fluffy tail swished in the air past the door, the clearest indicator of who was raiding his fridge.
It was cute, really, but Min-su made sure to keep that to himself this time.
He slowly crept toward the appliance door; though, his attempt to not startle the other man reversed on him when the stranger's head suddenly appeared. Min-su flinched before suppressing the surprise in favor of staring at the uncooked meat hanging from his teeth.
The sight itself still rendered as cute, but Min-su still refused to utter a single syllable about it.
"Ah!" He quickly closed the distance, a hand reaching for the handle of the refrigerator door separating them. "You shouldn't eat that raw." Even if he was... part leopard? He was uncertain if that changed his dietary needs, but that did not change a thing. He resisted the impulse to snatch the sausages away, knowing there was no safe zone to protect him here. Instead, he peered past the fridge door, wilting at the disarray of the contents of his fridge.

Yes?" It could be worded that way, at least. From the surface, it might look like nothing more than helping people to help people. Deeper down in the darkest abyss of reason, however?
Min-su disregarded the thought as a cold nose pressed against his hand. Pepero had stretched out of his bed once his human had and bypassed the stranger in favor of seeking the most readily available affection. And food. It's breakfast time, human! Min-su leaned over and cupped the dog's face, ruffling wiry fur and cooing despite his current company. "Alrighty, alright~."
He would have left his position, but he stopped before he could even move, having straightened up to find his patient right in front of him. Blinking with surprise, his chin tilted upward, finally realizing their height difference. "O-oh, um, of cour--" his words caught in his throat, and a bright red flush stretched from his ears to the back of his neck. He heard that? Of course he heard that.
Making a mental note to keep his thoughts as nothing more than thoughts from now on, Min-su cleared his mouth. His gaze quickly turned down, fixing on Pepero's pleading eyes instead of the man before him. "I-I, um- I'll help regardless." He ducked away, scooting between the man and the sofa to make his brilliant getaway. Not that there was anywhere to run, but he quickly busied himself by crouching down to open a cabinet. The animals swarmed him as he pulled out their food to pour into their awaiting bowls.

Heading deeper into any forest without a clear guide could get them turned around. Heading deeper into a forest filled with bright colors and lights could disorient them, and then they would really be lost. Part of him doubted he would want to be more adventurous later. They were lucky so far that nothing had popped out to attack them, even more so that nothing tried to attack Elisande while she was leaping across the floating islands.
If push came to shove, however, he supposed he wouldn't be (too) against the idea.
For now, though, "the river it is."
Min-su followed after Elisande. He tried not to get too distracted, be it by moss along a tree that pulsated as it glowed or by the sound of scurrying through the undergrowth (he justified it as nothing more than glowing rabbits and squirrels). Thankfully, Elisande spoke up, and he was able to return his focus to her. "Ah... I'm a Beast Tamer." He was rather embarrassed by the title, evident by the faint chuckle trailing his words and the hand that rubbed against the back of his neck.

Meanwhile, Min-su was treating this more like he was out walking Pepero, having only left with the bare necessities: water, jerky, and dog treats. He supposed he could count the little roll of trash bags in that list.
Maybe he should have prepared a bit more... Oops.
A soft hum of thought on his lips, Min-su tilted his head slightly. "I don't... think so? I started leaving money on the counter when getting food from the convenience store, but..." The polite smile he had kept turned embarrassed. "I, uh, I don't think our currency is valid anymore." And he was running out of cash to leave. "I know I am out of a job. My boss is... missing." And the store looked like a crime scene.
Pepero's interest in Grumble only diverted as a hand reached out to him. The scruffy dog leaned forward to sniff the offered hand, his tongue slipping out with a quick lick before the hand could be pulled away. His ears drew forward, dark eyes expectant now that the word treat had been dropped.
Sorry, Pepero. Not right now.
Min-su consoled his dog with a pat on the side.
The notification for the party invitation appeared before him, and he accepted it without a second thought. His eyes drew to Grumble out of curiosity. Would his passive be influenced by Grumble? Or did only his creatures count? He supposed they would find out sooner or later.
"... The trains are, in fact, no longer in operation, right?" It was one thing to see the ones dead at the station, but what about other stations? Min-su followed after Orvis, jumping down only when Pepero looked like he was about ready to vault off the platform after the other person. He was quick to stop the dog from jumping to the ground, instead redirecting his attention so he would jump into Min-su's arms instead. Pepero was no longer young, and Min-su was going to have a heart attack one of these days from the dog pulling off stunts as if he was still two.

"You shouldn't eat it on their own. It's just water and starch; it'll take on the taste of the sauce." He reached for the boxes to place in his back. Another strap readjustment later, he turned on his heel to head out of the store. "My apartment is a few blocks away. If you're fine playing with cats while you wait, I should have everything ready within half an hour." The main meal, at least. He had plenty of side dishes to get him through at least the week. His eyes widened as he took in the scene before them, from the so-called nurses to the boy on the operating table. He did not know where to look, whether to focus on the enemy or the patient. Could they save him? As much as he wanted to think they could, he could not do more than bandage someone up. The boy had lost too much blood already and was missing an entire limb.
He still wanted to try, but now was not the time to be focusing on someone else.
Min-su scrambled for the weapons he had foolishly left by the door. His breath hitched as he caught sight of the severed leg, and a knot began to twist his stomach. He kept his gaze up as if it would be enough to ignore the limb, and he snatched up the knife. He might have gone for the bow and arrows had it not been for how close their proximity already was.
Pulling away from the door, he took a brief moment to consider the fight before him. Ryuko did something that knocked back a nurse and scattered supplies everywhere, and Susame was grappling with the other nurse.
At the call of his name, his grip tightened on the knife. He was going to have to actually use this, huh? These nurses were still moving; could they be considered alive? Was he going to have to take a life? No, no, these were monsters that could open a person up like a high school dissection lab and have no remorse.
Swallowing his hesitation, Min-su stepped forward and grabbed the wrist of a swiping hand. He plunged the knife into the single eye socket shown through the bandages.

Only to make a joke of it. Even Min-su was willing to admit the system could be a bit cruel sometimes.
He blinked with confusion as the barrel was pointed at him. He might have flinched had he not seen the fur it produced instead of gunpowder. With a slight laugh of embarrassment, he rubbed at the back of his neck. "I can't refute that. I was reckless, but I couldn't let them hurt you." The other reason for throwing himself on top of a giant cat was to be a physical barrier between the leopard and the crowd.
"You were so soft, though..." He mumbled, glancing away for a moment.
Min-su slowly got off the couch before his legs could fall asleep. "Why?" His eyes returned to the man. "Mm... If I'm capable of helping someone, I will." Min-su would have been content carrying Pepero a while longer, but the cold wet nose the dog stuck in his ear quickly had him shifting the dog's weight around until he could lean over and set him down. Pepero circled around Min-su, winding the leash around his legs before he sat down.
"Ah- I'm fine with that." Most of his abilities were party-based, so it would have been needed regardless at some point in time. "As for pets..." His eyes traveled down to the Sapsali, whose attention had refocused solely on Grumble. "Hopefully they're as lucky as those in Seoul."

Or cleaning his apartment three times to help him think... Or preparing side dishes to last at least a month.
There was so much to do.
So, why was he in the United Kingdom (could it even be called that anymore?) instead of at home, gathering his bearings? The answer was simple (to him): he needed specific ingredients and imports were down indefinitely. The obvious solution was to go find it himself.
Pepero had refused to let him leave the apartment without him, so, out of habit, Min-su grabbed his leash, a bag of treats, and a roll of disposable bags. He had a feeling the leash was unnecessary, but it brought comfort in normalcy.
As for why he was standing around on the train tracks, well... He had no idea where he was going. He had never traveled before!
Min-su flinched at the sound of a voice and turned to find the source: a young man and his... What is that? Despite being addressed, his attention was immediately captured, eyes brightening with curiosity, by the greenish blob with tusks. Pepero was just as interested, but his lacking manners had the Sapsali's tail wagging as he leaned in to sniff at the strange creature without so much as an introduction.
Tearing his eyes away, he blinked a few times before looking up at the stranger. "I-- um--" he had only caught half of that. Something about looking for his family? Dog? It did seem like the leopard from before calmed ever-so-slightly; though, he had not expected his voice to play a large part in it. Usually dulling the senses and stepping back would have been enough to a certain extent.
"Ah, that--" Min-su's words died in his throat, the other man's expression contorting into... anger? The high level of confusion likely did nothing to help. A hand reached for the blanket. Min-su flinched; Pepero barked. The smaller hand that slipped out from beneath the blanket and held a flat palm toward the dog prevented Pepero from getting out of bed, despite having already jumped up. The Sapsali slowly lowered himself down again, but his eyes remained focused on the other man's back.
"I can explain," he started slowly, his tone even despite the flight response trying to kick in. "My class gives me favorability with beasts and... people with beast traits." He swallowed his nerves. "It's... I can't control it. It's always active."
Min-su cautiously began to sit up. "I, um, think what happened to you is related to your class." Considering everything that happened yesterday, he doubted this man had opened his menu. Min-su pulled the blanket up further over himself, bringing its hem to partially cover his lips after the hand was removed. This was... quite the position he found himself in.

A much taller man. The transformation waited until they had arrived at his apartment, giving him just enough time to pull everything out before a bark from Pepero alerted him to the change.
Thankfully, the man was clothed.
However, he still had to remove his clothes to the best of his ability in order to clean, disinfect, and bandage the injury on his side. Without anything else to put him in, Min-su simply pulled down the original... robe? He didn't entirely know what to call it, only knowing that it was made with fur.
After cleaning the patient up and tucking him into the futon on the floor, Min-su set about with everything else he had planned to do. He cleaned (sort of - someone kept pulling the toys back out), he showered, he did laundry, and he prepared several side dishes to last him a few weeks (or a single week if a certain guest decided to stay long enough).
By the time he was done with his chores, all done as quietly as possible, it was already well into the witching hour. He prepared for bed and grabbed a spare blanket before laying on the sofa.
He was out for only a few hours before he could feel a presence looming over him.
And then a hand over his mouth.
His eyes shot open with alarm, yet he did not make a sound. Pepero, however, immediately barked himself awake from the other side of the room, startling the cats in the process. Min-su blinked his eyes until they focused, registering the face of the man he had patched up. He mumbled into the hand, something along the lines of, you're awake. It wasn't his place to do so, he knew that much, and he was not expecting anything back to begin with.
He let it drop just as quickly as he had brought it up.
Food was more important anyway.
"So?" He blinked at the stranger, head tilting to the side. Pepero whined and mimicked the action; though, the cats did not bother following the leader, too busy rubbing against his legs to look up. Min-su took a cautious step forward, but that caution was only so he could gently shake off the cats and move without stepping on them.
"If you need a reason, hmm..." His lips pressed together, and he glanced over his shoulder at the abandoned food stall. "Ah." He turned back. "You were there. That's help enough to me." Even if it was pure coincidence.
Min-su began to walk out of the alley, clearly in higher spirits than he had been when they met. He quickly doubled back, stuffing the handle of the spatula into the side of his pants. He bent over and scooped up one of the cats: a large orange and white shorthair with green eyes. "Can't let Yakgwa eat the slimes," he carried on, clarifying more to himself, the other animals trailing close behind.
