The closer they drew to the forest, the quieter Min-su became as he took in the sprawling scenery. From afar, the forest had not seen like much. Up close, however? It was as if they stepped into a different world. Then again, he supposed they were in a different world, one similar yet completely different from their own.
It was a lot to take in.

[attr="class","minsu-info"]As the leopard collapsed, Min-su finally and slowly removed his hands. A sigh passed through his lips, relief washing over him. If the snow leopard no longer had any fight left in it, then he could handle the situation without risking anything.
Min-su glanced over his shoulder at the crowd, briefly assessing their reactions, especially the man with the axe. He said nothing as he turned back around to better observe the leopard. An injury on its side, likely inflicted prior to appearing in the HUB. He would have to treat that as soon as possible.
Now, how to go about this...
An adult snow leopard was big, but it wasn't as big as other leopard species. If he compared it to a large dog... Hm... He could do this.
Without wasting another moment, Min-su hoisted the feline up in his arms, one arm supporting the hind legs while the other wrapped around the front. He was mindful of the injury and kept his hand from touching the area surrounding it.

The skin rapidly healed over with a pixelated light, leaving clear skin beyond the punctures in his sleeve. Had this been anywhere else, he might have lost his arm.

Had he gotten through to the snow leopard? Or was it too tired to care anymore? Regardless, Min-su took the opportunity to adjust his hold, shifting around as the leopard moved. It would be dangerous to remove his jacket from the creature's head, so, despite it's clear dislike for the fabric, Min-su persisted in his endeavors to keep it pinned to the leopard's head.
"Do I not taste good?" A gentle laugh followed his words. "We need to get you out of here, leopard-ssi." Somehow. Could he use the waypoints with a stray leopard?

Be they human or beast, the amount of running around and the stress of the current situation would begin to weigh on them sooner or later. The other reason became painfully clear.
A gasp escaped through his lips, eyes widening as sharp teeth sunk into his arm. Even if the system immediately kicked on to heal injuries (or at least stop the bleeding while the teeth were still submerged), it still hurt. Min-su suppressed the urge to let go. He refused to let go.
"See?" The word came with an exhale as Min-su forced his body to relax despite the pain. He ignored the man demanding that he get away. He ignored the crowd. He ignored his pain.

With his hands freed, he set about maneuvering the dark office, relying on what little light made it through the windows and the glow of the flashlight. He searched the cabinets for supplies, first judging what something was by touch before pulling it out to double-check.
Thankfully, the bandages were rather soft. He grabbed a few rolls of gauze wrap, a roll of cloth tape, and what he hoped was a clean towel. He found scissors on the desk, just in case he did not use an entire roll at once.
Min-su whipped around once he was addressed, eyes wide yet more prepared for the use of Min-chan this time. "Ah..." He offers a sheepish smile. "You would be correct."
How could he let someone injured walk away without some form of treatment? The ajumma raised him better than that.
He made his way over to the bed and deposited his medical supply haul on the side table. He rearranged everything so the light from the flashlight would not be blocked, and he turned toward Susame, towel in hand.
Right, he was supposed to be shirtless. That's fine. Everything's fine.
Wow, that's a lot of blood.
"If you'll excuse me," was his only warning that he was starting before he reached out to start wiping the blood away with the towel. His face progressively reddened as he proceeded, and he cleared his throat after a moment. "Ryuko-ssi, could you please hold the flashlight for me?" Leaving it on the side table meant his movements blocked more of the light than his initial worry about the supplies.

Sure, a snow leopard was in a completely different league than a stray cat. That was not reason enough for him to give up.
Min-su tensed his arms to prevent the jerking movements of the leopard's head from shaking off his grip. He moved with the feline, refusing to let any distance grow between them, even as he briefly flinched out of the way of sharp teeth.
He glanced away from the cornered creature and sent a quick look at the crowd, particularly the man with the axe. A silent, don't even try. Hopefully they backed off, but he doubted they would. As long as they stayed away.
Refocusing on the task at hand came with the sudden throw if the feline's head. The intention may have been to harm him so he'd release his hold, but it only partially worked. Min-su used the opportunity to completely wrap his arms around the leopard's head, a faint gasp of pain escaping him from the collision against his chest.
Such recklessness only borne from a safe zone. The pain quickly subsided.

"Pardon me," came the voice again as a young man slowly but surely squeezed his way through the bystanders.
His sole purpose for visiting the hub that day had been to purchase supplies he could no longer easily find in Seoul. It was the splitting scream that kept him there longer than he would have been, mere seconds away from tapping his menu and teleporting away. The sound had drawn his attention, but it was the long fluffy tail barely seen in the distance that dismissed the interface.
Unfortunately for Min-su, he was too late to the party, a crowd already gathering around the scene. Maybe it was because of the virtual space that no one was bothering to step in. Maybe it was because the girl with a once-injured arm had clearly shown pain that they did not want to involve themselves. After all, many came here to escape the dangers of the outside.
"Coming through--" he finally popped out of the crowd and took a split second to regain his balance before he refocused on his task, sparing the party a glance before his eyes locked on the snow leopard. Be it a wild animal or a monster spawned by the system, Min-su had a vague idea of what he needed to do.
And it was probably stupid.
While the feline was overstimulated, he circled around back until was out of the leopard's immediate field of vision. Min-su shrugged off his jacket and folded it in two. Now, for the reckless part.
Min-su did his best to creep toward the leopard, waiting until he was close enough (should he be discovered prematurely, he would lunge to cover the distance). Then, he would pounce to cover as much of the leopard's head as he could with his jacket, primarily focusing on the large cat's eyes and ears. His arms followed suit to keep the fabric secured and to muffle as much of the world around them by blocking the cat's ears.

He has cleaned his little apartment multiple times, already figured out a more or less effective means of keeping the slimes from entering (Pepero's barking helps), and simply carried on with his life despite the lacking population in Seoul. He even gets to travel now!
His head tilted to the side as he thought. "... No." Despite how quickly he adapted, he would not lay the credit on his home. "Rather," he pulled away from what he was doing and turned to point toward the snoozing Sapsali and then to the cats. "They are the reason." A sheepish smile lifted to his lips. "I was a mess after the tutorial. I came home and they were gone."
Min-su returned his attention to his cooking and grabbed a bowl on his way back around. He started filling in the bowls with different side dishes, both from the stovetop and what was already prepared on the counter. "I ran around my entire district with bags of treats," a few sets of ears twitched at the word, "calling for them. I must've looked ridiculous..." He gave a short, nervous laugh. Every jump he witnessed threatened to shave another year off his life from the stress alone. He rubbed at the back of his neck as if it would disperse his nerves, and he held on as she returned with a bright smile. He kept a polite smile on his lips in return.
He followed her pointing finger with his eyes to the dense cluster of trees farther away from the waterfall. They could easily get lost in the woods if they were not careful, but he did not voice his worries. Delphi should be capable of peeking out of the canopy if they got lost, at least where the trees were shorter, and he was at least confident with his own tree climbing skills.
His eyes then followed the next direction she pointed in.
"... Let's stay on this island for now." That received a firm rejection from him. For now, at least. Let him recover from watching Elisande's parkour adventure, first. "The forest might be worth looking into."

The Mother Earth thing would be cute; though, he did not know if the rest of the remaining population would agree. Still, it brought a soft chuckle from him.
He watched with awe as the avatar grew in size. Level up and use the shop. He was still uncertain about the system, but, if it was to repay Earth for attending to his lost pets, he wasn't against it.
The sudden mood change, however, made him flinch. He might have tried moving farther away as if to shrink back, but the cold nose nudging his hand and the cats occupying his lap prevented him from moving too much. Their presence relaxed him, and, upon finding that Earth's outrage was not directed at him, he busied himself to ignore it. Wow, look at all these soft cats! Ahem.
He really did not do well with conflict. Customer service was one thing, but this? He didn't have a category for it.
Earth's avatar soon disappeared, the air lightening as a result. The strays that had been so orderly at the food stall began to scatter as soon as the food ran out. Many made sure to rub their flanks against Min-su as they passed, small mewls or wagging tails in greeting.
His attention turned to the other man--erm... He still didn't know his name, and he'd rather not call him Vincent's bitch. Anti-Hero? Was that also what Earth called him? Sounded like a class.
There was a soft hum of consideration on his lips as the other explained the context behind Earth's prior outburst. It made sense, in a way. Unless this was a game where they would only ever reach a bad end, there should always be a winner.
"It sounds like you have a long journey ahead of you, then." He lifted a hand into the air, and a collar materialized from thin air. He carefully slipped the collar over Pepero's head and adjusted its fit around his neck. Min-su ignored the notification that appeared as its appearance was more than enough confirmation that the Sapsali counted as a beast. "Just... try not to forget that this isn't a single player game."
He almost wanted to add, you're not alone on your journey, but it didn't feel like his place to say such a thing to a stranger.
He slowly stood, the cats removing themselves as he did. Picking up the spatula left behind, Min-su turned toward the other man, a small smile on his lips. "Do you still want that meal?" A brief pause of consideration, his eyes turning to the golden spatula. "... Not using this. I have a human-friendly one." Min-su resigned himself to watching helplessly as Elisande began to climb. Her reassuring smile did little, but he still managed to flash a faint smile of his own in response. He followed her position from the original island, steps slow and cautious as he tried to remain as close to beneath her as possible so he was prepared to catch her if necessary.
Hopefully, it wouldn't be necessary.
He braced himself with every jump, even though he wasn't the one jumping. The farthest leap nearly gave him a heart attack, the islands too far apart yet she still jumped anyway. He only understood her thought process when Delphi gave Elisande the extra push she needed, much like a dolphin performing tricks with its trainer. Only, there wasn't a splashing wave as a result.
Once Elisande was safely on the farther island, relief washed over Min-su, Delphi could finally reach the star map, he released the breath he did not realize he was holding.

Seoul was more or less the same (except for the slimes), but if the Sapsali was to accompany him elsewhere, he needed to know the old dog would be able to focus in any environment.
Now, the decision to start with Los Angeles was purely based on the desire to not throw themselves into immediate danger. Even if the system had registered Pepero as an entity capable of fighting alongside him, Min-su was not ready for it.
A leash tethered the scruffy brown dog to his right hand. The left held two skewers, one of chicken and the other of pork.
At least, that had been just a moment before.
Left hand now emptied, Min-su stared not at the man who had bumped into him but the skewers on the sidewalk. They were not left there for long, an eager set of teeth snatching them off the ground like a child that had just yelled five-second rule!
Min-su quickly crouched down, one hand resting on the dog's back while the other reached for the skewers. "Don't eat the wood--" the thin rods of wood easily slid out of the meat, leaving the rest for Pepero to enjoy. "It's, um... it's fine, really. It happens." Min-su stilled, a slight falter in his otherwise precise movements. Susame was now behind him, too close for comfort despite the small space. Warning bells rang in the back of his head but for all the wrong reasons. Practically raised by his neighbors, he could hear every ajumma from his past griping. They would have swatted Susame away and chased him out of the kitchen.
Min-su was too polite for that.
