There were a great many valid points in Valentine's logic. With that being the case, Sami would have no real choice but to nod along with what he was saying and prepare himself to take on off. "Yeah, I suppose that we should. If anything, we should get started on tracking down this sister of yours. The sooner that we track her down, the quicker we can get to rescuing her." Sami didn't wish to point out that the longer time was drawn out, that the higher her chance of dying would be. If she wasn't already gone from this world. "It'll be alright though. We've got this." A curt nod would be offered to the man as Sami would toss his taser back into his inventory. "Shall we," he would ask while gesturing towards the door. And with that, once Valentine had headed on out of the door, Sami would simply follow. Wherever they were off to next? Only fate would know.

Even with the ingenuity of the two coming into play in a manner that would be considered rather effective, Sami would still find himself being blasted to hell by a laser beam from one of the mech raptors. The shield that he had produced hadn't been nearly as effective as he had hoped it would be but at least it had managed to protect him from a bit of the overall damage. Not that he would really even notice this, what with his entire body feeling as though it was burning. Cries of agony filled shouting would ripple through the air as Sami would begin to think over this situation. It would honestly be better if he were to just flee now.. Much like the voice from earlier had said. Seeing how things were going now though, Sami couldn't help but feel as though it would be better for him to turn tail and run now.

One of the mech raptors had already been dashing off as it had found itself overcome by the [Fear] condition. Perhaps this was due to the weaponry that Valentine had found themselves using, after all this time, or perhaps it was due to the fact that it had been taking quite a few hits overall. Honestly unsure of what exactly the correct answer here had been, despite the fact that he had felt as though he was on the verge of collapsing, Sami would use the last of his strength to get up and charge towards the fleeing Mech Raptor. His knuckles had practically been white from how tightly he had been holding onto his taser.. and yet again, he would proceed to attempt to slam his weapon into the hindquarters of the fleeing beast. This.. was likely to be the final straw in whatever he could do. If it wasn't..? Well he would likely collapse and find himself lost within his mind.

From what he could tell, his blows were slowly managing to work their way up to damaging the mech raptor that he had continuously bombarded. Pair that up with the surging and freaking out that both of the raptors had been undergoing at the moment and it was starting to look as though they were gaining some leverage here. Of course it wasn't by much, given the vast difference in the skills between these creatures and the players themselves. Honestly, once the mech raptors had begun to produce mandibles, Sami had begun to realize just how wrong he had been about all of this.

What options would present themselves to him here? Should he run? Or should he try and stay here to fight? One one hand, he had already resolved himself to stay here and present a distraction so that Valentine could run away. And yet, on the other, Valentine had decided to stick behind and attempt to get involved. This whole situation had been a mess. 'Well it looks like you're stuck.' 'Fated to die here.' 'Unable to do any of the things that you set out to do.' 'Is this where you want to give in? Of course not. Don't remain stubborn. If all else fails after your next attempt, and you somehow survive, then be smart and just get your ass out of here.' Everything was starting to fall apart and Sami was going to need to find a way to put an end to this situation.. How would he go about it?

Seeing as how he was left with no real options at the moment, Sami would simply resolve himself and continue to push on. He wasn't all that fast nor that strong. Hell, he could barely defend himself. Was he going to make it out of here? Who knows. All that Sami did know was that he was keen on attempting to take at least one of these things out with him. Putting forth all that he had left in him, Sami would thrust his taser forward once more. Whether it had successfully connected or not, the moment that Sami would see that this things mandibles (or any other attack) was coming at him, Sami would be sure to activate his ability: own safety. Hopefully before an attack could connect with him, a straight jacket would manifest around his person and protect him to a degree.

It would take everything within the man not to burst out laughing as he had been questioned about the possibility of a headshot. While most guns had been out of commission for sure, that wasn't entirely true. Pair that with the fact that there are other ways to blast someone in the skull without a gun and it was almost laughable. "Enigmaaa, my friiiiend. You don't need a gun to kill people anymore..!! We live in a world of magic now~ And just as easily as one could have died via a bullet in the past, in this newfound present of ours, I wouldn't be too surprised if there were those that could compress their magic to resemble bullets or arrows. Hell, even a sharp enough feather would work!!" Taking a moment to level his taser towards Enigma like a gun, Sami would fake shooting from it by pulling it back. "And of course there are always ways around the system restrictions~ In fact, I know someone that is fully capable of using a gun at the moment."

Taking a moment to place a single foot behind him and than using that foot to spin around, Sami would find himself finally allowing that laughter to break free of its confines. It was a more reserved laughter than it perhaps would have been earlier but at least it was out and about now. "And help?" Using his free hand to tap away at his chin, Sami would ponder something. "I suppose that you could call it that. I was simply thinking that it might be more fun to have someone along for the journey. We are all going to need to work on getting stronger after all. Either that or die. Of course, I suppose that hiding away in the [Safe Zone]'s is also an option if that is something that you would like to do." A strange sense of Deja vu would wash over the man as he had said this last bit. Had he said it earlier? He quite honestly couldn't remember. "You seem like the kind of guy that wants to get stronger though~"

So it would seem as though they weren't about to figure anything out. No, it was going to devolve into a further argument. The exact thing that he had been working to avoid up to this point. And now? Well there was no turning back from it. Rather than even get angry at the things that she would say, Samuel would simply nod to himself a few times. This wasn't going to get anywhere and at this point, the two would likely tear one another apart. Knowing that it both wasn't worth it and that he wouldn't come out on top, Samuel would simply watch her go. A few simpler actions would take place from here as he would proceed to remove himself from the Guild. No point in causing further problems than the ones that he already had. From here, the man would simply rise up to his feet atop of the ledge and would walk to the other side of the building. If he could find another way down or across to another building than great. But if not? Well he would simply remain there. 'It would seem as though you've gone and hurt another one. Truly unfortunate. You'd be better off on your own. At least that way we can't cause any more problems.'

Much like he had hoped for, Valentine had currently refused to come out from his hiding. While this might have meant a more dangerous predicament for the guild leader, it was something that he was hoping would buy the man some time to escape. Or to at least formulate a plan in which he would jump on in. Either way, all eyes were on Sami now. Quite literally, seeing how the mech raptors had now been eyeing the man.

From one machine to another, the mech raptors would prepare themselves before launching into their prey. This was... a horribly dangerous situation for him to have found himself. And yet there was nothing that he could do here if not fight back. There was no way that Sami was going to be taking a penalty if he could help it. He would rather die here than take a penalty. Not allowing himself to give in to the fear that his body had been attempting to instill upon him, the man would mentally command his system to throw all of his stats into his willpower. The one thing that could perhaps allow him to upgrade his skill, if he manages to get a good enough increase. Of course it would all come down to what the system had decided to do to him.

In the next moment, several holographic notifications would begin to wash over the mans vision. Not only had he managed to creep up all the way to level eight but he now had a new ability? One that he wouldn't have too much time to look over as the mech raptors would begin to encircle him. Both thankfully and not thankfully, the man had been prepared to this to an extent. The reason that it is something to be both thankful and not thankful for was rather simple. Once the first creature had leapt into him and dug into his chest with its horrid claws, causing the man to spit up blood whilst even more had begun to pour forth from his wound, Samuel would find that his taser had made contact with the mech raptor. Compared to the amount of damage this thing had just dealt to him, it wasn't a ton of damage, but at least it was something. And as for the secondary attack that had come for his other side? Well much like with the first attack, there was simply nothing that he could do to defend himself here.

Already finding that he was already losing more blood than he had been hoping for, Samuel would decide to place his trust in this new ability of his. Mind Break. With the ability having been mentally activated, an aura of mental energy would burst outward from the man and begin to overtake the two beasts that had been within his range. Violent ripples of power would begin to push their way through this aura and would manifest their own destructive abilities against the mech raptors. Not nearly as impactful as their claw attacks had been against him, the ability would continue to work its wonders. If it had worked in the way that it should, after having been affected by the violent ripples of power, these Mech Raptors would be faced with crippling visions that should make it easier to both hit them and to evade their attacks.

If at all permitted to do so, after allowing for his ability to overtake the mechanical assholes that had been trying to kill him, Sami would attempt to jab out at the Mech Raptor that he had hit before. If he could take down at least one of these things than at least it would make his death worth it. Of course there was no guarantee that the man would die. Simply bull headed stubbornness that might lead to it. All that one could hope for in this instance was that he could overcome these damned things. It was too early on for him to die out now.
