It was just an average day for young Sami as the mad lad had maneuvered throughout the streets of Seoul. He had only recently finished up another encounter with a man that had gone on to become one of his guildmates and decided that it was time to work on empowering himself. If he was going to continue to act as the head of a guild than he wasn't about to let the world make his struggle. No, he would never face that weakness again. Not if he could help it, that is.

With the fact that Seoul had been considered a [Low-Risk] location, Samuel couldn't help but decide that this was a good enough place to grind out some experience points. Properly utilizing these slimes was going to be a smidge difficult but if he could get a handle on it than his potential could skyrocket. It is for this very reason that Samuel now stood outside of a convenience store. Standing face to face with a single slime, Sami would grip his taser rather tightly. He wasn't sure what it was about these things.. but for some reason they had made him think of Pori. And she wasn't even an actual slime! That just had to do with her class.

Knowing that he had already come too far to pull himself back, Samuel would begin to rush towards one of the many slimes that had inhabited the area. With a quick jab from the man, he would attempt to electrify the slime with his taser. Before he could even fully close the distance between them though, the slime would leap out at Samuel and knock him to the ground. Upon coming into contact with the ooze, Sami couldn't help but feel revolted. It was like someone had just punched him with a pack of Jell-O... "Tch." Not allowing himself to be taken advantage of by a lowly slime, Sami would wait for the ooze to leap out at him again. As it had done so, the mad lad would shove his taser on forward and would shock the core of the ooze, causing it to burst into bouts of pixels. "Ahahaha!" 'No need to be so proud of yourself, Samuel. It isn't as though they are all that difficult to take on.' 'Yeah! You should be slaughtering these things by the dozen!' '...why can't you just die already?' The voices.. It was quite likely that they would never go away. If only others could hear them too.. Well, outside of when they were forced to be displayed.

With a whimsical shrug, the grey haired man would swivel about and turn to face the newcomer. This individual had donned a mask of sorts which had honestly felt rather suspicious. Given that the man had chosen to converse as opposed to attack though, Sami had decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. "Yeah, they are pretty damn week. Especially compared to a few of the things that I've fought in this area. Not that you'll hear me complaining about it. I mean, honestly, these things are great to grind out for a few extra bits of experience in the early levels. And with the way that the world is going at this point? Well it's going to prove rather useful to have all the extra experience that we can get."

Adding in a couple of curt nods in between each of his major points, Sami would continue on. "As for it being stranger here than it is out in the North American areas? ...well things are certainly different. For one, there aren't any [Safe Zone]'s out here. Even where we are now is nothing more than a [Low-Risk] area. Which is boooooriiiiing..!! I'm only out here to get a bit stronger before taking on the most dangerous places." Taking a moment to close the distance between the two of them, Sami would offer the masked man a rather toothy grin. "And you? What is it that brought you out here? Hmm?"

A drink to be shared with a stranger? Not the best idea, if he were being honest. But certainly a tempting one! Having been smarter than that though, Sami would have no choice but to wave off the whole thing. "While I appreciate the gesture, I don't believe that it would be wise." Thinking quick on his feet, Sami would spout off a lie like it were nothing. "I'm going to need to remain sober if I want a clear head, yeah?" A shrill bit of laughter would break free of the mans lips before Sami would waddle on closer to the man.

Taking a moment to eye up the bottle of Soju, Sami would remain silent for a moment. After that moment had passed, he would continue on as though nothing had changed. "There are a few [Safe Zone]'s to be found but none of them exist within East Asia. Not at the moment anyways~ If you are looking to find one though, I would suggest taking a trip to The Hub. Through there, it is rather easy to gather information on the other places that are out and about. From my understanding, the only [Safe Zone]'s that exist at the moment are London, Unison Central, Los Angeles, and The Hub. While I can personally vouch for Los Angeles and The Hub, I must admit that I have yet to visit the other two locations. If I am remembering correctly though, Unison Central should be within what was formerly known as Switzerland. Or I suppose that it still is?"

Completely unsure if that much had been the truth, Sami would tilt his head off to the side and simply shrug. It wasn't a huge deal to him what places had previously been, now that they had lived within this fascinating new world of theirs. The one that was rather likely to lead to his ruin if he wasn't all that careful. "Soooo anyways, Mr. Soju-Drinker, what is it that really brings you out here? Is it simply to have fun while you can? Because if that is truly the case than you'll likely have to ally with others fast. Those that are unable to defend themselves will become the food of these beasts if they aren't careful." He would than begin to gesture out towards the various slimes that inhabited the field. "Perhaps not these beasts but monsters nonetheless."

A main character.. Honestly, that would have been nice. If Sami could have found himself in such a role than he was certain that he would have cleared the streets of Seoul rather easily. Given that there was no such thing as a main character or a protagonist in the real world though, he would simply have to settle for being mediocre ol' him. Someone that had various ups and downs and would ultimately come to meet his end at the hands of either old age or these hellish beasts. Quite frankly, it was far more likely for it to be monsters though.

"Enigma, huh? I suppose that I could have guessed that, given the mask that you are wearing. Certainly an enigmatic individual. But at least your mask has holes where your eyes and mouth should be..!! Good for smoking and being able to see but bad for anyone that has it out for you. I mean, let's be real here, the best place to aim for when trying to kill them is the head." Sami would lightly tap away at the site of his head as he would say this, almost as though he was attempting to put the mental image into this enigmatic individual's head. "As for who I am? Well I'm Sami. Dragon of the Genesis of Ragnarök. Or former dragon? It's all in the past now."

Opting to wave off the issues of the past, Sami would proceed to quite literally wave away his issues. "I suppose that if anything, you could simply consider me a freelancer for now. Or a solo leveler of sorts? It really all comes down to whether or not people are willing to work by my side or not. At the moment though, I suppose that it's fine to be off on my own. Better that way. Otherwise teenage slimes find themselves upset." A simple shrug would be offered in response. Yet another thing that he didn't wish to think about any further. It would only bring on a headache if he were to continue. "Thoughts on striking out against some of these beasties, Mr. Enigma?"

It would take everything within the man not to burst out laughing as he had been questioned about the possibility of a headshot. While most guns had been out of commission for sure, that wasn't entirely true. Pair that with the fact that there are other ways to blast someone in the skull without a gun and it was almost laughable. "Enigmaaa, my friiiiend. You don't need a gun to kill people anymore..!! We live in a world of magic now~ And just as easily as one could have died via a bullet in the past, in this newfound present of ours, I wouldn't be too surprised if there were those that could compress their magic to resemble bullets or arrows. Hell, even a sharp enough feather would work!!" Taking a moment to level his taser towards Enigma like a gun, Sami would fake shooting from it by pulling it back. "And of course there are always ways around the system restrictions~ In fact, I know someone that is fully capable of using a gun at the moment."

Taking a moment to place a single foot behind him and than using that foot to spin around, Sami would find himself finally allowing that laughter to break free of its confines. It was a more reserved laughter than it perhaps would have been earlier but at least it was out and about now. "And help?" Using his free hand to tap away at his chin, Sami would ponder something. "I suppose that you could call it that. I was simply thinking that it might be more fun to have someone along for the journey. We are all going to need to work on getting stronger after all. Either that or die. Of course, I suppose that hiding away in the [Safe Zone]'s is also an option if that is something that you would like to do." A strange sense of Deja vu would wash over the man as he had said this last bit. Had he said it earlier? He quite honestly couldn't remember. "You seem like the kind of guy that wants to get stronger though~"

A high ranker.. That was certainly something that Sami had gone around considering himself. As far as he is aware, he is one of the few people at the moment that have managed to clear their way into the double digits for levels. At least of the people that he is aware of, anyways. Even with that having been the case though, it wasn't as though Sami was all that powerful. At most, he simply wouldn't be all that bothered by the majority of illusions or really anything that could try and tamper with his mind or soul. At some point that would have to change but for now? For now he was focused on upgrading his abilities to see where he could take them and the kinds of changes that the system would provide.

"I can understand where you are coming from. All of that is something that I have chosen to place on the backburner though. That whole imagining the benefits thing. It'll likely be quite awhile before the world finds itself balancing out into some semblance of what it used to be. Even in the novels, they tend to just kind of skip past the beginning parts and work their way out towards the overpowered protagonist bits. Of course, those overpowered MC's tend to spawn from the lowest of ranked individuals. Who knows? Maybe we'll be overrun by some weakling in the future."

An understandable reaction from the enigmatic individual. Protagonists usually cared more for the needs of their adventuring troupe than they had for the everyday person. In fact, depending on the novel, it was entirely likely that these protagonists would find themselves carrying far too much for their troupe until one of their people was taken away from them. That was usually when everything had turned to shit. "You're a smart man, Enigma. Certainly leaving me keen to know just whom is under that mask~ I won't pry of course..!! That is just far too much work for someone like me."

As Sami had continued speaking with the masked man, a few more slimes would drag their forms alongside the pavement and would begin to close in on the group. Sami had noticed them without too much trouble but had put off paying attention to them for the time being. Instead of distracting himself with the slow moving creatures, Sami would take the time to open up his holographic display menu and would take the time to send a friend request on over to Enigma. "There you are. At least this way we can take the time to message on another. To a degree, anyways."

It wouldn't take long before one of the slimes would jolt off of the ground and would hurl itself towards the conversing pair. Figuring that he might as well handle the situation while it was present, Sami would jut his arm out towards the slime and would slam his taser into it, shocking the thing with enough force to cause it to lose form. "Ugh.. Disgusting."
