Much like he had previously agreed to do, Sami had currently found himself entering this Neo-Tokyo. He had been to the original Tokyo once before on a vacation but now? Well things were a bit more complicated now that Earth-Chan had gotten involved. It was almost as though the entire ordeal had upended the entirety of the area and revitalized it into something new. Something that had been filled all sorts of mechanical beings and highly advanced technology, from what he had gathered at The Hub.

"Er.. Right." Rather than try and worry about what else was going on out here, Sami would simply nod in response to Valentine's words and would trot along beside him. There wasn't much affect put into concealing himself out here, unfortunately. While it was true that the man had found himself on watch, so that he wasn't brought down by the mecha's that had inhabited this area, Samuel honestly didn't find himself all that anxious to be here. "I suppose that we should be prepared for anything, right?" After having said this much, the man would throw open his inventory before digging around inside of it and procuring his taser. "Hopefully we can track your sister down out here."

A whimsical shrug was all that would be offered in response to the thanks. It was something that Sami had agreed to and honestly, he didn't mind Valentine. There wasn't any real reason for him to try and pull the wool over the mans eyes after coming this far. Especially not while he had needed him for the guild work. "It's no big deal man. We had come to a mutual agreement and as such, I saw no reason to go back on my word. I am going to need you to perform at your top performance in the future so it's fine. Besiiiides, it'll be far more fun this way. This is a [High Risk] zone after all! Stronger enemies leads to better experience and higher loot chances."

Once the two had walked fully into the arcade and had begun to be directed in a specific direction, a slick smirk would begin to appear upon the man face. "I feel like it would be rather stupid to follow the one place that this building wants to go. I mean, this is an arcade! Anything that is in here should be accessible, right? So why would we follow the arrows into what is quite likely to be a trap?" Even if Sami was a rather mad lad mentally, he was still exceedingly logical. Before his mind had begun to deteriorate, he had managed to obtain his degree even. "Do you think that your sister would fall for such a thing?" In truth, Sami had know practically nothing about this sister. How old was she? What exactly did she look like? These were all things that he just wasn't sure of.

There didn't seem to be any sign of it, other than the jarring sound of something... other. An electronic rasp could be heard echoing through the building, growing louder with each raspy click. It was difficult to discern at first, not sounding like any living being that existed. After the strange cry, it was followed by the sounds of beeping and machinery whirring, and soon, a blue light would flood the area they were in, a scanner starting from one end to the other, sweeping across as it tried to detect something. Shortly after, the source of the noise and the scanning would reveal itself. Two large raptor-like mechs stepping out from around the corner, their armoured bodies bumping into one another, causing them to hiss and flash their lights at one another. It was a quick squabble, and they soon made their way into the room. Like well-trained operatives, the mechs would go on each side of the room, their beeping and alien cry signifying where they were. Another wave of light would flash through the room, looking to scan for any signs of life.

Valentine heard it before he felt it, bristling ran down his back and he could feel the hair on the back of his neck rise slightly, it was that feeling he often got when people and things were within his immediate vicinity. "Well, obviously there's something here..." Valentine said, ducking down he kept his knees bent and would lean his body forward in case he had to bolt from his current position, a runner's stance. Valentine had realized that his abilities were often only suited to scouting, but being a scout wasn't just about knowing what was around you, it was surviving to tell the others, to inform the others. Valentine wanted to astral project, one of the bread and butter of his class, but he found himself wondering if it would be the smartest idea. The electronic rasp rang out again, and then Valentine knew it was too late, as he saw a bright blue light in the distance, scanning from one section of the room to the next. [break][break]

One thought rose into Valentine's mind as he spotted the creatures in the distance, these things were some type of mechanical beast the likes of which he had never seen before. Terror shot through him, what the hell was he supposed to do against such a thing? Though what he did know was that staying here out in the open would be of no benefit to him. Fighting these monsters head-on might be possible for more damage-oriented classes like his brothers, possibly even Pori, but for him and Sami a head-on fight would just result in injury or death so they had to use what both of them had in abundance; wit. [break][break]

Valentine responded back to Sami's hushed whispers with his own; "possibly, but wouldn't that mean that it's monitoring us? Or do you think this was just some kind of preset system?" Valentine, said, after all, this all could just be an automated set of actions put in place. Which, if he was being honest he much preferred to that of being actively watched and monitored.[break][break]

The blue light could be seen scanning again, it was clear these bestial-looking mechs were searching for signs of life, or at least that's what he figured because what the hell else would they be searching besides two potential people that just entered? Valentine wondered, what they could do, where they could go, then Sami spoke again, he crouched low alongside Sami following his lead, Valentine nodded in agreement, "Yeah, okay, we need more info if we hope to win against whatever those things are" he said in a hushed whisper as he was on his hands and knees, still in a running position. Fear plagued his mind just a bit more. [break][break]

Valentine nodded to Sami's words, and Valentine knew he was right, getting the high ground could potentially give them a better chance with enemies especially if they could funnel them into an enclosed space, but it was a double-edged sword, doing such could mean they have no way of escaping themselves, being potentially being stuck on a roof, especially with these animal mechs, well... That didn't seem very fun. Regardless, they'd have to fight, but Valentine didn't plan on doing such head-on, nor did he plan on fully running, if the mechs had been sent after them if they were being monitored, doing such would amount to nothing besides them being chased forever. No, this wasn't running, it was repositioning, trying to turn the environment around to their favor. [break][break]

Alongside Sami, while crouched Valentine would also begin to trek along the wall and beneath arcade games towards the stairwell that had been nearby. He moved using only the balls of his feet in an effort to try and reduce the amount of sound he made from his footsteps. Hopefully, they'd be able to avoid the creatures momentarily, if he could get away from them and astral project, perhaps he could examine these creatures in greater detail, to find a weakness, to find a way for a scout and controller to be victorious because right now they were lacking in the greatest advantage to this whole ordeal: Knowledge about their enemy. Doing his best to try and snake beneath the arcade machines and off towards the stairwell, Sami had begun to feel as though he might just make it on out of there. From the looks of it, it was possible but rather unlikely. Could he make his way there in time before the machines had noticed him? The answer was a resounding no. As he had attempted to make his way away from the scene, the sound of both his and Valentine's voices would fill the room. Not because the two were speaking in raised voices but because this place had been messing with then.. In ways that he quite honestly wouldn't ever have but should have expected. Of course these things could still hear them.. They were machines.

Somewhat distracted by the fact that their own voice was playing in their ears, Sami would make a dire mistake. He would attempt to locate the source of his voice by peaking behind him. Upon doing so though, the man would unfortunately bump into the leg of one of the arcade machines, thus making far more noise than he had initially intended to. The lights on the machine that he had bumped into would begin to flare to life, signaling exactly where he had been. 'Oh dear..' 'Look there, Sami-boy. It seems as though your death is near.' 'Yes! Yes!! It's time for a gruesome fight you level five noob!~'

Although he didn't wish to agree with anything that the voices was saying, Sami could see the logic in what they were saying. If he didn't act now, to try and take out at least one of these beasts, then he would ultimately end up putting both Valentine and himself in danger. That having been the case, there was only one real option left for the man. Rather than risk his newfound companion, Sami would act in the selfless manner that a guild leader should. Or vice leader. It was all the same to him. Either way, Sami would begin to throw himself from out under the arcade machine and would begin to immediately look around. Much like one of the voices had mentioned, at this point in time, Sami had been level five. Due to that, there was really only one course of action that he could take here.. He would have to make use of the taser that he had held in hand. Once he had managed to track down one of the mech raptors, whom had currently been raised above his position, Sami would begin to rush towards the nearest one. If he were able to get close to one of them before they could act then he would shove his taser into their chassis and light them up with his taser. On the other hand, if they had closed in on him before he had a chance to really do anything, he would do the same thing but once he had the chance... Likely after they had wrought their attack(s) against him.

The light eventually stopped scanning, and the prongs flicked shut in their jaws. They already knew what they needed to know, and gave each other a single glance with their LED eyes. This, paired with the light bump and activated of an arcade machine, sent the two raptors into a blood-thirsty frenzy. The warm orange glow turned into a harsh red light, and then both started leaping from arcade machine to arcade machine. [break][break]

Like literal velociraptors, the much larger mechs would lunge forwards with their tail extended behind them and their large claws reached outwards. Coming in from both angles, they would aim to pounce on Sami one at a time, attempting to slash through his chest with the razor-sharp, metal talons they had attached to their feet. Their heavy bodies would collide with the nearby machines, causing them to spark and break. Once the attack commenced, every screen on the arcade machines would change to an avatar of earth-chan laughing. [break][break]

Valentine watched from his hidden position, fear gripping his mind, he didn't know what to do at this moment he didn't truly have any offensive options so what help would he be able to offer? He watched as the mechs were making their way toward Sami, their machinery at work as they began to attack. Valentine couldn't wait any longer, it had to be now or never, but as to what he was going to do, even he didn't know. Valentine instead wracked his brain for anything possible, anything he could do to try and split the focus of those creatures from Sami, especially as they encircled him. [break][break]

Valentine's thoughts flew in every direction, wondering if he could astral project, to potentially see if the creatures, had any weaknesses from afar, but he also realized that astral projection would do nothing but keep Sami as a target, even if he could get information on the creatures from afar what could he do with it now when his only party member was already in the middle of the fray? Valentine looked around for anything he could find, anything he could use to perhaps give him even the slightest advantage.[break][break]

Unfortunately for him, all he could find were power cords on the ground ones that ran to and from the arcade machines that littered the neon buildings' halls. He ran over toward the mechs, hoping to stay out of their view as they were distracted by Sami who was fighting back for all he had.[break][break]

Valentine grabbed the nearest cord toward him, one that seemed long and would have some leeway in order to pull further, he followed the cord as he ran, letting one finger drape over it as he moved, the creatures were attempting to deliver attacks to Sami, Sami of who was fighting back. Then Valentine saw holographic screams appear around Sami, a skill of some sort went off, at least he thinks it did, considering the ominous aura that circulated outward.[break][break]

Valentine ran forward, his heart thundering in his chest, as he gripped the cord within his hands, folding one hand of cord over the other he attempted to make a simple circle of cord, enough to try and lasso a limb if at all possible. H dipped down slightly leaning forward he attempted to drive his right shoulder into the mech that wasn't being aimed at by Sami, hoping to split their attention. Trying to knock it off balance with every bit of speed and force he could muster into his meager tackle. [break][break]

Though he had always been a man based on self-preservation. Valentine in good conscious couldn't leave Sami to get attacked on his own, especially when he was only here to uphold his deal of helping him look for his sister. Taking the cord and swinging it outward Valentine would attempt to lasso one of the mechs extremities. Though he had no idea how little this gamble would work if it all, he felt he couldn't leave Sami to attack the creatures all by his lonesome, he had no plan, for now, simply reacting on instincts of what he thought would be best.
