With the last tackle, the Terracotta Sentinel fell from Lowell and his pack's claws. The golem's body broke as it smashed through the ground, leaving the once-horrifying monster shattered in pieces. Upon seeing this, Lowell froze for a while to see their success and with a big howl, the Shades followed as his body slowly reverted back to his human form (with his clothes surprisingly intact), leaving him to sigh afterward. "Man, that was a close call. Glad you're there to help us out, huh, Hanae?"

But when he turned around, the young lady who aided him seemed to disappear. He looked around to see if she left something. But even if he mentally asked his wolves for help, they only answered with shaking heads. "Odd... At least she might leave a note or something." He sighed in dismay. "Anyways, now we're done here, we should be able to start getting through the labyrinth now."

Just as he said this, the door behind the crumbled golem opened, revealing a large room with walls spread through the area. As Lowell and his shadow wolves stepped through it, the door behind them closed shut, startling the pack. Lowell, on the other hand, sighed and took a closer look at the path ahead. "It really is a maze. Judging by the size of the walls, there's no way we can climb up there. Although that's the whole point of this "tutorial"." Lowell sighed and turned to one of his wolves. "Think you guys sniff the right path and some traps here? We need to hurry, but we also need to be careful with any tricks coming right at us."

All of them barked as one of them stepped forward and started sniffing through the path and the others stood beside their master while sniffing around as he began to traversed through the labyrinth. Unknown to him, a fourth wolf appeared from the shadow, yet guarded Lowell from behind.

Lowell was amazed to see many players gathered for this occasion. Not only they were here to join Utopia, but players from other guilds were here to witness the start of the new beginning. Even meeting Idir once more made him smile after hearing his short speech. "I'm glad to be part of the project, too. If it wasn't for my wolves, I would have treated the monsters here as video game ones. Hopefully, we might spread awareness about the monsters' sentience and avoid misunderstandings with them."

While he was currently chatting with other members and players, Shadow noticed one of the Waddle-Dees approached one of the potential new members named Jin. Curious and a bit envious, the [Howling Shade] approached him and happily barked to get its attention. Hopefully, he might able to get a pet just like the Waddle-Dee.

While Dee Dee was busy greeting guests and new members, Lowell was busy acting as a waiter offering food to them. And while Cloak was busy playing with the other summons, he wasn't alone for long as another [Howling Shade] appeared and silently offered to help his summoner. "Thanks, Shadow." But as he stood up, he noticed a woman approaching him. She was one of the players he greeted, so it didn't take long for him to respond. "Nice to meet you, Raina. I'm glad you're joining Utopia." He then offered a handshake to her.

After that, he turned to the new guest, whom he recognized as someone from another guild. "Welcome to Utopia's guild hall," Lowell greeted as he slowly approached Hana. "I'm happy to have the leader of ANTHEM with us." Shadow happily barked as he also approached the musician. "Easy, boy. Sorry about my [Howling Shade], he's a bit energetic thanks to this gathering."

Lowell smiled as he took the warmers from Dee Dee. "Sure. I have some time left before the new potential members arrive. Cloak, be nice to the summons and guests when they arrive." His wolf barked before going back to play with Dee Dee's summons. As for the summoner himself, he set up the warmers Dee Dee asked him to before he turned to her again. "That's a relief. While I like the guild, it's a bit lacking in terms of manpower. I do plan to take some missions for Utopia, so I can't linger in the guild hall after the holidays."

Just then, he met a strange face he hadn't seen since he joined Utopia entering the mess hall. Of course, upon seeing the masked man's wolf, Cloak happily approached them and greeted them with a bark. "Oh, hello, sir! Sorry about my [Howling Shade]. She's been very excited meeting with new people around here. My name is Lowell, are you also part of Utopia?"

Speaking of new faces, Lowell noticed some new people entering the hall. He didn't say much since he wanted the co-founders to introduce themselves first. Once he got the chance, he approached the new people and offered them a handshake. "Don't worry. We have enough for the new and old to enjoy for this gathering," Lowell added. "Before I forget, my name is Lowell. I'm a recent member, but I'm happy to help you if you're interested." Once he's finished with his introduction, his wolf also greeted the new faces with a happy howl. "And this is one of my [Howling Shades], Cloak. She's one of my pack's powerhouses, but I promise she won't bite."

It seemed like Dee Dee wasn't the only summoner in the mess hall as Lowell entered with his [Howling Shade], Cloak by his side. It took him a while to arrive as he went back from hunting with his wolves and he had to take a bath because it would be rude for him to enter the mess hall covered by grime and mud. His wolf happily barked to Dee Dee's friends while Lowell waved at the guild master.

"Sorry for being late, guild master. We kinda got overboard with the hunt earlier and had to take a bath. The extra time has gone to disciplining Shredder for refusing a bath." Lowell sheepishly chuckled before looking around the mess hall. "Looks like everything's ready here for the new members. Where are the other members?" While he was speaking with Dee Dee, Cloak tried to convince her summons to play with her.

Lowell smiled once he saw the remaining gravestones were squeaky clean. He transformed back to his human form and joined Kurai as they admired the newly repaired graves. Then, he felt a chill that seemed a bit gentler than before. But he didn't react in fear, but to his relief that the deceased seemed to be delighted to see their resting places were good as new. He wished he knew who were the troublemakers who vandalized the graves, but that's one story he would have to figure out another day. Besides, they were done with their Mission and their surveys.

"Yeah. All that's left for them is to rest in peace." Lowell turned to the now-invisible spirits as his pack bowed their heads before he did the same. "We wish you well in your time of peace." He and his pack then joined Kurai and headed out of the island as their job has finished. Hopefully, they will visit again to pray and respect the deceased once more.

Following Seere's suggestion, Lowell bought several chisels from the store and started carving some stones. Of all the skills he learned back in the real world, he was somewhat decent at stone carving. He wasn't perfect at it, but he made statues to pass art classes. So after a few hours of carving (and cutting through stones thanks to his wolves' assistance), he managed to make rugged, yet readable gravestones.

"This should be enough. Too bad the old gravestones are too broken for us to read their names. We apologize for that." Lowell transformed into his werewolf form to use his claws to make some finishing touches. Then he gingerly placed them in the graves and sighed as he stared at the fruits of his labor. "I hope this is enough for you." He turned his lupine head to his party mate and his summon. "How's the clean-up, you two?" He asked.

Lowell didn't hesitate to follow Cloak to the location in question. When the wolf stopped, she pointed to their right and he gasped to see some gravestones now in ruins. The rubble was scattered around their feet and it seemed like the remaining stones were vandalized with graffiti. He couldn't believe what he just saw. He heard not many of the players visited this isle lately, yet he was horrified and disgusted to see the damage.

"How terrible..." Lowell muttered. "Who would do this? No wonder why you couldn't rest peacefully." He turned to his pack and mentally summoned his fourth wolf while picking up a few pieces on the ground. "We can clean up the graffiti, but I don't know how we can repair the gravestones. We can try carving some nearby stones, but it would take more than my transformation."

He hummed in thought. Lowell would try to become a werewolf to work on the stones. But he wasn't confident when it came to stone carving especially since he had to do it with claws. He then turned to Kurai next. "Any ideas? It doesn't have to be too complex for us to do with them."

Lowell nodded at Kurai's response to his statement about the monsters. While many hostile monsters might endanger their survival, some were only focused on surviving than attacking humans. It might be impossible, but if they continued with this research and survey, there might be a chance they might co-exist with these creatures in this world. While his Howling Shades were part of his class, he knew it might be the same with the friendly monsters.

With Kurai's command after recording their survey, they headed off with Seere taking the lead and arrived in front of the five gravestones. Lowell ordered his wolves to look around while he stayed beside his partner. "Probably a spirit or monster in that same typing. If one of our summons could detect it..."

As the tour continued, Lowell became more and more amazed at not only the guild hall so far but also the guild leader herself. From the word bubble translating her thoughts to them, he was surprised how many skills she learned all because of her favorite Kirby character. He reminded her of himself as his desire to research mythology and legends came from his love of werewolves. But he felt a bit sorry for her during her bullying days and he felt that she was blessed to have a good life afterward before the strange game-like world appeared to them.

Once they arrived at the mess hall, Lowell's expectations of it came true as he looked around the room in awe with his [Howling Shades] panted happily. Not only he was impressed at the work she did on it, but the tables, chairs, and even the utensils were well-made for something homemade by Dee Dee. He really needed to ask her some lessons in making them because he couldn't help but stare at them in awe. Thankfully, his awe was brief when Dee Dee suggested they should eat before proceeding with the rest of the tour. He already heard his tummy rumbling and his wolves were already jumping in joy upon hearing this news.

With the last of the enemies defeated, Lowell growled as his body slowly transformed back into his human form. He smiled as he watched the party relax after a grueling fight. His wolves even howled victoriously before running to greet their summoner. "Other than a few scratches and bruises, me and my pack are doing fine." His wolves also responded with several barks to everyone else. "Still, I never expect our welcome party to be very fitting with the island we're in."

He then looked around to check on the other members. Idir seemed unscathed after his transformation, the girl with the Waddle-Dees and other summons was also safe, and the singer along with the non-combatants was also in the same state. Either way, they managed to avoid the worst outcome. "What now? Should we move forward or take a break for tonight?" He asked. "I don't know what other monsters we'll be facing next if we continue without any rest from our boat trip."

Lowell nodded after hearing Kurai's theory, which was right on the money. With the surveys conducted left and right thanks to S.I.G.M.A, it was a relief to see some creatures were not as territorial as he expected. "That is true, which makes protecting some of them from the wrong hands much more important once the survey period is done. There's a chance they might kill them and we can't let them go willy-nilly for points and mission rewards."

After telling him that they needed to move on, Lowell turned to his wolves. "You heard him, guys. Time to say goodbye to our new friends." The Howling Shades including the monster whined when they heard this. "Don't worry. Once we're done with the Mission and survey, we'll come back to play with it again." Hearing this, both parties said their farewells before the wolves rejoined their summoner just as Kurai's summon came back with news of another set of monsters not far from where they were. "I understand. Cloak, keep an eye on Seere for us." One of his wolves nodded before she headed off and Lowell and Kurai did the same.

Once they arrived, Lowell quietly gasped to see a small village filled with imps. Looking at them through first impressions, he had a feeling they might be stronger than they looked if they tried to fight them. That's one sentiment he shared with Kurai. "He's right. Besides, I think we already did a close-range survey with the one my pack befriended. With our current levels and without preparations, we have no chance of surviving their onslaught."

After that, he and his pack quietly observed the village. Just the sight of their fight with other monsters made him wonder if there was also a small society for them similar to the one back home. Then again, it was only a fragment of what they discovered through their survey. "Agreed. As for the Mission, we haven't encountered any spirits lately. I wonder if there was a trigger to summoning one."
