Demons? Now that was interesting indeed. She had recently finished up some missions during an event, and it had given her a skill that was tied to that specific species. "Kurai, look." Hikari pointed towards her head as it sprouted the demon horns she kept at bay. "It seems it might be a familial trait." A deadpan expression graced her face before she looked forward once more.

She nodded in thanks to Kurai's response to her proposal. This was just dessert for their father, truly. Because for all he did for them, he took away three times as much. She looked towards the building in front of her and a sneer threatened to escape. She held it in, however. That was no way to act as a Lady of the Uesugi Clan.

Hana's plan was sound. A surprise attack was always a great way to start things off. Hikari turned to Kurai and spoke softly. "Once I take down the first guard, I need you to follow it up by attacking the third. We cannot have gaps in our attacks or else it will provide them an opportunity to either call backup or respond in kind." She trusted her brother well and quickly sheathed Murakumo.

She started her way around the area, walking on the walls, eventually on top, and then coming back down just behind the sentry bot. Her light steps were inconspicuous, and as she stared at the sentry bot, she immediately looked for a weak point. Her first choice was the head, and then possibly the neck area.

Within moments, however, the message from Hana appeared. Hikari didn't hesitate. The woman immediately sprang forward, her sword and fan already in her hand. The first attack from Murakumo, now unsheathed, sheared through the metal case that was protecting the sentry robot's neck. Her War Fans frosted with razor-sharp ice before she used it to slice through the wires and gears that kept it functioning.

As the robot sentry started falling, Hikari made a hand motion, signaling for Kurai to now make his move.

Hikari watched as Dee Dee carved her way through the skeletons. She had never doubted the skill of the woman. In fact, she had great admiration for Dee Dee. She was one of the most dedicated women he knew when it comes to helping people. She admired that trait, especially since she herself lacked it. Hikari was born an heiress, and will die one. The teachings passed down to her, who she is, would never change. Though she might not know it yet.

"Thank you for the support, Dee Dee." She looked up towards the archers and smirked. "Leave them to me. if you can cull enough of this hoard, perhaps we can find what's causing all of this here and get rid of it." Holding Murakumo, she quickly sheathed the sword and started running along the wall. She ran, as though the wall itself was the ground, unhindered by gravity.

Kairi was right behind her, and as Hikari jumped, Kairi slid forward and sent her breath attack towards the first archer. It toppled it sideways, before Hikari slashed its skull, destroying it with one strike.

Turning towards the line of archers, Hikari quickly ran forward. The first one was dispatched with Daitsuren, the sword cleaving through the archer's skull. The next was hit straight through its forehead with Kenmyoren, making it stumble before crumpling to the floor. The third, fourth, and fifth in-line shot arrows at Hikari. The woman only smiled as the arrows whizzed by her as she stepped around them. Their stats didn't seem to be comparable to her own, and therefore these attacks were useless. She was the perfect enemy to these ranged skeletons, it seems. She brandished her sword, before moving forward for the kill.

One of Dee Dee's summons got there first, and had seemingly put up a shield to help the people. They were innocent bystanders, people who were not fighters, not ones who wanted to level up in this world.

Hikari quickly made it to the area, the storefront was already too pressured by the amount of skeletons that had gathered. The sounds had attracted them all. Hikari herself landed onto one of the skeletons, crushing it with Murakumo's sharp blade and her momentum. Daitsuren was quickly unsheathed as well, and Hikari quickly made good use of the sword.

She struck another with Daitsuren, before leaping back and utilizing one of her abilities. "Mikazuki." Kenmyoren was immediately unsheathed, before slicing a large arc in front of her, cleaving the group as it toppled and wrecked half a dozen skeletons that were advancing forward.

Finishing up her ability, she moved towards the group of people, reassuring them of their safety. There were still a lot of skeletons heading their way, though she was sure that Dee Dee would take care of them, having seen her already making her way towards them. Kairi had already dispatched one of the skeletons that had come too close to them. Hikari whirled around at that, and kept her sword at the ready for the next onslaught from those not dispatched by Dee Dee.

Mission 3 - Into Ancient Ruins

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Hikari turned and realized that one of their companions has gone, disappeared entirely. Perhaps they had teleported out? Perhaps the System took them out? All she knew was that they weren't in the party list anymore. The names on her list only had hers and Alessandra's left.

She cursed at that, before whirling to find that the monsters spawned were still there. Hikari spied the wolf stalking her now, while the rest of the Stone Warriors, and Forsakens were also heading her way. The birds of prey that Alessandra was holding off seems to be intricately within her web. And so, she made her move.

Hikari started running, catching the attention of every single monster in the area except for the birds. She slashed at a Stone Golem with Murakumo, while sending Daitsuren and Kenmyoren forward to nick the rest. All she wanted to do was to deal damage, soften every single one of the stronger monsters in order for her to do what she had wanted.

The monsters all came after her now, and when they were grouped up in a fashion, Hikari pulled back and unleashed her final core ability. "

The monsters, the stronger ones already having taken damage, were slowly eviscerated by the rain of celestial swords upon them. Those that tried to leave were pierced through their bones, while the rest were completely eradicated. Hikari was no exception, the strength of the ability causing her to be blasted back. She hit the ground, though rolled herself to a kneeling position.

She then looked towards Alessandra. Before the fight ended, she opened up her menu to purchase some items. Once Alessandra finished off her birds, the System should announce their success, while Hikari should have her purchases in hand.

Hikari looked at her brother, and then Hana. "Younger brother, yes." She wouldn't elaborate further. The past was in the past, after all. And she was not one to let anyone into her life willy-nily. Some things, well, almost everything about her life was on a need-to-know basis.

A summon? Now that was intriguing indeed. "Does he have something to do with your class then?" She wondered out loud, before taking a stance as she took the first step into her old home.

The place was beautiful. A Japanese estate made to look very modern. It came with a koi pond, a small cluster of Sakura trees, and a traditional-style estate home. There was a small clearing just in front of them, running straight through towards the koi pond. Over it was a wooden bridge that did little but magnify the sense of the beauty in the place.

The beauty, however, was marred by the three sentry-looking bots that now roamed the clearing. They looked to be well-armed, with shiny metalloid features that were almost too intimidating to challenge. The good part was that they had not been spotted yet. The bad part was that they had to get through these three sentry bots to get to the estate proper. And if these were here, what else might be lurking within?

"Rent? No, no, you misunderstand." Hikari paused, slowly unsheathing her sword, Murakumo. "I plan on making sure this place was repurposed and used in a way that would desecrate our father's wants and needs. I want him to roll over in his grave knowing that his beloved home is being used for good, free of charge." She grinned at the thought, though squashed any other feelings. Focus. That was what she needed to do, especially at a time like this.

Hikari held out her sword, "Keep safe, brother. This will be dangerous." She then looked towards Hana, waiting for her decision on how to best deal with their opponents. Hana was, after all, the more experienced.

Hikari, after the final pieces of the Stonk had vanished, let up her attack. She paused a moment, before looking around. But of course, they made mince meat of the warehouse itself. Well, some parts. From what she could see, there were quite a few merchandise that were undamaged. Then again, it would have been hard not to do some damage when trying to deal with such a foe.

She turned towards her guild master, before slowly making her way towards the group. She bowed low towards their patron, "I apologize for the mess. It seems they gave us quite a run there. But, we did our job, and saved quite a bit of the merchandise?" She gestured to the multiple stacks of boxes that were unharmed.

"Thank you for the opportunity to fight alongside you Hana, and Jonas." She smiled, before letting the sword she had garnered from the tiny guild leader vanish into her inventory. "And of course, for this weapon." It had cost her quite a lot of points, but it was certainly worth it.

Hikari nodded to herself, before letting her other swords fall to her sides. "Now, I'm very curious what those creatures were. They were...odd indeed..." She trailed off, before shrugging. "In any case, I suppose I can offer to help clean up?" It was an offer, though one she hoped they would refuse.

Hikari jumped towards the first skeleton that had looked her way. It was, of course, because of the fact that she was running towards it already. It was the closest one within her reach, and she was one to make sure that she swept the area clean. Murakumo found its mark straight through its skull, bashing and smashing it in before Hikari leaped forward.

"Go, Kairi." Hikari motioned for the Angelic Serpent to attack as she sheathed Murakumo and glided in the air for a moment. It gave her the opportunity to look at the scene and figure out how to best approach this situation. She knew that Dee Dee was more than likely already taking down her fair share of skeletons in the area. The question was, where would she be best situated?

Kairi, however, was already on the move. The summon spewed out a chilling cold blast that hit one of the skeletons, forcing it backward and the creature circled around its prey. Hikari turned her attention back to her summon, before she flicked her fan and sent Daitsuren forward, killing the skeleton.

"Alright, let's get to where some of the innocents are trapped." Hikari motioned for Kairi to follow, while sending a message to Dee Dee telling her of what she saw. There were a few families cornered at a cafe just down the block. "Come, Kairi. Let's see what we're made of." She smiled with excitement, speeding up in the process.

As Hikari left through the manhole they had gone down on during their previous mission, another notification popped up. Someone had messaged her about a Halloween Event happening, and she did not realized that it was happening literally anywhere and everywhere. Well, at least, not in Safe Zones from what she had been messaged. She closed the message thread she had received from a friend, and accepted the mission to get rid of...zombies? Or perhaps they were less zombies and more so skeleton creatures. Was there a difference?

Hikari turned to Dee Dee. "It seems like we stepped from one mission to another." She turned her attention forwards towards the streets of Paris, where skeletons are not actively fighting other people. "This mission seems to be open to everyone. How about we lend a hand?"

The objective seems simple enough. Take out the skeletons that were invading the streets of Paris. With the lower rank, Hikari knew she will be having just a little bit of fun with this. "I do enjoy events like this." She commented to herself, before plowing through the first skeleton with Murakumo.

The large creature seemingly was made up of itself in tiny forms. They all merged together now into one whole being. "It seems things are getting even more serious now." Hikari nodded to herself, before holding out Murakumo in an aggressive stance. She had heard her guild master tell them to use their strongest moves, and she would oblige. If only to show what she was truly capable of.

As Hana played her music, Hikari dodged and weaved. She would use one of her abilities, jyaki-buyo. It quickly buffed her speed even more, just enough to be able to dodge the reaching hand. She twisted herself, before stabbing at he reaching hand, and then running forward, creating a large gash that ran from the creature's arm up to its torso.

When Hikari finally got close enough, she engaged the final part of her core.

"Ougi - Yuudachi," Hikari whispered to herself, before sheathing all of her swords. The sky around them would darken, before celestial swords would start raining down on the large Stonk. Hikari leaped away just enough to get clearance. She held out her fan, letting the swords fall continuously onto the creature, slowly shredding it into pieces.

"You better take it out now, because I won't be standing still much longer." She gave the woman a quick warning, giving her time to do whatever she was talking about with her spine, before she shot off herself. Murakumo was already in hand when she lunged towards the Stone Warrior who looked towards her with glaring dead eyes.

The Stone Warrior flew up with its wings, before lunging down towards her. She quickly rolled to one side, eyes watching at every movement of her opponent. She drew her sword then, before slashing at the creature, taking a chunk of its lower leg. Daitsurent flew forward, stabbing through its eye, while Kenmyoren took out its other leg.

"You do not talk? Pity..." She looked at the creature's stony facade, before holding out her hand and making a crushing motion. She crushed the stone creature with a shadowed hand, conjured up around its fallen form.

Hikari looked up, realizing there were now more creatures that were heading towards her. They shambled forward and reminded her well of their first challenge coming to this island.

"Ready for round two, then?" Hikari's eyes gleamed, running forwards with Murakumo and her other swords, meeting the three Forsaken in the middle.

[break][break] She wasn't sure whether Dee Dee will need her help. The woman seems to be very capable, and with her reaching this far into the world, taking such high ranking missions, she must have something up her sleeve that made her a threat in her own right. Hikari held her sword aloft as she passed the other corpses of the trolls, before realizing that an opening was given to her. [break][break] Whatever Dee Dee did, it set her up for a devastating blow. In fact, the spirit summon she had seemed to be in position for her to deal the final hit. She took it in stride, leaping towards the ghost, before leaping further. She used the momentum, and unsheathed Murakumo once more. She plunged the sword through the troll, before Daitsuren and Kenmyoren followed it up, dealing thrice the damage. [break][break] The troll landed onto the mire, mucky sewer water. Hikari landed on top of it, using it as a platform of sorts. She looked towards Dee Dee and gave her a nod and a rare smile. "Good team work, Dee Dee. I appreciate your help and support." Hikari turned her attention to the other summons, thanking them with a nod, before gesturing for her summon to fly towards her. "Now, little one, I hope you learned something from that fight. It will be us two next time working together, hm? She scratched Kairi on her chin, before looking towards the exit. [break] |

[attr="class","hikareescroll"] Mission Link - B Rank[break][break] Hikari knew that she could trust Dee Dee. So much so that when she told her that she can weaken them, Hikari obliged. She waited as the woman shot something out of a pointy stick, and attack the two trolls that were trying to climb out of the sewer waters. Hikari herself drew her sword at the ready, while Daitsuren and Kenmyoren were pointed forwards menacingly. [break][break] When the attack hit, Hikari didn't hesitate to take advantage. Holding Murakumo aloft, she shot forward. From what she could see, one of Dee Dee pets had planted a bomb behind the creature. She knew she could use this, and quickly formulated a plan. Instead of killing the troll with her swords, she would instead use it as a distraction for the other troll that were attacking Dee Dee's friends. [break][break] "Dee Dee, once this guy explodes, we'll go help out your friends." She announced, before using Murakumo as a throwing knife. She tossed the sword forward, stabbing the troll in its gut. Hikari followed it with her own foot, pushing the troll backward with the momentum. [break][break] The troll stumbled and hit the land mine. Combined with all the damage it had already taken, the explosion would cause it to be knocked back, and then slump over dead. "Now!" Hikari jumped forward towards the last troll, hoping to ease the fighting that was happening on the other side with Dee Dee's pets. [break] |

Mission 3 - Into Ancient Ruins

The way into the ruins was quick. The path had been plowed through by other adventurers in the area, which made it easier for Hikari to traverse through alongside her partners for this mission. She was sure that there was something dangerous within its bowels, which only excited her more. Hikari was ready to continue to hone her skills, to see where her newfound subclass could take her.

Taking the first few steps into the ruins, the place seemed too old to even be here. Too old to even be able to stand. She shook her head, eyes peeled as she slowly descended the large staircase that led down. She had picked up a torch, and quickly used Shotsuren as a flint to ignite the end. It provided some illumination, while her swords floated around her menacingly.

"It goes deeper, it seems..." She whispered, before rounding a corner. The place went deeper still. Each step took them a floor down, and in no time at all, they seemed to have entered the final floor. Four floors. Four sets of grand staircases. And at the centre of this floor was a large statue.

"Is that Earth?" She took a small step closer, raising her torch. "And a map beneath..." Hikari made no move to touch the map. At least, not yet. "Perhaps this was what we're after? All of those stairs...led to this. A map to somewhere, or something." She pondered out loud, circling the pedestal that held the map, and around the large statue of Earth-chan depicted as a god of some sort.

"Shall we take the map, and deal with the consequences?" Hikari asked, looking at her companions.
