As the second part of her urami skill took effect Akane watched as the spider affected by it dropped to the floor dead. Yet despite the vast number of spiders they had already taken out largely due to Dee Dee and her summons, there was still a lot left. As Dee Dee and her summons went on the offense again all glowing from what Akane assumed was some type of ability the golden-eyed women would let out a small sigh. While her partner was able to take out spider after spider Akane was stuck dealing with one at a time as her class was better suited for one on one fights.

Without wasting any more time Akane would sneak up to one of the spiders since they were still unable to detect her. Once behind it, she would once again use kamitsuku as its cooldown was reset due to her killing a spider after using it. She would then once again lash out with her skeletal claws this time cutting the monster if half before then using urami once again on the second closest spider to her.

Akane for once in the short time she had known Hikari that she disagreed with the other women. "Pride still has a place in this world. What it doesn't have room for is the overly prideful people." Akane was able to understand where the other women was coming from when it came to Paris. She was sure there were countless people that had fond memories of the city Akane was just one of the selective few that didn't. "I understand where you are coming from I unfortunately have no good memories of Paris. It's always been too crowded and loud for my taste but I'm glad at this one of us can enjoy their time in it."

As the topic shifted to a choice between learning about the undead or a potential crime organization Akane would lean forward a bit. "It's a hard choice but I think I'll go with the crime organization." The main reason it had won over the undead is well humans could bleed and the undead couldn't. The raven-haired woman nodded her head in agreement with Hikari how one dressed was one of the few things they were still able to choose in this new world. Even then to some extent, you couldn't at least in Akane's case as she always had bones covering parts of her body supporting her in various ways. At the end of the day, she didn't mind having all the bones around her as they were such a huge boon both when fighting and when she wasn't.

Akane would give the other women a smile as she spoke about how she hadn't been as picky with her missions. "It makes sense you'd think that way. It's not wrong and honestly, I should probably do the same thing I guess I'm more prideful than I'd like to admit." Akane was in the middle of a drink her wine as Hikari mentioned Paris was amazing. The golden-eyed woman found herself nearly spitting out her drink at the comment but managed to stop herself at the last moment.

"It seems we have two different views on Paris. Truly I hate the city but I deal with it simply because of everything it has to offer currently. As for the spiders they varied in size but all of them were much larger than a normal spiders. Some were poisonous others could spit acid and of course, some simply tried to bite you. Akane read what Dee Dee said and she supposed it made sense after all it was only a D-rank mission so the odds of something being strong enough to threaten the two of them were slim. At the mention of the bar telling someone what they needed to finish whatever mission they were doing Akane would pull the one up for their mission and it didn't seem like they needed to kill a whole lot more of the spiders. This was a good thing seeing as Akane wasn't the greatest when it came to drawn-out fights. It didn't take much more walking for the two of them to run into more spiders which Dee Dee and her summons once again made quick work of.

However, it seemed the fighting had attracted more of them. Akane was able to read what Dee Dee had said but wasn't able to respond otherwise it would give away her position. Which seeing as they were getting ready to fight waves of spiders she didn't really want to do. As such before engaging in combat she would use her skill kamitsuku which would allow her to still attack while not being detected it came with the downside of lower all her damage by a rank. However, it was still better than revealing herself. Once a spider came within range of her the skeletal claws would once again strike out this time ripping through the abdomen killing it in a spray of blue blood. She would then use her skill urami to extend the chill of death surrounding her to the second closest spider to her. While the damage itself wasn't enough to kill the monster outright it seemed like once the second part of the skill took effect the spider would die.

Akane let out a small laugh as Hikari stated she wasn't a princess. "Well you certainly dress like one but I suppose you'd be right since this new world of ours doesn't seem to have many such titles." As Hikari mentioned that she was here to relax after all the missions she had done Akane wasn't surprised. Sure she didn't exactly know much about Hikari but she didn't strike the raven-haired woman as someone who spent much time lazing about. As the topic shifted to what Akane had been up to she'd let out a small sigh.

"Honestly not much I spent quite a few days in Paris recently taking part in that event. Mission wise I haven't done much either. The only thing combat-wise I've done since our tutorial was fighting giant spiders and they weren't much of a challenge." As Akane's wine was brought to the table she would take a sip from it. While it wasn't the best she'd tasted in her life it also wasn't the worst. "If I'm being honest I've passed up more missions than I've done. I'm an assassin by trade I don't want to rescue some dumb animals. Alas, it seems this world doesn't have much use for my skill set."

Akane would return a wave to Dee Dee with one of her skeletal arms. It seemed the girl had mistaken Akane's statement for worry. The truth was the raven-haired woman didn't care what happened to Dee Dee after all the two women were still basically strangers so there was no connection between the two. That being said Akane would still assist the women if needed after all they were still partners in this quest. As soon as the two stepped into the building Akane would vanish into shadows no longer visible even to Dee Dee. That being said she still stuck close to her partner even if they couldn't see her so that she could still at least read Dee Dee's messages.

The golden-eyed assassin would watch as Dee Dee and her summons made quick work of a small pack of the spiders. However, her focus would soon shift to a spider that much like her was trying to use the shadows to hide its presence. It, of course, was unable to see Akane thanks to the core of her class and as such as it tried to lunge at Dee Dee from the dark Akane's skeletal arm would reach out and dig into the spider's chelicerae before yanking back ripping its head from the rest of its body obviously killing it. As such its now limp headless body would slide across the floor landing at Dee Dee's feet.

Not long after Akane would become visible again her clothes and face covered in blue blood with a smile across her face. The skeletal hand holding the spider's head would release it letting it fall to the ground. "Hmm, they don't seem as strong as I expected them to be." With that Akane would give the other women a thumbs up before slipping back into the shadows.

kane would stop humming to herself as she felt a new pair of eyes looking at her that lingered longer than the others. As a result, she was already turning to face the other women before she even began to wave and yell revealing her skeletal arms along with her normal arms. Akane's eyes would look over Summer's whole body for a few moments. Her outfit was certainly more colorful than Akane's own white and red suit. The raven-haired woman would tilt her head slightly as she noticed Summer was blushing for some reason.

However, she wouldn't speak right away as she'd of had to yell back and Akane wasn't the type of person to yell in order to be heard. When it came to the comment of Akane living her best life she wasn't sure how to feel about that. Sure her life in this new world wasn't bad but at the same time, a large part of her old life was still missing. Once the pink-haired woman got close enough Akane would give her a small smile before speaking. "That's certainly quite the way to start a conversation. You can call me Akane was there something I could help you with?"

Akane would stretch her arms as she stepped out of a portal to unison central her skeletal arms mimicking her actual ones. The assassin was still getting used to that method of traveling between zones but she couldn't deny it saved countless amounts of time rather than walking. Akane would look over the city and people for a few moments before her eyes landed on a pub at the end of the street. She figured it was as good as any first stop in this place and as such make her way to it.

Upon reaching the door she'd use her skeletal arms to open the door before heading inside her gaze meeting Hikari's. Without saying a word she would walk over to the other women's table taking a seat across from her. "Well if it isn't the princess herself. What brings someone like you to a place like this?" As a waiter walked over to her Akane would order just a glass of wine as she wasn't exactly hungry enough for a meal just yet.

The past few days had been pretty uneventful for the raven-haired woman. They had been mostly spent just walking around Paris finding side roads and the such that would make navigating the city on foot more efficient. Akane had also managed to find an abandoned house on the edge of town which she was now using as her own temporary home not that she had any things to store inside the place but it was better than staying in a crowded hotel.

After a few laid-back days, she had finally decided it was time to take on another quest this time one that involved combat as it had been a while since she had really seen in blood. Upon accepting the quest she would change into her I Heart Paris T-shirt which was a lie as she actually hated the city but the effects that came with the shirt were too good to pass up. Along with the shirt she opted to wear a pair of black shorts that reach down to her upper thighs as her normal dress pants didn't look quite right with the shirt. She finally finished off her outfit by attaching her tanto to her waist and attaching the skull pin to her shirt. After getting ready she wasted no time heading to the location of the quest.

Upon arriving she would of course spot Dee Dee and her summons but wouldn't speak to the other women. Instead, her golden eyes would focus on the building the giant spiders were using as a nest. A smile would form across her face upon noticing it was dark enough that she would have no trouble hiding in the shadows. Her focus would then turn back to Dee Dee. "It seems like we'll be working together again. I'll go ahead and let you know that it's likely you'll take the brunt of the spider's attacks as the shadows will make it hard for them to notice me. Anyways if you're ready we can head inside there is so much blood to spill today."

It seemed that the raven-haired women's companion had a much more refined palette than she did as Andy ordered a meal she'd never even heard of before. Then again Akane had never done much fine dining as her path in life as she never really spent much time in one place unless it was her family estate. She did however find his choice of drink interesting it was a strong spirit that she didn't feel would pair well with such a fancy-sounding meal. However, the man was free to make his own choices, and if that's what Andy chose to get she wouldn't stop him.

As the question on why she was in Paris a small smile would form across her lips. "Yes, I suppose you could say I came to visit the sites in a way. I wanted to see how different this Paris was from the old one. So far however I dislike both of them the same amount. As for the big event taking place, I didn't intend to take part in it at first though upon reading more on it that quickly changed as it offers so much." It wasn't long after answering his questions that their meals would be delivered. Akane would give thanks to the Kami before she started eating her own meal.

Akane had spent the last few days in Paris and while her time in the city had been fruitful she needed a break from that place. That being said the woman did plan on returning there in a few days as she still had unfinished business there. However for now the raven-haired assassin would relax and just enjoy exploring parts of Europa. The first stop on her list was London and upon arriving in the city she was surprised to see it wasn't as crowded as one would have expected from such a city.

As she was walking through the city her footsteps like normal would make no sound however she wasn't fully hiding her presence. As Akane made her way into the building she was already face to face with another person. At first, she thought the man was a server until he spoke. It of course had to be lacking in tables right when she showed up. She supposed it couldn't be helped the city more than likely had gotten a huge influx of both players and NPCs today with it just opening back up to the public again. While she could have just waited for another table to be available like Andy had said there was no telling how long that would take and she wasn't thrilled with the idea of waiting in a crowded building for that long. reaching her normal arm out she would shake the man's hand.

"I'm Akane it's nice to meet you, Andy. As for your offer of sharing a table sure I'll take you up on that offer." With the two coming to an arrangement, an actual server would lead them to a table for two in the back which was a blessing at least before leaving them with two menus to pick out a meal. The raven-haired women would scan the menu for a few minutes before ordering spaghetti and a Bloody Mary.

A smile would form across the raven-haired assassins face as both attacks hit in perfect unison. The result was a large amount of blood splashing onto Akane's face and clothes do to her being in melee range. As the blood dripped from her clothing and face she simply watched as he started to bleed out rather quickly because of the fact both major arteries in the neck were severed. Once the life finally left the man's eyes her gaze would shift to the same spot as Hikari. While the fans certainly were pretty and old they weren't quite Akane's style.
