Upon entering the establishment, Hikari immediately knew that it wasn't as intimidating as she first thought. Pubs and bars were places where she would not have gone to without thought, and without prior planning. As well, the venue must first be canvassed by those who worked for her. Perhaps her head of security. No, this was not an establishment she would have normally gone to.

A quick order, and a quick seat, she turned her attention towards the door. This was the first place she had actually sat down and eaten at. She ordered their special, something along the lines of a sandwich? It didn't matter. After Dee Dee's hamburger, everything else might not taste the same.

After getting her wine, though crude and definitely not up to par, Hikari relaxed and sat herself watching the door. She was hopping she wouldn't see anybody from her old life, though that was always a possibility. It was the reason why she had been avoiding Japan. She didn't want to risk it, although Japan is apparently a dangerous place to be in right now, especially Tokyo.

Her head would perk up however, after realizing who just walked in. It was certainly someone she knew, but not from her old life.

Akane would stretch her arms as she stepped out of a portal to unison central her skeletal arms mimicking her actual ones. The assassin was still getting used to that method of traveling between zones but she couldn't deny it saved countless amounts of time rather than walking. Akane would look over the city and people for a few moments before her eyes landed on a pub at the end of the street. She figured it was as good as any first stop in this place and as such make her way to it.

Upon reaching the door she'd use her skeletal arms to open the door before heading inside her gaze meeting Hikari's. Without saying a word she would walk over to the other women's table taking a seat across from her. "Well if it isn't the princess herself. What brings someone like you to a place like this?" As a waiter walked over to her Akane would order just a glass of wine as she wasn't exactly hungry enough for a meal just yet.

Hikari smiled and nodded at the person she had not thought she would meet here. Not that her company was not welcome, however. Indeed, she had been hoping to talk to this woman a bit more after their tutorial. The way she handled things had been resourceful and effective. In fact, her recent missions had been successful because of what she learned from the woman.

"I'm no princess, Miss Akane." She took a sip of her wine, before looking into the eyes of the woman who was covered with bones. Definitely not intimidating at all, truly. But no, she was no princess. At least, not anymore. Nor was she in any sense save for history and virtue. "You can call me, Hikari."

The question of what she was doing here was a more interesting one. What was she doing here? "I suppose this was supposed to be my way of leisure. After all of the missions I had gone on, I'm hoping for a few hours of winding down before I start looking for more missions to go on once again." She grinned, though it was the truth. She had not stopped finding missions, completing them, and then exploring the vast lands that were once tourist destinations for her family.

"What of you, Miss Akane? What sort of adventures have you been up to?" She asked curiously. She was always curious of what others have seen, heard, or fought. Learning from people was the best way to arm herself for any dangers out there. And truly, Akane seems to be the person who might have something new for her.

Akane let out a small laugh as Hikari stated she wasn't a princess. "Well you certainly dress like one but I suppose you'd be right since this new world of ours doesn't seem to have many such titles." As Hikari mentioned that she was here to relax after all the missions she had done Akane wasn't surprised. Sure she didn't exactly know much about Hikari but she didn't strike the raven-haired woman as someone who spent much time lazing about. As the topic shifted to what Akane had been up to she'd let out a small sigh.

"Honestly not much I spent quite a few days in Paris recently taking part in that event. Mission wise I haven't done much either. The only thing combat-wise I've done since our tutorial was fighting giant spiders and they weren't much of a challenge." As Akane's wine was brought to the table she would take a sip from it. While it wasn't the best she'd tasted in her life it also wasn't the worst. "If I'm being honest I've passed up more missions than I've done. I'm an assassin by trade I don't want to rescue some dumb animals. Alas, it seems this world doesn't have much use for my skill set."

Titles meant nothing here. At least, old titles that have been laid to rest. Here, the status quo is different. There were no conglomerates that rule the world, no multi-billion companies that have held sway with the governments of the world. No old money, disregarding laws and getting away because of their name. And it was great! A breath of fresh air!

Hikari hummed as Akane shared her experience. It seems that woman was pickier than she was. "Truthfully, I had thought of being a bit pickier with my missions. However, I've come to realize that I'm in no position to do so, especially at my current level." She smiled slightly, though she was in a better spot now, she was still a beggar in terms of levels. And beggars can't be choosers.

The raven-haired woman nodded her head in agreement with Hikari how one dressed was one of the few things they were still able to choose in this new world. Even then to some extent, you couldn't at least in Akane's case as she always had bones covering parts of her body supporting her in various ways. At the end of the day, she didn't mind having all the bones around her as they were such a huge boon both when fighting and when she wasn't.

Akane would give the other women a smile as she spoke about how she hadn't been as picky with her missions. "It makes sense you'd think that way. It's not wrong and honestly, I should probably do the same thing I guess I'm more prideful than I'd like to admit." Akane was in the middle of a drink her wine as Hikari mentioned Paris was amazing. The golden-eyed woman found herself nearly spitting out her drink at the comment but managed to stop herself at the last moment.

"It seems we have two different views on Paris. Truly I hate the city but I deal with it simply because of everything it has to offer currently. As for the spiders they varied in size but all of them were much larger than a normal spiders. Some were poisonous others could spit acid and of course, some simply tried to bite you. However, they overall weren't a huge threat."

There was a time when Hikari would have agreed with Akane on both fronts. Having to do menial missions was beneath her social status and rank, while Paris as compared to its once glory, was a rats nest. And yet, they were in a new place, a new city, and a new world. They must do what they must in order to survive, and take joy in things that have been remade, no matter how it paled in its former glory.

"Pride has no place here in this world, Miss Akane. At least, not for us who have just arrived into this pitiful world." It was a belief she held. "There will come a time when my pride is restored, of course. But not today, nor in the foreseeable future, unfortunately." She smiled at that, before shaking her head, "It is not for me to tell you what to do, of course. But don't you agree, Miss Akane?"

She mulled her next response, before nodding. "The place is a shadow of its former glory, but I celebrate its existence, as well as the splendor it brings to this bleak world." Hikari smiled, "Memories that have come and gone, it is a place for me to reminisce my past, and look towards the future with brighter and clearer eyes." She tapped her wine glass, "However, spitting acid, you say? This is certainly useful information." And one that she has to cross reference within Dee Dee's guidebook. "Perhaps you would like to know more about the undead that I've fought recently? Or perhaps the organized crime group that might be lurking in and around New York?" She offered in exchange.

Akane for once in the short time she had known Hikari that she disagreed with the other women. "Pride still has a place in this world. What it doesn't have room for is the overly prideful people." Akane was able to understand where the other women was coming from when it came to Paris. She was sure there were countless people that had fond memories of the city Akane was just one of the selective few that didn't. "I understand where you are coming from I unfortunately have no good memories of Paris. It's always been too crowded and loud for my taste but I'm glad at this one of us can enjoy their time in it."

As the topic shifted to a choice between learning about the undead or a potential crime organization Akane would lean forward a bit. "It's a hard choice but I think I'll go with the crime organization." The main reason it had won over the undead is well humans could bleed and the undead couldn't. Therefore the raven-haired women found the organization more interesting.

Hikari supposed the woman was correct in her own way, though Akane might have been taking her words the wrong way. Pride in oneself? That should always be present. Hikari made sure she looked the best, and did her best, because she had pride in who she is. But when it came to jobs, Hikari knew she was in the starting line. But now? Now she was slowly soaring.

"Pride in oneself must always be present, Miss Akane. But I, at least, understand that the world is different and new." Hikari shrugged. She was happy where she was now, after all. "And I suppose you're right. Paris does not hold happiness for everyone. For me, it holds a lot of good memories. Memories of freedom, and opportunity." Where she was not constrained by her family's values. Where she was out of her reach from her family's clutches just for one whole week.

Crime organization indeed. Hikari smiled slyly, before starting. "Well, let me see. Myself and another friend investigated the slums of New York. We recently found that there are people who are taking advantage of new players, and looking to rob and do something worse to them." Dee Dee and herself had an interesting time with that. "We found tags around. A specific symbol. A skull with a floral crown." In fact, she needed to continue her investigations. She might need to contact her small friend to get right back into it.

Akane shrugged her shoulders in response to the other woman's comment on knowing how the new world works. The raven-haired assassin wasn't sure if Hikari was implying she didn't or not nor did she really care at the end of the day. Akane would tilt her head slightly as the other women mention Paris gave her memories of freedom. "Did you not have freedom when you became an adult?"

Akane knew it wasn't super uncommon for female heirs to more prestigious families to not have as much freedom as Akane herself had but at the same time, Hikari didn't strike her as the type of woman to let others tell her how to live her life. Akane's smile would widen as she was given information about this unknown organization.

"They sound like quite the troublesome group. I assume you and this unknown friend don't plan to let them do whatever they wish? If so feel free to call on me if you need some extra hands. It sounds like there will be plenty of blood to spill." Akane herself had three major reasons for offering her aid the first was she never liked to strong picking on the weak. The second was she actually enjoy the company of Hikari not to mention they worked well together to begin. Lastly, the third reason was of course the amount of blood she could spill dealing with those thugs.

I would say that I rather much like the opportunities presented to me now." She would shrug, before hiding behind taking a sip of her wine.

At the thought of the group, however, Hikari almost sneered. Of course, she had wanted to do something about it. However, without truly concrete proof, nor an inkling to their proper location, she and Dee Dee would not be able to do anything. There was also the fact that this will more than likely be more than just a two-person job. Having Akane there would make things much easier. Especially since the woman seems to have quite the acuity for battle.

"Unfortunately, we are still trying to figure out more about this organization. At the moment, my personal guess is that they're a small group still trying to find their footing." Akane would return the other women's smile as Hikari didn't really answer the question. This gave the assassin a good idea of what the answer truly was but without the other women outright saying it she couldn't be completely sure. However, she wasn't going to push the Hikari any further on the matter as whatever one's life was in the old world really didn't matter. "Yes, I suppose it's true this new world of ours has given us opportunities we could have only dreamed of before."

Sure the world was much more dangerous than it use to be but when everyone basically had superpowers it did a pretty good job balancing out the danger. So Akane herself couldn't really complain too much. As Hikari went into more detail about the organization the raven-haired woman would finish off her wine. "Tracking people can be a pain sadly I can't offer much help when it comes to that. The easiest way I could think of to draw them out would be to use someone as bait. If I do happen to find anything out I'll make sure to pass it along to you."

The utility of her class seems to be very specific, though however can a skeleton-clad woman be sneaky was something beyond her imagination.
