Xlam: On the second round and every over round after that, Xanta smashes its fists against the ground, causing a tremor that deals its [PWR] -1 rank in vibration damage to all targets within 5 meters. Targets with [SPD] higher rank than its [SPD] can move out of the area and take no damage if they do not attack Xanta on their post.

Besides the constant reminder of their Tutorial progress, the system screens went quiet, seeming content now that the group was moving. Some more than others. The main street they'd found themselves on ran towards the one lit beacon, so heading in the opposite direction was as good a choice as any.

Gleeford seemed to have the right idea, they'd soon realize. Something had followed him out of the alley, moving slowly at first, then picking up speed as it spotted the party moving down the street. Torashiki, lagging behind, was the first to get a good look at it. If he cared enough to glance behind him at what was making those unearthly noises.

A large beast, somewhere between a huge dog and a small bear, loping down the road, steadily increasing speed. Until it suddenly ran face first into the thick air surrounding their straggler. Slowing down, giving Torashiki and the others some time to react before the chase resumed in earnest.

Although the fleeing foursome may not have attention to spare for it, that system menu they'd selected their classes from reappeared nearby each of them, attempting to share more information. Although they were likely all, understandably, more concerned about their current situation. Distracted enough to not notice the rainbow pattern continually flickering underneath Ingrid's feet, struggling to assert itself.

Camouflage Capers: A set of clothes which blends to whatever terrain you desire. Donning this set of clothing gives you the ability to use [Stealth] which makes you unnoticeable to those whose [WIL] is lower than yours for two posts before going on a two post cooldown. [break][break]

Dress to Aggress: A set of clothes that, when made, always suits the fashion style you want it to be. Wearing this dress provides you with [DEF] +1 rank in armor before it becomes tattered and rendered unusable. However, by using your sewing kit, you are able to stitch this dress back together and have it be usable after three posts. The repair can only be done once per thread. [break][break]

Dash Pad Drift Alter and stretch your road to pass by one of your enemies. An arrowed vector creates a strip over your road and increases your [SPD] by your [MAGI] allowing you to crash into your enemy for the Rainbow Roadster’s [PWR] + [MAGI].[break][break]

After which the Roadster will begin to drift away from the enemy it hit in a spinning motion. If the user doesn’t break the enemies [DEF] with this attack they spinout instead and be slowed -3 Ranks for [One Post]. This ability has a [Five Post] Cooldown.[break][break]

Fashionable Labcoat This long white coat is fashionably cut, perfect for the discerning mad scientist or last action hero. When worn it acts as armor, absorbing damage up to your DEF rank, up to A rank. If too much damage is taken the coat is tattered and sleeves torn, useless for five posts until it repairs itself. Three times per thread you can use a suspicious, futuristic device full of green goo you found in a pocket to heal yourself for 5% of your VIT. This can only be used once per post. [break][break]


Corner Peek Three times per thread you can summon a reflective version of the normal system menu that lets you peek around corners and above or around obstacles for one post. You can target anything you see this way for ranged attacks, abilities, and effects. [break][break]


Guidebook This book has a very clearly hand made look to it. Written on the front is the title, "Waddle-Dee Dee's Beginner’s Guide to the System!" There’s also an illustration of a Waddle Dee version of Dee Dee waving, along with a word bubble overhead that says, "Let's Learn Together!" On the back cover are the words "Don't Panic!" written in big friendly letters. Inside is a description of the system interface and the system itself, including functions like the messaging system, shop, guilds, area map, forum access, and a host of other things that any beginner might need to know. It’s all explained without jargon and as clearly as possible, making it easy to understand. Towards the back was a glossary of terms that the owner of the book might overhear other people use. In the very back was a bestiary describing enemies and simple tactics to beat them, accompanied by hand made drawings, including some depicting Dee Dee and others battling the beasts. [break][break]
