Coming up on a clearing, Natalya peeked through some bushes, wanting to get a closer look at these volt deer before she engaged them in combat. There was a crowd of 3 of them and for all intents and purposes, they appeared to be regular deer; aside from the fact that their antlers gave off the occasional discharge of electricity.[break][break]
The mission details stated that they didn't necessarily need to kill the deer in order to harvest their horns but that wouldn't really work for the Russian botanist. She had no way of being able to hold them down in order to cut off their horns so it was honestly easier to simply kill them.
"Luckily, I don't have to harvest their meat otherwise my options would be severely limited."

With the majority of the fishmen poisoned, Natalya felt that this portion of the battle was over. The men were naturally doing their job; if not taking a bit longer to complete but they were commoners so she had to forgive their slight incompetency in this matter.[break][break]
At Andy's shout, Natalya glanced over to see him throw an egg of all things toward her. It was clear to the Russian that this was some sort of attack, one that was most likely to be an AoE of sorts. With her speed being so low, she doubted she'd be able to dodge the attack and instead decided to equip her dress of Titania as she attempted to move out of range of the attack.[break][break]
"Incompentant fool. Why would you use an Aoe attack so close to an ally?" she thought disparagingly as the egg landed and exploded. That seemed to take care of the rest of the fishmen as a system message popped up in front of her face congratulating them on completing the first part of Ender's Island before giving them the next mission to go forging of all things.

With this new event ongoing, Natalya had begun to look for someone she could partner with for it. Lucky for her, Giovanni had messaged her for that very reason, and given how competent he'd shown himself in their previous missions, the Russian saw no reason not to work with him again.[break][break]
Accepting the party invite, she stepped through the waygate and found herself in a snowy tundra forest. She noted the large wall in the distance, the ocean, and some wrecked ships in the opposite direction. "Hmm. I thought we were supposed to be situated near the equator." she muttered, pulling her lion fur coat from her inventory to wear.[break][break]
"I suppose. There don't appear to be any other hints of civilization nearby." she stated before making her way toward the wall.

Natalya sniffed dismissively as the last rat gave one final twitch before dying, joining the rest of its brethren on the forest floor. The mission had been to exterminate them so the botanist didn't trouble herself with what to do about the corpses; that would be for the system to deal with.[break][break]
"Or perhaps the stench of the corpses will attract more rats to this location" the Russian pondered. If that was the case, then that meant that this would be an easy mission to farm later on. Giovanni of course had proven himself to be a capable fighter though this had been an easy mission.[break][break]
Hearing his offer to buy paste, Natalya considered his words. It was clear he had some form of military or tactile training which meant that he'd most likely subsided off of army food which left much to beAt desired taste-wise. Still, if she wanted to foster more connections then she'd have to be willing to stomach subpar food to do so.[break][break]

Moving aside another tree branch, Natalya made her way deeper into the wilderness. So far, it had been about 10 minutes since she had first ventured into the forest and she had made sure to periodically mark her direction to ensure she'd be able to find her way back to the teleportation circle.[break][break]
She hoped she wouldn't have to go too deeply in as that would increase the chance of running into more powerful creatures. She'd rather not learn the extent of how much damage she could take; especially when she was out here alone so if these volt deer didn't turn up within the next 5 minutes, she'd have to find another method to track them down.[break][break]
Just as that time was coming up, the Russian heard a rustling sound up ahead accompanied by a crackling sound with the smell of ozone in the air. "Seems I may have discovered my target."

After accepting the guild invitation and reluctantly taking the bandanna, Natalya allowed herself to fade into the background as Mikael and Deedee spoke as she accepted the pastries. They tasted about as well as she expected someone of the lower class to be able to create; that is to say edible.[break][break]
From the sound of things, Utopia didn't deviate too far from what she had wanted to guild to be. This meant that she wouldn't have to do any work to steer things back on track. "I'll have to reestablish communications with Idir to make sure that we're still moving forward with our plans." she mused. [break][break]

With Giovanni's announcement of only a few more rats remaining, Natalya decided to bring an end to this battle. With a snap of her fingers, a 15-meter-tall purple wall of bushy thorns erupted from the ground startling the vermin and sending them scurrying into a pack for safety. "Perfect."[break][break]
The Russian wasted no time in firing her thorns out, piercing the bodies of all the remaining rats and sending them screeching to the forest floor. One of them managed to rise back to its feet though Natalya didn't give it a chance to retaliate as her venus man trap swung down and devoured this weakened rat.[break][break]
"How anti-climatic" she muttered, giving a disappointed look to the dying rats. It was clear the rodents were in extreme pain; their muscles twitching as purple-tinged blood leaked out on the forest floor.

Natalya expressed minor interest upon learning that Deedee could make different types of baked goods or frozen desserts. It had been a while since she had some proper Kartoshka though she doubted she would be able to get it, especially from a non-Russian. Still, she might as well be polite; especially since it seemed they would be working closely for the foreseeable future.[break][break]
"If you happen to have any cake pops, I wouldn't mind something sweet." she said, offering out the olive branch. The word bubbles were still an interesting effect but Natalya simply ignored it per usual. It was true that the generic food from the system store was bland and tasteless.[break][break]
As talk moved to Uptopia, she wasn't surprised to learn that Mr. Beast had also been recruited given she had discussed having him with Idir a few months ago. "I missed the opportunity to be one of the founders but I am still early enough to be one of the first recruits." she mused before accepting the invitation.

Natalya let Mikhael step through first, Giovanni and Andy quickly following after before she finally stepped through. Just as she had stated, the group found itself under assault by a dozen fishmen of varying strength. Firing a poison seed into the body of one of the stronger fishman, the Russian fell back in order to assess the battlefield.[break][break]
There was a thunderstorm about and the Fishman seemed to be streaming from the broken remains of some ships. Mikhael was keeping 2 fishmen occupied, inflicting slashes across their bodies with his blade. 2 were already dead with a third joining them as her poison finished it off leaving just 9 alive.[break][break]
Seeing another group rising from the sea, the Russian wasted no time in activating her shooting thorn bush, injecting the Lupine DNA into it before firing. She managed to hit about 5 of the remaining 9; having avoided the 4 that the others were fighting and already one could see the purple poison making its way through their bodies.[break][break]

The Russian botanist made a mental note about Unison Central; specifically about this novel idea. You had to spend money to make money. That was something Natalya had been raised to understand by her family. If you wanted quality then you must be willing to pay for it. Far too many people were unwilling to spend extra money, focused more on the present profits over thinking of the future.[break][break]
This was why peasants would always remain at the bottom of the rung in society. They were simply far too shortsighted; probably due to the fact that they never had that much money before in their meaningless little lives. "How unfortunate for them."[break][break]
But that brings her to why she was out here in the first place. She had heard rumors about a little girl selling mystery boxes and knew just who it was. Natalya gave Mr. Beast the nod to seal the doors and began to prepare her skills. She would need to ensure that she delivered as much poison as possible to the shark. She couldn't afford to miss as that would likely spell the end of both of their lives(her's most importantly).[break][break]
As the shutters came down, Ragline jumped out from her hiding spot and peered into the eyes of the sand shark. Given how the sand shark was now scanning its surroundings with fervor, it was clear that the creature had induced some kind of illusion, giving the doll the opportunity to deliver another slash.[break][break]
Just as she was about to launch her attack, the shark knocked over the radio, which began playing a piece of terrible music. A momentary look of disgust came across her face before she activated her thorn bush, infusing it with Lupine DNA, and launching her poison seed attack, managing to land a hit on its vulnerable underbelly and deliver a heavy dosage of poison into its system.[break][break]
After taking so much damage, the sand shark turned and began chewing its way through the garage door, no doubt attempting to sneak back out. " Mr. Beast! It's trying to escape!"

Thankfully, none of the older men questioned her assuming control and the conversation proceeded without pause. She didn't want to deal with any of these peasants thinking they were better at leadership than her. As each of the men explained their ability, Natalya made a mental note of where they would work best for battle.[break][break]
Hearing that Mikhael had a taunting ability, Natalya internally grinned. Here was fate handing her the perfect meatshield to use as much as she liked and it wouldn't even look bad on her part if she stayed behind him. "Most likely the self-sacrificing type to get a class like that."[break][break]
Giovanni's class turned out to be some sort of futuristic armor and he stepped toward the waygate, turning toward them. As Andy finished explaining to him, Natalya found herself blinking at the mention of the mysterious creature that was Deedee. "Yes I do know someone by that name though I feel we should follow Giovanni's example and get started. Mikhael will take point and draw aggro for the three of us to attack. A rather simple strategy." she stated as she began to move toward the way gate.[break][break]
Just before she stepped through it, Natalya threw back one more comment while sending out the group invitation. "From what I managed to gather, we'll be assaulted the moment we land on the beach so be ready." and with that, she stepped through arriving on a sandy beach. As the others arrived, they would receive a system notification alerting them to a group of fishman being drawn in by their presence.

Firing another poison seed into the body of a rat, Natalya watched dispassionately as it twitched and writhed in agony. The other rats continued to hiss at her but made no attempts to get closer after seeing what befell their first comrade against her plant. "Foolish. One would think they would flee from a superior opponent. They really are nothing but vermin."[break][break]
With the increase in intelligence, these rats should have the understanding that they were out of their league against the pair and yet they stayed and continued a useless battle. Her venus plant lashed out and swallowed another rat in its jaws. At this rate, she expected that they would complete this mission within the hour.[break][break]
Giovanni seemed to share the same distaste for the vermin that she did though she kept the look of disgust on her face as he sliced into its neck. Dirty her hands with the blood of such filthy creatures? No, thank you.
