Another voice came from behind the walls outside of the shop but still in the building. Good, it meant she wasn't wasting her time here. Lafey drummed her fingers on the counter before some footsteps approached.
A smaller silhoutte emerged from whatever was behind the corner of the front counter. Her hair reminded Lafey of Jeanne-Marie's, that same sort of pink style curled in on itself. But beyond that were her features, the accessories! All of which had been captured by the woman's sight!
The glasses that were halfway down her nose only to be pushed back and fumbled with. The slight accent of the Queen's English that clung to her apology for taking so long back there. Even that little attire that looked more suited for a Librarian than it did somebody running a shop.
Lafey could feel her heart bursting behind that permanent scowl that seized her features. She just wanted to lift this tiny woman up and squeeze her as hard as she could. That little nerdish smile was just adorable! She instinctively raised Vanilla's hand up (if allowed!) and brought it to her lips.
"Je suis désolé mon impolitesse."
Lafey said, gently pressing her lips against it. Her tongue flicked inside of her mouth, switching back to English so that the conversation could be more proper.
"I've heard about your marvelous gift with mystery boxes and wanted to purchase one. Focusing on a weapon, specifically a melee weapon."
