Dee Dee waited for Hana as she finished dealing with the notice and waited to listen and apparently the system gives a bonus for having a certain amount of people, and Hana even had a skill that worked with that, that was quite interesting to hear, she would have to consider picking the abilities option next time she leveled up so she could hopefully get one that could be handy! and she was daydreaming a bit about what her possible ability, then her attention was called by Hana as she started to go through flashlights and she looked at the ones being offered. Looking them over she took one that she could wear on her head, one that was like a lantern for more all around coverage, another she could point if needed, and then one that looked like a tomato cause she liked that one, she also made sure to grab one for both Kramer and BombDee when she summoned them so they could have lights as well. and she gave Hana a thumbs up as she finished getting things set up, earing the one on her head but leaving it off for now as she handed Hana a Tomato before taking one out for herself to nibble on. All that was left, was to ether go in themselves or wait for someone else to join in with them so they could go down as a full group, though Dee Dee also had to remember to be careful when they did go in, after all Hana mentioned she may be to weak if the things get to dangerous down there. Hana smiled softly as the flashlights were replaced with a tomato. "Thanks, Dee Dee." Pulling a handkerchief from a pocket, she kept it handy for the inevitable juices and dribbles. Might as well take a short break while waiting for a response.

"Looks like a few people have read it, but nobody's responded yet." She updated Dee Dee a few minutes later, after finishing that snack, closing the system menu and moving towards the subterranean entrance again. "Guess we might as well take a quick look!" The blonde clicked on both flashlights, heading in first, while waiting for Dee Dee and her companions to follow.

It wasn't as dank as she'd been dreading, and there were no offensive odors. So far. The initial passage looked like something between a cave and tunnel. Shaped as if it were natural, although it started out constructed of man-made materials. No connecting passageways either, just one path that sometimes angled and turned, while continuing to head downwards.

Sitting with Hana as they enjoyed the Tomato break Dee Dee made sure the flashlights were working and nodded as they were, she also was rather enamored with the Tomato Flashlight and seemed to be polishing it as she sat with Hana, quite clearly happy to have it despite her rather plain expression she always seemed to have on her face, and after she shined the Tomato Flashlight very well she placed it in her inventory for safe keeping as she sat on the edge of the hole waiting to hear if anyone responded yet. Eventually Hana got back to her about it and it seemed no one replied yet so Hana suggested they go take a quick look and Dee Dee hopped up from her sitting place and quickly followed After Hana, As she ran she summoned both Kramer and BombDee and gave them flashlights... well more like made Kramer wear one on his head and then handed the lantern like one to the Waddle-dee which he turned on and followed along with. Dee Dee herself turned on the head mounted one she had for herself and followed after Hana. The place was actually not what Dee Dee was expecting out of this kind of place, but that was a good thing, and it was leagues better then having to travel through a sewer, so she had no complaints, and the added lights that her Summons were carrying did help quite a lot with making it move visible down here, "Well how far are we planning to go? The whole way? or are we only going to go a short way and wait a bit more to see if anyone is gonna reply?" she sent the message to Hana as they walked around the downward path Hana Sakuyuki |

"I think it's, like, widening or something." Hana called out, right before seeing Dee Dee's message. She stopped to read it properly, turning to nod at her. "Nothing too bad so far. I guess we keep looking around, as long as nothing jumps out at us? And there's no turns yet, so no getting lost."

She continued forward as the tunnel finally widened, opening up into a larger space. They could suddenly see dim light coming from above. Hana tilted her head back to look upwards, shining the flashlight in her hand as best she could. "...huh, I think those are the storm drains and grates and stuff. They were lucky they hadn't tried to just dive in through one of those, it would've been a long drop.

By now the underground passage was wide enough that all four of them could easily walk side by side, with room to spare. "I'm not really sure which direction that building was in, like, compared to the pothole. Do you have something we can mark the way back up with?" She stopped to point towards the narrow, upwards path, before looking down at Dee Dee.

Dee Dee continued to follow, As Hana commented on it getting widening Dee Dee nodded as they continued though she stopped when Hana did and realized she was reading her message and she waited for the reply. What Hana said was true it was a strait line so far so little chance at getting lost and nothing came at them so she nodded and followed after Hana when she continued to move forward, though her time in the Tutorial taught her one thing and she every now and again would check above them to make sure there was nothing up there that could come down on or behind them suddenly. As they entered the larger area Dee Dee looked around even as Hana took the time to look up this time and when attention was brought to the drains and grate Dee Dee looked up as well and then nodded, it sure looked like that was where all those drains and the like they had spotted before had lead, and considering the height it wouldn't have been a fun trip down for ether of them to suddenly stumble into, Though Dee Dee might have been able to get down by summoning Kramer and having him carry her down but that was only if she could do it fast enough... which popped into her head that she should likely train to summon them faster for emergency situations like that. Her attention was called back though when Hana mentioned marking their path, and Dee Dee had to think for a moment before she nodded and reached into her inventory and popped out some light reflecting tape she had found in a hardware store, she had used this to help make her Food Stall signs stand out more when it was lower light out, she then typed out a message and sent it to Hana as she started to take some tape off to make an arrow pointing the way they had come " have some of this, I have several rolls from a hardware store I got supplies from a while back, this should be the best Idea since it will reflect the light and really stand out down here, just have to point the arrows back the way we came and then finding our way back will be easy!" was what the message said as she ran back to Hana with the path they had used clearly marked, and just in case she gave Hana a roll for herself as well and a thumbs up. Hana saw the tape appear before Dee Dee worked on the message. "What's that? Oh, yeah." She nodded along as she read the explanation. "That should work." While she ran off to mark the passage back up, Hana attempted to pull up the area map. Of course, it was just blank and no help at all. The musician turned it off as she accepted the backup roll of tape.

"Thanks! See if you can put another arrow up anytime the tunnel gets too twisty." Hana herself began to walk near one of the walls, peeling off bits of tape to attach more or less at random. Somewhat like a trail of breadcrumbs. Eventually the path did begin to diverge. Paths off to the sides as the underground area widened, with a fork ahead of them.

"Uh...ideas? I can't pull up the map to even compare where we are to where the truck is, or anything." She pointed her flashlight towards each of the openings in turn. "Even then, I'm not sure the one pointing the right direction doesn't turn the wrong way immediately."

Dee Dee was glad her stuff was handy, and as they continued to walk she nodded as she did just as she was requested, keeping an eye out for when it got to twisted around to tell where they came from... but as they continued to walk it seemed like that wouldn't be happening at all during this little Delve, until that is they came to a split in the tunnel and Dee Dee quickly put up a tape arrow on the wall and on the floor both pointing down the path that lead to the surface, before she looked over at Hana as she asked her something. figuring out the right was underground was going to be difficult she remembered reading about a tunnel being built underground that had the same issue and they solved it with a special machine to tell the direction using earths spin to calculate directions, but that wouldn't help them here as they were not digging a tunnel but following one already made, and they had one destination and had a general Idea of where it was at least from an above ground point, which really meant all they knew was the general direction they should be trying to travel while underground. Thinking on it a bit more Dee Dee looked at Hana and then typed up a message "The best we can do is head down a path that we hope is the right way and see where it takes us, if it's taking us to far from the truck then we can turn back and try a different path that should work.. worst case scenario we could head back up and I could sent one of my faster summons through the grate and have them map back to where this fork is... but that would be really dangerous since I wouldn't be able to be there with them, though I could communicate with them With that sent she took out some paper and started to sketch a rudimentary map to help keep track of where they where going and where they had come from, as a back up to the light tape. Hana peered down each tunnel, while reading the message from Dee Dee. "Um, yeah...I'm not much of an explorer, so..." The teen shrugged. "We'll just pick one and go!" She pointed to the passage she was standing in front of at the moment, the rightmost fork heading forward out of the open space.

Moving slowly, giving Dee Dee plenty of time to catch up, she cautiously examined the way forward. By now, the tunnels were completely made of natural materials, although they still had that slightly manufactured appearance. Custom made by Earth-chan to appear natural, she assumed.

"It gets a little wider again up here..." Hana stuck a few more bits of tape to the wall before stowing the roll away. "Huh? Do you hear that?" She tilted her head...the musician did have rather good hearing. Although, once the rumbling started, it would be hard for Dee Dee to miss the ground and walls vibrating...

Dee Dee looked to Hana as she seemed to be thinking and reading her message, but after a bit of time she replied and Dee Dee nodded to the Idea of just picking a direction and going down that way, so she followed After Hana making sure to mark the passage so they knew which direction to go to get out, that way if they did have to come back around they wouldn't have to make any guesses, though considering she made sure to mark the path back as well she may have been over doing it, but she didn't wanna get lost down here. As soon as she was done marking the passage she took out her notepad and added to the map she had been making as she followed Hana making sure to clearly mark which why they had gone and which way to the exit. It always helped to have a back up means of finding your way. She quickly caught up to Hana mostly due to the Taller girl giving Dee Dee time to do so as she was also walking a bit slow as she drew, but thankfully once regrouped they were walking at a nice pace as Dee Dee would stop drawing for a bit and follow along before adding more to the map she drew, granted the path wasn't turning or anything but still good to have a detailed map regardless of the situation, cause then if they did run into any oddities she could make a note on the map, such as the changing construction of the tunnels. She stopped as Hana called attention to the place getting wider again and she looked around in all directions including up eyeballing the measurements which she started to add as notes to the map she was drawing, that's when Hana called attention to a sound and Dee Dee looked up and listened for a moment before shaking her head... only to then feel vibrating of the tunnel and hear the rumbling, then she started to nod rapidly as she looked around to make sure the cavern walls weren't about to give in on them Hana Sakuyuki |

What was causing it? Well, a group of rather large Fire ants was currently burrowing a new tunnel near the region where the girls were at. Once the pair of humans were in the larger cavern, they would notice the wall nearest to them seemed to be cracking and losing debris. Within a moment, the wall would burst open and a group of dog size ants stumbled out. Their bodies covered in dirt coupled with the low light hid their fiery color but the small burst of flames from the tips of their pincers alerted the two girls to the beasts’ true nature. While the ants might have looked intimidating, they were actually just worker ants. Sent down this path to expand their colony. They looked at the humans for a moment before scurrying down a path near the back of the cavern, leaving their hole open and unguarded. As the vibration intensified, becoming a solid rumble, Hana began to back away. A pink, heart-shaped buckler appeared on her left arm as she held it in front of her, glancing behind her at Dee Dee to make sure she wasn't trampling the other girl. When the rock wall burst open, she flinched, ready for an attack...but the giant insects simply looked them over before heading off in the opposite direction.

After a few moments she lowered the small shield, relaxing slightly. "Well, uh...that explains how all these tunnels got here." Hana turned back towards Dee Dee to smile reassuringly, right as the system menu popped up between them. "Eh? And this explains why Earth-chan set this whole thing up in the first place."

After taking a few moments to read over the message, she moved up the tunnel again to peer down the connecting passage the giant ants had opened up. "What do you think, Dee Dee? There's probably a lot of them, but they don't seem too dangerous." Hana returned to the floating menu. "And I can always teleport us out if things get too dangerous!"

Dee Dee braced herself as the shaking got worse and the rumbling louder, and as it continued she took out her staff and got ready for a fight, looking to Hana who looked back over at her she nodded to her then looked ahead to where the rumbling and shaking got more pronounced, the wall collapsed and then there came some giant ants, Dee Dee blinked a moment as she looked them over, as she expected them to attack them, but instead they simply looked at them then wandered off, well that was handy at least they didn't have to fight them right? Looking back to Hana as her partner started talking, she nodded to the comment about the tunnels, it did explain a great deal to their uniformity and construction, but that still left the question as to why that building was underground in the first place... unless Earth-chan put it there to be a home for something? Just then as Hana turned to face her A message popped up and Dee Dee read through it, and that seemed to explain what was happened and Hana mentioned it did explain things fairly well. On being questions about what do to Dee Dee sent a message to Hana "Considering that someone might stumble upon this place later, it may be better to explore it and document it so people are aware it is here, as it may be a danger to others that may come out here to scavenge the place, and we do have means to escape if required so we are at least equipped to deal with the situation at the moment, besides, it's an exploration quest not an elimination mission at least, we can try to sneak around the ants too right?"Hana Sakuyuki |

Dee Dee gave a Thumbs up to Hana as she agreed with her on the assessment of what they should do and why, so with that planned out then she watched as Hana accepted the mission and Dee Dee did the same nodding as she got out the extra lights, and it seemed they got a map now that this was all official like from Earth-chan so that was gonna be handy, though that wouldn't stop Dee Dee from making her paper copy or from marking the path with the tape as they went, always good to have back ups. At Hana telling her to be prepared Dee Dee nodded and pointed to the Waddle-dee and the Baby dragon, they had their lights and everything already, but to make sure of something she placed a ruby studded Collar on Kramer, to keep him healthy since he may have more difficulty in the tunnels then BombDee would due to the possibility of smaller spaced, she then kept her Staff out but also made sure her throwing daggers and her Dagger weapon where ready to retrieve if she needed them before giving Hana a thumbs up and sending her a message "If I need to de-summon them, then I can do so quickly, and summon them back relatively quickly as well, and I am ready to go Hana" she nodded to the other woman as she prepared to move in with her. At the moment she was honestly surprised that such a thing could happen, but it also meant she should consider exploring more to find such things, after all not taking care of monster nests could lead to larger and stronger nests, or even having them turn into dungeons, and if they hadn't stumbled upon these ants who knows where the entrance to the dungeon might have emerged, it could have been catastrophic if it appeared somewhere that newer people tended to congregate. "It feels kinda warm..." The previous passageways had felt cool, and slightly damp. The air in this freshly created tunnel was dry and hot. "I guess that's how the ants like it." Hana had noticed the flicker of fire from the insects earlier, so they'd definitely have to watch out for flames and heat.

After a few twists and turns, the passage finally began to widen, before opening into a much larger area. It seemed to be some sort of junction in the ant network, more openings dotting the walls. Some were even higher up, for the insects to climb into. Speaking of, there were several of the creatures passing through the cavern, from one opening to another, and more milling about in the middle.

"Um, it might be difficult to sneak past them...maybe they won't pay attention to us, like the last ones?" Hana glanced back at Dee Dee while staying close to the tunnel wall, trying to blend in. She took a moment to look over their map. There was now something marked further ahead, that might be their destination. Of course, guessing which of the twisting tunnels they should take to get there was part of the problem.
