orvis peck Ella Moore enigma Sami sebastian [attr="class","bg"]REBIRTH Ippo finally sheathed his microphone and withdrew instead the mechabug "dagger" - his own only weapon he'd gotten from the encounter other than a very poor sense of help from the attack. Though, it seemed to have pulled more... than he would have liked. But, they were going to have to face it at any point anyways, right? "Hold on!" Ippo held on to Il-Seong as they began to try and move toward the green, but following behind the other party members. So, at the same time - how did he do abilities? He began to think very hard on the subject, but what would he do? If only he could enchant the party! To follow up on Sebastian's attacks was the best he could while supporting a secondary party who too, was indeed fighting, pushing forward and slicing quite poorly at the statues. It made it very clunky for him, but Ippo himself also didn't want to die; if they had to move forward, and there were a driving spear for the two of them; he was going to let go. It was harsh, but he would protect his own life first and foremostly. Then - if he could, he would continue to retrieve the man if it were possible. This was the reason he had come here, after all. The creature sat on its throne a smile creeping along its dirt mattered face as he watched the new ants scurry struggle about. It seemed these ones could at least follow directions. A simple thing that so many others before them had failed to do. Perhaps if they had the creature wouldn't be so bored now. So utterly unamused.[break][break]
However, this new batch looked to be a bit more refined than the last, even if only by a little bit. Time would tell now, would they survive the onslaught of what was to come, would they fall into the hellscape? Who knew, but the creature so desperately longed for them to reach him, simply so that he could have the pleasure of killing them with his bare hands...

Il-Seong and Chae-Yeong found themselves dumbstruck by the realization of Ippo aggroing the creatures and not being able to use his abilities as everyone else, in the party. Il-Seong seconded, Sami's words with a pained expression toward Ippo, he followed up on Sebastian's comment, "I'm also curious about that," he said turning his attention back to the statues at hand. The moment of reprieve of wondering how easy Ippo's tutorial must have been for him to make it through the guy was just really lucky, or far more skilled than he had thought. Either way, he was jealous and annoyed all at once.[break][break]
Chae-Yeong moved toward her brother, placing herself in front of him, and Ippo, she didn't know what she could truly do with her binder besides smacking the statues with them on occasion if they moved too close but that did little to no damage on her end for the most part, not without the others severely weakening them beforehand. [break][break]
Il-Seong and Chae-Yeong listened close as Enigma spoke, they both nodded in unison to the man's words, the approaching onslaught of statues causing a bead of sweat to roll down the side of both their faces. A heavy gulp could be heard coming from Chae-Yeong as she watched everything unfold. [break][break]
Enigma would find that his words were spot on, the tight formation would in turn disrupt most inexperienced parties, however, with Sami charging forward and his maddening aura taking effect, the new batch of statues would once again become eradicated after entering his range, as they did, Engima's butterflies and whimsical shapes would crash into the lower half of one of the statues with a spear, causing it to stumble forward.[break][break]
Its spear plummeted to the ground only for its body to fall over it, tripping two more of the statues on both sides of it. This disruption to the formation allowed Sami the opportunity to slip beneath the statue, his taser would make contact and the stone statue would crumble. Its spear toppled to the side, however, another would quickly reach to pick it up, while one of the fallen would reach of gripping Sami's leg with such force it would bruise.[break][break]
Though their initial attack was successful it didn't stop the formation from advancing, instead, they continued to trudge forward, Sami's maddening aura was enough to cause many of the statues from stepping around him, sans the one gripping his leg, its head turning to a 90-degree angle as it tried to pry its broken body forward, using its free hand for leverage against the dirt.[break][break]
The red was slowly approaching still, thus as the group continued to move forward the distance between the formation of statues came far quicker than any would've liked. The last spear-wielding statue would find itself toppling into rubble as Sebastian's feather blade slammed into its center mass, its spear quickly picked up by another statute from behind. [break][break]
However, the other two feather blades would simply flop harmlessly to the side. The spider boy had overestimated his strength as if they could sense such as two of the statues breaking from formation and closing in on Sebastian, one having been the statue that had picked up the fallen spear. [break][break]
The spear-wielding statue would whip its spear outward, clashing with Sebastian's spider legs, it twirled the spear around with expertise unbefitting that of a statue before leveling the tip of the blade of the spear toward the boy's chest and jabbing toward it. [break][break]
Like before any spears that were fallen were picked up by statues behind in the formation, Enigma's butterflies had only proved to topple their movement for but a moment as they tripped over one another, but as they regained their footing the assault continued. Only 12 of the statues remained at this point, 3 of which were now moving with only the upper half of their bodies. One held a spear and broke away from the formation moving to stab Chae-Yeong and Ippo, or perhaps Il-Seong. [break][break]
Chae-Yeong rolled to the side dodging the spear strike. The statue readjusted its spear aim after such, aiming toward Ippo's stomach. Ippo let go of the Il-Seong and in doing so, Il-Seong fell to the side as Ippo was able to dodge, thankfully. Il-Seong's fall had allowed him to also dodge, he assumed that Ippo had done such on purpose to save him. Chae-Yeong smacked the statue with her binder, causing it to turn near her. At that moment Orvis had made his way closer to Il-Seong, giving his bone handle for him to prop himself up on. [break][break]
When Grumble attacked the nearest statute, it knocked the spear out of the statue's hands, as the slime crashed into its side. Il-Seong nodded to Orivs's words, using his blade to further prop himself up as Orvis lifted him with the bone club that hooked himself onto. Following Orvis's lead, Il-Seong stabbed at the spear-wielding statue causing it to crumble into rubble. [break][break]
Then to the sibling's surprise they heard, words and could see them, they could physically see the words above, Ippo's head. They found themselves bewildered. 11 Statues remained, and though none had spears of the year they were still closing in on the party, before they knew it the party would find they had made their way closer to Sami and that the statues had moved to form a semi-circle around them, and were still slowly moving to try and encircle them completely. [break][break]
Three spears remained now on the ground, one to the far east of Sami and Sebastian, one to the north of Enigma, and one to the west of Orvis, statues were already reaching for it, and a single statue each were now moving forward to deal damage with a melee punch to each party member. All the while the red tint of the ground was slowly closing in on them. [break][break]

As odd as it was, it would seem as though the majority of the statues had chosen to simply walk past him. He had an inkling that this might have something to do with his passive ability but in all honesty, there was simply no real way for him to know that. Of course not all of them would decide to ignore his assault upon them. With enough force to bruise the skin, one of the bottomless statues would tightly grip onto the mans leg. Clearly this was dealing some rather intensive damage to the man but at least it wasn't as bad as it could have been..

Knowing that he wasn't about to simply stand by and allow himself to be torn apart by these terracotta copies, Sami would light up his taser once more and shove the electrical bits directly into the back of the statues skull. "Take this you stupid fuck!!" Once this thing had loosened it's grip on him, Sami would take the time to snatch up one of the spears that had fallen to the ground if any were still available. He himself didn't really need the thing but he had felt as though it was best to keep such weapons out of the creatures ways.

With so many of the statues closing in on him, Sami had known just how bad things were starting to look. Even now though, he hadn't found himself afraid of what would come next. No, if nothing else, he had simply found himself growing all the more annoyed. "We need to clear these things out and continue on before the light catches up to us!" Of course, if Sami was capable of acquiring the spear that had been nearby, he would take the time to toss it on over towards Sebastian with a simple, "Heads up!" whilst attempting to turn his body in an effective manner to at least lessen the blow that the statue was sending his way.

Things were moving at a decent pace, the beast master with the slime had some command over the creature. Attacking together allowed them to have an extra pair of hands. Sebastian handled orders quite well, and his command over the feather projectiles was interesting. The fact that he had to pick them up was something that Tommy had to take note of, certain ammo wasn't easily replenishable for certain classes. Even so, Ippo started using his power, or whatever it was. Seeing the words threw Tommy off, but he knew that it would have to mean something in the end. Seeing Sami go ahead and take point with the distribution of the spears, gave Tommy an idea. "Sami is right, we can use this to our advantage."He continued.
"Some of these statues are unarmed. The reach for the spears on the floor should be used as an opening, they would be exposing themselves instead of lunging for the others. That would be the easiest time to take them off the playing field. It's time to use their stragety against them while taking advantage of the distance, they can't come close if we pick up those spears and use them instead. With the buff, we got from being in the group and the increase from the sister sibling, it would make up for the difference in stats if it seems too heavy. Ippo, I know that you are doing your power thing. But when you get the chance, pick up the spear. You can't be the only one unarmed here and Chae-Yeong has to tend to her brother due to his leg. "They were listening so far. At the very least, Tommy figured that his idea had some merit. With the statue that was attacking Tommy immediately, he gave it priority and hit it with a barrage of whimsical shapes to attempt to destroy or heavily damage the statue. After that, Tommy focused on the statue in the north that was trying to pick up the spear by sending some butterflies to attack and damage its head while it went low to get the spear, not having to worry about Sebastian since Sami tossed him a spear already. Using this moment, Tommy reached for the spear and quickly tossed it in Ippo's direction. "Heads up Ippo, catch!" He had his projectiles so far and it didn't fail him yet. He would get another opportunity he hoped, but he made a decision based on what he believed to be right. In the meantime, Tommy played defensively, striking any statue with butterfly projectiles if they got within 15 feet of him. orvis peck Ippo sebastian Sami thaosAbility The Beguiler uses illusions and mental effects to manipulate the minds of others while also causing very real harm through the tricks of light they create. Sebastian stopped for a second, staring at Ippo who unsheathed a dagger and was using it to stab the stone warriors before continuing. He felt if he opened his mouth to say anything more to him, the spider teen would lose what little remained of his self-control and curse him out. "If he had a fucking knife this entire time then why the fucking hell didn't he use it first!?"[break][break]
Stopping collecting his spent feathers, Sebastian glanced back to check on the advancing red line. They appeared to be making good time but he didn't want to get too complacent in case it were to speed up or another command was issued by the throned giant that ended up stalling them. His concern for the line though caused him to overestimate his strength, resulting in two of his feathers missing, allowing two of the statues to advance toward him.[break][break]
"Shit!" would be all that he could get out before having to defend against a spear strike using his spider legs. The stone soldier would then demonstrate its proficiency with its blade, whipping it about to pull into another stab, this one aimed at his chest.[break][break]
Thinking quickly, Sebastian used his spider legs to push himself out of the way of the attack before using his special ability and shooting a web string at the other statue and yanking forward, aiming to have it crash into the spear-wielding statue and hopefully they end up breaking each other apart.[break][break]
If they didn't smash apart on impact, Sebastian would use the momentary confusion from them crashing into one another to catch the spear that Sami had thrown at him and thrust in through the body of the primary statue; and hopefully end up catching the second one as well. Should they both end up being destroyed, the spider teen would move forward to go help Sami, tossing a few feathers to either act as distractions or at least take out some of their opponents.

"It's not like we've had long." Ippo grumbled back at them, he was doing better than they had; and they were Korean! Their entwined histories were not exactly popular with the either, so him helping them was because he wanted to. He continued thinking hard. Whatever Sami was doing was working; stones were crumbling, but the non-battle hardened accountant merely had a bug he didn't know how it worked, and was doing his best at "taking on the bad guys" for a man who had never played video games. It lacked heart; direction, and general lethality. But, it was an attempt all the same. He had to let go of Il-Seong on account of not being stabbed and his heart was overloading in a way, everything inside his body felt spiky with fear and adrenaline. For now though, he had both hands to work with. Sami was yelling orders and to be perfectly honest, was better for Ippo to be led than try to lead himself. He would wince in response, as if he had been stabbed by them as well, the pain must be awful. he imagined it being similar to the time he became a human pincushion in his tutorial, covered in small but deadly arrows shot from little lizard people. Trying to avoid a repeat of that, Orvis would point and command at Grumble. [break][break] "Keep it away from me!" He shouted, running over to one of the fallen spears and lunging for it before a statue could reach it. Before the red could creep any closer, Orvis would spin on his heel and retreat to the safe zone. With a swift pivot and built up momentum, he arched back and plunged the spear forwards into a nearby statue (or at least aim to). Grumble would also attack the same target, always aiming for the legs and ankles.

All of them would find that their attacks were working successfully, having taken down the statues surrounding them thanks to the strength of those within their party and their party's bonus attributes which greatly attributed to their individual stats. Il-Seong would give a sigh of relief as the statues fell. The boy shook his head no to Ippo's comment as Orvis had been helping him, and he felt that for the time being he would much prefer to focus on the tasks at hand. [break][break]
However, they would all find that the seemingly endless army of statues wasn't done with them yet, many statues had been making their way over still, some with more advanced weapons than just blades, and some even held boys. Though then in the distance approximately 15 meters away they could hear an explosion that rocked through the surroundings, leaving a large plum of dust in its wake. [break][break]
Although just as it seemed that more enemies, perhaps stronger ones were on the way they could hear the giant yell out, and all the statues froze in place their armor falling away into nothing but dust, it was just as they had seen before in the field, nothing but people who had been turned to stone, but it appeared that for the time being the pathway was clear. Or so it seemed... [break][break]
It appeared the group was more competent than the boss monster initially thought as he watched each of the puny mortals fighting for their lives, grabbing hold of spears and even using them to their advantage. It would only be a matter of time before they reach him now. Good, that was great he rather enjoyed that aspect, finally, it seemed as though he would have a challenge. A fight worthy of his time since the static within his mind demanded that he kill all of these puny creatures. These small tiny things were nothing more than mere plaything and it honestly irritated him that he had to even bother with them. Only able to use these things as subjects to fight and nothing more before disposing of them. [break][break]
His skills were far too great to be designated to such a role. He yawned once more, this sound bellowing out across the field of fighters, before placing up a single hand and bellowing out the words, "Stop fighting," just then all of the statues would freeze in place. It was as if someone had taken the batteries out of a toy race car. Then the statues would slowly turn back into what they were before, the Terracotta armor simply crumbling into the dirt around them. [break][break]
However, just as he said that the diffrent colored ground beneath them would increase in speed, the red zone was moving even faster now, turning any statue it swept beneath into mere dust. The group would only be a simple 10 meters away from it now, they would have to get a move on unless they wanted to be destroyed. All the while they would feel an eerie aura of power wafting from the giant who set atop its throne in the distance, a wicked grin plastered across his face. [break][break]
