Honey had been in China... right? Last she remembered she had been fighting a golem with a young man and shadow-y wolves. Next she remembered was flashes to the draconian islands that she vaguely remembered? She needed to get back to her sister. Was this hell? At least she had her flowers right? Right? She needed to pull herself together for this. Sooner rather then later too.

A screen had appeared before her and she had fully pulled herself together, the unconscious immediate summoning of her sunflower field was something that she needed to deal with. The whispers of the petals around her, the comfort of her friends an immediate answer to help her compose as she read the screen placed in front of her. 'Cross the bridge before your caught by The Mass'. That was all she needed to know about that, but where was the bridge? She had zero clue, and the best way to find out? Begin moving.

Beginning to take in her surroundings and shift into a jaunt Honey would look to see if there was anything else of note. And ended up only noticing the only other living person she could see. She didn't wave however, urged by her friends to finish the mission at hand. If the woman knew what was best for her, she would start running too.[break]

The last thing Amelia remember was being in Italy at an excavation site that dated back to the Roman era. Then a flash of light before everything turned black and she awoke in this strange place.
As the red-haired women rose slowly to her feet and began to look around. Her gaze would then shift to a screen that said something about being the system and her class. As she read it over it did nothing to help her confusion. This all seemed like a dream. However she didn't get long to think about it as the system alert switch to something about a tutorial and how she had to cross a bridge before getting caught by the mass.
Despite thinking it was a dream she had a no choice but to go along for now. As such she would waste no time picking up the sword called silence which apparently belonged to her. It was surprising light in her hands despite the fact it was a greatsword. With everything set she would take off in a jog. Spotting what seemed to be a teenage girl as well running in the same direction. However Amelia couldn't exactly speak to her mor could she sign to the other person while on the move. So for now any questions she had would have to wait.

𖣓 Barbara grunts as she lands flat-footed in some new location, and she starts to straighten herself back up, expecting the familiar little twinge of pain in her right thigh from the wound she'd suffered years ago from the shrapnel of an improvised explosive, in a war she barely even remembered, but finds that there's no pain there anymore. Her eyes had been closed, as well, and when she opened them, she was looking through her usual yellow-lensed eye protection, but now things seemed very different, her eyes twitching this way and that to catch sight of various small things in this strange environment. The last thing she had remembered was some kind of castillo in Mexico, a one-woman raid of revenge. No, wait, that wasn't entirely true. Barbara also remembered a screen with a message from Earth-chan, and some kind of a loading bar across a screen. It had been agonizingly slow when she'd watched its progress, but perhaps now it had been completed. She felt something bump against her collarbone, a familiar feeling of a particular bullet against her skin, and she touches it lightly before realizing that she wasn't exactly alone.
Barbara pieces together what she can remember from the screen, although it was a bit hazy exactly what she had experienced. She knows she has some kind of a class, which she felt was a bit like selecting a load-out from some of her favorite classic FPS games. Now a new screen, with some kind of an objective is in front of her, ordering her across the bridge before she's caught by "the Mass". That certainly doesn't sound particularly fun. Barbara rises from where she'd been squatting in the underbrush, so it was no surprise that the other two might not have noticed her before now, since she'd been completely still; her training in a moment of uncertainty caused her to become still as a rock so as to not be noticed by others. She raises what she'd thought at first was her trusty Desert Eagle, only to find a completely different weapon, some kind of incredibly long rifle. Barbara looks down at it and is instantly flooded with a name for the weapon before she even has a chance to ask herself any questions: "Runemark".
"Well, shit."
Suddenly, she remembers that she's not alone again and lifts her left hand in greeting at the other two people she can see, although she doesn't know their names just yet.
"'Ey! You ain't gonna leave me behind!"
Babs moves at a quick speed after the other two, sprinting in order to catch up; she finds herself just a bit slower than the blonde, but around as athletic as the admittedly good-looking redhead, although this estimate is pure guesswork. She turns towards the redhead, since she seems to be the most "with it" at the moment.

Was this a mass of bats that was chasing them? Well chase was the wrong word, it was more like it had outran them in a meme moment. That was not a good sign in Honey's opinion, and she didn't even have time to register the other woman who had appeared. The whispers of her friends told her the solution and she listened in an instant on the matter. The flowers whispering about something in this system being there to help her, just like they were there to help her. Scanning the blue screen in front of her she found it as the whispers egged her on. Encouraging.

In her hand a vial in the shape of a sunflower appeared as she threw it with a practiced throw as she started to move again. Her flowers growing thorns as she sprinted forward towards the mass. Unafraid as she was surrounded by her friends, if the two women here helped that was a debt she could repay later, but for now Honey didn't care about them in the slightest. They would slow her down more then she wanted to be.

As the vial smashed into the few bats it could reach a few of the creatures would dive for her into the field, being shredded by her field. A massive reaper's sickle forming as it aimed to come down upon her head from above.[break]

As Amelia took off running towards the smaller women she heard another voice yelling out leaving them behind which only further added to the confusion. Since Amelia didn't notice the other women beforehand nor did she recognize the women was now running to catch up with Amelia. The red-haired woman couldn't really answer Barbara's question for two reasons one being she didn't really have any idea what this mass was exactly however judging by the fact they were supposed to escape it whatever it was didn't seem like it would be all that friendly. The second reason was that well Amelia was mute and couldn't exactly sign while running. However, the three women didn't have to wait long as the mass then appeared in front of them blocking the way forward which meant they now had to fight whatever it was.
The youngest of the three seemed to waste no time doing so as she threw some type of vial which seemed to make the flowers growing around her gain thorns. As the mass went to attack Honey with its sickle Amelia would then make her own move running into the flower field which shredded her DEF in the process she would then use her sword silence blocking the mass's attack before countering with her own attack dealing F damage to the mass and leaving an opening for Barbara.

𖣓Barbara found herself being answered almost directly as the sky darkens, and the shrieking bats draw her attention to the strange being gathering with the bats. If anything was going to be called "a mass" then this being was it. She frowns as it draws a sickle from seemingly nowhere, but she raises her arquebus to her shoulder, preparing to shoot it before the other two girls move past her towards the strange thing. One of them, the blonde, throws some kind of vial at the Mass, causing the glass to shatter and bringing the bats into her field of sunflowers that had sprouted thorns, causing the bats to become shredded apart, though that didn't really stop the larger creature. The redhead, who also hadn't bothered speaking to her, ran into the field of sunflowers herself, getting hurt by the thorns as well before using her sword to halt the advance of the sickle and give it a counterattack. So much for escaping the Mass, now it seemed they were just going to have to fight it.
"Aw, hell. This better be worth it."
Remembering what she had seen of her own class abilities, she remembers reading about two of the runes, one of them being something that would cause her next shot to deal additional damage, and another being some kind of explosion attack, like a shrapnel grenade. She loads her arquebus with two round balls and then fires them one after another. She's fairly certain that's not really how even an arquebus works, but she's not going to second-guess it; the first she fires is the Shredder runic round, hoping to weaken the creature against her other runic round, this one being the Shrapnel variation. She notices a clock counter show up in the corner of her eye, but she ignores it for now so she can focus on giving one last normal shot against the strange being, hoping that her last round will do the mopping up of anything left of the strange creature. coded by pinn @ thq |

And like that it was... finished? Honey was actually confused by what they were supposed to continue running from if the creature called [The Mass] was supposed to not be something they fought, but hopefully they could just get to the bridge and cross it without issue now. Turning only long enough to bow, and disappear into the sunflowers around her, Honey would rise and turn to start running again. They had worked well together, but she earnestly didn't expect normal people to be friendly for long. Humans were quick to violence when they were faced with the unknown, and she was not about to put up with that specific issue.

With the whispers urging her forward from her friends growing louder as they went Honey began to follow her own memory of which city she assumed this was. It was rare that the obscure street knowledge and maps she had been forced to learn actually came in handy to a literal degree. This was one of those situations though as she began to simply run off from the other two ladies. If they chose to follow Honey would end up leading them closer to the bridge, but something about that fight still didn't sit right... what exactly didn't seem right? Honey wasn't sure, but their goal was closer.

Amelia was surprised that they had taken out the mass so easily. After all the whole escape thing made it seem as if whatever was chasing them would have been a lot stronger than they were or perhaps even unkillable. However that very much wasn't the case seeing as how after Barbra's flurry of attacks the mass was down for the count. The red-haired woman of course wasn't going to complain as the goal of escaping this place would be a lot easier without getting chased by something that wanted to kill them as such Amelia would put Silence back on her back seeing no need to use it at the moment. As the smaller blonde started running off Amelia would turn and face Barbara before sighing to the other women who would hopefully understand it.
"Good job on taking out that thing. We should keep moving though our other companion seems to know the way out so we should follow her." Amelia would wait a few moments for a response before following Honey and made sure to keep out of her sunflower garden to avoid breaking her defense again.

𖣓Barbara smirks a little when she sees the creature seem to disappear, clearly feeling accomplished in her job at taking out the creature that had mostly just been a mass of bats with a scythe. She quickly, almost as if by reflex, reloads the arquebus, and although her motions are practiced, she surprises herself in the way that her hands move automatically to reload the breech-loading rifle with a shot and powder. She'd never even handled an antique firearm before, so her ability to do so now was actually a bit stunning for her. She finishes her reloading and puts the arquebus away, thinking their job is finished as she smiles at the compliment from the redhead.
"Thanks babe. But yeah, the tutorial said something about crossing the bridge, so that's probably the only way to win? Let's get going."
It was pretty strange that the blonde didn't say a single word to either of them, and Barbara actually wonders if she might be mute, but now that the tutorial seems to be over, it shouldn't matter much. She turns and starts jogging across the bridge, but she's still surprised that her right leg isn't limping anymore, and she wonders what exactly had caused an injury she was told would be making her limp for the rest of her life to become healed. Did it have something to do with The Light? Nothing was making sense for her, but she could deal with it later, once they had crossed the bridge and the tutorial was over. coded by pinn @ thq |
