The door opened yet again as the other customers were being helped, and what a sight it was! A woman clad in armor sans the helmet, stomping through the aisles of her store with the brightest of smiles plastered onto her face. It was just like all of the RPGs that Soyeon ha had played as a child! The heroic adventurer, stopping by the shop at the starting town to stock up on supplies. Maybe the hair was a bit short, but the motherly woman did find herself fully engaged with the other woman standing before the counter! It may have been her life's dream to become just the woman to do something akin to this, but she was more than willing to beep that experience for somebody else! besides, she doubted that any of her old cosplay armor from back in the day with Gavin would fit anymore. [break][break]

Reminiscing on old days aside, she perked up and greeted the other woman as she approached. The old timey speech was a cute quirk, one that made Soyeon had to bite her tongue to keep from fawning over how perfect of a heroine this woman was! Surely she was ripped straight from the pages of Super Shamicon Monthly! She was quick to try and match her tone of speaking, funneling all those years of online MMORPGs in college! "Be not apprehensive, honorable paladin. I am but a humble servant of the Goddess herself, come to assist you in your quest. My wares may not be as material as most other shops, but I can assure you, they are potent magicks indeed." she snickered to herself, leaning in return across from the armor wearing woman, arms crossed from one another and her phone present. Indeed, her eyes did cross over to observe the nooks and crannies of the armor, though she was entirely too giddy about the outfit for it to be anything other than admiration. [break][break]

"It is an honor to meet a woman such as yourself, Genesis. I am Soyeon, owner of the XChange. As you can guess, should you acquire any unwanted items or skills, I can recycle them into new things with my class. The result is rather unpredictable, but such is life! Is there anything I can help you with today, my heroine?~" She listened to the request made of her, simple in theory. Genesis wanted something that would enhance one's growth in the system's given level limit and class. Luckily, she had just the thing for this kind of thing! "I think I have something that may be able to assist you and your friends. Here, this first one will be one me, seeing as how you seem fresh out of a tutorial." Soyeon slid her phone out to pay for the Coints needed for the transaction, paying for it with her own stash as magic began to eminate from her phone and onto Genesis.[break][break]

"Oh my, I'm becoming popular!" Soyeon said cheerfully as another boy stepped inside. He had that sort of "bad boy" look to him that many a woman (or guy!) could be swooned by. She waved at him and with hearty giggle, busy taking a small chug of a bottle of beer resting on the counter top. Her eyes went to the man's dyed hair as she listened to his desires like the wise shopkeeper and sage she was! "Hey there~ I'll take whatever you're willing to give me. Just lay it down on the counter and I'll take care of the rest!" [break][break]

One person's order and several Coints plopped into her personal account later, another newcomer to the store entered. Soyeon was happy to see another person coming to revel in what she could offer to people. This person seemed a bit sullen though. It activated the mother inside of her enough that her gaze instantly went over with a warm and inviting voice. "Not at all, sweetie! Step right up and show me what you want to trade in. Do you need anything? A drink, some snacks? Maybe a quick chat?" [break][break]

It had indeed looked very uneasy in the middle of the battle, but somehow against all odds, Soyeon and Dalton had pulled through. The rogue reindeer was fallened, with last smack of Soyeon's bat against the side of his head was enough to lay the wary creature to rest. With her weapon raised just in case he got up once more, Soyeon set it down and celebrated her victory with the others. "Duh-duh-duh-duhhhhh dun-dun duh-duh-duhhhhhhhh!~" Noel was quick to match her enthusiasm, running to hug her and raise her off the ground before doing a spin. Once off of the ground, Soyeon went over to Dalton and showered him in affection and praise. "You two were so brave! I might have to start working out if I want to get as strong as you guys~" [break][break]

A window popped up celebrating their victory together, alongside with their rewards for completing the seasonal mission. The Christmas decorations were a bit overkill, but points were always welcomed in today's economy. Another window did open that prompted both for what they wanted for Christmas. Soyeon's eyes lit up at the question, her heart racing in joy. This was the chance to finally discover what she worried about ever since loading into this stupid little game. Dalton's was a bit what she would have assumed as such: a place to put his weird camera cards and photos at. He asjed her what she wanted as Soyeon scrolled through her phone and pointed it at the prompt window, a picture of a little girl, the striking image of her mother, on the screen. [break][break]

"This is Hana, my daughter." Soyeon began carefully, her voice full of restrained fear but hopeful. "I've been looking for her ever since I loaded in, without any clue or anything to tell me she's okay. I won't ask for anything else ever, not a single thing, but I want to see her, be able to hold her again. She's my entire reason for existing, and I need to know that she's okay." The woman dropped down onto her knees in front of the window, bringing both hands together in front of the system. "I'll do anything, whatever it takes. I'll sell everything for free, I'll walk across the entire world, I'll dig for treasure by hand, I'll kill anybody you want. Just please, let me see her again..." [break][break]

Tears dropped onto the ground below in a steady pattern, with Soyeon having to keep herself from wailing. [break][break]

Dalton had his camera in hand while Soyeon brought up her own phone to investigate what kind of class that she had in story. While a part of her was expecting some kind of hero or knight class (as she had leveled in tons of RPGs before), she was directly surprised to see the summary of what she could do in writing. "DirectXChanger?" she repeated, arching an eyebrow in confusion. So she was going to be a shopkeeper of some kind? It wasn't a horrible deal, given her history of just selling goods and running a store, but it did put a hamper on what she could realistically do for Dalton here. "I can't help much, not unless we find something that needs to be disassembled, but I'll do what I can, sweetie."[break][break]

Dalton, however, appeared to get something far more advantageous than she had been given. For one, she stood beside him as he drew from an available roster of cards and more. When he did select an option for those available, the boy was treated to one man being summoned before him. This creature(?) had short red hair, wore a kind of worn looking jacket and gave off the appearance of a sort of tough guy. He was going to be far more valuable than she was given the little disparity of combat effectiveness between them. She still was rather impressed by the class. "I see somebody's going to be pulling for gacha rolls soon~" Soyeon teased him, though heeded the advice well.[break][break]

Still believing that she was dreaming, the mother continued to lead the charge in front of them, for better or worse. A hand lay on the stone wall, using Dalton's technique as they were on their way to finding their way out of this maze. Somehow, some way, they would just have to follow the walls until they found an exit, or something similar in structure. [break][break]

The struggle against their merry friend was drawing to a close as Soyeon and Noel continued to protect Dalton from harm’s way. She had wondered what it would be like to have a class that relied on other people or creatures to do everything, as it only made her concern for the pink haired boy all the more noticeable. Would he be able to fend for himself if she wasn't here? What about her own class? What if she wasn't able to protect him as a glorified recycle maiden? The mother's heart ached for seeing Dalton in such distress, enough so that she was holding her own against the foe pretty well, all things considered. The bat defended against a charge attack by the pissed off reindeer, it's eyes glaring and snorting in her direction. Soyeon held the perpendicular of the thrust while her feet dug into the ground as it was forcing her back. [break][break]

"I can't let him down. I can't let him down." She told herself again and again, eyeing the sharpened antlers while they pressed closer and closer to her face. Noel was there to take some of the stress off of her by attacking the sides. It was just enough for Soyeon to retaliate and bring the face of the bat against the side of the animal's head. It stumbled back enough for her to get another few smacks it until after a while of fighting, they had successfully beaten a monstrous reindeer to death! That had to count for something! "We did it!" Soyeon cheered, turning back to Dalton and Noel with a triumphant cheer. "Are you two okay?" [break][break]

They continued along, the three amigos, just walking towards destiny! Soyeon was happy to have Dream Dalton with her, and even when he jumped up at the boom, she was there to quietly comfort him. She placed herself in front of the shy boy while still searching for that sword of hers she would have found by now. It was weird, for a reoccurring dream, this was deviating more and more from the script! She just moved behind Jin while he lead them towards victory! [break][break]

Ever the supportive mother and one to really cheer on anybody who would put in the effort into bettering themselves, Soyeon continued to prove her worth by providing moral support for the smallest gamer between the bunch here. Ygdra focused on the fight at hand since it was the only thing he could do. Without any damage to deal at the birds, he had to make sure that despite their constant movements. Surprisingly, his suggestion did bear some fruit. He hadn’t known that Mr.Beast had exactly what they needed to turn this fight around though he wasn’t exactly sure what he did. [break][break]

Mr. Beast opened a strange book that made Ygdra a little curious about what he would do now. Surprisingly, since he was also trying to buff his allies, this also meant he was somewhat in range of the other birds so a notification popped up![break][break]

Not that it changed much in his role, it just meant that he would be a little faster in moving, but the buffs would stack if and when Mr. Beast, Natrion, and Seika would deal damage and receive them. This would give them a much needed edge in battle. His healing would be a little bit stronger now, but Ygdra had his inner clock adjusted, counting the time when he would be able to use his one and only skill. He kept watch as Mr. Beast and Seika bravely fought the birds, specially keeping an eye on Seika, and saw that she had had recovered quite beautifully and stood tête-à-tête with Mr. Beast in both effort and energy.[break][break]

Ygdra sighed a little and answered Seika’s question. “ I believe one of the birds is down, but you aren’t mistaken about the death part. Luckily, by the looks of their heaving body, Mr. Beast just knocked it out. Hopefully none of the other birds notice…” [break][break]

Watching Dalton and his summon was already turning out to be the most adorable little scenario for Soyeon. Her motherly side couldn't help but silently fawn over the timid boy being held up by his little ruffian! Their meeting was soon cut into by the sign of the reindeer shaped projectile coming down towards them. In a second of split decision, Noel and Dalton were quick to try and fight back against the incoming enemy, while Soyeon had much preferred them to be away from the front lines. But sadly, many kids rarely listened to such reason. So she stood, bat drawn and at the ready. [break][break]

"Let's do it then!" The mother said, hurrying to try and meet the reindeer as it had collided with the ground before them. Once it touched down, Jin was the first one to get its attention towards himself. It still worried her, though Soyeon had a feeling that he could handle himself given his physique. "Be careful, Jin, sweetie! We'll try and help out!" Her hands gripped the hat sternly and came rushing at the pair, aiming to strike thre reindeer's exposed back while Noel would come from the sides. She turned to look at Dalton, ensuring he was alright. "Keep behind me, sweetie. Just in case." [break][break]

Soyeon spun the bat around some, taking a few swings with a teasing laugh. "I'll be the Hero, and this will be my sword!" She made a spectacle, holding her bat to the sky all heroically like the main character would in that one Quest for Dragons videogame. She looked back once to check up on Dalton and Jin. Just something you learned when being a Mom. They captured a few more presents as Jin gave word to cool things off for a second. [break][break]

"Sounds good! Let's take a breather, sweetie!" she said to Dalton and followed the older man after he took care of one of the elves attack him. Over the horizon was a mysterious objecting traveling towards them. They couldn't really discern any details from it thus far, although considering elves were attacking them it probably wasn't doing too good. [break][break]

Another newcomer! Soyeon was already at her second customer in the same day as the first! Goodness, this new business exchanging things was going to be going super well! While tapping away at her own inventory menu, somebody familiar showed themselves to her. It was none other than Jeanne-Marie, the future mogul and cutest member of E2C! Soyeon perked up at her newest customer and her desire to trade in things. [break][break]

"Anything for the cutest customer!" Soyeon opened up another tab while the system was busy handling Argent's request. It didn't seem like it would mess them up any, so why not? She sat to face both her customers and went about watching Jeanne pile up things for her to dissassemble. She was a little surprised by how much this little one had on her. [break][break]

"Er, sweetie? How did you get all of this stuff? You haven't been going to dangerous areas, right?" she asked with a bit of anxiety in her voice, "I'll take it, but just be more careful. This world isn't safe for little empire havers like you." [break][break]

Once all the items and skills that Jeanne wanted loaded up were on the table, she pulled out a...piggy bank? Was this going to be how she paid? Soyeon watched with total confusion at what she was doing, at least until she made her intentions known. [break][break]

The warehouse door rose up, granting Soyeon a look inside at what the storage unit was hiding. Standing in front of her was the small and pink head of the E2C, Jeanne-Marie! She quickly switched into "Mom Mode" and knelt down to fawn over her partner for cleaning this little bundle of goods. [break][break]

"Aw, look at you! So cute!~" Soyeon's eyes failed to hide her excitement at seeing the guild head like this. She reached to go for pinching Jeanne's cheeks but held herself back once the thought came that it may have not been too smart to go around angering the boss of a guild like this. [break][break]

At Jeanne's question, Soyeon gave a confident nod and stood up. She had done her fair share of moving boxes and taking inventory from her flagship store. Her husband might not be around to help, but she could do this! [break][break]

"Ready to get stackin'!" [break][break]

Soyeon took a step inside with Jeanne and took a look around at what would be inside for them to work with. She did have a lot of connections, so for all she knew, Jeanne could have them both cleaning out some Fortune 500's Head's storage closet. Aquamarine eyes traveled back to Jeanne and took some bit of responsibility from her. [break][break]

Soyeon had been settling into the new shop relatively well. It was a little barren compared to her flagship store back home, but this was a cozy little piece of heaven for her! She was celebrating the launch with her fourth bottle of beer for the day, having been busy putting some merchandise that had been found nearby. Even for a world without power like this, Earth-chan had left them with a lot of gaming things to discover. [break][break]

The door opened as a bell above rang out. Soyeon's expression perked up. Her first customer since acquiring her class! She chugged the rest of her drink and threw it into the trash bin across from the counter. It smacked into the others with an audible CLNK! before rolling down the mountain. [break][break]

"Hello!" Soyeon giggled, a little tipsy from her little drink as she waved at the woman approaching the counter. Her voice was warm and inviting, motherly in a way. This woman in front of her was lively, colorful as well. the kind of girl that Soyeon had been before settling down and starting her business. That didn't mean she couldn't dress her RPG heroines after that wild side of her though! [break][break]

"Looking to exchange some stuff, sweetie? *hic*" [break][break]

She was quick to get to business. It was what Soyeon loved to hear, especially somebody interested in seeing what she could do! Technically Soyeon hadn't been the best at testing out her class, so this would be a great time to iron out any kinks. Several items were placed in front of her. A hearty looking bracelet, some bone tooth necklace thingy and a rope? She did get the feeling it was important though. That's what her RPGs told her, anyway![break][break]

"Nice to meet you, Argent. I'm Soyeon." She winked, even making a cute pose. "Hehe, you look pretty cool. I bet you could be a real popstar if you wanted to~" [break][break]

Argent's words were another interesting note in this new world. She hadn't been formally introduced with everything yet, not enough to know what guilds were. It had been a fairly eventful day for Soyeon. Not only had she discovered that it would be possible to visit other locations around the world, but was fast and easy. She found herself in London today and had plans to venture out and see what other shoes had awaited her. [break][break]

The streets of the capital of the United Kingdom were bustling with people as they always had. She was doing her best not to stick out too much as a tourist, or about as well as some could after this whole thing started. It was a nice break away from her shop while she ventured out into the world to get out of her own thoughts. [break][break]

"No wonder everyone wants to live here. This place is gorgeous!" she said to herself while fawning over the views near the bridge. "I wish I would have moved here sooner! We could have set up shop and gotten such wonderful little reviews in this locale. I bet Hana would-" [break][break]

Now in search of something top keep those thoughts away and to quench her thirst, Soyeon took to the many markets of London to see what could be for sale. While a lot of people were picking and choosing, one of which was run by somebody small. Soyeon's eyes locked onto her immediately as she wandered over. [break][break]

"Hi, sweetie~" She greeted the child running the stall with as much of an affectionate voice as a mother could fit in. She was selling something that she really hadn't seen before. Were they like lootboxes or something?[break][break]
