Introductory Missions
More quests on MY Hotspot?!
[break][break] Two zones currently have introductory missions that give you Half Keys for the forge: Devil's Triangle and Motor City. I think this is awesome, and I want to expand it to cover more zones. There are, however, a lot of zones! We are going to be spending time working on these, but will have other duties as well to keep things moving. That's why we're taking suggestions! [break][break] You can at any time suggest a mission in the mission board by following the Mission Guidelines, but for Introductory Missions, I'd like for them to be more focused on the zones as a whole. The missions for Motor City, for example, are all themed around races! On top of this, Intoductory Missions have a few requirements:[break][break] These must be repeatable, non-deadly, and C Rank![break][break] C Rank means that the missions typically need a small party to complete, and that they will be 7 posts minimum, per person, for the thread to be complete. Please keep that in mind with submissions. We will not be handing out any rewards for submissions whatsoever, so please only submit missions here if you think they'll be fun and enhance the site! Any threads from before this year have been archived so if you have a thread that needs to be archived or unarchived, pls make a sys mod request![break][break] Anchors: As an update to the previous combat rules to update, you'll find rules for Anchor matchups there now too; simply put, when an anchor is strong against another, it's attacks are +1 Rank. Additionally with this, you'll notice most summons and pets have Anchors now that work the same way. Class specific summons/pets use their owner's Anchor. Where before you had to pick and choose which abilities you wanted from your main class and subclass up to a total of 5, we're upping that number so that you can have 5 MAIN CLASS abilities and 3 SUB CLASS abilities- that's a total of 3 more than before! If anyone has more than 3 subclass abilities that this doesn't align with, pls make a sys mod request![break][break] On the subject of abilities, this has been around forever, but we finally got around to adding it to the Stats page:[break][break] "Every time you reach B rank in a stat, and for every letter grade past that, you can submit a request in System Moderation to see if any of your abilities are upgraded." Milestones, Challenges, & Achievements
Each post gives you points, and completion missions gives you bonus points? But what if you want MORE?! That's where Challenges and Milestones come into play! There's a variety of extra special challenges and "achievements" you can complete here on HOTSPOT that you can gain points and sometimes even mystery boxes from by completing, as follows:[break][break]

On your sidebar, you'll notice that the number of posts you make is tracked and easily accessible. We want to reward posting, and so for every 50 In-Character posts you make, you'll gain a reward of points and mystery boxes! Make a request when applicable, but note that, due to store purchases, activity checks, and other out-of-character posts, the number shown on your profile is going to be different from the number of IC posts you've made![break][break]
• 50 IC Posts Milestone: 250 Points and 3x Mystery Boxes.[break][break]
• 100 IC Posts Milestone: 350 Points and 3x Mystery Boxes.[break][break]
• 150 IC Posts Milestone: 500 Points and 3x Mystery Boxes.[break][break]
• 200 IC Posts Milestone: At this point, your character probably has a Subclass and is on the road to Level 100! At 200 IC posts and every 50 IC posts thereafter, gain a flat 300 points![break][break]
Player Longevity Bonus[break][break]
Every three months past your character's approval, you are permitted to request a Longevity Bonus! This comes in the form of +300 points added to your account. You must apply via the System Moderation. This can only be requested during that third month of activity. If you miss the check you do not gain the bonus. If your character is archived, the Longevity Bonus is tracked from the date they are unarchived. [break][break]

That's right, we have monthly rewards! These reset at the first of each month. If you complete the challenges three months in a row, you'll gain a special additional prize![break][break]

Fan of the Dead [Forged] Ripples of ghostly visages can be seen on the surface of this fan. When it is quiet enough, you might even hear the howls and screams of agony by the souls trapped within. Possessing this fan provides a 20% buff to your [WIL]. [break][break]
Once per post, you can use the fan as a weapon, lashing out with it and dealing your [PWR] in damage to one target. The edges of the fan might look nimble, but it is the grasping claws of the dead that shoot out from it, scratching at your target in melee range. [break][break]
With a flick of the fan, you are able to summon a strong gale of wind, accompanied by the shrieks and howls of the dead! This gale travels at your [SPD], and reaches up to 10m in front of you, in a 5m width. Those caught in immediately take your [MAGI] -1 in damage. If their [WIL] is lower in rank than the user’s they also take are struck with [Fear], and will not be able to approach the user for one post. This can be used every three posts. [break][break]
Once a thread, you can summon a spectral fog cloud that envelops the area around you with a total diameter of 20m. Those within are unable to see anything if your [WIL] is higher in rank than theirs. Those unable to see through the fog cloud will be assaulted by images of phantoms constantly trying to attack them. You, however, are able to see clearly. This lasts for three posts, and can be ended early by the user. [break][break]
Spectre Whistle Three times in a thread. You can blow this seemingly innocuous whistle. When done it summons a phantom child to take a hit dissipating it. Each child only takes your [MAGI] -1 rank stat in damage. The rest will still head towards you.[break][break]

Dharmic Wheel The goal of perfection lies in true enlightenment. Create a Karmic domain within a [MAGI/10 Meters] area centered on yourself. For [Three Posts] enemies that use abilities that deal damage, or use weapon/natural attacks of any form, inside of the domain gain a stacking debuff called [Karmic Debt] for each ability or attack. It can stack up to Eight Times, has no duration, and can not be cleansed while inside the Karmic domain. When an enemy gains eight stacks of [Karmic Debt] you gain a copy of their [Soul] and they take your [MAGI] -1 Rank in damage as it is forcibly shunted from their body. This ability has an [Eight Post] cooldown.[break][break]
Upgrades at B-Rank [PWR][break][break]
Become Yin, Embrace Yang Balance is the world with your own creation. Choose an ally and an enemy within [20 Meters] of you, then compare their [PWR] stats against each other. If your ally has the lower stat they gain the [Yang State] healing every post for your [MAGI] -4 Ranks and dealing your [PWR] -3 Ranks in Fire Damage for [Three Posts]. If your enemy has the lower stat they gain the [Yin State] debuff taking your [MAGI] -4 Ranks every post and reducing any damage they would deal by your [PWR] -3 Ranks for [Three Posts]. This ability regardless of which half activates has a [Seven Post] cooldown.[break][break]

Snake-Headed Staff [Uncommon]An awful rendition of the Caduceus that seems to have been carved by a novice woodworker. Once per post you may make a ranged magical blast from the end of the staff that deals your MAGI -2 Ranks in [Poison] damage, capping at B-Rank. Once per thread, you may instead have it heal for your MAGI -3 Ranks, capping at a B-Rank heal.[break][break]

Dee Dee, the Forge has taken your pets and upgraded both TreeDee and CaveDee to the max! Waddle Manager reaches 4 Star! The following abilities have been changed/added: [break][break]
Overgrowth: TreeDee is most at home amongst flowers, trees, and other greenery, and is an expert at tending to plants and crops. Three times per thread he can cause any already present vegetation to grow rapidly, raising normal grass high enough to obscure the average person from view, flowers to overgrow their pots, or leaves to emerge from bare winter trees. After the first post, he can keep this ability active by focusing on it and nothing else, causing affected plants increases in size by an additional 30% every post. This ability goes on a 3 post cooldown once concentration ends.[break][break]
Green Thumb: When TreeDee is with you in a thread, the following apply: if you would create a plant-based [ingredient], you recieve 1 extra. You can force [ingredients] you create to be plant-based. If you would obtain a crafting material, you can choose to obtain an [ingredient] instead.[break][break]
Helping Hand: Once per week you can force any [ingredient] that would be created by [GREEN THUMB] to gain the following effect: "This ingredient can be consumed to grant the [stealth] effect for 2 posts. Anything created from this [ingredient] will also grant [stealth]"[break][break]
Tough as Rocks (Passive): CaveDee is considered to have armor equal to its [DEF] rank, which refreshes after a one post cooldown if it is broken.[break][break]
Club Strike A [basic] melee attack that deals CaveDee's [PWR] rank in bludgeoning damage once per post.[break][break]
Ooga Booga CaveDee channels a primal rage and can as many stat points of its [DEF] to [PWR] as it'd like for two posts. This has a five post cooldown.[break][break]
Unga Bunga CaveDee smacks the ground with their club, knocking anyone unprepared within 10m [prone] unless their [SPD] is higher than its [PWR]. This has a three post cooldown. In CaveDee's next post after using this ability, an aftershock causes the effect to activate a second time in the same spot.[break][break]
Deeposit: Once per week, while stabled at Utopia's Guild Base, the Manager can negotiate the sale of one crafting material back to the system for +50% the normal resell value.[break][break]
Whack it!: Once per post, the Manager deals [PWR] -2 rank bludgeoning damage by whacking someone with its hammer. If stationed at the Guild Base, it can instead target a structure to fix it up into working condition.[break][break]
Inspiring Supervisor: While stationed at the Guild Base, Waddle Warehouse Manager increases the SPD & WIL of all other Pets/Summons stationed at the base by +1 Rank[break][break]
