Tucked away in a cozy corner of Unison Central is a quaint little bookshop run by Kathryne Karlberg, otherwise known as Kitty. While it sometimes adjusts positions by a street or two, its current location is always clearly marked on the system menu, making it easy to find. Jeanne-Marie also resides here and often runs a smaller shop inside the shop to earn the both of them more coin.

The shop is suspiciously larger inside than it appears from the outside, and has several areas that seem somewhat out of place for a bookstore. The owner herself is still trying to figure that out. At least the extra space means there's always room for more books!

Jeanne-Marie was born into wealth and it shaped everything about her. In that sense she believes that she money chose to follow her, and she certainly deals with it well. Having had a wealthy parent with thirty years of experience on her, the young girl was given an education in finance and mercantalism that would make most business majors jealous. Highly invested in earning money, she thinks of it as a calling. Trained in deal-making, a savant of trade, and a genuine genius in the business world, Jeanne-Marie is a money monster that only lacks experience that comes with age. Perhaps that is why she didn't just gain a calling to build wealth, but the system of capitalism seemed to emblaze itself to her.

PASSIVE: Supply Chain

You are a class that is heavy in the buying and trading of items. Earth-chan has given you the option to find other members of society and have them added to your Supply Chain. Once you lock in a person, they are locked in until they go officially inactive. They have to agree IC to become one of your Supply Chains. By adding somebody to your supply chain, you will be given the ability to pull certain items based on that chain. These items will of course have your [trader] tag associated with them. When utilizing your supply chain as the source for your mystery box pull, you will still go through the normal shop and just state the chain you are using. [break][break]
When you trade items with the [Trader] tag to another person other than their original owner, you will gain a bonus % of points based on the rarity of that item. When you sell an item from one of your Supply Chains, [or assist in the sale of an item through an ability], you both will gain the bonus % of points.

All is fair in capitalism and war. You have not only a knack for meeting people but also for knowing what people want in life. You are the Middleman. You find the suppliers and customers for their products. Yours is a class built around finance. You naturally start in the world with the following items: [Box of Rations], [Box of Cloth Scraps], and [Box Metal Bits]. It is up to you to find sellers for these items. You will note that all these items in their description hold the tag [Trader] meaning that you cannot use them yourself but can sell them to others or back to the system! When you gain items via the shop or other members, they will gain the [Trader] tag on them. Items gained via leveling up or as mission rewards will not gain this tag.

Members of your supply chain can advertise and sell items at prices they set by sending the item to your inventory for you to try and sell to others. These items will, of course, have your [trader] tag associated with them alongside a name tag if it's from a specific supply chain, and can not have it removed by any means. [When these items are sold, if the item is tagged with a name from one of your supply chains they will gain the points for the purchase, and trigger your passive.

To make these sales happen you can uniquely allow people to go into debt (up to 250 points) with the system while buying from you. Allowing them to purchase items they would otherwise be unable to buy. However, the item is restricted by the [Debt] tag until their account is no longer of a negative balance. The [Debt] tag makes the item untradable, and unsellable and forces it to be brought on every thread until the user’s account goes back to 0 or more points.

For every fifth item you sell [you will gain a [Payout] which contains a bonus amount of points.

You may remove the [Trader] tag to one item in your inventory once every 10 levels you gain, as long as it has no name tag attached.

Additionally, you may submit up to 5 prewritten item effects that you have either seen another item have or that you have created yourself and submit them to the system for balancing. These 5 item effects must then be logged in your inventory but can be attached to a single crafting material each including your [Box of Rations], [Box of Cloth Scraps], and [Box Metal Bits]. These item effects are minor in potency e.g. allowing the item to grant flight at -1 [SPD], or to deal a bolt of lightning at [SPD] for -1 [MAGI], etc. If combined into a crafting material will create a single item based on the crafting material itself in appearance with the item effect utilized as the only effect. (This is not an additional effect and can only be used on crafting materials). This can be combined with abilities that create an item appearance effect to create a whole item as well. Items created this way will be priced at 200 points even and will be considered "Common Items" in rank. (This varies depending on the rank of the crafting mat itself if one is assigned to the crafting material). If this ability is combined with the ability of someone who makes an item appearance but not the effect, these item effects can be added through 5 IC posts from both parties.

Dupe Creation

Pick an item in the thread that is within 20 meters of you that you have seen work. If your [MAGI] is higher than that person's [WIL], you may temporarily create a dupe version of that item. Dupe versions tend to be off-color and may have some minor sizing discrepancies. This requirement will not need to be met for party members. It will keep its normal functions but any ability that item may utilize outside of basic features such as basic attack or defense would drop in effectiveness by 1 rank. This dupe can be sustained for three posts before it fades away going on a four-post cooldown. [break][break]

When you dupe an item, there's a chance your class alerts you to a [hidden feature] in its design. Roll 1d4, and if you roll a 4, you can unlock the [hidden feature] of the original item by spending 100 points to give it the [appraised] tag and enhance one of its current abilities. [break][break]

Market Update

Activating this ability gives you up-to-date information of the market in your current zone, and of your own business. Flip a coin; on heads, the market is shifting in your favor, granting you +1 Luck for this thread; on tails, business is going poorly, granting you -1 Luck instead. You can pay the system 150 points to change a Head to Tails, and vice versa. After receiving the Update, you can choose to immediately spread the news to one other person, giving them the same +/-1 Luck. While others are under the effect of this ability, they receive a 5 point discount on purchases made in-thread. This ability has a four post cooldown. [break][break]

Rapid Requisition

You can study others to figure out what type of merchandise they would be most likely to buy. Once activated, you can apply one stack of [Scrutiny] per post, where each stack of [Scrutiny] inflicts -5% to the target's [WIL]. This ability can last up to four posts and will have a cooldown of the duration minus one. Once a target reaches 4 stacks of [Scrutiny], it changes into [Profiled]. Targets with the [Profiled] debuff are treated as having -1 Rank [WIL] towards you specifically, and this effect does not increase if they gain additional stacks. [break][break]

At the end of the thread, receive a Mystery Box for each stack of [Profiled] on another Player or Staff-Created Monster; the Mystery Box will create a [trader] item themed around them. These items also have the [Mint] tag, which is removed the first time they're traded to grant you a bonus 10 points.

Jeanne-Marie's first goal as early as her tutorial was to build business connections starting with Kitty. From there her connections grew and eventually lead to the creation of the Eiffel Tower Trading Company, something she is incredibly attached to in this new world. Having entered the world and taken its market by relative storm for an eleven year old guild leader, Jeanne looks to solidify her guild and have fun doing it! She isn't a fighter, but that doesn't matter when she can make money for herself and all of her friends and employees! As the motto goes - Second to None, Come Spend Some; and Jeanne is going for broke to make it big.

Passive: You’re Not Looking At The Big Picture

When one of your Guild members would suffer a penalty when they deal damage, compare or utilize a stat, make a roll, or cause a roll to be made, your sphere of influence causes this penalty to be reduced by one stage (-2 to -1, -1 to 0, etc.). Additionally, they may pay 50 points to the system (removed at the end of the thread) to increase the result in any of these situations by one stage (-1 to 0, 0 to +1) or 100 points to act as if they had +1 Luck for one roll they make or a roll they cause to be made. This stacks as many times as the cost is paid. [break][break]

You do not count as a Guild member for this passive. If you are not in the same thread as a Guild member that wishes to utilize this passive, they may pay 100 points to the system to take advantage of it as if you were. This cost is only incurred once per thread, and is separate from any other costs. [break][break]
