One moment Kitty had been in her store, enjoying a nice, quiet cup of tea. And then the next, some sort of floating computer screen was rudely interrupting her, demanding she select one of three options. Also, things sounded dreadfully loud and dangerous outside. After turning her sign from OPEN to CLOSED and locking the door, she pulled down the shades and retreated into the furthest corner. Until, eventually, she gave in and made her class selection.

And then, the next, next moment, she was...still in her shop. Only, something was different. It was quiet again, which was nice. But, there seemed to be several extra bookshelves now. Also, the small counter she'd used to display tea and snacks was now a miniature café. There even seemed to be several entirely new rooms inside that she definitely didn't have the floorspace for!

Oh, and her front door seemed to open into a large, grassy field of some sort. Perhaps in the middle of a farm? Her shop had definitely, absolutely been squeezed in between two large buildings downtown the last time she'd checked. And now the strange floating screen was back again. Something about a Tutorial?

"You have twelve hours to...escape the petting zoo?" Kitty adjusted her glasses, making sure she'd read that correctly. "Is...is that supposed to be challenging?" She wasn't exactly the most athletic type, but that still didn't seem as frightening as the menacing status screen was implying.

Cautiously stepping outside, she confirmed the field really was home to dozens of small, adorable animals. The area was fenced in, the barrier about chest high to her. If there was a gate, it must be off in the distance, past one of the several sheds and barns obscuring her view.

So, all she had to do was walk past the cuddly creatures looking to her for food and pets, and she could escape this place and return to reality? Kitty wasn't sure if this dream was extremely strange, or extremely boring. "Who would have trouble escaping a petting zoo?"

She had been having tea with her father, it had been a really successful day. She had just acquired another store's business with her father's help and she was going to be going home after tea to watch Shark Tank! She was so excited to see the show, after all she looked up to all of the judges in the show a lot, and the pitches were usually really good. She had just finished her cup when everything went dark. Choose a class it said. Was this a weird VR School thing her dad wazs surprising her with? Was this some kind of new business course? If so the names for the classes were really funny.

Capitalist Pig sounded like some american funny term. Piggy banks were one of her favorite things right up there with pillows and money! But it didn't seem like a very grown up class. Then there was Stock Broker, not something that really made sense to her. She also just didn't want to be stuck running math predictions when she could be doing the social part of her job. She really liked that part, which lead her to choosing Middle Man.

Confirming her class she expected a classroom. Instead she was greeted by fresh countryside like the kind up in Greenland. Flaberghasted she could only gape at the notification, You have twelve hours to escape the petting zoo. Wha- Then she was surrounded. Pigs, chickens, goats, puppies, and in the distance she saw a calf. The animals looked just as confused as she felt, looking back and forth as she tried to find the exit or lift the helmet she thought was covering her head. She realized it was very real when a goat nabbed her hair and began to tug on it as it tried to eat her pick braid that her hair had been configured into.

As she rounded the corner of the first structure in her way, Kitty noticed some sort of...disturbance. A group of animals were circled around something. Maybe a wounded animal, from all the noise it was making? She hesitated for a moment before moving closer, shuffling past the various creatures until she had a better view.

The child seemed to be struggling to escape, but her braid was firmly clenched in the creature's teeth. "Um...hello? Hello!" Kitty called out, waving to the girl, before nudging several more cuddly animals out of her way. "Oh dear, are you okay?" Just because this was a dream or hallucination or whatever, that was no reason to be rude or unhelpful.

Finally moving into the circle of creatures, she placed one hand on the goat's head, fumbling to grip at a short, stubby horn. "Let...let go! Um, please?" Getting a bit frustrated, grunting with effort as the goat stubbornly maintained its grip, she didn't even notice the wooden bat appearing in her other hand, raised up into the air.

"Egh, ow ow ow ow ow ow," Jeanne-Marie would yell out as sht goat continued to chew upon the single braid. Grasping the sides of her head and tucking in as she tried to back away from the goat ending up in even more pain as the goat pulled back. A game of tug of war between goat and child began and the girl's tears began to grow more and more heavy as she failed to get free of the goat.

Like music to her ears, Kathryne Karlberg came around the corner. The crying business tycoon's child still struggling to pry free from the goat that seemed to have a death grip on her hair. As the woman pushed through, the girl was barely seeing through a blur of tears as she grasped onto the woman's leg and sobbed, "Pwease help. It hurts, it hurts." Jeanne would call out, barely not screaming as she cried, but her pained discomfort incredibly obvious.

As she continued to sob she would notice a pig pushing up against both of them, then more animals. Sheep, border collies... the animal population seemed to expand as the two were in this situation.

Kitty cringed at the feeling of tears seeping into her skirt as Jeanne rubbed her blubbering face against the helpful adult's leg. "If you don't let go...I'm going to...um!" She finally noticed the object in her hand, blinking in confusion for a few moments. Then she gave the goat a firm thunk on its noise!

Well, she thought it was a firm thunk. It was more of a soft bonk. After a few more, the beast got the idea and let go, sending the child stumbling forward as Kitty struggled to stay upright. "Um, it's okay, you're fine now." Well, except for the fact that they were slowly being pinned in.

Fretting, she peeled child off her leg and...lifted her straight up into the air. Arms shaking, grip wobbling, as even this little weight seemed to be more effort than she could handle. Kitty didn't even realize the bat had disappeared when she needed both hands free to hold Jeanne up above the crowd of animals, awkwardly shuffling away from the mob before placing the recently rescued youngster back on the ground.

"Shoo, shoo!" She started waving away most of the animals, as she waited for the child to calm back down. This was a really weird dream. Hopefully she woke back up in her nice cozy shop sometime soon, she had inventory to do tonight!

She would walk forward looking around... finally starting to compose herself in the same way many children seemed to cool down after crying. Looking around again she would squint out at the distant gate to the 'petting zoo' that she was inside of. Now that they'd passed the building she'd been angling around, Kitty could see the exit Jeanne was pointing out.

"Right, the exit!" Maybe that's when she would finally wake up. "Sure, Jeanne-Marie." She smiled, although it seemed slightly strained considering the current situation. "My name is Kathryne Karlberg. But you can call me Kitty." The smile became a bit more genuine after that.

As they began to walk towards the exit, Kitty continued waving her hands to shoo the curious, attention-starved animals away from them, matching her pace to Jeanne's to make sure the child wasn't assaulted again. After a moment, she realized the bat had appeared in her hand again. At least the beasts seemed to scurry away faster when she gestured with that.

They made it to the gate fairly easy, but that didn't mean they were out of the dog house just yet. Looking over the actual gate, there was no obvious sign of a latch. Perhaps there would be one on the otherside of the door? She didn't see a way for her to really climb over, the fence was pretty tall. So when she saw that there was an hole large enough for her to wriggle through she did. that was fine she just needed to squeeze through the fence. Moving over to the side she squinted at the gate before pushing through the wooden planks and trying to wriggle through. She was getting through too!

A simple answer, as she flopped through and hit her hands and knees she stood and lifted her hands up in success. Moving over to the gate she inspected it from the other side. Except no one was here, no sounds except the animals behind them. As Jeanne-Marie or perhaps Kathryne would open the gate a new notification would appear.[break][break]

Jeanne would nod as she listened to Kitty recounting her dreams. She also had strange dreams sometimes, but usually Jeanne's involved money somehow. She really liked having money, but earning it was even better. As Jeanne took the woman's hand a party invite would be unconsciously sent as they moved down the path into the amusement park of a circus. She was being given a good amount of advice and she would definitely take the advice, certainly.

Jeanne would walk with a little bit of a skip to keep up with the taller woman. A smile now holding tight to her lips as she found herself... kind of comfortable in this situation. The messages had been ominous, but it was like a game, and if it was a game then she would just need to further her classes interests! Turning she would speak, "So... um, speaking of things Kitty? Do you wanna be my business partner? Id like to add you to my supply chain if I am able to. I think that could really help us out here! That's something you have to tell me though."

The pink-haired french child would grin as she conducted another business deal with the woman next to her. Looking over to the massive tent in the center and getting excited to a degree! They still had at least a ten minute walk to get there though. So it made it a rough prospect of a walk considering they could still run into a multitude of things.

"Perfect! Then we work together! And I agree lets go to the big tent Miss!" Jeanne would state with a grin as she began speeding up as she slipped free of the older woman and ran forward a bit happily. Not paying any attention to anything before she took an extremely hard fall as she tripped over something. The child fitting the dirt with a floundering thunk as a tripwire was pulled. Then balloons began flying like cannon balls from either stall out towards the other. Missing both child and woman. As the balloons popped the stalls would begin to sizzle and melt.

"I am okay! Owie...I am okay. I'll watch my steps from now on," Jeanne seemed to say more affirming for herself then anything. The french youth rubbing her nose and elbows which should have been scrapped by that sort of fall. They were not scrapped, but she was really just hurting. Looking back she would smile before quickly turning back to the melting stalls and pointing with a suddenly very blank expression as she processed.

Jeanne had not argued about walking along with Kitty this time around, or tried to run off. Instead sticking right next to the woman as they continued their trek up the path and towards the largest tent until the music was rather hard on Jeanne-Marie's ears. The pure cheer in it though made her happy though, she was going to have fun then go home to Papa and tell him about her adventure! She would get him filled in on everything and then about how cool her class was!

The animals didn't seem to be moving. Maybe they were more scared of her than she was of them? No, absolutely not. It was because of the stubborn screen that kept popping up to bother them. "I...do not like how it keeps affirming that this is all real. This isn't real...right?" She looked down towards the child she was hopefully just imagining. "Right?"

The pink-haired girl was no help there. She just seemed excited by the prospect of this little quiz game. "W-well, the lions, tigers and bears are obvious. Oh my. I suppose the gorilla is dangerous." Kitty began to lead Jeanne-Marie around the edge of the open area in the middle of the tent, well clear of the animals. Examining the crowd from a different angle.

"There's giraffes and zebras, um, but are they really deadly?" She wasn't sure about that. "Hippos do cause the most deaths of any African wildlife. And there's a hippo." She pointed out the beast amongst the others. That was seven, but nothing seemed to be happening.
