Cyrus nodded as they started looking at the shelf, it was time to be hidden. Well, it was a good thing that the status effect was already over the head of both of them. He smiled as he pointed toward the status effects. There was a small blueish tint to both of them, "That emoji that shows someone silencing another is my melody... As long as whatever we come across has a lower..." Cyrus opened his menu, "WIL stat that my PWR stat we will stay hidden. I think we are good to go."

Cyrus motioned that he was going to follow behind Alexei, having his guitar ready to go in case he needed to let out a Jam Out or some other type of melody. He wasn't sure it was time for him to be able to use the other. He looked around the outside of the area, seeing some human footprints with some animal prints behind them rushing in this direction. Seems like Alexei was a much better scout than Cyrus. Now let's hope that Cyrus had a good enough power stat.

With a bead of sweat dropping from his forehead, Cyrus let out a sigh of relief. There were a lot of people around, and embarrassingly enough, they all seemed much more equipped to handle a group of slime than he was.

"Okay, first of all, thank you." Cyrus said to Hana, as he slowly stopped playing and snuck his way out of the corner he was stuck in. "Secondly, I was a little distracted with tuning my instrument. Unfortunately as a support, my best feature is doing what I was doing. This time around I just wasn't paying enough attention and found the wrong type of crowd." Cyrus sure knew how to come up with excuses, no matter how stupid they were.

"Alexei! How's it going, friend? Come over here!" Cyrus felt embarrassed, the person who he had done the tutorial with was seeing him get stuck by weak little slimes. Really showed how much his class relied on being a part of a party, didn't it? "Honestly, I didn't expect them to group up like this either. However, music does wonderful things I guess." Cyrus said, making himself chuckle. If that was one thing he knew how to do, it was boost his own ego.

Cyrus turned back to Hana, who was continuing his melodic tune, "Another music-based class?? Are you a bard too?" Cyrus hadn't met too many people yet. Each of the people he had met were very different in their classes. He still was unsure what Dr. Lynne's was, but Enigma and DeeDee he felt he understood a bit better. DeeDee's summons was also something that Cyrus loved, he really wished he could have taught Kramer how to play the guitar.

“Yea, I really hate sending you guys in there but we need the materials those Mini-Lesser Devils drop. Good for you, they don’t tend to stay in an area where stronger monsters are but they are a pain in the ass to hunt. If you could kill at least ten of those suckers, that should hold us over till the next month or so. Oh, just one other piece of advice. Don’t use anything combustible around them. They seem to thrive on fire. When exposed, they get bigger and meaner. If you get in trouble, just know there probably will not be anybody coming to look for you.”
In the outer regions of Neo-Tokyo, a small nest of Mini-Lesser Devils has made their home. These creatures are not too strong but their numbers make dealing with them a pain. Best to try to tackle one or two at a time. Don’t make too much of a fuss, you might stir the attention of something else out there.

Neo-Tokyo, a place that before the game started Cyrus hoped to visit but worried he wouldn't ever be able to afford it. His excitement for being in the city soon turned into a bit of exploration as a mission came across his screen. He would need to leave the hustle and bustle of the city and go to the outskirts of the city in order to accept the mission. The idea of fighting Mini-devils scared him a bit, but maybe his hidden ability would help out quite a bit. He wondered who else would accept the mission, seeing that it could be accepted by a lot more people seeing as it is a bit of a stronger mission.

Cyrus pulled his jacket on, which had a bejeweled hood, with a large musical note on the back. He probably would seem like a tourist to anyone who didn't recognize that he was in search of a good mission. Cyrus felt confused at the contrast between the two areas, the big city and the countryside next to it. The large buildings seemed to just end and open into a bigger area. As he walked through the countryside, he felt like he was missing something before coming upon the nest. He opened the mission screen again, accepted it, and smirked. The chaos that he would expect from someone using fire while fighting devils would seem like the way people try to describe fighting fire with fire. A big explosion would be a fun way to start this mission.

A smile came across Cyrus' face as DeeDee gave him food. He was extremely thankful for her generosity and was unsure how he could offer repayment for how much she had helped him. Each bite made him feel more prepared for his show. The French fries' crispiness made him feel like he was eating at a good restaurant. He was surprised at how well they had done without seeing a frier.

"Thank you. I'm gonna give you a shoutout as the best food of the festival!" Cyrus said with a very cheeky thumbs up as he turned to look at the crowd that had come around. His time had come up quickly as he had been eating, so he went and got ready. When he next opened the curtains, he was in a very flashy tuxedo that had "The Dazzler" embroidered on the back of it.

"Thanks for coming out. I hope you enjoy the show. I recommend to go..." Cyrus turned and pointed to DeeDee's stand, "Get some food from my friend over here. I highly recommend the Tomatonator. Extremely good. If you have any requests, write them down and I may play them at my next show!" He finished by pointing over to the other sign.

In his first few songs, he got a little bit of crowd interaction but slowed down as he tried to invite DeeDee or BombDee on stage with him if their line had settled down a little.

Cyrus nodded as Alexei spoke. It for sure looked big like a polar bear, even though he hoped with every fiber of his being it wasn't. He looked and compared the two body types of the party, recognizing that he was much smaller than Alexei. Or at least in his mind he was, as a support he figured his muscles would be smaller than most. That polar bear would probably get one good swipe in and Cyrus would be flying across the room like a rag doll.

"Yep! I can sprint, though I may not be as fast as you since I'm not really used to the snow..." He honestly would show very quickly that he was not ready to run. His legs were wobbly and he almost slipped a few times. But he kept a decent pace and didn't fall too far behind the winter soldier running in front of him.

The ice that appeared in front of them quickly showed a potential hide away. As he was running he placed his hands on his forehead to try and shield some of the light coming to his eyes to see a little better. Trying to find a place where they could be hiding, he only hoped that they wouldn't be too late. And He only hoped that it was only a polar bear that had them trapped.

Cyrus read through the message quickly, "That's fine. Also, remember that this is entirely up to you! I have no desire to make you do something you don't want to do. Just glad to get to have someone on stage with me." He was slightly worried that he was going to have them feel overworked when all they did was offer to help him. That was the last thing he wanted to do, however.

As time went on, the event started. Most people seemed to go get food before anything really started. At least, Cyrus always thought that food was the best thing to get first that way he wasn't hungry throughout a festival due to his lack of planning. A few people came and talked about his stand, so he would stand and wave. Another member of staff came over and gave him a sheet that gave him time slots to play, when he selected one it magically appeared on a screen in front of his stand for anyone to come watch. Seemed like he would get to put on 2 different shows each about 20 minutes long. A smile came across his face, two crowds.

He looked over to see a line already forming to get tomatoes and food from DeeDee and her summons and as his mouth dropped he realized that she had chosen a niche and made it popular. He chuckled a bit as he waited for his time to start. He started plucking away on his guitar with a calming melody on it that would soothe and potentially attract nearby listeners. Had to start early to pull a good crowd.

Oh no, they both had low vitality stats? Cyrus felt that being hidden may be for the best, or at least until they were to a point that they needed to be loud. With a quick humming tune, he jokingly started to hum the pink panther theme song, not knowing if Alexei would catch his joke. The Song of Silence ability started, with a hidden status effect going on to the top of their heads.

The snow surrounding them only hid the tracks for a moment as they got closer to the area. The hills looked like they were hidden in the snowing landscape, but with Alexei’s help Cyrus was able to notice them. He nodded slightly as he watched the tracks.

Skills drop? The game seemed to keep getting more interesting, though Cyrus was unable to get another skill at his current cap. He assumed his level growing would fix that, especially with how his class told him to level up specific skill levels in order to unlock more information. What Cyrus had the biggest question on was how to figure out a subclass was it the same way they got their class and just as it unlocked it would show the subclass to choose from? Either way, it would be interesting.

He wished that his music was able to do more than just be a buff, but at the same time supports sometimes offered the best plans in the games he would play. Cyrus shrugged his shoulders, he motioned that he was going to be behind Alexei as the trail was going to run cold if they didn't start to follow it. He couldn't see a snowflake on Alexei's head, so it must have been that ability that he was mentioning. Cyrus looked over his abilities again, trying to figure out if there was something he could do to help them. "Well, I could hide us apparently. Not sure how much that will help us in a search and rescue though. Glad you have something to help lower damage, cause..." Cyrus read over his stats. "This Vitality stat isn't the best." He chuckled, worried about how much damage that meant he could take. In other video games, supports always seemed like a glass cannon.

"Name's Cyrus by the way. If we got the same tutorial mission, must mean that we both are gonna be useful for it. Right?" He said hopeful that his thoughts would come to fruition. He was slightly worried that the cold would hold him back, if he was a bard that would mean he would need to be heard, or at least that was his assumption. However, he couldn't see that in any of the descriptions. The only thing he was able to recognize was there was a cooldown for when he could switch what ability was active. Managing cooldowns, this really was like a video game.

Poison class is a type of Damage over time potential. Such an interesting concept, not one that Cyrus really thought much on. His music style makes him hidden in the background, but the thought of putting something on his opponents to slow them was interesting. He wondered if he could help his abilities to focus on something specific, like if he started to have a lullaby would he be able to put opponents to sleep within a certain distance? This class system was going to keep offering more and more interesting thoughts.

Choose a class. He got a quick description of each, finally deciding on the cheerful bard class. It was a support class that would be able to help people, which sounded like a good option.

The party invite came through and with a click of his finger they were in a party, showing their level 1 status, this was a game. They were able to level up, it felt like a teenager's dream. A point system to level up and purchase things, this was going to be interesting.

Cyrus took a look at the tomato after reading the message, it was interesting. A tomato could do so much even though it was such a basic vegetable. He loved Tomato soup and grilled cheese. It could become a garnish, or eaten raw. It could be sliced on a hamburger, or mixed with some other ingredients and made into ketchup. Heck, even used in pizza toppings. The versatility of tomato was impressive and made for a weird reflection of himself as a bard. Was he limiting himself with the way he played his music? Did he need to take time with figuring out how to best move forward with a specialty? Or was his best move the fact that like a tomato he was able to be a jack of all trades? This weird train of thought continued as he took a bit of the raw tomato, some of the juices squirting onto his cheek as he let out a laugh.

"Well that's a way to get you out of a thought." He said, using his palm to wipe the juices from his cheek as he watched Kramer and BombDee enjoy their meals as well. "It must be nice DeeDee. Always having friends that you can rely on. I'm glad you have that." He said with a grin. Having someone to always trust with your back was something that Cyrus wished for, though he was unsure it was going to come with his choice of lifestyle. Or at least, his former choice. This new game made for such a drastic change that he could be anywhere else in a flash. Still had to grasp his mind around at such a low level.

Not sure why, Cyrus felt slightly uncomfortable with his last name being used. "Well Dr. Lynne, if you would just call me Cyrus, no need to be so formal with me." He responded, not sure if she had heard his question about needing to be hidden. He thought that it may be a good idea to hide, but at the end of the day, Dr. Lynne seemed to have a better idea of this dungeon than he had. Getting to work with her was going to help him get that extra experience to start to level up, maybe even get to catch up to Enigma. Though, he was unsure if he could with the head start that he had on Cyrus.
