HOTSPOT! is a site that heavily revolves around powers, abilities and other awesome rewards your characters will find. There is only some influence you can have over the power you are given, as staff will be creating most of the abilities, items and classes for you. Upon character creation, you are allowed to pick one word for the general theme, as well as other options to influence the mechanics/ purpose of the power (but we'll get to that later). Staff will then create a custom class/ power unique to your character. Let's start off with a walkthrough on what you can choose from and how to get your character class made.[break][break]
Powers are staff made. If you don't like what you've got, you can exchange it for a new one but it is advised not to. If you still choose to do this, staff will redact your current class so it can't be used, and your new class will be a 'low-priority' on the list of staff jobs to do. The new class itself will also have no passive, which is very difficult to obtain later on. You must use the new power, and cannot go back to the old one.

Partying Up! Is a term used to describe when players create a system approved group of up to 6 Players. This can be accessed through sending an invite to another player physically with you. Invites are sent through the system menu. Some missions require parties, and the system can reward synergy bonuses based on your party. [attr="class","maintext"] So you’ve navigated the site, and you want to join? Great! This guide will be for those not used to navigating forums and how to apply. There's also rules on how many characters you can have at a time.[break] [break] First of all, you need to make an account, you can do this by clicking ‘register’ in the top left corner of the page. Make sure your username isn’t too complicated, this is how other members will tag you. I suggest using your character's first name/ alias as it’s an easy way for people to remember you. Staff should be the only ones who make their username their OOC name. Once the tag is made, you can change the name that appears visible later to your character name. Don't worry, you can hover over Character Names to see what tag to use in your posts. [break] [break] Once your character is made, you can edit the profile by clicking PROFILE > Edit Profile. For your avatar, make sure its 100x100 and upload the image, do not link it.[break] [break] Then, go to the Personal tab. Change the Display Name to what your character’s name/ alias is. Link a 250x350 image into the appropriate section, this will be the hover image that shows up every time you post. You can fill in the rest of the boxes while you can. The class can be filled once staff have made it.[break] [break] Awesome! That’s the main profile done, now you need to check out the ‘Character Application’ and ‘Character Inventory’. Once these are filled out and sent to staff at Staff Moderation, you just need to wait on your custom class and you’re free to roleplay! In order to make a second character, your first must be at least Level 5. There is no minimum posting requirement for two characters, although inactive profiles will be archived if you miss an Activity Check. [break][break]
If you want to make any more characters, you must be able to prove that you have been actively posting on the current characters you possess. There is not exact limit as it may vary, but staff will be fair when judging the situation. You may find it more beneficial to check out the 'Character Revitalization' rules below. [break][break]

Inspired by Solo Leveling, Dislyte, Lone Necromancer, Your Name, BOFURI
H0TSP0T! is a modern day sci-fi fantasy RP page. Taking inspiration from franchises such as Solo Leveling, Lone Necromancer and Dislyte. There are reality warping events, eldritch horrors, the beloved ‘system’ screens and much more. HOTSPOT has a ranking system to calculate power progression, but without the use of calculating actual stats and numbers. This means that power use will be freeform, following a loose guideline of what is possible which is detailed in a basic ranking guide or within the power itself. [break][break] Exploring the world as we know it will uncover truths that reveal Earth is far more than just 'a game'. But this is something we will take part in as a community. [break][break] H0TSP0T! takes place on our very own Earth, it is mundane, dying and the future is dull. We are growing stagnant as a species, and dreams of the fantastical will only ever be that - dreams. [break][break] Until The Light came. Scientists named it The Light That Crosses Worlds, an extra-terrestrial phenomenon that made no logical sense. A collection of giant meteors travelling through the cosmos at unnatural speeds, defying the laws of physics. Its destination? Earth. [break][break] It hit us. At least, that’s what people remember... But here people stand, alive and well, going about their lives as usual. There was no proof that The Light ever hit - no crater, no footage, just the memory of cataclysm in everyone’s minds. But after that ‘event’, the world seemed to flourish again. [break][break] A continuous ascension, advancing the body, mind and soul of all living organisms on Earth. It wasn’t noticed at first, initially thought to just be the sole doing of humans and science. But when scientists starting pushing the boundaries of what was real, the world started to awaken further. And it wasn’t our doing this time.[break][break] Monoliths began to rise from the depths of Earth, bringing with it an unknown power. Shortly after this, everyone would find themselves greeted with a screen before them, with a message from our very own ‘Earth’. Humans are thrust into a Tutorial Phase where they must fight against dangerous creatures and unknown threats in order to strengthen themselves and stay alive. The beginning will be apocalyptic, everywhere experiencing the struggle of monster hordes and boss fights in order to pass the testing phase.
