"What the hell?" Noelle would say with a squint as she finishing getting ready for the day, having slept inside one of the broken buildings for some amount of shelter. Having sustained herself on the tomatoes from the day before. Was this how people did that 'XP grinding' thing that she had been looking into. She really should have played games with her brother Jakob more often. She understood basically none of this still, except the store since that was actually self-explanatory. Staring more at the message she really had mixed feeling about it, but she couldn't fully say no... clicking the button she would see a different message appear.

The hell did 'Party Queue 1/4' mean exactly? She suddently saw darkness before a new environment overtook her. One she recognized from a few school trips: New York. Though it did look different, it was like a mural of the city rather then a physical location though as three blue squares sat in a line past her own. When the others would join, they would appear in a dingy office that looked in ruin. A concrete wall blocking them in, Noelle would stare. Seriously what the fuck was this system shit. it had been a good few days, She helped as much people as she could, she had met someone yesterday and given them Tomatoes, everything was going well with the world... and then a message for a mission popped up in front of her. Dee Dee blinked a few times as she read it over, it seemed to be rather important.. seems some Monsters gathered and made a den of sorts. That wasn't good they would need to handle that soon or people would be in danger. Though this was something important for her to note down, she wasn't aware that leaving smaller dens could turn into larger dens which then could turn into dungeons, she quickly noted this in her note book and then looked to the quest again and nodded a bit pressing the accept button.
then she was whisked away, which was somewhat new, before she would have to leg it there herself... at least it happened that way with the escort mission and the one mission to find Medicinal herbs.. Maybe it just depended on the mission? but then remembering the Location for the mission she realized it was likely something in the system due to distance to the location. with that figured out... at least figured out enough for her she nodded and the world came back into focus.
Looking around and realized she was in a party and she looked around the dingy office she had appeared in and spotted someone she knew! she got up from her place at a desk and walked over to her and placed a Tomato on the desk in front of Noelle and gave a little wave to the girl glad to see she had decided to help in this mission. she then took out her notepad and wrote down "Hello again, I hope the tomatoes helped keep you fed!".

Evey missed the nights she could watch anime and read manga until the sun came up. She read as much as she could during the daylight between going out and doing things. The world change seemed to have made her get out more often; not having anime to watch while she read manga made her bored, strangely enough. She needed a little more stimulation to listen to or her ears started ringing. She guessed she would have to get used to it. The only technology that seemed to really work was the screens for Earth-chan. Why did Earth-chan need to take away her precious anime??[break]
An incessant bleeping finally stirred Evey from her slumber. How long had the screen been bleeping at her for. Ugh, whatever it was she swiped her hand at it without actually reaching out for it, like it might be a clock she could smack to turn off. The bleeping continued until Evey finally uncovered herself from the warm blankets, hair going every which-way and bleary-eyed, to skim through the message. A mission. She didn't feel like going on a mission; especially not one to hunt giant spider?! She clicked the [DON'T ACCEPT] button. As she did, the screen fuzzed up and a new message appeared between the static on the menu. [Thanks for accepting the mission!] Evey had just enough time to blink a few times before actually registering what the message had said. Was the system bugged out?! She was sure she had pressed the button to not join the mission![break]
Not a moment before she was transported, she grabbed her cardigan, safely placed beside the bed she slept in. She appeared, wide-eyed, in an old ruined office. She looked around as she slipped on her cardigan, feeling unprepared for whatever this mission had in store for her. As she looked around, she noticed two others there. She frowned. 'I clicked 'no' though!' Guess Earth-chan was in it for the jokes. All jokes aside, she waved at the other two. "A-Are you waiting for the mission to start?"[break]

"Phew, that rain's such a pain!" Water droplets flicked away from Rory's pink umbrella as he closed and shook it off. Wandering New York in search of treasure was fun, but he REALLY didn't appreciate how much rain it had! Thankfully his parasol could work in a pinch to save him from the downpour. It didn't give TOO much protection, but it had been enough for the man to stumble his way into some old office building. [break][break]
After shaking his umbrella off, Rory glanced up to see three others; his face instantly went blush in embarrassment. "Uhhh… pardon the intrusion?"[break][break]
It only took a moment longer for a pop-up to appear from the system, much to Rory's despair. "WAIT, party complete… OH NO, DID I STUMBLE INTO A QUESTLINE?!" Instantly the man turned to leave back through the door he came in from, only to find it gone. "NOOO!!! I'M NOT READY, I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR LOOT- wait quests give loot"[break][break]
Just as quickly as the man had tried to leave, he turned around once more, facing the group with a devilish grin on his face. His lucky coin found its way onto his thumb where he flicked it into the air.[break][break]

[attr="class","skullbody"]Noelle would have counted her lucky stars if she thought that she had any in this moment. Looking around she was met with three faces. Two that had appeared, like herself, and another who had just walked in through a wall. Gauging the reactions she really wasn't sure what the hell was meant to be happening. A question along those lines can from... Rory. The party window in the corner of her vision told her that that was the name of the only man in their group... at least judging appearances... she was pretty sure that was right. Her calm gaze looking over the group before she scratched her messy bed of hair. Noelle genuinely hated the damn system.

"Yeah I thought that was obvious... though I'm with the guy who can walk through walls here, this is not something I was given any info on," The short girl would state while rummaging through her screens for anything before manifesting her own umbrella. An obviously superior one, since it was her family's umbrella. The parasol looked like a definitely cheap plastic children's umbrella at a glance and it almost made her want to cringe at the site of it. Perhaps only one of them had been given the mission prompt...

Seeing the new people arrive Dee Dee made herself busy as they talked, walking over to the new girl and placing a Tomato and a hairbrush next to her since she wasn't sure if the girl ate anything and she seemed to be struggling with her hair. and then quickly heading over to the new guy and giving him a tomato as well just to make sure he had eaten too, before returning to her place and taking out her notepad, and writing quickly on it, the man had asked about the mission so she thought it would be a good Idea to explain it, though Noelle Brought up a question as well and Dee Dee thought she should at least answer it as well and so she continued to write quickly but neatly as she wanted to make sure her explanation was clear and as helpful as possible other wise what would be the point?
After a bit of writing Dee Dee looked over what she wrote, then at everyone assembled, then back to what she wrote before nodding to herself and turning it around for all to read "Hello new faces and previously met Faces, I am Dee Dee, as for the mission we are doing we are here to clear out a Den of monsters that has formed due to people not clearing the area before when it was required, as smaller dens grow into larger more dangerous dens and then from there can turn into dungeons, as no one had dealt with this den it grew in size to the danger it is now and we need to clear it a bit to make it more safe in the area! That's what the mission is. As for the question about telling each other our classes and roles and such from what I have experienced it is rather normal so you know who can do what in the mission, and who may need help and what everyone is capable of. I can go first, I am a summoner, I can throw Balls of Aura at enemies though the range isn't very far, and I have Two summons so far, I can also communicate through my Summons if need be. I have a Baby Dragon name Kramer and a Waddle-dee named Bombdee they should be quite helpful, They are fairly strong so can help out as frontline, though Kramer is capable of flight and breathing fire!"
With that considering this would be a dangerous mission Dee Dee then pointed her finger upwards and a star popped out of her finger quickly splitting into two stars that slowly descended to her sides and poofed into Kramer and Bombdee who both gave little Salutes and a wave to Dee Dee then to the others.

They had briefly gone over what they could do, but Emir seemed to prefer to show her in the heat of battle rather than tell her everything he could do. Evey smiled and looked between the group. She preferred personal greetings than reading names off the system. "I'm Evey, by the way." She looked to each of them.
As Dee Dee got up, Evey read the note. She clapped her hands quietly, but excitedly. "I haven't met a summoner yet! That's so exciting," she said as she smiled widely at Dee Dee. "I can go next - I'm a support type! I can turn my allies into animals or objects as large as 3 meters," her eyes went up as she thought of her abilities off the top of her head while also counting them on her fingers. "I have an orb of fire that will float around an ally as 3 smaller orbs and can heal them, or explode on an enemy if it hits them. And I have a new ability that gives me a lot of extra [SPD] and it can summon a wheel that'll aggro certain enemies!" She put her hands on her knees, smiling brightly. She was glad that everyone so far seemed to want to share their abilities - it might make it easier to deal with the monsters if they knew what everyone could do. "Oh! And I have a tanuki suit to go with my abilities!"
She leaned forward when Dee Dee summoned her creatures, her mouth opening in awe. "They're so cute! I wish I had a pet or summon to take care of!" Rory stood listening with his finger to his chin as everyone began sharing. His eyes ran over the paper that DeeDee, the quiet one wrote after he accepted the tomato from her. ”T-tomato? Uh, thanks.” He wasn’t too sure what was up with that, but hey, free snack. He tucked it away into his pocket as he thought about this quest info.[break][break]
Once the others began sharing info and eyes turned to him, Rory spoke. ”Hey, I’m Rory. I’m, uh, also a support. And also can boost speed… and also… can summon a wheel… sorry have we met?” Rory glanced at the tanuki woman with a look of “huh how about that” written on his face. Meeting other supports was a little rare, so maybe it wasn’t a surprise they could do such similar things. ”Man, I know Nyke sure would get a kick outta this.” He spoke to himself before continuing to the others.[break][break]
”From this uh, essay that DeeDee here wrote for us, it looks like we’ll be fighting some themed monsters here. I’ve seen a lot of different kind of monsters around here, so I don’t really know what it’ll be.” Rory hadn’t been in New York for long, but already he had found a much greater variety of monsters than he had seen in other “Zones” around the US. His eyes flashed with a light as his passive activated, showing him the buffs affecting each of them. Evey was the same level he was, but the other two didn’t seem to have much experience yet. He smiled a bit, ”It's probably for the best we’re supports actually, it’ll certainly make this easier. If you haven’t noticed, we all got a buff for being in a party, on top of the LUCK boost everyone got from my Coin.”[break][break]
Rory rubbed the back of his head thinking about that; they really lucked out with the coin, it could’ve also given them bad luck and made things so much harder. ”To be a bit more precise, my class has a lot of random elements built into it, but I’ll be sure to save those for the enemies from here on. Taking his pretty pink umbrella, the man pointed it to a side wall. Where previously they were trapped, a door was now available. ”Once everyone’s ready, I can lead. Any questions, just ask, otherwise.” Rory smiled wide again, pumping his fist and umbrella in the air. ”Let’s kick some monster ass and get that sweet sweet loot!”[break][break]

[attr="class","skullbody"]Noelle was going to lose her mind amongst the sheer sudden random that was this group. The trio she had found herself with were an absolutely uncohessive mesh, at least by her own view of the group. Rory was very obviously just chasing profit, fair enough. Evey seemed to just not want to have anything to do with the mission, even though they were dealing with it. Lastly, there was Dee Dee... who just didn't talk. She had nothing else to say about the girl other then she didn't talk. Trying to read while watching for enemies was gonna end up a pain probably...

Dee Dee put the notebook away now that she had everyone's names she could use the system to send messages, so she did just that and she had learned of the friend system not to long ago as well so she also sent a friend request to everyone "Good news is I can send you messages now through the system now that I know your names and we have met, I sent you all friend requests so we can send each other messages even if we are not in normal message range in case we get split up somehow. as for the monsters we will be fighting I think the mission mentioned they would be giant spiders so keep your eyes up, I had to kill a queen spider when I first arrived in this new place, so remember they can hide in small places and even above us! As for questions I don't have any, I just hope everyone is ready for some fighting to break out" with that she nodded to herself as she looked at the group then remembered her other skill. BombDee saluted to the group as a voice came out of him, Dee Dee purposefully making it a voice that would believably come from the Waddle-dee voice acting being another skill she had taught herself before the flash just in case, though she never really would have ever gotten the chance to use it due to her communication disorder, but.. with it not being her drawing attention she felt a bit more comfortable talking through the Waddle-dee and just like her other skills it seemed it would come in useful. "If we are in a fight I will say what Dee Dee wants to type since I can speak for her" the Waddle-Dee nodded, Dee Dee already having worked with Waddle-dee so it would seem like it was him talking rather then herself, all this just to stop from having to speak directly with people... Well at least she had this right? Though even then it felt.. pressuring to say that small sentence. and she had to hold herself together to not start shaking or stuttering. She guessed this was it - she was stuck in the mission and would have to see it through now. She fell in line, bringing up the rear. She smiled and returned Dee Dee's thumbs up with her own, less enthusiastic thumb. She could take a hit if anything came at them from behind, and escape closer to the middle or front of the group with her wheel if need be. ”You know him too?!” Rory was caught off-guard again by the fact that Evey ALSO knew Nyke, but then again… small world. If this new world had taught Rory ANYTHING it was just how small and interconnected things really were. He had met Nyke back in the “Tutorial” when things first went to shit, and over time just kept running into him to build up that friendship they now had. It looked like Nyke had been running into a lot of other people too! [break][break]
The last of their group was an Echo Fabricator named Noelle, a woman with the ability to debuff. ”Sounds like a party! I think we’ll make it through just fine if we cover each other’s backs,” Rory realized that the power the group could output was potentially a little lacking, butttt he wasn’t too worried about it. After all, they all had extra luck! Besides, with the amount of support they had, it was basically just a [Stall] party–nice and cheesy! [break][break]
As the pop-up appeared from DeeDee, Rory accepted and sent a request out to the others as well. Ahh.. if they were grouped here, might as well at least. It didn’t hurt to know people, and making connections was a great way to get a guild up and running. Nyke was great at knowing all the gamer terms that made this world what it was, and they made a pretty good group together. Talks of making a guild together had gotten Rory pretty excited, for the friendship, sure, but also… ”Heheheh, I can’t wait for all the goodies!” [break][break]
DeeDee shared a bit about her experience as she brought out some wicked looking Summons. ”Ick, a spider? We had-” Rory’s eyes flashed with black pits and dread as he thought back to the horrible boss monster that was the Ogre. And the bird thing. And the tree monster. ”Uhh, we had a lot too.” [break][break]
With everyone having assumed their own little formation and seemingly ready to move on, Rory pressed on through the door. On the other side he was surprised to find an outdoors area. It was completely encased by more buildings on all sides. It seemed like this had been a little rest area for whatever had previously been in that office building, but now it was completely overrun with nature. Plants burst through concrete, cracks along all the walls leading up to entirely exposed interiors, even the “roof” of this area was partially blocked out by leaves and old cobwebs. [break][break]
”Well, not what I expected. No monsters yet at least! Maybe we-” Rory had a tendency to speak too soon, and this was no exception. With the group now vulnerable in this area, a small swarm of enemies crawled out from the shadows to attack. black spiders the size of dogs were now headed right for the group. Huh, new york was weird- but that explained the spider webs! [break][break]

NOTICE TO STAFF: Noelle's player has mentioned they are likely to Drop Noelle as such I am posting now with their permission as we will continue the mission as a three man teamIt would seem two of the members knew each other or rather they both knew someone else that linked them in somewhat and Dee Dee was glad to see it, it meant people were not just sticking to themselves, and she also got the friend requests from them and nodded as she looked to them, the Mission would be a tough one no doubt but it wouldn't be anything they couldn't handle she was sure of it Though As Rory was talking about what he had to deal with in his Tutorial he suddenly cut himself off and Dee Dee looked over to him and noticed he clearly wasn't exactly in the best state, but it passed eventually the group was out the door. As they walked out and into the mission area proper Dee Dee looked around, Yup this was a place of danger alright and it was just as gloomy and oppressive as the Tutorial was, though not as much due to the fact that this place wasn't a full fledged dungeon. But it was still a Den that meant there would be a lot of spiders, As they walked though Rory took the opportunity to make a comment, and Dee Dee then heard the skittering sounds that the tutorial made her all to familiar with. She didn't take to long to consider the options and instead looked upwards, the tutorial already paying off as he knew they would likely come from that angle, and sure enough their they were, at least a few, some other came out at them from the front and sides and Dee Dee aimed her Staff up at the ones coming down from the ceiling and she fired a blast at one, her stats getting a boost thanks to her Passive, but also because of her skill from the Tutorial, it figured it would come in very handy here. BombDee and Kramer also took action, BombDee staying near Evey to guard her, While Kramer took to the air and did a Fly buy on one of the Spiders coming down from the ceiling, moving to catch both of them in a Cone of Flames at it flew by turning to circle back around for another pass later. At the moment there was a single Spider that BombDee WAs intercepting that had tried to get at Evey from behind, and he let off a power punch at it, sending it flying back but not killing it as the Waddle-dee moved to stay near Evey. Oh yuck. She was not expecting spiders - her face stayed as still as stone though an eye twitched in the process. Opening her umbrella she would spin it and a phantasmal spider would lash out to destroy one of the five. A ghostly image of itself digging its maw into its own head to destroy it. Not a killing blow sadly, but for Noelle that was the best she could do in one go. Her class cursed the concept of direct combat, but she at least had a group to assist her this time around.
