He spun around to see nothing but a wall of green. It seemed that he was perhaps paranoid. If so, what was the point of that screen? What bloodlust was there around here that he needed to be wary of? Being the nervous nelly he was, Nikolas grouped two of his fingers together and pointed them downward. A golden light began to shine from the tips and a small golden bird formed. He made a movement with his hand and sent the bird off towards the brush to see if it might uncover any hidden threats. He grinned. ”See, nothing to be afraid of. They’re way weaker than those bloodfuckers.” He said to himself to boost his own confidence. He didn’t have too long to soak up the glory. Right behind the first Hill Goblin, a second one came rushing out toward him. He was able to side step it’s initial attack but fumbled summoning his golden orb skill. The goblin turned and crashed right into Nikolas causing the pair to both fall to the ground. Again, the monster seemed to dissolve in a cloud of pixels. ”You have killed 1x Hill Goblin. +5 Points! He let out a sigh of relief and sat up. Two of them fell pretty quickly. He wondered how many more were left to slay before he completed the quest. That was when he noticed the small icon near the bottom of his vision. ⅖ Hill Goblins Slayed”Guess I’ve got to hunt down three more of these things before I can complete this mission? This isn’t too hard. Maybe they dropped me into one of those beginner zones. I know in WoW, you always did a string of missions to get some basic items and a general understanding. Maybe this is the equivalent.

He should have known that there were more lurking there, waiting for him to let his guard down. The golden light formed into a sparrow once more and clashed with the leader of the bunch head-on. ”You have killed 1x Hill Goblin. +5 Points! With his other hand, Nikolas caused a golden circle to appear. From it, thick golden ropes of light began to lash out at those before him. While he could control their movements, he was still getting the hang of it. They were crude and volatile. The ropes crashed into the monsters and sent them backward falling to the ground and dissipating like the others before them. ”You have killed 2x Hill Goblin. +10 Points! While there didn’t seem to be any loot dropping, he did discover a nice bonus of points waiting there. A smirk crossed his face. He felt accomplished. For the first time in a while, Nikolas felt satisfied with his own performance. Perhaps this new world would give him opportunities that the past never did. He needed to find his parents and ensure that they were safe. Based on what his map showed, he was somewhere in North America. He could only assume that they were still in Europe. How he was to get there was a mystery. He looked up to the sky to try and see which way was East and started to make his way there.
