However, it is believed to be guarded by mystical creatures and enchanted obstacles within the ancient urban forest of Motor City. Your mission is to join the annual Ancient Relic Rally, a grand racing event where skilled racers from across the world compete to navigate the perilous course and reach the heart of Mystwood. In this race, speed and skill are paramount, but so is resourcefulness, as racers must solve riddles and overcome magical challenges to proceed. Hikari found herself sat in her Petite Cooper once again, with a start button in hand. This would be the first time she would be taking part in this new area's missions, though she was sure this felt more like racing than truly a mission. After all, where was the killing? The fighting? Must she really do all of that within a car?

Sighing to herself, she made sure to prepare herself for this task. After all, Hikari knew that she was aiming to win. Her car might seem too small, nor did it look like it was made for racing, but it sure did its job. She patted the wheel as she gave her silent prayer to any goddess that was listening. There was the fact that she had not driven for quite a bit to consider, after all.

Just as the race started, Hikari found herself beside a woman whom she knew well. "Miss Akane, what a pleasure to see you." She greeted with a polite smile and small bow, before turning her attention to the race at hand. Without another word, she gt her start button ready and got her car in position. "Shall we race to our heart's content?" She gave the woman another courteous smile, before bursting into a quick start when the green light flashed.

Akane once again found herself in yet another new zone. This time a place called Motor City. The name was pretty spot on seeing as the tower was filled with players and NPCs alike driving about in their vehicles Well everyone but Akane as she didn't have a vehicle. After all as far as the raven-haired assassin was aware you need a license to use them. While she of course had one in the former world it didn't seem like such things carried over to the new world. So as a result Akane didn't see the need to have a vehicle.

After walking for about twenty minutes and having some close calls almost getting hit by a few cars she would arrive at what seemed like a race. Seeing as she didn't have a car herself she hadn't planned on taking part in the race until she spotted Hikari who had a car of their own. As the other women greeted her Akane would return the bow. "I agree it's always a pleasure to meet you Lady Hikari. I wasn't aware you had a car let alone a license already." As the princess got into her car Akane would waste not time getting into the passenger seat. "Yes it should be fun but I'm afraid you'll have to do all the driving as I don't have a vehicle of my own. That being said I'll help you to the best of my ability."

Hikari was shocked at the boldness of the woman. "Ah, I didn't know you were going to be sharing my car, Miss Akane." She smiled at the woman, though still confused. Perhaps this mission can be done as a team. And, to be fair, if they couldn't, then the system would have done something about it already. No, she supposed this was the best case scenario. Hikari mentally shrugged her thoughts away, before starting to drive forward.

Keeping up with the other vehicles was easy, it was the riddles part that worried her. As she continued to speed up, she started to realize just how advantageous having Akane with her can be. With a grin, she started to loom towards her first opponent. "Would you be so kind as to eliminate our competition for us, Miss Akane?" She made her way closer and closer towards the driver's side of one of her opponents. There was no rule against this, right?

"Just...making it difficult for them to win. After all, we don't want to be called murderers during a mission now, right?" She smiled at the woman, before speeding up.

While Akane dealt with that problem, Hikari had her own. As they approached the first turn, she realized that there were three pathways she can take, with words on top of each. Above them all was a riddle which she presumed she needed to answer by entering one of the three paths. This was going to be a headache.

The Raven-haired assassin would smile at Hikari's comment. It made sense to assume they wouldn't be sharing a car after all it was a race and in most races, only one person could win. However, this mission never stated that two people couldn't share the same car so it should be fine. "Well, you see I don't have my own car because I felt like it was unnecessary. As I never expected to take place in a race."

With her reasoning given the two women would take off in Hikari's car as the race began. A wicked smile would come across Akane's face as her partner asked to deal with the other competition. It should be easy enough after all who expects to be attacked during a race with cars. It would be all the easier for her as thanks to her class it is hard for almost anyone to see her so even if they were expecting an attack they wouldn't see it coming. The matter of not killing them with no issue as despite her blood lust Akane knew when to hold back when needed. However, she had no problem with being called a murderer as at the end of the day that's what she once did.

Once Hikari pulled up next to their first victim the raven-haired woman would waste no time in lashing out with her skeletal claws. The slash would cut deep into the other racers' arms the shock and surprise of the attack causing the driver to spin out of control. With one person already taken care of all that was left was for Hikari to pick the right path.

Hikari looked towards the riddle, and read:

A riddle indeed. She looked towards the choices, and found herself laughing inside. This was just a bit too easy. But of course, she was sure this was just the start. There were more riddles as they progressed through the track, and she was sure it would get progressively more difficult.

"Hold on." She would announce as she started to make her decision. But of course, there were others who were now following her. Perhaps these easy riddles were made to weed out the worst of the worst. "This is going to be a bit bumpy." She started towards the wrong tunnel, before quickly swerving away. Those who were too close to her tail would have little recourse but to continue forward as Hikari's car almost tipped over from her sharp turn.

"Teapot. Easy." She smiled to herself, before heading towards another car. "Another target for you, miss Akane. Be careful, I can see that they have some sort of projectile weapon."

Akane couldn't really have much to do but wait until her combat skills were needed once again. As such she took the time to read the riddle as well. In truth, the assassin cared very little for those types of things but even so, this one was simple enough that even she figured it out. Which meant she had faith Hikari knew the right answer as well however a slight look of worry crossed her face as it seemed like the other woman was taking the wrong path. After all, Akane didn't want to die in a car crash because of some dumb riddle. However, it seemed her worry was unnecessary as Hikari made a sharp turn at the last second back onto the right path. However, it seemed some of the cars behind them didn't manage to pull the same thing off.

"So much for not murdering anyone." As the other women stated that they were closing in on another racer Akane would just nod in understanding. She would once again waste no time lashing out at the other racer making no attempt to avoid the beam shot at her. However, her skeletal armor would protect her from damage shattering in the process. However, her strike landed true across the other racers' chest who would jerk away from them as a result of the sudden large amounts of blood pouring from their chest. As they did so it seemed they jerked the wheel a little too hard and rammed into the wall as a result. "We can't engage another race for a moment I need some time for my armor to come back." With that statement, Akane would once again hide her presence so her armor could reform.

Whatever Akane did, it certainly did its job. Hikari nodded towards the woman as she engaged the race track once more, especially as a new challenge loomed towards them.

What Hikari saw was a maze. Well, less of a maze, and more of a mushroom mine field. As she watched some of the racers go through, she realized that the mushrooms acted as barriers, and a slow mist was rolling through. It was a challenge of the senses. Hikari knew that she couldn't just power through this one. No, she had to be more careful.

"Hold on, miss Akane. This can become very bumpy very quick." She announced, before she started to slow down. Instead of speeding through, she realized that it would be better to take things just slightly slow. The risk of crashing was too high. Although...

Hikari realized she can do something after all. With a flick of her fan, she sent Shotsuren forward. She would follow the sword as it probed the way for them. Every time the sword hit something, it would find a different path, and Hikari would then follow it. All around them, she could hear crashes and screams, and the occasional explosion that would make the air feel hot around them. However the mist did not alleviate.

Until finally..."We're finally out of that mist." She sighed in relief as the mist dissipated around them. But now, onto the next challenge. "Keep an eye out for people who might jump us while I figure out this next challenge." The mist was still close by, and Hikari knew that there were those who would take advantage of the situation.

As the mushroom minefield came into view Akane found it strange that the system left out just how dangerous this race was truly going to be. As to the assassin, this was more akin to a death race rather than a normal street race then again nothing in this world was normal anymore.

Akane wasn't concerned as they started to slow down as they approached the field. After all, just speeding through it increases the chance of striking a mine that one wouldn't be able to spot in time. Not to mention the mist that was now rolling in just added to the danger of striking a mine or mushroom. However, it seemed that Hikari planned to use one of her swords to counter the mist which was something that Akane wasn't aware she could do but it certainly was useful. The Raven-haired assassin would laugh at the other woman's comment. "Well, it hasn't exactly been a smooth ride, to begin with so I'd say I'm used to it being bumpy at this point."

It didn't take long for them to break the mist but from the screams and sounds of explosions, it seemed that quite a few other racers didn't have as great of a time getting past it. At Hikari's statement, Akane would look behind them noticing a car and motorcycle not far behind them. The car however seemed to be slowing down as it took too much damage and some vital part of it broke down. That only left the motorcycle to deal with. By now the assassin's bone armor had also fully reformed once again keeping her safe from at least one attack. "We have a motorcycle closing in on us fast but I should be able to deal with them once they get close enough."

At the mention of a motorcycle, Hikari gritted her teeth. Her car was fast, yes, especially as it seems to be borrowing from her own stats. But the challenge was outmaneuvering a motorcycle. After all, the slim and sleek design of motorcycles made them the natural speedsters.

"Take care of them when they come close. I'll get us to the finish line." Hikari drove towards the finish line, though the straight road must not be as safe as it look. As she took the first slight turn, she was proven correct.

A large arm slammed down from out of nowhere. Looking up, Hikari realized that it was a huge ape that was terrorizing the track. Hikari cursed underneath her breath, and started evasive maneuvers. She slide through and underneath a large overhanging branch, obscuring her from the giant's view. She took to the side, and tried to be as inconspicuous as possible.

Hikari could feel the motorcycle coming in close, and she could only hope that Akane would deal with them. They were neck in neck...

The Raven-haired assassin would keep her eyes on the mist as they kept going to make sure no other racers were a threat other than the motorcycle. While a few others made it through the mist none of their vehicles looked in a good enough condition to catch up to Hikari and her other than the motorcycle.

Her attention would be drawn back to the front for a moment as a huge ape seemed to be attacking the track. However, it seemed that it hadn't noticed the racers just yet thankfully. As the racer on the motorcycle moved towards her side planning to pass them unaware Akane was still present a smile would cross her face. She of course knew she'd only have one attempt to take them out with how close they were to the finish line but she had taken all the others out with no issue so this one shouldn't be any different. Once they got within range Akane would slash into their leg with her skeletal arms. The shock of seeing their own blood caused the other racer to panic and lose balance on their motorcycle wiping out making it so that the two women won the race.

Hikari smirked as they passed the finish line, and ran straight towards a heart that was shining in the sunlight. It sparkled enviously, and Hikari could not help but admire its shine. She did not even stop, and instead kept going at the translucent object. Until they collided with it...without any effect whatsoever.

She looked around, and realized that the whole car was now shimmering with magical power. She could feel its hum, its power thrumming through every surface. Hikari could only smile as she realized that this was supposed to be their reward. Not that it meant anything? At least, not until the system told them what it was. Akane had assumed that upon crossing the finish line Hikari would have stopped the car. However, that didn't seem to be the case as the other women kept going towards a translucent object and it seemed like she had planned to collide with it. Akane didn't even have time to do anything before they had contact but much to her suprise nothing seemed to of happened to them. The raven-haired assassin listened as Hikari spoke to her letting out a small laugh. "Well I never expected you to be a thrill seeker Lady Hikari and while I appreciate I'm afraid I've had enough near-death experiences for one day. If you do another race some other time I'll join you then." With her answer, Akane would get out of the car and walk away while keeping an eye out for other cars to avoid getting hit.
