He could sense the rest of his party around him. Well, at least, close enough to him. Mikael could see from the corner of his eyes his party fighting alongside him. In fact, he watched Natalya poison the fishmen, understanding that the woman was certainly not one he should be messing with. No, all of his party members were very capable, and he was fortunate for it.

Slapping one of the fishmen that had targeted him with his shield, Mikael turned his attention quickly to another that was looking to take advantage of his inattention. Though he was bulky in size, and therefore slower, Mikael made up for it with his strength. Instead of ducking or dodging, Mikael went forwards to meet the charging fishmen, and slashed forwards, cleaving the fishman in two with his sword.

The shock of his own blow made him step back a moment, only to realize his mistake. He took another blow to his shield, and quickly shifted. Instead of aiming his sword against the creature, he gripped the handle of the sword, and used his pivot as momentum to punch the creature in the face, sending it sprawling to the ground, unmoving.

He looked up then, before readying himself to continue to engage if any other fishmen showed up. "You're right, it seems that this welcoming reception was planned. Though I can certainly say we foiled it easy enough." He responded, before leveling his sword straight forward, awaiting another challenge.

Giovanni's metallic armor glinted in the misty light of the surrounding waters, 10, no at least a dozen fishmen were attacking them but from what he could see, he and the rest of his compatriots were making quick efficient work of the fishmen. Giovanni's claws retracted on his suit, as a small tube-shaped device formed from his shoulders and an eerie green light began to charge in the center of the tube. He glanced around doing a double take, to make sure none of the people he was fighting alongside would get caught in the crossfire of his attack.[break][break]
With a grunt of effort, the laser fired from his tube-shaped device on his shoulders and though his magic stat wasn't the strongest, it was still easily strong enough to carve through the skull of one of the poisoned fishmen. Though as he looked around he could see the ones that weren't poisoned were being quickly dispatched by both Mikael and Andy alike. He moved forward on the shifting planks of wood floating within the water, charging his shoulder directly into one of them, before grabbing it by its arm and hooking his free one underneath its side before squeezing it hard in a bear hug until he heard a sickening crack and the body of the creature went limp. It was arguably the weakest of the few he had slain, and as its dead body slumped into the water beneath him he could finally see the shore ahead. [break][break]
"Well, seems like the welcoming party outstayed their welcome," he said leaping from wooden plank to whatever other ship-wrecked platforms he could manage to find before coming upon dry land. [break][break]

With how weak his current opponents seemed to be Andy afforded himself a bit of time to look around. Mikael was cleaving through the fishmen as expected. Natalya was clearly able to hold her own with a plant he didn't recognize. He'd have to get a sample later to examine. Giovanni's attack seemed to be the most powerful however as the man unleashed a laser beam that easily dispatched another fishman. [break][break] While he was watching his companions a third enemy took post on a piece of floating debris nearby. A starfish thrown by the skulking fishman pierced the back of Andy's shoulder. Well, the armor that his large jacket turned into at least. Suppose that's what you get for becoming distracted during battle. He quickly plucked it out of the breastplate and threw it into his inventory for later use. No sense in wasting potential ingredients. [break][break] The fishman hissed as it continued throwing weapons at him. Now that he was aware of the dodging the starfish wasn't a problem. It only took a moment for Andy to close in on the enemy. His blades once again thrust forward into the fishmans body skewering it on his sword. A swift kick sent it back into the water from whence it came. [break][break] By now Giovanni had finished with his group and was making his way toward land. Mikael was laboriously fighting their own battle and Andy debated for a moment if he should help them. With his blades expended for the moment, all he had left were his bombs. He didn't want to hurt his friend in the blast so he set his eyes on Natalya. “Incoming!” A flick of his wrist sent an egg bomb flying towards the enemies near the woman. He then started leaping across the debris toward Mikael in case he needed any assistance as well. With the majority of the fishmen poisoned, Natalya felt that this portion of the battle was over. The men were naturally doing their job; if not taking a bit longer to complete but they were commoners so she had to forgive their slight incompetency in this matter.[break][break]
At Andy's shout, Natalya glanced over to see him throw an egg of all things toward her. It was clear to the Russian that this was some sort of attack, one that was most likely to be an AoE of sorts. With her speed being so low, she doubted she'd be able to dodge the attack and instead decided to equip her dress of Titania as she attempted to move out of range of the attack.[break][break]
"Incompentant fool. Why would you use an Aoe attack so close to an ally?" she thought disparagingly as the egg landed and exploded. That seemed to take care of the rest of the fishmen as a system message popped up in front of her face congratulating them on completing the first part of Ender's Island before giving them the next mission to go forging of all things.

Mikael took a step back after the fight. It seems that everyone else was able to finish their own battles. Mikael himself felt a small strain to his arm from having to block the attacks sent his way, but then again, it was just like every other day. He held out his hand and flexed his joints. Still good to go.

With the mission complete, he expected something to pop up for them. Perhaps a way to rest? Instead, a new mission was displayed on his system menu.

"Gathering supplies..." He read aloud, before turning to his companions. "I suppose helping in maintaining a base of operation was important. Time to forage for food." Mikael smiled, though it was quickly replaced with a frown when a howling was heard from the distance. And then even more howling.

"Of course it wouldn't be easy, hey?" Mikael shook his head, before turning his attention to the group. "Shall we tackle this together, go out in small groups?" He was sure doing this part individually was no good. Danger lurked everywhere, and he was not one to unnecessarily gamble his life away.
