The Local Legend of St. Michael the Archangel in Lokser[break][break]
The following is an excerpt of the local legend, typed by Mikael Hansen for his dissertation.[break][break]
The Lokser legend of St. Michael is an important part of me, unseverable due to my name. As told by the local priest who took me in, the legend tells the tale of a priest naming all of the Saints, and praying for salvation when a storm had continued to rage for days. On the third day, when the priest finally spoke out loud the name of St. Michael, the Archangel, an eye of the storm appeared, dispersing the storm clouds without delay.[break][break]
If it is to be believed, then it was the act of St. Michael that which protected the town of Lokser from uncontrollable flooding. This local legend has not been recognized by the Church, though the local believe its authenticity regardless. Protector, guardian, and healer of those in need, it is this local legend that ties me to Lokser. A local legend that I wish to study further and pursue.

The Salvation's Vanguard is a class that focuses on taking the punishment to protect their allies and will quickly smite any coward that dares try to circumvent them. This is done through the use of their [Coward's Bane] and their basic offensive and defensive capabilities granted to them by this class.[break][break]
Once per post the Vanguard may utilise their innate strength to strike an opponent for damage equal to their PWR. If they hit a foe, the foe is immediately marked with [Coward's Bane] for two rounds. If they are attacking a demonic or darkness based creature however the creature also takes a 20% debuff to their PWR for as long as the Coward's Bane persists on them. Coward's Bane can also be applied through weapons. [break][break]
Once per post the Vanguard may also harden their will and their body, allowing them to block an attack with damage up to their DEF. If they successfully block an attack with this and their DEF is higher than the opponent's VIT, then the opponent is immediately inflicted with [Coward's Bane] as though they had just been attacked by the Vanguard's attack.

SALVATION'S VANGUARD
Evil Burns under the Light of Conviction
STAT BONUS
+2 PWR, +2 DEF, -2 MAGI, -1 SPD[break][break]PASSIVE: Faith Unyielding
Not even the strongest of blows will slay you immediately, your undying will and faith will have you fight on regardless of the horrific harm placed upon you. Each round of combat you can only take a maximum of 70% of your HP in damage, once you have taken that you cannot take any more damage until a new round of posting begins, unless the damage is 2 ranks or more above your DEF in which case it ignores the health gate. Additionally once per page of a thread you may dispel any damage over time or poison effects placed upon yourself.[break][break]This upgrades at S Rank VIT and DEF.[break][break]

Coward's Bane
This is a unique debuff applied by the Salvation's Vanguard, forcing opponents to deal with them before they can safely attack anyone else in the Vanguard's party. When an enemy is inflicted with Coward's Bane, if their WIL is lower than the Vanguard's PWR they must target the Vanguard as though they were Taunted, however the Vanguard can never gain the [Hidden], [Invisible] or [Stealthed] effects against a target marked with [Coward's Bane]. If the opponent tries to harm an ally of the Vanguard's anyway, either through Area of Effect attacks or having high enough WIL to negate the Taunt effect, then they immediately take damage equal to the Vanguard's PWR-2 Ranks directly to their VIT.[break][break]
Upgrades at either A Rank PWR or VIT, only one upgrade may be chosen.

Archangel's Fury:
Drawing on the holy power within your body you can unleash it in a surge of vitality and might. You immediately heal for 50% of your VIT, dispel one debuff on yourself and every enemy within your DEF divided by 2 meters is inflicted with [Coward's Bane] unless they have VIT higher than your PWR. Once used this has a 3 round cooldown.[break][break]Upgrades at A Rank DEF or MAGI, only one upgrade may be chosen.[break][break]
Holy Berserk:
Wrath comes from salvation. If an enemy you have inflicted with [Coward's Bane] would do damage with an area of effect to an ally, or cleanse the debuff before attacking an ally, you can take the damage directly to your [VIT]. Your [DEF] is treated as +1 ranks for determining if your passive prevents you from taking more than 70% of your [VIT] in damage. If the damage prevented to an ally brings you below half HP gain the [Holy Berserker] buff, increasing your [PWR] by 10% for two posts.[break][break]This ability is an instant-use skill with a four-post cooldown.[break][break]
Saint's Grand Haven
You are a sanctuary for your allies, and this ability shows that grand truth to the world. Activating this ability causes an area the size of your [VIT] or [DEF] (whichever is higher) / 10 meters to appear around you. Any ally within this range is immune to damage from attacks and attackers automatically gain your [Coward's Bane] debuff, however each attack that is blocked this way causes you to take the damage instead, in the case of AoE you can and will be damaged by each blocked instance of damage. This ability lasts for three posts and has a six post cooldown.[break][break]Upgrades at SS Rank [DEF] or [VIT].

Hymn of the Angelic Host[break][break]
As a child, a song that caught Mikael's attention and made his creative mind run wild was one that was sung to the children at the orphanage. It was a song about how the Heavenly Hosts vanquished the Devil, and made the world a safer place. The song sings of the might of the great archangels such as Michael, Raphael, and Uriel, while denouncing the evil deeds of their fallen brothers and sisters. Mikael took this song to heart, fueling his devotion to his namesake, while also supporting his own quest for Biblical history.

You gain access to the Archangel's Choir, a series of summons that have a unique function compared to normal summons. They begin at Archangel but may eventually be upgraded, becoming Authorities, Virtues, Thrones and Seraphim in that order. Upgrading an Angelic Summon does not give them additional abilities but instead heavily enhances the abilities they already have as well as their stats. To begin with you gain two Archangels; [Gabriel] and [Michael] and will gain a third once you reach level 50. [break][break]
You may have two Angelic Summons active at once, one in [Armament] form and the other in [Guardian] form. While in [Guardian] form, the Summon acts as an additional combatant under your direct control, fighting alongside you and may use its abilities and stats to influence the battle. While in [Armament] form the Summon becomes a form of equipment that you immediately equip with a unique ability only for [Armament] form. While wielding an [Armament] form Summon, you gain an increase to your stats equal to a percentage of the Summon's based on its level(rounded down), the stats increased are the same stats that the Summon possesses. When a summon isn't active on the field, its cooldowns do not decrease. [break][break]
Every multiple of 10 levels or whenever your VIT increases by a full rank above A you may choose to upgrade one of your Angels. Every multiple of 20 levels you may choose to swap one of your Angels for a new one at the same upgrade level as the previous. You do not need to swap immediately upon reaching the level threshold and instead may keep hold of it until you use it. [break][break]
Lastly, whenever you are hit by a blow you may sacrifice your current [Armament] form Summon, reducing the damage by 50% but rendering you unable to use the Summon for the rest of the thread.
