Dee Dee let Hikari finish off the leader... well "let" wasn't really the right word, she had pushed herself to get to that point and she couldn't really push further, if she was alone she could have taken out her ant queens scepter and continued the fight, but also Hikari needed to train to, though watching her deal with the larger leader Goblin she could see she was fine with ending it, maybe due to the disconnect of not having to physically driver her weapons into the target herself? that disconnect could cause her to not really think of it to much, it was just a motion with her hands and the swords seemed to do things after all. She let her do the grim work, as she caught her breath, The start up to Syncrofight was something she learned to deal with, the after affects as well, the issue she was still having was, she had problems telling when she was pushing to much since they all shared feelings, and she tended to push her body while her Summons waited for openings, this meant that out of the three of them only one felt tired and she lost track of exactly how tired, she would need to use it more to better gauge that, but at least she had means to deal with it if it happened mid fight like using the Scepter or backing away while letting her summons by her some time to get her breath again. She even had a padlock with her that she could use with one of her other items to buy her a respite if needed. Looking to Hikari once she finished off the leader Dee Dee gave her a thumbs up "I am fine, just sometimes push myself to much when I use that ability, Especially as it nears the end of it's effective time, but I have ways to make up for if I do that and it runs out, but in this case I knew I didn't need them since there was only one enemy left and I had an ally that could deal with them, just give me a moment to catch my breath" the word bubble explained as Dee Dee took out a metal Folding Chair and sat down on it, Her Summons coming over and sitting around her as she rested a bit. "Good work by the way, clean and quick, though I have some advice if your willing... The short weapon you have.. you shouldn't aim for boney parts if your going to stab, ribs. skull.. bad Ideas, it could get stuck again, aim for the gut, or the outside of the leg, slashing attacks would also work, basically since you seem to be unable to attack with the others right away try to limit ways the first one can get caught up on things... Second you should consider buying an additional weapon, something you yourself can use in case another situation like that happens again, then at least you still have a weapon to defend yourself with" the Word bubble advised as Dee Dee seemed to be catching her breath. It had more punch than her first two swords, and certainly had the capability to deal way more damage. She had been curious as to how strong her third sword was prior, but now, she was satisfied. [break][break] Hikari nodded at her explanation. "That sounds fair. I suppose the depths of one's power has a limit as well, and we must all learn to play with those limits." She nodded, though now understanding Dee Dee's prowess a bit more. She certainly had learned lots from the woman, "Having ways to combat our weaknesses is always a smart way of doing things." [break][break] As Dee Dee continued her observation, Hikari could only find herself agreeing. But of course, she needed to make sure that she had other items that could protect her. After all, she knew that it was only during her second attack with Shotsuren that she can draw on the power of her class truly with Daitsuren. [break][break] "I have not found any item which I can carry as a weapon just yet." She would want something ranged, as it was her preferred fighting style. "Perhaps one of these days the system will drop me a fan of sorts that can be used in an offensive manner." She had one fan, but it was more utility than anything. "In any case, once you're ready, let us head back and report our success."[break][break] Once Dee Dee was done with her small break, Hikari would lead the way back. It had been an informational mission, and certainly has given Hikari more than a few things to think about when it comes to how she approached combat, and possibly looking for items to support her own style. Dee Dee nodded she was glad Hikari took the advice, though hearing she wanted something ranged made Dee Dee think that perhaps she missed the point a bit, something she could use close in if her weapon was to far from her would work far better then a ranged weapon since her swords already gave her quite a large range, something she would have to advise her on later. For now she got up and picked up her folding chair and put it in her inventory, and headed off with her.
The mission was done for now, this section of the trail was safer, more would need to be done of course but this couldn't be done all at once, it would be impossible, but doing it in small chunks would make it much safer then before and that was the goal, it would never be totally safe, Monsters would always travel nearby or they would set up ambushes if they had intelligence like the goblins had, this was just the new Reality, Dee Dee however started to write down about the Goblin leader, this would go into her next Edition and on the blog so that others would know of it and it's capabilities.
