It was like free money! Assuming someone else actually picked up the job with her and helped her move stuff. After all, She was literally denied the ability to even come take this job without having come here with supervision. Which was why Vanilla was with her! The bombshell enchanter did look like family when it came down to it and Jeanne-Marie enjoyed that she was slowly gaining family among the merchants.

"Se we just have to push the cart up the hill and around the block corner then walk for five minutes?" The french youth would ask the elderly supplier just double checking with him on the matter. They weren't far, but they needed to go further than the elderly man was able to at the moment.

Grabbing the handle to a decently sized cart, Jeanne would give the man a smile. Then wave as she set off with the older girl to drop off the ingredients... except she couldn't get the cart of flour bags, eggs, and butter to budge an inch on her own.[break]

Sure, Vanilla probably could have been using her free time for more productive purposes, but when Jeanne had contacted her about undertaking a mission for extra points, she agreed almost immediately. Although the points reward was nice, she far more cared about whether or not this child was about to hurt herself by carrying bags of product and be alone without help. Although Vanilla wasn't exactly in the bets help either, she still offered to lend a hand. The enchanter came to rest beside the younger girl as the older supplier informed them about the stipulations of the job. It was fairly simple, with Vanilla nodding at the elderly gentlemen with Jeanne. "We'll do our best to see this through. You can count on us." The brit looked down at the frenchie just in time to see her trying to push the fully loaded cart by herself. While humorous in itself, Vanilla looked at the handle and prepared herself for how much work this may have been going to be. "Jeanne-Marie, let me push the cart. You can hop on board, if you'd like."Vanilla took up mantle behind her, her hands grabbing a hold of the cart handle while then pushing the cart forward. The two were then off, with the payload moving and the short shop owner continuing to move along. "I know how it may feel to be a little too short. Trust me."Jeanne-Marie |

It actually felt a little bad, but her dad had not taught her to just simply take free labor. You always worked for what you earned, and if that meant years of incredibly intense labor - then that was what you did in an economy. As Vanilla rather kindly took the handle, Jeanne would turn a little red from the sudden babying. She was a respectable business woman dang it! So what if she couldn't pull the cart! She would just help push it then!

Moving behind the cart she put her hands on the metal backing and began to push, alleviating at least some of the resistace for the older girl pushing the cart forward, "I can help too! I don't need to sit in the cart, and I can watch the eggs this way!"

The little girl would explain with a note of positivity. She was tougher than she looked and she would prove it with this! She was actually willing to put money on her being tougher than Vanilla, but she was not gonna start that argument at all. It was bad business to spark a rivalry where you wanted cooperation.

She already had a pretty decent hold on the cart already, but it did warm her heart a tad to see that Jeanne-Marie wasn't one to just sit idle as the adults did most of the work. It did make sense considering that the little capitalist probably had a good upbringing to be that way. And she did seem like the kind of kid that Vanilla did actually find herself enjoying the company of. Maybe it was just the both of them sharing a desire of dreaming of big business. Or the fact that they looked related. "Alright. Just try and be careful. I don't want any of this stuff falling on you." she warned and would push the cart up the hill alongside the younger future baroness. They pushed a little more as she kept an eye on the precious cargo on top, making sure that they wouldn't spill. "See as we have some time to kill..." Vanilla said as she looked down at the pre-teen pushing the cart alongside her. "What did you do before coming here, Jeanne-Marie? "Mhm! Papa was raising me right to inherit the family company! We sold a lot of stuff over in europe, but mostly in Germany and France. I actually really miss Paris... but its okay! I live in Unison Central with Kitty right now, I came to advertise my guild I'm making while I was bored." Jeanne would state as she struggled to push the overbearing cart up hill. Struggling from her small frame not really having the strength to push such a heavy load up hill.

Straining from the effort, Jeanne-Marie would continue to exert herself as she pushed until the crested the hill and found themselves in front of the actual business they needed to reach to be able to deliver the goods, the baker already there to unload the cart of its goods with a grin on their face. Thanking the two girls for their assistance in the delivery and paying the two out. Telling them to leave the cart return to them they would move everything inside with one arm, closing the door on the two.

"Mission Successful! For other great jobs and money-making opportunities you should join my guild though Mademoiselle Vanilla! It'll be like having an older sister in the business! Except you have to remember that I'mm the guild leader hehehe," Jeanne would state with a small chuckle as her portal back to Unison Central opened. "Your father was teaching you that at such a young age?" Vanilla asked, repeating Jeanne's answer while listening to the rest. She'd be astonished that this child had been thrown into the world of finances and such at such an early age. Didn't she have, like, child stuff she would have wanted to do? That awful man might have been trying to rob her of a childhood with all that preparing for the future and investments. It was a lot of assumptions on Vanilla's end, but could anybody blame her? "It's nice that you're staying with somebody, at least. I was about to ask if you wanted to come stay with me." she said to the little tycoon. She'd have to see if this Kitty woman had a proper home for her. Their delivery had been a success, with the mission target getting the supplies they had ordered from a while ago. The two watched as the woman collect her supplies and then close the door in front of them. Jeanne would even mention that guild idea of hers again as Vanilla listened to it. If the girl's financial reputation was to be believed, this could be the opportunity of a life time. But then again, it was the sixth offer she had gotten now. How was she supposed to choose anyway?! "I'll think about it." Vanilla said as she waved little Jeanne off. "Just stay out of trouble, alright?" Vanilla joked, watching as she'd be on her way back to Unison Square.
