Hana peered back at the spiders as they stared at her...blinking when they finally wandered off. Realizing Sebastian was distracted by piloting the compass spider, something she was familiar with, the musician shrugged and joined the spiders in spiraling out from their position.

She didn't get too far before she heard the call, turning towards the sound. Hana rejoined the other explorer, before happily heading towards their new destination. "So, what do you think we'll find inside? Treasure? Or just another mission?"

Thankfully it wasn't a long walk to the ruins the spider scout had discovered. The crumbled building was somewhere obscured and camouflaged by jungle growth, but not too well hidden. Earth-chan wanted them to find the place, after all. "I'll lead the way! At least I don't have to carry around flashlights anymore."

After a moment in her inventory menu, three floating stage lights popped into existence, bobbing about in the air nearby. One shifted to follow Sebastian, another near Hana's shoulder, and the final one moved in front of her to light the way. "Inward! And, uh, I assume downward..."

Sebastian quickly glanced over at Hana as she and the broodlings joined him before turning back toward the ruins. "Hopefully it ends up being some sort of treasure but who knows with Earth-chan. That little thing is weird." the spider assassin said before sending in a few of his broodlings into the ruins.[break][break]
While nothing had popped up as he used the spy compass, it didn't have any mass so it wouldn't be able to trigger any traps. He wasn't sure if Hana had any trap detection or disable skills or if something like this even existed within the system but this was the easier method in his opinion.[break][break]
"Given they didn't seem to have triggered anything, I guess." he said, sounding a bit wary as he followed behind Hana.

Hana was wearing her protective jacket, and equipped one of her shields as well, just to be safe. "Um, I'll do my best to watch out for any traps or monsters or whatever." It wasn't her specialty either. Dee Dee would've probably had a few ideas about this sort of thing though, she was full of surprises.

The three floating lights bobbed about as they continued inside, doing a relatively good job lighting the way, considering they weren't designed for this at all. "Nothing so far but dust and, ugh, cobwe-" She cut herself off suddenly, not wanting to insult Sebastian, or his small army of arachnids.

Down, down, down. No real surprises, although the tension continued to build. "At least it's getting cooler down here." Not just out of the sun, but underground as well. This place seemed to have been abandoned hundreds or thousands of years ago. Impossible, of course, since Earth-chan had created the place less than a year ago.

"You got a lot of items huh? Makes me feel a bit poor" Sebastian joked as Hana equipped herself. He still had the axe and compass, but aside from that, he didn't have much in the way of gear. "Think I have some spare points that I should be able to get some gear."[break][break]
As the pair journeyed down, Sebastian could only glance at her back as Hana cut herself off. Did she think that he would get offended because of the word cobwebs? That would be silly. "But then again, that's just the kind of person that she is."the teen thought before opening his mouth.[break][break]
"Hopefully what made the spiders that made these cobwebs remained normal size and didn't get upgraded? I'd rather not have to fight some giant spiders in such a cramped space. I'm the only one allowed to take advantage of that." he ended with another joke.[break][break]
After 20 minutes of walking, one of his broodlings suddenly came back and began gesturing toward the pair. Stepping forward, Sebastian nodded his head before turning to Hana. "There's a big chamber up ahead with some kind of statue so I think we've reached the end of these ruins."

The musician shivered at the idea of fighting giant spiders. At least these ruins were slightly more comfortable than the sewers she'd been talked into exploring a while back. "Oversized animals are definitely Earth-chan's style..."

Hana was surprised when the spiders scuttled around in front of them, followed by Sebastian stepping up alongside her. "A statue? This sounds like the place then." Nodding, she continued along, following their skittering guides.

"...oh. That's a statue alright." She shook her head at the sight. A giant statue of Earth-chan's smiling face, with carvings of humans worshipping underneath. Hana couldn't hold back a sigh, stepping forward to examine the display they'd discovered. "There's, like, some kinda item here. Oh, it's a map!"

As she picked up the item with her free hand, it disappeared into her inventory. Sebastian received notice of an identical copy deposited in his storage as well...a few moments before some ominous rumbling began. The pedestal the map had been displayed on now spiraling down into the floor. "Um...that's probably not good, right?"

Hana gave her companion a sheepish smile, before turning her attention to the new arrivals, hidden doors sliding open as the pedestal lowered into the floor. At least these statues were less garish than the one looming over them at the moment.

She also recognized the stray monsters that followed the warriors in. "I wonder if these ones are any stronger..." Hefting up her handy hammer, Hana took a big swing at the sea creature...which once again exploded into surf and form. "Ah, nope!"

The moving statue seemed slightly more formidable, though. And Hana was more than happy to let Sebastian and his pets deal with the sickly looking wolf. The musician got a chance to use the shield she'd equipped, as the warrior took a swing with its stone sword. When the two items met, a melodic tone pulsed through the room, causing cracks to appear on both of the inorganic warriors.

The weeping wolf was ripped apart under a tidal wave of his broodlings, leaving just the two stone angel warriors. He figured Hana wouldn't want to deal with it given what happened last time. By the time he was done with that, Hana was clashing with the angels; cracks heavily visible in their form.[break][break]
Hana would hear the words "Torn Tapestry." being uttered from behind before a web of string sliced their way through the two statues; outright destroying one of them and heavily injuring the other. "Guess it was stronger than I thought."

Hana shoved the stone sword away with her shield arm, pulling back to swing her fist at the warrior next, sending it sliding away. The two crashed together, now in perfect position to be caught in the flying web, crumbling one and restraining the other.

Hammer gripped in both hands again, she wound up for a giant swing...blasting a hole in the statue's torso, sending limbs and head flying in multiple directions. "Whew! Glad that's over." She nudged the pieces around with a toe, making sure everything had stopped moving.

"Well, now we've got a map. And...no more missions popping up." Hana checked her inventory to examine the key item they'd recovered. If this was the end of the trail, they could teleport out of here and get back to a Safe Zone. Hopefully with new missions and other options unlocked!

With a swing of her hammer, Hana destroyed the last statue, ending the mission since nothing else jumped out at them. Overall, Sebastian would rate this mission as a success though given how over-leveled he and Hana were it was much of a surprise. Now though, he could access the rest of the Ender's Island missions, hopefully proving more exciting.[break][break]
